It’s a Legendary armor after all. It can’t just.. be there. People should feel and look proud while wearing it. Instead, we forget that we have it on sometimes.
The flip flop is real.
Devs made it clear they’re not doing another pack of legendary armor skins any time soon. And any time soon in this case means probably never.
That’s not exactly what we’re asking for.
See the below picture link. Each yellow circle around our division represent a PvP Legendary Piece that we have made (not necessarily something we need to wear for this to show). Five armor pieces and The Ascension. Very minimal, simplistic, and it gets straight to the point. This is something i’m fine with.
In the OP, asked for legendary effects. When being confronted, flip flop to “No I wanted a different division icon.”
In anycase, I’d rather them spend more time on real features instead of wasting time on this. For example:
- Fix Aura visual so it’s easier to tell
- Red outlines on targeted enemy
- PTR for PvP patches
- Monthly balance patches

There is no way a vanilla Ele can beat a decent Tempest. You just don’t have enough dps.

This is how Retaliation should works:
1) Slowly increase damage over time as long as the boon is still on. Each second gain ~200 damage. To a cap of 2000 damage.
2) When you get hit, deal that damage to the attacker, and reset the “stored” damage to 0
Pros:
- PvE: you can store a good amount of damage (2000) in case you get hit once by a mob. There is no pressure to shove your face out and get hit constantly to maximize Retaliation
- PvP/WvW: group Retaliation is not too strong anymore since the damage resets.
Best of both world. Numbers can be tweaked as needed.

There is a purchasable repair kit. It’s on Black Lion Market. It’s pointless to ask ANet to do something if it reduces their revenue.

They should make it so that Retaliation only affects melee attacks, and increase its damage a bit. Something like 1s internal cooldown is also good.
PVE:At level 80, retaliation deals damage according to this formula:
200 + (0.075 * Power)In PvP and WvW, retaliation damage is reduced by 33.33% and calculated with this formula:
133 + (0.05 * Power)
Right, for PvE, you mob hits you once every 3 seconds. Good luck getting hit twice before the book wears off. And even then, it deals 350 damage.
For WvW, one Meteor Shower on a Zerg with retaliation can get you down even after you use your heal skill.
They need to increase retaliation damage in PvE and add a 1s cool down to PvP/WvW.

Condi has higher “effective” dps due to not having to rely on the dumbness of the opponents to deal damage via skills like Lava Font/Meteor Shower.
People will keep citing the fact that Ele has the highest DPS on dumb targets whenever anyone brings the “Ele is weak” topic up. So it’s not gonna change anytime soon.

Yes, with all the particles effects flying around, it’s very hard to see the target anymore. The Ted outline will help restore the sanity to the players and allow us to see what’s going on.

Since we already have the tech to create a Demo character running a newer patch, can we keep a PTR running so we can help test the new patch before it releases? Just let the user create a new demo character a week before each patch, and people will help providing feedback, especially for balancing.

For leveling, it’s staff Ele with Fire/Water/Arcane with Berserker gears. Just camp fire and keep a distance. Use mostly fire 1/2/3 and 5 if it’s a big mob and you have people to tank for you.
The point is to kill mob before it touches you. Also, Ele is very gear dependent, upgrade your gears to full Rares every 10 levels.

I have 5 sets for my Ele. They are all from drops except the first set. You don’t need ascended though. I raided/wvw before with just exotics. Play long enough and ascended will just rain from the sky. They filled up multiple tabs in my bank.

Current:
- Creates 2 conjures, one in hand, one on the ground. Last 30s, with 60s cool down.
Should be:
- Create 1 conjure on the hand, last 20s, cool down 20s, store 2 charges.
- Conjure can be dropped and pickup again once.
This has the same up time as the original design (100% up time). This also allows the Ele to share a conjure with friend (by dropping it). At the same time, it’s a lot less clunky than the current design.
People don’t use conjures not because it’s weak, but because it’s extremely clunky.

It’s only when you got hit. And it has 1s cool down. If the necro only put the condition on you and walk away, the condition won’t get cleansed. Diamond Skin is not good without going pure tank. Water traits is mandatory.

- Sword #2 range should be 600.
- Sword Earth #2 should be able to cast while moving
- Sword AA final hit should be max 1/2s
- Stone resonance should remove a condition per pulse
- Reduce Weaver global attunement cool down to 2.5s to be on par with core Ele.
- Nerf Primordial Stance damage. No one utility skill should be the main burst for the whole build. That’s OP.
- Remove the lock-in-one-place cast requirements for elite and skills. The class is clunky because of those.

Right now Water is a must have line because it has the most reliable condi cleanse traits inside. It limits build diversity a lot. I think we should spread out the condition cleanse to other line so we can have more build diversity.
I think it should be like this:
- Fire: cleanse when received burning
- Air: cleanse every 1s on superspeed (that trait belongs here, not on Weaver)
- Earth: cleanse on hit above 75%, every 0.5s
- Water: cleanse on Regen
- Arcana: cleanse on attunements
- Tempest: cleanse 2 on starting an Overload (only once)
- Weaver: cleanse on gaining a barrier
Then we tune down Ele ability to gain more Regen (which basically means condition cleanse in the old system). For example, remove Regen on aura on Tempest.
This enable builds like Fire/water/Arcana. Or Fire/Air/Arcana. A lot of possibilities there.

I don’t really mind the Victory screen one way or the other, but perhaps a compromise then? Keep the Victory screen, but remove the corpses of the losing team from it, so you just see the winning team standing on their pedestals.

I think they should flip Unravel Hexes:
- Currently: remove non-damaging conditions
- Should be: remove damaging conditions
I don’t even want to ask for a big buff to remove all conditions. I just want it to remove the damaging conditions.
With that change, this build will lose about 20% damage (losing a lot ferocity and raw damage buff since we will switch grandmaster trait), but then we gain a way to deal with conditions somewhat. That’s a fair trade off.

Added though:
Stone Resonance should clear one condi ever Pulses. This will fill the lack of any real condi clear on the weave elite spec.This will be nice to have but will not fill the requirement, not even close. The frequent condition application and the condition bursts in PvP/WvW require fast and frequent removals. A long cd skill with slow cleansing ticks doesn’t fix it.
I think you’re asking for too much. I think a cleanse per pulse is balanced. Not too weak and not too strong.

Did the same thing but with scepter and arcane shield instead. I died extremely fast to condi bomb though. The range helps a bit, but still, it’s best to just run away from necro. Immune Spellbreakers can give you some trouble when they pops immunes, but running away and come back works. One interesting case I didn’t expect to be a good counter is P/P power thief. They hit Unload for 2k each, constantly. If you got caught off guard it’s GG.
I still hope the global cooldown is 2.5s so it’s on par with core Ele, which can switch through attunements in 10s.

- Holosmith/Scourge too much damage
- Deadeye can kite and never die, but won’t be able to hold point. People will say it’s trash in conquest, but it can be deadly in other game mode.
- Weaver is too too high risk but not enough reward. Melee weapon with lower dps than range.
- Spellbreaker has too many immunes. You can kill it with kiting, but it’s not fun to fight against

As I said in another thread, in core Ele you can swap to all the attunements in 10s, spending 2.5s in each. For Weaver, you have to spend 4s in each attunement, for a 16s total.
Just make the global cooldown 2.5s to be on par with core Ele. I don’t need a buff, I just want it to be on par with core Ele.

Instead of asking for a removal of GCD (which will never happen), we should ask for a 2.5s GCD instead of 4s. Core Ele can rotate through all 4 attunements in 10s. Weaver doesn’t need to be an upgrade, it should just allow Ele to weave all the attunements in 10s.

For core Ele, you can rotate through all the attunements in 10s, spending 2.5s in each. For Weaver, you need to spend 4s each, for a total of 16s. If ANet doesn’t want to remove the global cooldown, we should at least reduce the global cooldown to 2.5s to be on pair with core Ele.
I’m not asking for Weaver to be an upgrade over core Ele, I just want it to be on par with core Ele.
Same thing with Barrier values. Core Ele can swap to water and heal for a lot more than the barrier dual skills provide. It doesn’t require skill casting. It’s instant. It’s raw heal that doesn’t decay! Like, barrier value should be higher than raw heal for the reason that it decays. Again, I’m not asking for an upgrade, I just want it to be on par with core Ele.
And sword damage, at least makes it as strong as Dagger and reduce the cast time. Like, what’s the reason to sacrifice range, put yourself into risky position, and have worse damage? The rewards should be proportional of the risk.

Because the game is not designed for duels, it’s designed for 5v5s. If it was designed around dueling we wouldn’t have conquest. We’d have team death match.
This myth about “it’s designed for 5v5” still persists.
95% of all the fights in this game are 3v3, 2v2, and 1v1. Back cap and 1v1 on point happens a lot more frequently than 10 noobs clashing in mid disregarding the other 2 points and map objectives.

- Capture point starts big, around 420
- Whenever a fight happen around the point, it gradually becomes smaller over 20s
- Min radius is about 180
- When no fight is happening, gradually becomes bigger over 20s

A lot of people cited Meteor Shower as why Ele is OP. As in “Ele top PvE/WvW DPS”.
They used it as a way to justify Ele nerfs, and prevent Ele buffs, like “Ele is still the top pick for PvE/WvW”

Why would they alternate back and forth after 3 games? That’s a lot of pip loss. That’s 6 games for every 2 pips net gain each side, 90 games total. If they allowed one team to blow from the bottom of ruby all the way to diamond, that’s 15 games. They’d use the safety barrier of diamond to boost the other team. That’s 30 games total, no pip loss. Not only that, since the games are rigged, they’d probably blow through them very quickly and finish at least one division per night.
They should probably cut it from ranked if only exploiters are using it.
