LF1M anything except necro

I understand the problems behind the issue are real, but the solution is so incredibly simple that i have no real sympathy.

Make your own groups.

That’s it. Start a group, label it “all welcome” and have fun. You cant change necros, and you cant change other people, that just leaves you. stop trying to join groups that don’t want you, and make your own group.

Your simple solution doesnt work very well. Many people will not join the group if there is a necro in it.

Last week we completed ascalon catacombs p1 while waiting for someone to join our group with one necro in it. We were looking for a full run group, all welcome, and still….

I think it’s unfair that a profession is so uterly oblivious of this game’s mechanics to the point of being unwanted in group content. We necro players deserve some attention from the devs!

If you use plague form, you can use it just after initiating a stomp (it gives you stability) when you really, really need to finish that warrior.

Aenesthesia.1697

No, I’m not taking it too far. There are five players in a party. That means at most only 5 professions can be “meta” at any time.

So who are you looking to replace?

Ele? To do that you would have to find group-wide Fury somewhere and also have superior DPS than a staff ele with glyph of storms which is highly unlikely.

Guardian? Necro isn’’t going to take that role.

Thief? Role is too unique.

Warrior? To replace warrior you’d have to offer better team buffs (25 Might and banners and EA is pretty crazy to try to beat) which isn’t going to happen.

So I’m not seeing where you think Necro has a realistic chance of being meta. The absolute best you can hope for is that their DPS is good enough and rotation fun enough that people won’t feel too bad replacing the second ele with one. Which is exactly how people feel now about engie and ranger.

Sorry, i was talking about the meta all the time, but i don’t even intend the necro to become meta. Just something that doesn’t suck, and that can be close to meta in certain circumstances.

For example, if necros had the big buff to signet of vampirism i’m proposing, they could very well fill in for the second elementalist. People at least wouldn’t kick us out hoping for anything else.

Could also replace thieves when invisibility is not mandatory (and it actually never is, but comes really handy).

Alas, I don’t think necros could ever replace a ps warrior, or the main elementalist, and of course the guardian is untouchable for some content. But if we had better damage and a hughe party boost, we could be something close enough to meta that people wouldn’t mind having a necro in the party. And i don’t think a blast finisher and a fun rotation is going to cut it…. (other people don’t care what your rotation is, they just care what you can do for the run..)

well, i think you are taking it too far. Necros don’t need to have better team buffs than a warrior. Only one warrior is needed for team buffs.

As for AOE damage, it can only take you so far (the ridiculous thing about the elementalist, is that the aoe damage is also best against single targets).

To be part of the meta or, at least to NOT be an outcast, all we need is to provide more dps than a third ele would (you will have two eles in the parties until frost bow is nerfed). Since that seems very unlikely, we need to be able to increase oter people’s damage in a way only necros can, so we don’t overwrite anyone’s buffs or we are not despised because profession A, B, C and D do it better than us.

I would be a huge fan of a lifesteal on crit aura like EA/SPotter but as we can see from the Spotter example that in and of itself wouldn’t be enough to get into the conversation.

Spotter works all the time. What i propose is to turn signet of vampirism into a big burst boosting skill. Make it that, for short fights, a party with a necro ends the fight 30% faster (for example). The overall party boost damage would stil be below 7%, but for when damage spikes are needed, necros would fit perfectly into the meta.

The key is comparable DPS, a fun rotation and a blast finisher for QoL. If you got the lifesteal aura but had bad dps, 111111 rotation and no blast finishers people still wouldn’t care, so I look at the three things I cited as sorta the minimum needed to get on par.

Hey, i cannot go against a fun rotation, and a low cd blast finisher (preferably as a weapon skill) would do as great service. However, comparable dps would still mean and a fun rotation will still have us being unwanted in dungeons. And even a low cd blast wouldn’t mean that much. We need those things as well, but we would not be candidates for the meta with just those changes.

Is there a way to really prevent others to think that necros are just useless? I’ve been playing in a lots of dungeon these days and about 80% of the run if there’s something went wrong all the blame will be on necros ;(. Which will then lead to unreasonable kicking us necros from the party. Because of that i can’t even get my desired token weapon after days of tries to do the dungeon. Is it a wrong choice to be a necromancer ?
I just want to make sure, because i will be making myself some ascended armor and weapons which will be a heavy investment for me, i need to convince my self that is worth it to do so. I don’t want to end up a full ascended and regret.

I hope fellow necros can share their experience with me that can prevent yourself being kicked unreasonably, thanks.

well, i’ve never been kicked for being a necro. People will tolerate you if you don’t screw up too much.

But playing pve necro is frustrating. It’s like playing basketball with Jordan, James, Bird and Chamberlain in the same team. At first it might seem cool, but you are not gonna see the ball during all the match. I’m sorry for my necro but i want to be Jordan, not the guy who brings the water, except he forgets the water and doesnt bring anything…

On top of that, most people have played necros by now and they’ve all figured out how useful we are…. when not in dungeons….

yesterday, we had a necro in the party and were looking for 2 more people for Ascalon Catacombs. We completed the first path being just 3, because nobody would join the party with a Necro.

Still, i put all my agony resistance on the trinkets, a focus, a GS and a dagger. This way, i can go to lvl 50 fractal with either my elementalist, my guardian (has one ascended chest piece, lucky drop), or my necro when the reaper comes out.

Good luck bro!

Suggestion: Signet of Vampirism

Aenesthesia.1697

First of all I dont understand why you bring up spotter and IB. These arent comparable. They arent healing skills and healing skills arent about damage.

Back to topic I love signet of vampirism. If I run with a descent group I will receive enough healing from them to stay alive. If I happen to get low health I can use it without losing much dps through cast time since it gives up to a total of 10k extra damage on target.

I bring up two skills and one trait, designed to boost party damage, available exclusively to 1 profession in game, and compare them with the only necro skill that actually boosts party damage as no other profession can. Who cares if it’s a heal? we are necros, we can kill you while we heal. Except, we can’t because the damage is miserable.

Make it deal considerable more damage, would mean necros can provide strong offensive support in a way no other profession can. A reason, then, to bring necros to dungeons, unlike the current situation, where the only reason to bring necros to dungeons is to make fun of them.

And those people are boosting party member’s damage by 5% with their healing skill? No. It is a healing skill that deals up to 10k, the active is absolutely fine.

No, they do it with another utility, while still having access to an on-demand healing skill, instead of sacrificing their healing for a miserable dps increase.

Aenesthesia.1697

Signet of Vampirism’s active is fine, it is a possible 10k additional damage to a single target.

Assuming 9k dps per party member, that would be a boost of 3,5% for 6 seconds. Assuming also that the party manages to use the 25 marks.

Taking into account the cd of the skill, you have an average damage boost of 0,75% when traited.

How can you say that is fine. Most professions improve the party damage in more than 5% without breaking a sweat.

You either play as a dreamer

in Necromancer

Aenesthesia.1697

Complaining about people not taking you to dungeons? Obviously you cant play necro or its the kinds of people you want to play with.

I don’t care about other people. The moment i saw what other professions can do, my jaw dropped and the forest opened, allowing me to see the tree that said: ‘necros suck in pve’.

Cast aside the delusions of support, we are not built for that, we never will be. Our support is wrecking the enemy, thrusting our daggers, our greatswords into their chests, clawing their eyes out with our axe. Weakening their effectiveness to fight with weakness, chills and blinds. That is our support.

That sounds nice, only other professions do it better and deal more damage in the process. If we are a powerhouse, we are a underwhelming one.

Our job is to be a foce of reckoning, applying chill, weakness and vulnerability to all enemies in our wake. Let the guardians, elementalists and warriors protect everyone, let us focus our hate on the enemy.

Again, an elementalist can chill, apply 25 stacks of vulnerability with just one cast, and then proceed to obliterate the poor boss. The fact that he can also provide might and fury like there’s no tomorrow, and turn another party member into a boss-wrecking machine (with the frost bow) in the process, just goes to illustrate how miserable necros are by comparison.

Now, you can argue you have fun playin the necro. Well, i have a challenge for you: try playing the volcaninc fractal without might, reflects and blocks of any kind. Also with no frost bow. And tell me you wouldn’t have had a more enjoyable time if you or any other party member were playing a guardian instead.

Aenesthesia.1697

Looking at this skill leaves me scratching my head, puzzled. What were they expecting to accomplish?

Look at the frost bow, for example: a skill that summons a weapon that provides the best stun in game, and the best aoe, which in turn is also the best single target attack.

Or spotter, the ranger trait: increases precision of nearby allies in 150.

Now, let’s look at the signed of vampirism: when active, it provides 25 stacks (why?) of a debuf that does damage when players hit the target, with a cd of 1s (why???) and heals players. Weird, awkward, and ultimately, ineffective.

The general consensus, and the reason necros are not welcome in dungeon runs, is the lack of offensive support. This skill could, so easily, be that offensive support necros need, and instead it’s just a weird sustain skill.

How about this:

When active, and for 7 seconds, all party members that hit the target deal a 30% additional damage. x% of that extra damage heals them.

Yes, that’s a 30% damage boost for the whole party- When timed correctly (before people use the bow’s #4 skill) it is a great burst support for the party, one only necros can provide. As such, Necros would suddenly be a very welcome addition to dungeon runs.

We don’t need much else, really. We have put up with the mediocre damage, lack of decent blast finishers, lack of any type of offensive support… how about giving us this little candy? It would only be as OP as the rest of the party is (if their damage is mediocre, then 30% of that is also mediocre) and anyway, the numbers can be easily adjusted to balance it.

But, in general, it should provide an average dps boost of no less than 5% for long fights, otherwise, it would be still too little.

The trade off would be the need to use signet of vampirism instead of a reliable, on- demand heal. I think it’s a fair trade off and more than what any other profession has to give up in order to become a desireable addition to a party.

Think about it, Anet!

What group buffs does a meta party need? You don’t need Might, Fury, or Vuln. If you mean some unique buff like Spotter you can ask Ranger how well that works out for them being part of the meta.

Necro just needs a low cool down blast finisher, a fun rotation, and comparable dps to every other profession.

Might = PS War
Fury = Ele
Vuln = group as a whole, Lightning Storm/DH guard/Engi/really lots of options
Projectile = Guard/Mes and other little things from the group

So yeah, exactly.

It’d be nice for their overall party worth, but in the meta you already have the main things covered.

How about a party damage boost?

Like, make signet of vampirism actually be good for damage?

When they implemented signet of vampirism, it seems they didnt want to make it too powerful, so now it’s almost useless for damage and provides mediocre sustain.

They could make it simpler and more effective: when active, all party members drain life for 30% of the damage they deal, for 8 seconds. Only 10% (for example) of that life heals them.

There, you have a nice burst skill, that only necros can provide, wihout giving necros the offensive buffs that don’t go well with the profession. The equivalent to rangers spotter or frost spirits.

If only signet of vampirism was buffed tenfold, we would have the offensive support we need to be viable in pve

This exactly. When that first came out I was very excited that maybe the lifesteal build would be viable, too bad the signet’s numbers fell flat on it’s face.

I really hope to see a boost in lifesteal and shouts that spread lifesteal out will happen. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Lifesteal builds could be interesting in pvp. In pve, where damage and active defense are kings, a life steal build would either be a waste of dps (hence, unwanted) or the most op thing, if you are able to deal top damage and heal yourself on top of that.

I do just that in 40+ fractals with my Necro and am able to sustain myself without party support.

oh, i used to take my necro to fractals. Stopped. First, you don’t deal top damage, just reasonable damage if people don’t melee (if they do it like pros and melee the bosses, then necro falls way back in the dps meter).

Just to give you an idea of how bad the dps of the necro is, i took my elementalist for a fractal 50 run. It was my first time with the ele in fractals, and my first time using the dagger/focus build, since i usually run staff or scepter/dagger for speed clears.

The dps i could dish was unthinkable with the necro. And the worst part is, I didn’t even have to stay at melee range all the time.

Second, ok, you can sustain yourself, boo ha! So what? if everybody ends up dead then it’s no use. If everybody doesn’t die then you didn’t do anything special. That’s why necros are considered trash in pve. The only useful things i found for fractals are the blinds, and the reasonably high ranged damage with the hybrid build, for when people don’t feel like bursting down bosses at melee range.

If that’s what he’s trying to say, he failed. What I, and everybody else, got, is that 3 boss-melting people in a party can carry anything with them. Also, if the guys being carried bring some support that doesn’t scale with gear (like blinds, invis, blocks) they may even prove useful even if they are not lvl 80 zerkers.

I suppose it’s because it would be op. But it doesn’t have to. Just make it so only 10% of the health siphoned actually heals you, and there you are: a powerful group damage boost that also sustains a bit while burning the enemy, and necros would be a thing in pve.

OP

First, two things:

- i regularly run fractals, and speed clear dungeons. We never glitch anything. Just once in fractals and for laughs (the mai trim glitch)
- using reflects on a boss is not an exploit. If you think it is, then so dodging, healingm cand even attacking would be exploits. Dont troll if you are serious about your post.

Then, regarding the rest of your post, you seem to fail to understand what the meta is. Its just what the community thinks is better. You will always have a meta.

As for professions not being accepted because they are not part of the meta, it’s not actually like that. The professions that are not welcome in parties, namely necromancer, are rejected not for not being the best, but for being terrible. You would also have that in wow if the priest received a nerf and couldnt heal, or the warrior couldnt take damage, or the warlock couldnt dish out decent damage. But wow is always sort of balanced, while necromancers are trash.

Do Warriors feel different vs Guardians?

in Warrior

Posted by: Aenesthesia.1697

Aenesthesia.1697

I have taken a guardian from fractal 25 to fractal 50. And i had a warrior sitting there doing nothing.

Yesterday i was in a pug and, as we already had another guardian, and they only wanted one, i proposed the change. So i sent all my trinkets and weapons to the warrior, bought some scholar runes (because the strentgh runes are too expensive) and gave it a try.

I had only specced the warrior, for phalanx strength. Didn’t know anything about rotations. Just thought i had to camp gs and switch to axe/mace if we needed more vulnerability on the boss.

Guardian: (zerker, high level fractals, using gs/s-f, swapping sword with scepter for some fights, and even bringing hammer depending on the group)
You are one of the squishiest proffesions out there. You only have your well timed aegis, blinds, and dodges to keep you from dying. Meleeing if the rest of the group will not do it is suicide unless you can see every tell of the enemy (with some burning enemies it’s not always possible for me to detect the tells).

Warrior: more relaxed. 24k of hp vs 14k with the zerker guardian and great regen on top of that. Tons of offensive support for the team. Not meleeing with the warrior is dumb, as it’s pretty much unkillable. Camping gs means might for everybody. However, you don’t have so much vigor, so you have to use your dodges carefully. You cannot get aegis on command, so you need your dodges for the big hits. If you stay with phalanx strength, there’s no need to switch traits for every battle like i was doing with the guardian. As i said: more relaxed. Oh, and if you are the one running phalanx, you don’t have to worry about having 3 warriors on the party and no might, like it happens every time i go with the guardian.

That’s my limited view, after one fractal run, but doing the same content with the 2 professions and almost exactly the same gear.

Necromancer Change Wish List

in Necromancer

Posted by: Aenesthesia.1697

Aenesthesia.1697

ok, I’ll play. This would make necros not only useable, but also desirable in the current meta (specially for speed clears)

What: Signet of Vampirism

Why: current meta revolves around bursting enemies down as fast as possible. Some classes, like elementalist, can output insane burst and also help the party increase the burst via conjured weapons. Necro is left out of efficient dungeon runs because it doesn’t do anything to add to the party damage. We definitely could use some damage support.

How: make it so, when active, allied players sihpon life for 30% of their damage. Extend the duration to 9 seconds.

It might sound insane, but it accounts for a party wide 10% damage increase (when traited) in long fights, in exchange for our healing skill, which will most likely be on cd when needed. Seeing as other classes can provide a permanent 7% by using just one utility, not even having to hit the enemy, i think this wouldn’t be unbalanced (and, if it is, then all the classes in the meta are unbalanced).

The big damage boost for 9 seconds would make necros almost mandatory for speed clears, and very desirable for pve content in general. We would have to learn to cope without the condi cleansing and reliable heal of consume conditions, though.

Some criticism can be made as this boosts the current pve meta, and it would be valid of course. But you have two options: change the whole game play so that the current meta is no longer viable (so necros no longer get left out), or make the necros competitive under the current meta by providing unique offensive buffs to the party.

This massive buff to signet of vampirism would provide necros with good party support, while keeping with the philosophy of the class (no boons, just nasty stuff)

For pvp purposes i don’t think it would make a big difference. Most bunkers have blocks and invulnerability, being able to deny the effect of this skill (if not directly dodge it) during a big portion of those 9 seconds. Squishies would also die if focused by an entire team, with or without the sihpon and most of them can disengage anyway. It would entirely wreck other necros, though.

Fractals only give 2 rings?

Rng is rng, but we don’t know if it’s fair rng, or unfair.

For example, the probability to get berserker rings could be 0,0001%, while the probability to get again that crappy ring with condition and vitality might be 25%. It would still be rng, only balanced to avoid giving the players what they want (unless they pay for it, which seems to be anet’s policy).

For all we know, there could also be some trolling written into the ring roll algorithm: on mondays, the probability of getting kitten of type A might be higher, on tuesdays, the probability of getting kitten of type B may be higher, and so on. That’s how you expain the repeated drops in the same group.

People think that, it being rng, the probability of getting the 26 rings must be the same, when it can be anything the devs decided it to be.

i agree with you two, but i also think it’s fair to warn the OP: you may even have fun with the necro, if you don’t mind being carried by your team all the time.

How about a very strong buff to signet of vampirism, so the whole party damage is increased (in, let’s say, 30%) when the signet active is used?

it would be the offensive support we need, without departing from the profession’s mechanics and phylosophy.

Also, the fact no other class can do this, means someone else is not doing it already, better than necros.

I dunno why you are trying to explain to me things I already know. This is also told in the link I posted.

If he doesn’t want to be meta player, then he can play whatever he wants.

because you seem to think that people who don’t care about optimal performance will have no trouble playing with a trash profession.

in my time, i didn’t even think to re roll because necros weren’t part of the meta, but every dungeon run i did with meta players made me feel useless.

Your best sentence would be better put: ‘if he doesnt want to be a meta player and he doesn’t mind being useless and doing mediocre to miserable damage, then he can play a necromancer’

the thing is, the changes you propose are fairly moderate and would help a bit, but other classes already do what you propose even better, while at the same time dealing more damage. This saddly illustrates just how bad necros are in pve.

as for making the damage comparable to the 2 most squishy professions, i don’t know if that would be fair.

it’s not just a matter of meta. If you play a dps, you want to deal damage.

So you fully spec your necro and get the fanciest runes and sigils, and walk into this dungeon ready to wreck things.

And then an elementalist shows up, does a might stacking rotation boosting the whole party’s damage like crazy, casts an electric storm on the boss giving him 25 stacks of vulnerability, drops an icebow which a thief picks up, freezes the boss and while you stab the boss with your auto (dealing decent damage), thief and ele OBLITERATE the boss using just one skill.

Like i said, it’s not about being in the meta or not. It’s about being able to do your thing without looking ridiculous. I think we can all tolerate not being the best, but being so far away from the best is really depressing.

Mounts [merged]

i frankly don’t understand the ‘less is more’ crowd.

I understand anet trying to sell the game for what it doesn’t offer. It IS their job to sell the game, so they try to convert the game’s weaknesses into strengths.

So, we don’t have to skip boring quest logs (they actually didn’t even try to write quests worth reading )

And we don’t have mounts that, uh (cannot think of anything negative if done right)… ah! we don’t have mounts like WoW does (i never had a problem with mounts in wow, btw).

See what they do? That’s clever, that’s why anet’s paying these people.

Only… it’s really not that clever, they just make a poor excuse because they don’t have anything else to say. Which leaves me scratching my head in awe, seeing how people willingly eat the bs companies throw at them.

(and, before i am attacked by this ‘less is more’ gang, i hereby state that i don’t really care we don’t have mounts, as they add nothing to the gameplay (only some ‘coolness’ factor))

Atm necro is not meta in pve. Its dps is too low

Reasons why necros aren’t welcome in pve:

- no offensive support for the party
- no deffensive support worth talking about
- mediocre dps (probably not the worst)

To add insult to injury:

- guardians are capable of high defensive support (exclusive of the proffesion) while dealing more damage.
- warriors: exclusive offensive and defensive support while dealing more damage
- elementalists: exclusive offensive support while dealing more damage
- thieves: some useful defensive traits (invis) while dealing more damage
- engineers: offensive and some defensive support, deals more damage
- rangers: exclusive offensive support, similar damage
- mesmers: useful mechanics to skip parts of dungeons, and defensive support in the form of reflects. Deals comparable damage

So any proffesion brings more utility than the necro, and on top of that almost any proffesion deals more damage. So much for a balanced game, uh?

i don’t know what’s happening. My win ratio is still above 50%, but a couple of weeks ago i seem to be put in really bad teams facing celestial immortals or just people that rotate properly even though they are not so good.

as a result, i do manage to kill people that get kitteny and face me 1 on 1 (i run a power necro, which is really good in 1 on 1), and score points (i am always the top scorer, by far, on my team), but I lose every fight because as a whole we cannot beat the other guys.

my win ratio since the new leaderboard came out has gone down from 60% to 44%. I am about to give up. I mean, i can try my best on an even match, but not on the garbage matches i’ve been facing lately. It’s like every match is going to be 10 minutes of either humilliation (when we encounter the celestials that rotate properly) or frustration (when the other team is not so good but still much better than mine).

Should i just play really bad (sometimes i don’t even do that good, so i guess i should try harder to be the worst) so i get downranked and start facing people with my skill or stop facing OP premades?

Could You Play ONE Class Only?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Aenesthesia.1697

Hey everyone, I’ve got a question to pose to the community, for the following reason. I have 3 level 80 toons that I play; necro (1st created), warrior (2nd), and ranger (3rd). I wanted one of each armor weight, basically, so I could get different looks. But, I find myself ignoring 2 of my toons for long stretches at a time. I’m currently on necro, playing in SW a lot. So I wonder if I should just focus on one class… and ONLY one class, and not play the others.

That makes me wonder if there are other players out there that have done that, currently do that, or are also thinking about it. If so, what class did you choose, and why?

Personally, I like all 3 but find that they all have different areas where they shine. I love my necro in WvW/SW, warrior is always wanted in dungeons and other boss events for DPS, and ranger is valued in many places now. If I go ahead and focus on one, I’ll have a hard time choosing which one that will be! But focusing might be best to really get to know the class, and also so that if I have some gold to spend I’m not trying to decide who gets what

I have a necro i use for spvp and guild missions (because of 100% map completion)
An elementalist that does speed runs
A guardian for high level fractals
A ranger for wvwvw
An engineer for roleplaying
A warrior and a mesmer that just look cool but i dont really use.

I think i would keep the ele, out of all those. It is fun a so versatyle.

Make necro's Meta.. Please?

in Necromancer

Posted by: Aenesthesia.1697

Aenesthesia.1697

I would rather the current meta builds were nerfed. I was insta-kicked from AC as soon as I joined and they saw Necro. I say dungeon bosses should strip or corrupt boons, some mobs should see through stealth, and other mobs should counter mobility skills.

you cannot have bosses corrupting boons. You want players to play as a team, sharing buffs and whatnot. if bosses suddenly start corrupting those boons, then people would just stop using buffs.

better, make the necro competitive in the current pve state. Necros should be kings of weakness, and should apply an exclusive condition that amplified the damage taken by the boss (since it doesn’t make sense lore wise for the necro to grant boons to his comrades).

Fractals, you're doing it wrong.

I agree that the fractals rewards are kitten for the effort. but i don’t want to turn them into a farm either.

Making fractal skins available for relics would seriously devaluate the things (in terms of rarity). Maybe creating another currency, that can be obtained only after completing fractal 50, and a certain lower level fractal on a weekly basis (to encourage people running lvl 50 to do a lower level from now and then, helping then newer players).

oh, and i agree that pristine fractal relics for a player running fractals are just pointless. What am i supposed to do with the ascended rings if i am floating on infused (albeit with useless stats) rings anyway?

The downed state - Hurting the game?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Aenesthesia.1697

But i didnt have to go that far: i’ve run cof p1 and 2 countless times and i still die with my ele if the wind blows in the wrong direction. yesterday, without going too far, in the end boss of p2, i was feared and ran through 2 areas, getting downed in the second. Nothing i could do. Why? because i was running with a berserker build.

Right, but you should’ve been defeated, not downed. Perhaps in this circumstance it didn’t matter either way, but in another scenario, perhaps once again you went down, because you were running a glassy spec and didn’t time your dodge etc correctly, but this time you are close to your team, and they just come over and res you and you’re back in the game, no harm done. <— This is a big issue, in my eyes at least.

But if i runthe risk of dying due to an unavoidable attack that puts me in an unavoidable situation, then of course the zerker gear is dead. So, for you it would be better if the game moved from active play to passive play and damage mitigation through stats?

I cannot aggree with that.

The downed state - Hurting the game?

The problem is not having a downed estate.

The problem is enemies ignoring it.

All normal-size mobile enemies should have finishing moves that you need to stop to keep your allies from being defeated.

And all normal-size mobile enemies should have chances to get downed instead directly dying. Their chance to get downed instead defeated and their starting defeated health pools would depend on enemy rank:

  • Normal enemies: 1%, 40% pool.
  • Veterans: 10%, 50% pool.
  • Elites: 25%. 60% pool.
  • Champions: 50% 70% pool.
  • Legendaries: 100%. 80% health pool.

Enemies without downed attack animations would just look stunned and slowly recover health even when hit.

This would include the current toxic alliance toxic courtiers, who would stop going defeated 100% of the time, and instead change to the chance method.

Now, you go berserker against some enemies, stack as usual, someone goes down, the enemies use finishers faster than you can heal your ally because you try to revive your ally without interrupting the enemies, the ally gets finished.

enemies don’t need finishing moves.

if they focus a downed player, they kill him 90% of the time (strong enemies, of course)
