I remember getting Moaed once. And killed the mesmer who did it, as a Moa. Gutted for him.
i was doing a 1v2 against a really bad mesmer and a ranger. Ranger lb 4s me and mesmer lands his moa, and i went straight for the mesmer and almost managed to down it, still as a moa! but that pesky ranger was firing at me all the time and he won in the end
It’s easier than that:
Skill (of each player in the team, with their class and in reading the match and rotating efficiently) > class (not only yours, but also of the rest of the team) > build (good skilled players can work wonders with ‘lesser’ builds.
Heya instead of whingeing im trying to figure out what the best way to beat reapers is. Or at least get constructive help on how to beat them.
Playing s/d
One fight i did against a chillomancer , i kited his shroud and he did no damage to me while it was decaying, i burst and cc’ed him outside of shroud and without stability for cc’s, dodged ‘all’ his heavy hitters and warhorn daze, yet still succumbed to his persistent dots, essentially only chill and bleeds from staff marks.Locked him down with dazes and basi venom outside shroud to get a great burn, however he didnt dodge any of my abilities, he kinda just stood there mostly. He didnt even use the staff fear to get me off him.
I did hit him a few times in spectral shroud to give him life force once he hit 50%, he used it all up while being kited and popped it again towards the end but it didnt matter at all since i melted slowly to dots.
Am i doing something wrong here?
ask the thief that made me cry rivers of blood yesterday. Went against a team and said, good! 2 thieves! seconds later, i was stunlocked and killed in no time. And it happened every teamfight, and even 1v1 one of the thieves was just unbelievable and stomping at the speed of light. I want to learn to play like him.
I’m wondering how many people currently posting on the forums have called time on the league after a little over a week?
After a day of games, and unenjoyable win’s/losses I’ve called it quits.
Good luck to everyone still playing in the league.
i still play, i am doing much better than last season. I didn’t have any incredible winning streak, but i am winning more consistently. I only play 2-4 games per night and always go to bed with more pips than what i had.
I feel bad for reapers when I fight them 1v1.
so you must be the guy that made me go to bed yesterday….
and i though i was getting bad at reaper.
So far i’ve only seen 3 good thieves, but those 3 totally destroyed me in humilliating ways.
What i’ve read about the thief, is not that it’s in such a bad position, but that the revenant can fill the same role with less risk.
The majority of people who play this game are casual players and prefer to soloQ …. why punish them in order to benefit a small percent of the community?
so let’s punish the guys that try to play better instead?
Last season, teaming up meant facing groups with good coordination that would destroy you because you were just a bunch of guys playing together. Now, it only means that you run less risk of getting terrible players in your team.
Also, last season, playing well was awarded with tougher match ups, and worse team mates. This season, playing well is awarded with better teammates, which one is more fair?
You can team up with anyone, btw, you don’t need to be superfriends or anything. If you still cannot win is because you won’t do what you already know you have to do to win.
Im not going to say its op, i’m not going to say it isn’t op.
But the couple people saying that you aren’t op because you can get focused fire is a little ridiculous don’t you think? Of course you shouldn’t be able to live if you ganked…
All i can say about reapers is the chill uptime is insane, and is very strong, but they recently at least toned the damage of it down in the last patch, and i think its likely to be addressed further.
For now though, enjoy your necros, its their turn to be top of the food chain for a bit.
well, there are classes that can survive getting focused. there are also classes that don’t have to stand on a point to deal damage. We are very powerful but are only effective in melee range, and cannot disengage easily, so i think it’s balanced.
Also, the insane condi managment a necro has, is almost nothing in this new condi meta. You transfer and they transfer back. You cleanse and in the next second you have all conditions know to man on you again.
I am enjoying the necro but for tough fights, it feels useless if you don’t have some serious support.
Playing my Necro at the moment and literally all I have to do is press F1 and then own anyone near me.
This is a joke. Please nerf me so I can play other classes.
if that’s all you do as a necro, you must be one of those necros i kill so easily when 1v1.
I always mained a necro, and i consistently own around 90% of them, so there must be something more than hitting F1, or they would give me more trouble.
*Pips - the +2 for braking a losing streak. though it’s a nice idea on paper. in practice there is a lot, i mean A LOT of collateral damage. People start AFKing or losing on purpose so they can lose 3 in the hope of getting a win on the 4th to get 2 pips back up again.
First of all, losing a match purposedly is forbidden and can result in the player who does it being banned.
Second, you don’t have better chances to move from tier by getting the comeback pip. Taking all possible outcomes into account, if you win the third match after 2 loses, you end up with more pips on average than if you lose that match.
Also, if you count streaks only, there’s exactly the same chance to move from tier if you win than if you lose the third match. In any case, only 3 consecutive wins are the only thing that grants you will advance tier (both in sapphire and emerald), but you will get there sooner if you win the third match, of course.
So if you see someone still doing this:
a: report him
b: tell him he is wasting his and everybody else’s time.
pushing far works if well coordinated. Having a bunker steal far works wonders to disrupt the enemy team.
Also, when my team is wiped in the first mid clash, i usually head far instead of going back mid. No point trying to retake mid in a teamfight when we obviously don’t have what it takes to win a teamfight.
mm is not setup to give anyone an advantage. You are playing in the same division other people are, so you play against them all. You can have the advantage, or be in a serious disadvantage, but it all depens on your relative skill level vs the competition.
And, to your second comment, there are still obviously better players than the people losing all the time, playing their division. That they don’t play 30 games a day doesn’t make them any worse.
Anything that implies that the losing player is probably not the best pvper in the world is taken with a negative connotation. I had a post erased and been infracted because i said losing streaks were totally related to player skills (not just in the use of the proffesion, but in the understanding how the system works and doing what it takes to stop a losing streak).
It’s so simple: you play against everyone in your division, and the quality of players in your team depends on your mmr. if you get bad players in your team then you have to group to offset your bad mmr. If you still cannot consistently win, it means you grouped with the wrong players, or if your teammates are on your skill level, then you DO need to get better, as you are clearly not good enough to beat the division consistently.
You can do one more thing: wait till the best players in your division move on and more players below your skill level reach your division. Then you will get wins without getting any better, and you will not worsen your mmr due to constantly losing, but it’s probable that the players below your skill level rage quit before reaching your division.
Telling a player to get better is not a big issue. The game does it to you everytime you die, but most people fail to read the signs.
Last night, for example, a thief told me to get better many times. He stun locked me, avoided everything i threw at him, even he let some colleague die just to come out of nowhere and kill me afterwards. After the match, all my teammates were saying things about this guy’s mother. He couldn’t get better praise in pvp, and i couldn’t get a better teacher. The sad part is, I still haven’t figured out how to beat him next time.
(edited by Aenesthesia.1697)
thief, mesmer and elementalist can counter invuln stomping if they are the downed.
Necros can help any downed player counter it, but nobody brings that trait.
besides, constantly rezzing downed players is a kitten and prevents op players like me (just joking here) to kill people when in numerical inferiority, so even though my necro cannot invuln stomp, i am all for it. .
What you people don’t seem to understand, is that your vision of a fair, competitive league, is anything but fair.
If i am a pro, it’s VERY unfair that i have to face only pros to get out of the trash divisions. If i am better than the average player in my division, i should win most of the matches, because, heck, i am better! And if i am worse than the average player in my division, then i will lose most of the matches, because… am i worse or not?
What we need, is a better match making for unranked. That way, people that want fair matches for every level, can play unranked and leave the ranked people alone. And no, unranked shouldn’t have access to the same rewards as ranked. I will never get the legenday pvp wings and i could care less. But there has to be a reward for better than average players.
And the most terrible thing is almost none of those require any amount of skill.
because, to arena net, casual player = lobotomy patient.
So, to cater to caual players, most of the content in this game requires 0 skill, but infinite amount of time, so the casuals don’t complain after 2 days that there is not much to do.
The worst thing? every time anet launches some challenging stuff (that doesn’t reward you anything worthy either) a lot of these casuals flood the forums complaining how the game isn’t casual oriented anymore.
I experienced something like the op. I started ok, with decent teammates, and then after 4 losses it was horrible. I was winning 1v2 against the opossing team but our team would lose anyway.
I decided not to wait till things got better (or worse) and i teamed up, to win 5 consecutive and get out of amber. The players we were playing against were horrible, btw, and that was the biggest problem: once your mmr is low enough, you lose even to horrible players because your teammates are just as horrible.
The cure is teaming up. Last season it could be bad if your team wasn’t well coordinated, but now, just to offset the chance of having 3 thieves in your team, is a worthwile move.
72 consecutive loses WTF!!!
well, i cannot claim my hell is nearly as terrible as yours. But man, you should have done something way before reaching this awful number!Team up, really! if you play pvp that much, you surely will find a regular team, so you won’t have to worry about mmr. You only need 1 other guy to get you through emerald and possibly can also reach ruby with just a good teammate.
This season started nicely, with a reasonable win streak. The best thing i noticed, is i was being paired with reasonable people. We could win or lose, but my teammates were ok.
But today something went horribly wrong. Now i am on a losing streak, and my teammates seem to be getting worse by the hour. We have lost games against teams with people that barely knew how to play their profession. The last match was the worst, with our team winning every teamfight but our thief commiting suicide again and again, and nobody keeping close-
I guess the game now thinks i am bad and pairs me with bad players. The thing is, i cannot win playing with these guys, except by chance. I can carry some games if my team is half decent, but i am not good enough to carry a team of horrible players to victory.
Am i condemned now to rot in hell? should i pick another profession, in the hopes i start with average mmr and don’t screw up next time? should i uninstall?
i guess i could also try to form a team, but i play at rather erratic times, so it’s difficult to get anything stable going….
Necro is not supposed to buff allies but to debuff enemies. That is why I still don’t understand why a-net did not implement a very simple thing: a unique debuff which increases the damage received by the enemies. It would work the very same way (and be as efficient) as some of the damage buff other classes give to allies, but is a debuff so fits the necro theme.
For example:
- blood is power: 25s CD: consume 20% LF and inflict a debuff called “X” on nearby enemies for 10s
- X: increase by 10% damage and condition damage received
problem solved.
We have this debuff, it’s called signet of vampirism, only when compared to spotter, for example, it’s ridiculously underpowered.
Im going to run my reaper without deathly chill trait and see how I do…to see if it really is that over the top. Will probably run dhuumfire instead on my reaper and onslaught for faster auto attackd in shroud but I digress I want to see if it is really the only condition I need to win. I feel people are too focused on it but neglect the bleed, poison, terror, and vunerability that kill you….but chill alone? Or those condi players that spam cons on a nec but cry foul when they send them back or eat them…
..a game mechanic that’s been around since beta… But chill…now we over doing it.
The strength of chill comes in teamfights. You slow everybody and their cooldowns. The damage is not such a big issue.
I actually run into a good condi thief that kept avoiding anything i threw at him and killed me twice 1v1. I managed to kill him the third time around, but the guy did eat my self esteem.
Why would it be a screw up? It’s only fair that, if you are good, you are rewarded with a good team. And then, to advance, you face any team in your division. If you are better than average in your division, you will move on. If you are not, you will have to wait till your division gets worse (good players ascending) to be closer to the average.
In the past league, the mmr would reward good players with horrible teams to keep your win rate at 50%.
I had a streak where i won 8 pips after winning 4 matches, with two losses in between. My chance to win was so low that i didnt lose points for lost matches, and i won double everytime.
Now, i get matched with decent players against anyone. If they are better, they will win. If we are better, we will win, that’s only fair.
mate, stop talking nonsense. People don’t qq that they can’t reach something, not everyone want to reach top. They qq that system is broken. And yes, it’s. Legendary players will have no problem to jump to top divisions, problem is match making. It was told that if you are on 3 game lose streak you will fight against those with 3 loses too. I am at second division and had 15 loses in the row. I have been playing against same team few times in the row, how it can be that they just won against me and I have to play against same players again being in losing row?
So dude, be so kind, read first what people are talking about then post your disappointment.
where did they say you would get paired with people with your winning (or losing) streak?
I don’t recall reading that. What they said, is the mmr would be used to make your team, meaning you play with people more or less at your skill level.
And then, the oposing team is selected among the teams in the same division. So, until all the pros leave the lower divisions, you will be farmed by them, take it for granted. You will also play games against opponents under your skill level, and should shred them to pieces.
I think it’s really fair. Last season, the pros had to beat the pros even to advance in amber. It made no sense, when newbies could advance at the same pace because they were fighting newbies.
Also, last season, the mmr would pair you with people well below your skill level if you had a good enough winning streak. Last season was just a grind. This one? It’s a challenge.
At least I know I am not running Meta build. I though play Scrapper but I play a build I have come up myself and it is really good as I beat most meta scrappers at my level. But necros are the death to me as my build does not give alot condition cleanse.
with so many necros running around, you are doing something wrong if your build cannot take on them.
that’s the reason build diversity is gone: people use what better adapts to the current situation and, ironically, the better way to deal with the meta is the meta!
i haven’t come across so many necros yet. Yesterday, the daily was for the necro win, so that may influence.
last season i split my playtime between my necro (main), the dragonhunter, a revenant and an ele. I ended up playing more with the ele, as i could still face anybody, as opossed to the necro, where going 1on1 on an ele was a big no.
But with the nerf to diamond skin, we are no longer hardcountered by a guy sitting there. Also, conditions seem to be the king now (thieves, rangers, necros, eles) and no one deals with conditions as well as a necro does.
So for the moment i am back to the profession i know better. I’d like to better learn revenant, but i feel i can do more as a necro right now.
That, and many necros are really bad, so winning all 1on1s is a big boost to my self-esteem
to the OP: i agree with you in part, except for the part about winning 1on1s. If you play any build it’s not only because you read about it in metabattle, but because you tested it and made it work. i usually never play metabattle builds without changes, because some adjustments depend on the teams comp and are too specific to be useable in solo qeue.
metabattle just saves time. You can pick a build from there and twist it to your needs. You can also start builds from scratch and they will end up looking a lot like the ones in metabattle given enough time and testing.
I now return that to the pro league. Learn to play, boys.
ah, but i think they did learn to play. They moved to the new meta and went to play the pro league finals while you, on the other hand, became a full time troll on the forums.
you can’t seriously be defending the horrid alacrity meta. It was the ugliest thing i have seen in an mmo so far.
I think it’s inevitable that HoT will get nerfed to boost its popularity and no amount of forum posts telling folk to get better or learn to play will change that.
Ah, but there lies the problem. I am not telling anyone to get better or learn to play. Arena net is, by launching new, more challenging content.
And what i find puzzling, is not that people die in these new areas a lot. That’s to be expected because this game didn’t do anything to challenge them so far. No, what’s puzzling, is that people don’t even question if they can beat the new content. They see that they die where they usually didn’t, and then it’s arenanet’s fault for making difficult content, instead of being the players’ fault for not even bothering to think how to beat the new content.
If you sell an expansion that only attracts a subset of players and if that expansion only pleases a subset of that subset then… aw, you do the math. It’s only counting.
The lazy or not commited players are also a subset. Admitely very attractive for a developer, because it’s people without expectations except ‘give me something brainless to do while i do something else’. But they are not commited and will leave sooner or later. The demanding players are also the most dedicated ones (not necessarily in time), and the most loyal. Cattering to the vast majority can look good in the short term, and leave you with nothing in the long term.
(edited by Aenesthesia.1697)
They need to nerf more of it if they want those maps to become, you know, popular.
The imminent arrival of gliding in core maps did make me pull out my finger and go into HoT to unlock gliding but I can’t say I enjoyed the experience. It felt more like playing Metal Gear Solid than Guild Wars, sneaking around hoping most of the mobs didn’t notice me. I died and died and died again but I’ve got gliding now so the rest of HoT can return to its slumbers in the box of unfun. Life’s too short to spend game time on stuff I don’t enjoy.
Really looking forward to gliding in the maps I do like though…
They should make maths easieryou know. Learning to sum is more than enough for anyone and my head hurts when trying to multiply. Don’t tell me about calculus, please, that’s hardcore content that makes my ears bleed.
Reading is also fine, i finished cinderella and little red riding hood (not the perrault version, as i’ve been told it has hardcore content and i am a casual reader). Poe? Come on, it’s not fun. After the first paragraph i have died many times and have to ghost walk all the way to my corpse. Nerf poe, give me pages full with pictures so i can understand what’s going on.
Music is cool. I mean, have you played simon says? That one is rad. Tachaikovsky? Nah, that one is boring except the part with the cannons firing to that tune if i ever bothered i would know it’s the national anthem of France and then some typical russian tune, but that’s for hardcore listeners only. Give me a nice ringtone and nicki minajs analconda. Thats content everyone can enjoy, specially with the volume downso i can watch tv and tweet at the same time my toon autowalks from point a to b, undisturbed in the old maps i have grown to love.
There was a time when lazy people would be ashamed of their attitude. Welcome to the century where the standards conform to the slowest and, if not, they are brought down.
They were significantly unskilled though, so we’ll see when I match up with stronger .
Up to ruby most of the dhs ive encountered are pretty bad. I know because i use a dh too, from time to time, and i beat most of them.
Dropping Wurm for Rise can help a lot with DHs. The one spawned directly on the DH will pop his first set of traps. The spawned one on you stands a chance of popping the second set if he drops that immediately. IF one stays alive, it will also help you mitigate the damage of his bow / GS.
Your scepter will kill him faster than he kills you, if you’re dodging his true shots instead of using your dodges to pop traps. Also be sure to walk out of Symbol of Energy and Hunter’s Ward. You really don’t want to get held in place by the latter, but you don’t need to use a dodge for it either.
If same skill level, he’s 9/10 going to land Spear of Justice, since he wants to wait out your dodges. Try to get Infusing Terror up between your dodges and before he drops his second set of traps. That may save you from the pull.
(Rise also helps a boatload against Revenants and Thieves, but is worse if you’re against team makeups that can just burst down your horrors quickly).
I was going to say rise.
Usually i dont have a problem beating dhs who sit on a point. I have, however, problems to hold a point against dhs. ThEy can put so much damage pressure on point that it’s really difficult to defend it 1v1
Now they want to get rid of Celestial amulet.
However doesnt that leave us crippled if they dont change something about the Ele?
Depends on the rest of classes, but it shouldn’t. Ele has one of the highest damage potentials in the game. Sure, you won’t be durable, but you still can spec hybrid damage if you want to take advantage of direct damage and burns. You just won’t be able to deal considerable damage while tanking like a pro.
i think the changes they will make to match making will make things more fun.
Right now, you have to climb divisions facing the best the game can throw at you (supposedly, on your skill level, but it’s not true, as the game gives you kittenty teams when you are on a winning streak)
With the new system, the game will reward you with extra points for the winning streaks, and will not try to kitten you for actually beating people you find along the way. That should be a big improvement.
As for solutions here is what I think would work best:
-Buff overall damage so tankier amulets are more viable
But this would be like having celestial amulet again. The problem with eles is they can spec tanky and still deal damage because all of the buffs they have access to. They also have access to direct damage and burn at the same time, which made celestial amulet the best choice.
I think the new meta goes for more defined roles. You want a supportive, bunker ele? spec tanky. You want a damage dealer? spec marauder or carrion.
RIght now things have gotten ridiculous. In one of my last matches i held a point against a dagger ele (i ran a staff cele) and we traded blows for 3 minutes without our health dropping below 80%.
Ginosaji vs Ginosaji.
Surprisingly, he didn’t go to do something more productive, but got help from a revenenant, and things started looking hairy for me, until i also got help from a necro and we killed them both.
lol i think people got too used to gw2’s gear mechanics that they take it for granted
my opinion: no normal mmo, as shiny and new as it’ll be, can be a threat to gw2 in the LONG term. Why? Gear. It’s as simple as that. You farmed to get your shiny endgame gear? No worries! Wait 1/2 months and we’ll release a new set that will rend the old one useless, so you could farm all over again! Fun, right???
one time it’s okay. 2 well, one can live with it. But after a couple of times it’ll just start feeling pathetic. This is why i left TERA, when i realized i have to chase newer and harder to get gear in order to be viable. This is why such games cannot be a long-term threat to gw2.
i thought the no need to farm for the latest gear policy was great before launch but then, most people I know are farming all the time and i, even though i hate farming, have farmed my share too (way more than in the ‘grindy’ WOW, though not as much as 99% of the people i know).
So, in the end, farmers are gonna farm, you might as well give them a valid reason for it.
…all Hundred Blades attacks hit? Seriously? Learn to dodge…
You cannot dodge for everything, all the time, while “endurance” been drained…
You mean that, if ur out of dodge (And this happen from time to time, while fighting in group PvP), you should accept beeing hit by that much, in such a short time window???
You cant be serious!? This needs a nerf!!!
Explain to me why this is balanced???
uh? you can walk away from hundred blades. Nobody eats so many hits unless they are immobilized and out of defenses.
Agreed. The foefire lord has definitely been powercreeped way too hard.
since when? i used to solo him when opening the match with my power necro more than a year ago.
i like it this way. Means an intrepid player can turn the table all alone.
i don’t know why people think dhs are the end all be all.
Necro minions set off the traps, making them completely useless (well, the healing trap still heals)
Ranger pets ditto. Also, the ranger outranges the guardian and does more damage from range.
Any other class can dodge the traps.
Elementalists can share magnetic aura.
I am not saying dhs are trash. but they are not so great against good players.
Oh, and also, dh is my third most played class in pvp, and i win almost all duels against other dhs which , considering i am by no means an extraordinary player, means the people playing dh are usually pretty terrible.
50% winrate standard is inevitable since you guys are sharing decent meta builds all together through metabuild.com, and this game is Build Wars 2.
THIS IS TRUTH.
The build alone does nothing. You still have to rely on your team. Who cares if you build rules, you get paired with 3 thieves and its gg before the match starts.
I just won a match, barely, that’s a perfect example. We were dominating hard on foefire. Suddenly, 3 @ssholes went for the enemy lord (when we were winning 400 to 200) and died, the enemy capped all 3 points and went for our lord, i had to stay back to defend the lord and no matter how hard i called it, the @ssholes wouldn’t cap a single point, just fighting uselessly at close against 2 bunkers instead of going to the unguarded point.
So i couldn’t go help in a point because i knew they were coming for the lord, and they wouldn’t cap anything even though i was pinning far (unguarded) like crazy.
We won 500 to 420 with 3 enemies hitting on our lord. Pure luck really. What good was my build in all this?
No. An in-game DPS meter will only serve to stoke the ego’s of those who live by such things, and do nothing to promote cooperation, teamwork, or build diversity.
Cooperation, teamwork, and build diversity, can only come as a result of people knowing what each one is doing and how well it works.
You have no idea how well the meta builds work in the hands of average players, but still people are told to use the meta builds because ‘they are better’.
No, i don’t think damage meters are there only to feed the ego of tryhards. What i am really realising, is that lazy players don’t want damage meters because then the rest will see that they only want to be carried instead of actually using teamwork and cooperation for the good of the whole team.
to the OP: I know I am never going to get the legendary pvp backpiece, but i don’t think you should either, if you are a casual pvper playing casually.
The legendary backpack is the top reward pvp has to offer. It would be a bad joke if casual pvpers could get it.
She is Y the Ascalonian, goddess of fire (or so she claims).
She will free Ascalon from the charr plague one day.
Her clothing is magic proof (so it doesn’t burn when she casts all her fire spells). Really expensive fabrics, that’s why it only (and barely) covers the most private parts.
Her body is also marked to protect herself from her own magic.
Bow to Y, the fire goddess.
(edited by Aenesthesia.1697)
people are really using gs for pvp?
Switching my main from necro to engi. Sorry everyone, I’ve let you down. This may come as a shock to some, but hey, we’ve had a good run. No regrets here. I hope that you can find happiness in the days to come, as I will. Yeah dont worry about me, I’ll be fine. More than fine, actually. You know me. Why switch to engi, you ask? Pls. Cuz engi. Yep, well, this is it. I’ll check in every once and a while. Dont bother, you say? Hah, non sense. I have to let you know how well I’m doing more than care about you, silly. Yeah, anyways, uh, later.
I met a really nice guy who was as close to a pro pver in this game as one can find.
He had a guild of people who were as close to a pro guild one can find in this game.
He said they had a webpage with the best builds for all professions except necro cause it sucks, and engies because kitten that kitten.
Have fun.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, i tried it, and i made my pc go bonkers, heating like it was summer and 42 celsius, had to go back to the 32 bit version to get any decent performance out of the game.
By the way, i did rejoin the map: i spent 15 minutes clicking join like an idiot, got back in, helped organize the rest of the events, got to the final boss, got him down to 5%, and CRASHED AGAIN. Now i cannot rejoin anymore. I get a stupid network error.
That’s it. One and a half hours wasted with only a big bucket full of kitten as a reward. I hadn’t been so mad in all my years of gaming.
What’s happening with this game? i remember joining anti DC groups in Tequatl and it always worked.
Now, in Magus Falls, with all the frequent crashes (some at the worst possible moments) i have the problem i can almost never rejoin the map if the event is fresh (people still taxiing people in). The map is full and go suck an egg or watch tv.
This is awful. Can’t you do something to give people one minute to relog before somebody can taxi someone else?
i play only when my life allows me to: when the wife and kids are sleeping (usually at 00:00+) That’s why 0:30 is the only possible time for me if i want to do DS, and it never fails. I imagine other people may not have such a good luck, but still a fairly high success chance is to be expected.
the hot meta events are easy enough to be completed by any player.
Total bull.
One can spend hours searching for a DS map with 3 commanders, and even then, finishing it is dicey because people afk / don’t follow advice for the tower phase, etc.
“New DS map, needs commanders” is often present in LFG.
AB is easier, and TD is…
Stop exaggerating, in every post that you made you stretch everything trying to defend the game.
I don’t defend the game in every post, search my history and you will see i am often on the whining side.
And what i said is not bull. I have only seen one DS fail. And it was one where my client crashed mid event, and i appeared in a different map that was obviously less organized, and we didn’t make it in the end.
All i do is check the lfg tool at 0:30 and jump in the first DS that pops up, which so far has given me 100% success chance.
I, on the other hand, have seen many VB that don’t go nowhere, and also a few Tarirs.
Following any kind of a rotation automatically makes you a subpar player. You can’t predict how much quickness or alacrity you are going to get, especially when you need to split.
For a some reason pretty much every build guide focuses on rotations instead of skill priorities. I guess people still live in pre-raid era?
the problem is you cannot access all your skills at once, and you don’t even get to see what is off cd. This forces you to follow a sort of blind pattern, a rotation, just so you gain access to the skill set that is off cooldown at each moment. >This is specially true with the engineer and his ability to change kits, and also with the elementalist (specially if running fresh air).
