I would like to add that we are now recruiting anyone who happens to really be interested in a fun experienced casual group of guild raiders that know what their doing for raids. Rather than going about pugging it without TS and without experience.
This content is very very hard but extremely rewarding and we hope to help out a lot of people in game, be that by allowing them a large selection of new-recruits and or experienced people to tag along an teach you how the fights work.
We are currently on boss 2 and have had the best time in a very long time from old-school to new with this content.

Does this trait remove 1 condition per shatter or one condition per illusion shattered.
Again I don’t get the chance to really test these things in matches I just try and survive.
I don’t see an option for the raid in the LFG window… Why is this?
Unrelenting Assault will be cancelled if there is no valid path to the target.
Was the Portal distance short? Because if I recall correctly, the only teleports that ignore “no valid path to target” are Portal and Thief’s Ambush trap.
It was on the other side of the map basically. I was in GY, and the portal was on the cliff right next to WF.
It’s not a bug. UA is working as intended.

You forget that base necro is awful in midfights (well, maybe not awful, but not very effective, either) and is much better on a side point, whereas Reaper thrives in team fights (especially if you use shouts)

I’ve been trying them with blighter’s boon, that extra 1 might/second is basically like having perma regeneration while in shroud.

No no they can’t. The only other class in the game that has wells, (necro) cannot use them underwater. Just saying.
Anet probably tries to consider all 8/9 classes in the game when balancing, not just mesmers and eles. So you get beat by eles (read as “skilled players”) now, welcome to the club.
I’m sorry but there is no defense for d/d eles nor has there ever really been a real defense for them.
People that defend d/d eles just don’t want to learn how to play other than rolling their face across the kittening keyboard.

What is your balance team smoking?
Considering your boonshare on phant summon, is signit of inspiration really necessary? +10% boon duration, random boon every 10s, but the boon sharing part? Is the build significantly weaker without it? Or weaker vs alternative utilities?
I’ve found that with just one ele or guard, having the signet will allow you to get one SOI off every 15 seconds and 100% 25 might stack up time. It also can allow immense team stacking of literally every boon in the game if you time your chaos storm/shatters right.

Blind on shatter needs the bug fix to not go through evades. And not using mantras while cc’d would defeat the entire purpose of mantras.
The healing mantra needs increase of CD since mantra recharge change not sure about other ones.
No increases on CD’s until Anet confirms whether or not that mantra recharges in the background is a bug or an intended change.
Keep in mind a mantra build has not been used at all in game since release.

I tried using inspiration. I really did. I tried using it with mantras, and without mantras. Well it is just so boring. And it still took forever to kill anything.
Thieves make sense with it (in some areas maybe too much bit overall, it’s in the right place).
Mesmer’s should NOT have blinds, really at all… Their whole game is confusing the enemies and dropping target and making clones, adding blind on top of that is both silly and doesn’t really fit the class.
Guardians deal with flashing lights, makes sense to have a few blinds. Could be toned down since they’re also the blockiest of blockies.
Elementalist really shouldn’t have many blinds. Blinding Ashes should hhave been a 10 sec ICD per target and add a little more offensive flavor to it.

Okay if mesmers shouldn’t have blinds that means that any of our traits dealing with blinds need removed. However I also propose that:
Engis, Warriors, and Thieves should not get confusion in any skill or trait at all.
And warriors and thieves should not have torment, at all. I mean if we are being fair on which classes should and shouldn’t have things.

I mean, there’s no guaranteeing it’ll be great, but I’m sure it’ll at the very least see some use somewhere. But its true, if you don’t like shield, you don’t have to use it. But I always try out new things when they come to PvP because it helps me understand them better and counter them more effectively since I’m bound to run into someone using it. I personally hope that it’ll make for a more reliable AoE interrupt than Pistol as it’s doubtful iCaptain America will outdamage duelist.
I’m not as excited about the damage as I am the conditions. Slow on a single target is gonna be kinda nice and make for some nice dueling.

You do realise mainhand sword is taken pretty much exclusively for the evade, somewhat for the (buggy) in combat mobility via ileap/swap and a little for the melee clones with boon strip? In other words it is taken as a utility weapon, not a damage weapon.
The auto does little damage and requires a (squishy) mesmer to be in melee range, and so does BF if you want to land damage – what pathetikittentle damage it does, also allowing you to be hit by things like retaliation or say Static Field…
If you get caught by ileap/swap into BF, then that’s the enemy’s fault – it is by far the easiest combo to dodge/avoid/block or just kill the clone rendering swap useless.
The vast majority of BF use is defensive. For everything else, Greatsword, Staff and Scepter are far better now.
If you seriously have difficulty killing a mesmer who is using mainhand sword then I don’t know what to say – it’s extremely easy/predictable to prepare your damage, wait for the evade frames to end on an attack that ROOTS the mesmer (slap down some aoes under them) and unload as soon as the mesmer is “exposed” again. Mainhand sword is hands down our weakest mainhand weapon, especially with the buffs scepter has got.
As a side note what about the ridiculous evades on ranger Sword/Dagger? should we nerf those skills because “evades are overpowered”?
And seriously – many, many players were using mainhand sword (greatsword + sword/torch) for a long time while “top players” were on the double ranged greatsword+staff power shatter bandwagon. I have a lot of respect for Helseth, but saying people started using sword because of him is not accurate and disrespectful to most of the ingame mesmer community.
Removing evade from blurred frenzy will utterly destroy mainhand sword and I promise you nobody will ever use it again over other weapon. Then we will have 5 offhands (including shield) with 1 useful mainhand (scepter) and I also promise you the entire mesmer community will kick up the biggest ****storm in the history of mesmer nerfs, even more than the “accidental” temporary nerf to Distortion when they changed it from an invuln to an evade.

Static Field is too big,people can evade inside that and so on. Rangers are one of easiest targets to take down in team play,that’s why you only see them in soloq.Oh please, Helseth tought people,how to play mesmer (and much more…rotations,etc.). If he played GS/staff , people played that combo. If he plays gs/s-t,people start playing that. People before said portal is kitten, Helseth played portal and now every mesmer plays portal. Again,anything he plays,traits and does,copycats and wannabe are gonna do same.
Helseth started playing S/T because the blast radius on torch 4 became bigger and you could FINALLY do something else whlie stealthed with torch 4. Also the phantasm on the torch is one of the shortest casting phantasms along with staff and GS. The other three are a whopping 1.5 s cast time making it really hard to keep your damage up with them. Not to mention people picked sword back up when illusionary leap was finally fixed to just spawn the clone next to the target unlike you know run the opposite direction. I have had that happen to me before. My target was up the slope I hit illusionary leap, my clone went DOWN the slope.
But yeah mes is easy whatever.
People didn’t play s/t because “that’s what helseth played” they did it because it became the best option to still keep a barely viable class somewhat viable.
Helseth didn’t “teach” people how to play mesmer the people that were really dedicated to the class have figured it out on their own. It is hands down the most intricate class in gw2.
Mesmers are broken. The ones denying it, should really take a look in HoTM around them, see the increase of Mesmers, think its even most played class now in PvP. I wonder why..

That said my only suggestions to properly shave mesmer is
1. Increase ICD of CS to 10s per target. As it is now it is 5s across the board.
2. PU remove the might from the boons but then decrease the duration of stealth to 3s extra max.
Are people really kittening about the stun/daze effect? kitten bring stun breaker/stability/block/blinds/invul/etc. So basically when you’re stunned, you stand there and let someone burst you. You deal with it the same way you dealt with CC before. What changed? Did they introduced CC in this patch?
If the issue is the cooldown/precharge, I can kind of see the issue. If so, make it like the thief’s venom. You can precast it but it only last 30 secs then you have to cast it again. No ICD between charges and CD starts after cast just like venoms.
clearly every class has plentora of stab/stun breakers on low CD………
Just one stunbreaker is all you need because if you eat anymore past that guess what?

Oh also! This was a time when Anet was considering putting an internal cooldown on deceptive evasion.
So maybe we should look at past nerfs before crying for more? Just maybe. If blurred frenzy is touched again mesmers will have no decent mainhand.
So full of it. Nerfed blurred frenzy? They changed it from a invulnerability to a evade which in this game are the same dam thing. You can’t be controlled or damaged, unless you already have condition on you, with both a evade and invulnerability.
The only thing that slightly affected you is the 20% increase on cool down and even that wasn’t much. It is still just as spamable just like the block for engineers which needs to be toned town.
Mesmer has always been strong 1v1 just like Thief have fine defenses without stealth even if all you people do is kitten the opposite. Most of this community that is left is just to bad to see it. That is why all the actual pvpers abandon ship a long time.

I think mesmer a bit too strong. I run mantra shatter so I’m more stunlock/support than outright burst, but the PU burst builds seem a bit enraging to most players if they can’t remain calm..
although I’ve beaten PU burst while running mantra, so maybe I’m just awesome, idk.
And everyone is going to come in and say “so the only way to counter mesmer is another mesmer, got it that’s fair.” blah blah blah

yeah, mesmer is too op currently. but I think anet purposely made mes in that way cuz mes were out of any tourney team formation so far. but it is also clear that anet do make something op to make something familiar, just like we saw from celementalist. But this kinda action anet doing is actually sad rather than letting users decide to make a form of what kinda team.

Mesmers were in WTS and TOL all the time.
Ranger is the only class that doesn’t show up in TOL3 top 8 teams.
Necro is almost on the same boat, but at least they do present in a few quantity.

However for quite a while especially once DUMBfire was initially introduced mesmers were considered not viable at all. And they were only slowly brought back in by mesmer players that were the most hardcore mesmer players.
Lets not forget the spirit ranger nightmare that was also around the same time as dumbfire.Please. Every class has had their chance at the top of the pedestal. It’s mesmer’s turn. Come off it.
I am very confused about all the people always saying mes wasn’t viable. It was always viable before the latest patch. Helseth? Misha? Frostball? You just had to be very exceptional because d/p thief basically hard countered it.

It’s very funny that you mention helseth and misha, Frostball hasn’t been in the competitive area for long enough to talk about how “mes and long term viability.”,
However, for 2 ToL’s Misha on 55 HP Monk’s played thief not mesmer, Helseth and Supcutie openly admitted several times that they knew them being on mesmer was more of a liability than if they had played something else. The only mesmer in WTS Boston was Supcutie, and the only reason he played mesmer is because he and Eura were going for a weird “ranged burst experiment.”
And the argument that mesmer was always viable, you just have to play at a Helseth level of good to make it viable, is about the worst argument you could make. So because that one person made it barely viable playing perfectly at the highest level of play means it should have been viable in all tiers of play in every players hands.

THey’re all usually running mantra shatter right now , it’s way better than PU .. Insane survive, insane dmg and good utility .. You have everything pretty much. Everyone’s running it way more than PU because it’s broken.
Mantra shatter does have good sustain, however it is much easier to lock down than PU and requires a bit more skill to do well with. PU requires…. nothing.

The only issue I could agree with mesmer was that only 1 spec was meta material since beta but was countered by zerker thief but with zerker countered other zerkers in 1v1 that is. This is the first time I hear that mesmers were a free kill.
Mesmer’s remind me of that spoiled middle child that has to make everything about them and are always complaining that they have it so hard because they didn’t get the cellphone they wanted for their 12th birthday.
We are more of the red headed step children that didn’t get anything until our parents realized that we were almsot dead and should prolly be fed before CPS gets called for neglect.

longer cooldown would be fine, but if you want to gut the skill by not allowing it to stomp I expect to see plague form nerfed also. I, like many necromancers take an elite transform with stability to safe stomp and the proposed nerf would take me right back to warbanner.
I think Lich should be able to stomp, and while it would be nice for tornado the constant AOE launches throw downed bodies around so giving it this ability would be pointless.
Necros use it skillfully to time stomping to avoid getting interrupts. However once fully in plague they cannot stomp. Plague counts as a stun breaker.
Necro’s are no longer free kills so everyone wants us to get nerfed.
Still not on the same level as other professions. But no longer miles behind them.

yeah, mesmer is too op currently. but I think anet purposely made mes in that way cuz mes were out of any tourney team formation so far. but it is also clear that anet do make something op to make something familiar, just like we saw from celementalist. But this kinda action anet doing is actually sad rather than letting users decide to make a form of what kinda team.

Mesmers were in WTS and TOL all the time.
Ranger is the only class that doesn’t show up in TOL3 top 8 teams.
Necro is almost on the same boat, but at least they do present in a few quantity.
How come I don’t see ranger got the OP buff treatment, but rather nerf all around? (except for LB, BM line and WS)
Guess Anet HATE HATE HATE ranger so very much.
The abjured and Nos say knock knock. Necro has been used quite a bit thanks to them.
However for quite a while especially once DUMBfire was initially introduced mesmers were considered not viable at all. And they were only slowly brought back in by mesmer players that were the most hardcore mesmer players.
Lets not forget the spirit ranger nightmare that was also around the same time as dumbfire.

That last statement totally cracks me up. We aren’t a top dog class. That one still goes to eles and warrs. Just look at the last ESL. Double eles everywhere. Hell radioactive the team that gave the abjured quite a run for their money was running double ele and double rampage warrior.
Wow, really wow… using NA ESL as argument, so much competitive. Probably if Abjured would play 5 Rangers, they would win anyway just by outrotating enemies.
However at same time two ESLs happened at EU.
- : Both teams in finals been focused on Mesmer+Thief.
- : Winning team was focused on Mesmer+Mesmer+Thief.
