The Family Deuce. Asuran Adventure Specialists.
Charged Quartz will also drop rarely when mining the Quartz node and rarely from Trick-or-Treat bags.
Are you NA Nandor? If so then you may want to check out [FIRE] really nice group when I’ve had the chance to run with them. They may be a little more WvW oriented than you’re looking for but they do PvE stuff as well.
Here’s their recruitment post – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/NSP-Chariot-of-Fire-FIRE-Christian-NA-1/first#post4756751
Hello, I’m interested on getting on your server and playing with you guys but It’s not possible for me to select the server. I need to pay in som kind of currency to do the transfer. What is this kitten? : )
Ah that’s because you already have a home server. When you select a home world that’s where all of your characters are created. If you just want to PvE and sPvP with us it’s not an issue as the megaserver system lets people from any server play together. For WvW you do need to be on the same home server.
Hey Elite,
Yeah I forgot about the PM restrictions for new accounts. No worries I’ll try to catch you in game later and we can chat.
Cheers
Adaephon
There are no add-ons for the game although there may be an app for Overwolf or some overlay that will give the info.
Honestly I’d say it’s an experience thing. All of the status effects, conditions and buffs have obvious tell tale icons to help you identify what’s going on. These icons will appear just above your heal skill and across the top of that skill bar.
With regards to the reflects the tells are rather obvious. Wall of Reflection (the Guardian skill) conjures a glowing blue/white wall of light. Feedback (the Mesmer skill) conjures a solid purple dome.
Not all abilities are very clear though.
The guardian skill ‘’stand your ground’’ is just one short poof of a blue circle.
Through experience you will quickly notice the buffs on your enemies with their durations?
By recognizing the iconds? That skill also has the audible tell of the Guardian shouting “Stand your ground!” but yeah you just need to pick up the icons. So stand your grand grants Stability (the little Pillar Icon) and Retaliation (the little Fist icon).
I meant for the enemy it can be hard to recognize when the guardian does stand your ground.
Not for the guardian himself.
Not sure if that was clear.
I’m honestly not sure then as I’m not a PvP player. I would have thought you could hear enemy shouts when they activated, perhaps someone with some actual PvP experience could clarify for me?

Bumping for the Badgers
Well we are not raiders, And we have already played 2-3 of characters to top level. So getting on and doing the dailys seemed a fun way to continue with the game with our topped out characters versus leveling another.
Thats why the loss of the dailys meant so much for us as the game seemed at end game for us as we did not want to raid.
Thoughts?
My thoughts are there aren’t any raids (unless you’re talking about Teq and Triple Wurm which are both optional) so this is really a non issue?
Have they added more content or opened cap to allow for more questing for prior topped out characters? Will the expansion allow for that?
Expansion is adding masteries, new maps, adventures (think repeatable hearts) expanding fractal levels (and hopefully adding some new fractals!), adding new specialisations and the ability to use new weapons for classes and other stuff. Check out the blog posts on the site for details of what’s coming. You’ll probably need to go back quite a few pages to get the details – https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/
There are no hard roles (tank/dps/heal) in this game. It’s built on a soft trinity of control/support/damage. Each class can do everything to varying degrees. For example Guardian offers good group wide defensive support (reflects, aegis (blocks next attack), regen, stability, condition cleanse) along with some solid damage and a little bit of control (immobilize, pulls).
EDIT – Guardians can also Blind quite easily (can’t believe I missed that!)

1. All 3 are new player friendly so you’re ok on that front. For PvE all are good in open world, whereas Warrior is preferred by a lot of groups in Dungeons. Ranger’s not bad in Dungeons as long as you learn to control your pet. For PvP all 3 do quite well. The PvP forums would give you a better idea of how each perform.
2. If you can get Living Story Season 2 or play through with a friend then that may help to get you up to speed.
3. Having a personal bank guild is generally a good idea. Otherwise you can join specialised guilds for certain things. Just be careful of guild rules when you join as some may have 100% rep requirements and prefer you didn’t rep other guilds.
4. For completing an event/heart you will receive rewards (loot/exp) relevant to your level. So yes in my opinion it’s worth doing them.
You mean the Radiant armour set? There is a full set just that no one has unlocked it yet as you need a minimum of 30,000 AP.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Radiant_armor
Thanks
I unlocked every core skill/specialization with hero points, and i read that there are elite specializations aswell, but where can i find them?
They’re not released yet and will be released with Heart of Thorns.
There’s a cap on achievement points earned through Dailies (10,000 I believe but I think with removal of monthlies they were moving this up to 15,000) and some of the achievements that are repeatable have a cap (example – Agent of Entropy has a limit of 250 AP).
Otherwise I don’t believe there is a cap.
Actually I didn’t buy it, I changed my mind after reading this thread from DaveyC. And my son is not getting it either, cause I hold the purse string.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/So-Disappointed-After-The-First-Beta/first
You know that thread from Davey is about the performance of the (unfinished) Revenant Class in the Beta right? A lot of these concerns have since been addressed by the team as you can in Roy’s post here
Great tips guys, last night got my Gift of Mastery after finishing my world completion. Without paying for mats, I’ll need to get about 200 gold just to get the runestones and craft to 400 for the Unicorn Statue and Gift of Wood. Decided last night to do some PVP, and I went ahead and printed out a list as well. Right now I’m wondering what’s the best way to get the mats I need without just trying to get gold to spend on them.
Assuming you have nothing else you need to spend them on then Laurels are a good way to finish of your stacks for legendaries.
Staats where removed from trait lines when they became specializations. To compensate for this base stats were increased from 926 to 1000 and base stats on armour were increased. More info available in this blog post -
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/specializations-part-one-a-primer/
You need to go to the discovery panel and put a +1 and a Thermocatalytic Reagent into the discovery to craft a +2. You then need to repeat this each time you want to go up (i.e +2’s to +3’s).
The new dailies aren’t too bad in my opinion, except for one thing.
One of my main uses of dailies in the past was to help level my alts. Completing the full daily was a pretty good xp boost, and there were some less large boosts for the individual parts. There doesn’t seem to be any associated xp now. Not a huge issue, but I do find it lackluster.
You get XP scrolls now which can be used by any character under 80 (gives 5% of a level) or save 20 of them up and buy a Tome of Knowledge from Miyani at the Mystic Forge (or any forge attendant I believe?) which will give you one level.
(edited by AdaephonDelat.3890)
Short answer – Yes.
Long answer – Yes it is. You will see people all over the game and should have no issue finding groups for things like dungeons etc. or finding a guild to join.
Server Aurora Glade – We do accept players from any server but for WvW purposes the majority are on AG.
Language English
VoIP TeamSpeak
Guild overview
BAD is a casual PvX guild based on EU Megaservers with a WvW base on Aurora Glade. We’re largely PvE focused with members who also enjoy sPvP or WvW (sometimes both!). We have regularly scheduled events including missions, WvW evening and dungeon/fractal runs.
What are we looking for
We’re open to players of all experience levels who are looking for a fun and quirky place to socialise, learn, teach and experience the game.
How to apply
You can either apply through our website or contact myself either on the forums or in game
I have to tell the OP that Tamini is a centaur tribe. They are actually called centaurs, not Tamini.
Also, I must play Tengu so plz put them in next expansion anet. Polearms tooOP? And I know they’re centaurs…lol, the one of the only “friendly” centaur tribes
OP = Original Poster.
Also the Tamini are not friendly to humans. They’re the mean nasty Centaurs found around Queensdale trying to kill you. The hostile Centaur tribes are the Tamini, Harathi and Modniir.
The friendly ones from LS2 are given the name of the “Maguuma” tribe according to the wiki and I can’t remember them being named in the LS (although I may have missed it).
Welcome to the Glade Ballistic. Gorani’s already posted the community site if you want to check that out. Otherwise if you want to add me in game I’d be happy to try and help with questions etc. if I can.
All PvE is merged with the Megaserver system so it’s not an issue which server you choose for PvE as you’ll be able to play with any other player from that region (NA or EU). The only thing server matters for is WvW so you may want to check out the rankings on the GW2 website or on http://mos.millenium.org/matchups for more info about server positions.
I’m biased and will say join Aurora Glade but depending on what you want to do in WvW then that may not be the best option for you or it may be one of the better ones.
Should probably give Esh a break so bump for AG :-P
1 – you can forge them in the hope of getting something better or just sell to a merchant and get a few copper out of it.
2 – In the hero panel, bottom tab (Achievements), top left hand corner underneath your AP.
3 – You get all rewards in splash screen once you’ve completed it. The mail is just a congratulations. Here are the zone rewards – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_completion#Explorable_zones
Unfortunately you cannot play with people based in a different region to you. You either have the options of -
- moving between the regions (not practical and/or very expensive)
- moving all friends to one region (if people are willing to move)
- buy a new account and set it up on the other region (this is a good one when there cheap sales on the game. Not so practical anymore)
It can be combined in the mystic forge with 3 other masterwork items to make a new one.

Gliders are only going to be usable in the new HoT maps not in the old maps. So the old JPs will be fine whereas new JPs in Maguuma may require you to use the Glider .
There
Where is it written, thou shalt not rideth upon a mount, yea, especially should that mount increase thy speed in travel, lest ye game be mistaken for WoW?
Just above my post. In yours :-P
[FIRE] over on NSP are all really nice people. I’d recommend getting in touch with them. Here’s their recruitment thread – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/NSP-Chariot-of-Fire-FIRE-Christian-NA-1/first#post4756751
As Mark said a little while ago -
We currently have no plans to implement an in-game voice communication client. There are plenty of viable third-party options available, such as Ventrilo, Teamspeak and Mumble.
Thread – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/In-game-voice-comms/first#post4037346
Now whether those plans are going to change I don’t know but as far as I’m aware this was the last communication we had on the subject.
You mean like the recipe already in the game involving 1 masters salvage, 1 mystic coin, 1 pile of crystalline dust and the shard of crystallized essence?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Glob_of_Coagulated_Mists_Essence
Skill points and Scrolls of Knowledge were converted into this currency as a part of the June 23, 2015 game update.
Better how? Try different classes if you don’t like the one you’re playing.
I believe it’s been confirmed that yes you will start as level 1 as a Revenant.
If you deleted the characters that had the gifts before you claimed them then you can’t.
That’s the Carapace armour. It’s a reward for doing the second half of Living story Season 2.
Here’s a gallery and some details -

The head piece is the Wreath of Cooperation – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wreath_of_Cooperation
They may be account/soul bound and not be saleable. Examples of this are items received from the level up chests.
Yes I have decent idea of how they all work. Here’s the wiki details about combos – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combo
Yes I do believe there should be more info about combo fields in game. You do get some info as you level up but I believe it’s just a pop-up prompt along the lines of “There are combo fields!”
Over a dye color? Kay bye.
lol i guess some of us are ok getting screwed over in real life n in game
yes if anyone want. i will give away my gold rather then enriching the rich.
Can’t believe no one said it yet but anyways… I can haz your stuff?
Serenke got in there an hour ago. If I’d seen it sooner then I was going to do it.
PS – OP here’s a link to Dulfy’s dye gallery. It may help you choose another dye – http://dulfy.net/2013/12/24/gw2-dye-gallery/
Here’s the wiki article about Pets – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pet
Short answer – Rangers have 2 terrestrial and 2 aquatic pets that you can swap between. Pet management is unlocked at level 5.
It takes years to get this very nice looking skin, and i want it so bad.
Can you place this skin also in gemstore for the players who dont have time to wait or play to get it?I dont mind if this skin cost double gem price like 1600 gems because i like it so much.
If others also wanna buy this skin please reply, you normaly get one piece from achievement chests, but to complete all pieces of armor it can probely cost more then 20k achievement point’s, while i already spend so much time each day ingame and also on the forum’s.
Players who play like 2 hours a day will probely never get it complete.
If complaining at least do some basic research…. seriously.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement_rewards
By 9k AP you can have 1 of the sets complete (gloves, shoulders, helmet) or mix and match. By 18k AP you have both.
Also there are only 3 pieces per set. Now go troll somewhere else.
Huh only 3 pieces?
still wishing they’d add a Herioc Edition upgrade to the Gem store for those of us who bought a plain boxed copy before they changed to heroic.
You mean like this – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Digital_Deluxe_Upgrade ?
By smaller quests I’d guess you mean the Renown Hearts and Events in the maps. You’ll find those whilst doing map completion.
The story is split into chapters that unlock every 10 levels starting at level 10.
1 – EU or NA? Servers only matter for WvW now as the megaserver system they’ve put into place merges all servers in PvE and sPvP. The higher ranking servers on the leader boards are the more active WvW servers. Here’s one of the ranking sites that should give you an idea – http://mos.millenium.org/matchups
2 – Race is purely aesthetic so there’s no real easy or hard. Which race do you prefer?
3 – To help you re-learn the game and to learn your class for the first character or two I’d recommend PvE exploration. Do hearts, events, complete maps etc. Otherwise a mix of crafting and Edge of the Mists will probably be the quickest but it probably won’t be the best overall to re-learn the game.
4 – Dungeon farming, Silverwastes (a new level 80 map), Edge of the mists karma train, TP flipping.
5 – EU or NA? Otherwise check out the Looking For section of the forum.
What level are you? I’m guessing you’ve just finished the level 30 story chapter so the next one will unlock at level 40.
This link may also help as there’s instructions on how to turn on mobile authentication – https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/66122673-Guild-Wars-2-Account-Security
Already gave my game ID and my Email. a Buddy just told me Im probably gonna get hacked. What do I do
Usual thing. Change the passwords on both accounts and make sure they’re different.
You should probably remove the link. Otherwise have a look at this thread explaining all the regular phishing e-mails -
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Common-Phishing-Attempts-E-mails-In-Game-Mails/first#post4980574
Also I’m guessing if you looked at the bottom of the message you received it will say “This is from another player and not Arenanet” (or something along those lines). That’s a good indicator it’s not legit.
(edited by AdaephonDelat.3890)
But, that simply isn’t a viable choice in speedruns, as it doesn’t fit in with the skip>permastack>melee thing (due to ranged weapons doing less damage at short range).
Gonna be a bit pedantic here but the bolded statement is only true about Ranger Longbow and Mesmer Greatsword auto attack. All other weapon skills on the Longbow do the same amount of damage if they’re cast at 200 range or 900 range.
Also the name Ranger describes someone who “ranges over an area” as in wanders far and wide (go to example is Aragorn form Lord of the Rings but you could also take Drizzt from DnD lore (uses twin swords I believe?)) and not someone who is solely an Archer.
