What type of weapon are you looking for to be small?

Side weapons, mainly. I hate that every warhorn has clipping issues with my knee when I’m in combat, lol. I think I’m just too obsessed with clipping, it annoys the hell out of me. I need therapy.

That has nothing to do with size and everything to do with model placement. And if clipping bothers you, I don’t know why you play MMORPGs. I don’t see clipping being fixed for another decade.

There are tons of smaller weapon models. That is such a non issue I don’t know why you are having a problem.

Even the smaller ones are not small enough for my liking. But I’m just super picky so nevermind me… ^^

The backpack design is just bad. Really, I mean it. Like 70% of backpacks are variations on hobo sack and most of them look silly to boot (who straps a chest with an anvil on your back? It’s like 90 kilograms, try it yourself, seriously anet). Of the rest, few are decent, and many have oppressive particles.

What about the cooking one? It’s literally a lit grill that isn’t secured shut. If you dodge roll with it you should have a chance to catch on fire.

Simply put, no. It is a very sad thing he passed away, but he lived a long and very enriched life. Remembering all the good he did is more than enough. It would be a bit patronizing to put something in GW2 memorializing him. It’s a great game, but it is still a game and very transient. Decades from now GW2 will be mostly forgotten, but everything Nemoy left behind will still remain.

Not sure if serious…

Why would he not be? He’s absolutely correct. Ferocity is one of the reasons that Zerker builds are the meta. And healing power is currently pure garbage.

Sadly, that is the problem with Asura. Almost everything is too small to see so it makes collecting skins on them largely useless and a waste of time.

Staffs are excellently displayed, and the same with Scepters too. And I think certain Rifle skins look down right HUGE on an Asura. All the shields stick out just find and dandy. Daggers, Horns, and Focus(es?) (Foci?) all have the visual microscopic appearance with the brilliant miniatures. So it really is a hit or miss based on the weapon model with the Asura. Then again my character -although considered very small by the other races of Tyria- is considered big for an Asuran.

Axes also get sized down a LOT.

Conditions are fine except in two areas of the game. In fact, they excellent in the others. The problem areas are zerg events where you have a ton of other allies and/or a timer which makes me wonder why you’d be running ‘damage over time’, when the sheer numbers makes attrition completely silly and nothing more than a roleplay. The other is dungeons where people want to clear things quickly and question you motives as a ‘team player’ who makes the conscious choice that they’d like to kill things slowly. Use conditions where they’re effective and use power where it is effective/needed. OK. Now that we’ve got past the psychological inistantce of PHIW and using the wrong builds for the wrong content, we can agree that conditions are fine.

No they aren’t fine. Just saying it doesn’t make it so. And believe it or not, some people play for fun and like a certain playstyle over efficiency. Is it really wrong that someone likes to play condi? Why is it an option if it’s frowned upon almost universally? Anet just needs to redesign conditions from scratch. They are horribly overcomplicated and restricted right now.

Harpoon gun simply doesn’t work without water. That is all there is to that. And while I don’t see why spear and trident couldn’t be used on land in the most basic of manners, they would need brand new skills. If you are doing that, why not just bring in brand new weapon types?

Stack limits are an hardware issue. Imagine two WvW blobs running into each other, you’ve got easily a hundred people duking it out, potentially hundreds of conditions being stacked up. The hardware simply couldn’t handle all that computation (or rather not efficiently), so they limited conditions stacks.
If ANet got more processing capacity, or found a cheaper way of doing the math we could see an increase in condition stacks. However I don’t see it happening soon though.

Too bad. They need to strap on their big boy shoes and learn how to make it more efficient. No sense in having all these conditions if they aren’t worth using in large groups.

If condition builds will ever get a chance, stacks need to be based on the character, not condition type. Even in 5 man groups you have to look and see if anyone else plans on stacking similar condis to you and adjust. That’s stupid and breaks condi build viability.

Dailies are a bonus. You aren’t required to do any of it. And there are 3 versions of dailies. PvP, WvW and PvE. Surely that isn’t asking too much? Even then, they still give you options. Still, nothing you get from dailies is required for anything and you can skip them and not miss anything. You are making a monstrous deal out of them being generous. It looks really bad on you for not only looking a gift horse in the mouth but spitting on the owner while you are at it. Don’t like the dailies? Don’t do them. Problem solved.

For how old the game is and how integral skins are to progression and collections, there are WAY too few models in the game. What is even worse is a fair number are currently unobtainable or locked behind the lockbox lotto wall.

Even though the quality is overall lower, WoW has a much MUCH larger variety for visuals than GW2 by several magnitudes. Thousands of armor models. Even more weapon models. It’s VERY easy to look unique if you try. Meanwhile in GW2, if you want to look good, you will see many others with the same gear. Not very inspiring.

So no, I would argue variety is very lacking and HoT needs to double the available armor models in the game, or at least add 50%. And with the new models, add same variety and give Asura and Charr some love. Instead of taking normal armor and stretching it for their models.

There are very few instances (like maybe two) where you need to do a JP to complete a map and typically those are very easy instances as well. If it’s really that hard for you, just ask a mesmer friend to help you and portal you up, it’s really not that hard.

The issue with arguing that some forms of content should be “optional” is that it then opens the door for a lot of other arguments. Someone could argue that doing hearts should be optional. Others will go as far as arguing that combat should be optional, and so on, so forth.

It’s just silly to ask for certain kinds of content to be removed or segregated from the main game simply because some individuals don’t like it. JP’s form a core part of the GW2 experience just like other features might form a core experience for another game. If you don’t like that core experience, perhaps this is not the right game for you.

Why? I would love the idea of anything you do being viable and not feeling punished for not wanting to do any part of the game you don’t enjoy. I would much rather the game be a la carte then told I need to eat everything to get my dessert.

Here’s the thing, you don’t actually “need” to do everything. You only do something if you want to achieve a particular goal. Want that Flame legion armor? Do CoF. Want map completion, do that one JP to get a vista. Want fractal weapons? Do Fractals. Etc and so on.

However, you don’t HAVE to have dungeon armor. Nor do you HAVE to complete a map 100% or do fractals or anything else. You can play however you want to. The only thing that dictates what you do, are your own personal goals. And let’s face it, that’s what games are really about these days. Completing a specific goal to get a specific reward, and this is the same for all games, not just GW2. In fact, I’d say GW2 is a bit lenient in this regard because it often offers players multiple ways to achieve specific goals. For example, if you don’t want to do a dungeon to get a specific kind of armor, you can do PvP and get the same armor. Or, if you don’t want to do crafting to get a legendary, you can just save gold and buy one doing other content, etc.

I would like to make Mawdrey. It requires time in Dry Top which is essentially one big jumping puzzle. Not going to happen. The current legendaries ask you to participate in multiple parts of the game. There are plenty of other things that if you want to complete them or get a new skin, you can’t stick to your comfort zones. I just want things to have more options on how to acquire them. They can be equally hard or time consuming, I don’t care about that. I just wish I could avoid parts of the game I don’t enjoy and still eventually get things I want.

Fair enough. I just wish some of the effort that has gone into the RNG lotto weapons from lockboxes would go into the new legendaries. Fused, Ley Line, Tormented, Dream Thistle, Pact Fleet, Tempest and even Pheonix seem to have more effort put into them them Bifrost or Frenzy.

TLDR: He wants armor with more of a Diablo franchise look.

More or less id like some good looking armor . Alot of the armor we have now isent that great ; and its got some clipping issues on the norn and the chaar which need to be fixed. Namely the chaar’s tail.

I don’t mind the clipping too much. The more elaborate the armor, the harder it is to avoid clipping. But I find that, especially for charr and asura, the variety and visual appeal of armor is lacking. Also some weapon varieties are severely lacking. Staves in particular have a LOT of boring models, while swords and greatswords have an excess of amazing models.

Once again i agree . But we need some armor to match these weapons that are out; We have ice weapons and no ice armor . We have norn and no barbarian or really good looking viking armor . Just stuff they need to add , it adds immersion ya know

I’m all for adding more variety, that’s for sure. It’s just in games like this that it irritates me a bit that I hate playing “boring” races. You know, ones that have a profile just like a human? Boring. Sadly, the modeling done for the armor for Asura and Charr isn’t the same quality and it’s really annoying. And as I stated before, I would like maybe 2-3 of the armors to show some femininity for Asura and Charr. It doesn’t have to have bustiers or boob windows, but when the other races get garter belts and underboob halters, it’s a bit obvious that you think female means show skin.
