Don’t those lift you in the air too? Pretty sure I didn’t miss any greens either way as everyone else was still stacking next to me and making no effort to move even during the spike damage. Actually the pattern where he spawns ~6 circles of equal size and immediately charges up felt reasonably slow most of the time.

There is a bug in his second phase (75% -> 50% HP) where his green circle attack is completely unavoidable, could that be what’s damaging you? His explosion during the green circle attack will only lift you into the air if you don’t have stability.

The only way to avoid this bug is to push him quickly to phase 3 with good DPS.

Haven’t heard of or experienced this bug at all. Are you sure you didn’t just accidentally step on a 2+ man field alone?

yes and now, it’s a bit confusing. but all agony is refered to as spectral, no matter the source, that includes the red circle some people have during the boss. It gets confusing because every source of agony has a unique name, and then the agony blast during the green fields has a technical name spectral agony to make it even more confusing.
But all sources of agony outside fractals are referred to as spectral agony because thats what the npcs in gw1 called the agony coming from all sources mursaat.

Flashpoint is a massive cross-over storyline involving most major DC characters and affecting the plot of all their individual comics at the time (it started in 2011). Maybe it looks like a big deal when you know it’s happening. Then you start following the news about it, and then it looks big. If you know an expansion of WoW is coming, you start looking for news and going to forums and you talk with other people who like WoW. But really, it’s still a pretty confined world. The news doesn’t leak into the mainstream media, so if you’re not already in the circle, the chances of being sucked in are very small.

Do the “3 swipes” actually hit simultaneously? My issue is not the total rate of incoming damage but getting spiked in an instant like a VG green or Sabby timebomb popped.

I have consistently taken either 4k or 8k. I don’t care about the number itself but the fact a single circle sometimes deals double damage for no apparent reason. Maybe I should double-check with the eles since Hardy Conduit+Frost Aura could be responsible for ~50% dmg reduction.

To my knowledge, the swipe attack can not be blocked, or invouned though, only dodging will work. I’ve tried to distort through it as well and had similar results, the special action key works in evading it though.

Blocking actually seemed to work at least sometimes, while Blur (which should be an evade) sometimes didn’t. Then again I know Tequatl waves can be dodge-rolled but not evaded via Blur…

As for this part, yeah, I’ve had people complaining about the same thing. Try playing on best performance I guess? One advice I can give is that the teleports will appear on Cairn’s 1st swing and there will always be three of them. Keep an eye for the orange outline of the teleports, they are the most noticeable thing in my experience. Also the teleports will pop as soon as it makes its 3rd swing, so you have until then to position yourself accordingly.

I already tried looking for the orange outlines but to my dismay often found them obscured even by my own wells -,- Anyway thanks for the help.

I deliberately put up two points because yes, the red circle poison hurts (I assume that’s the “agony” you mean, or is there another one?); but in some cases there were no red poisons on the team or all 3 were clearly in view and far away from me, yet I still took a >10k spike in melee range.

I just thought of something else. After the swipe attack, Cairn spawns several green fields instantly, after which he lets out a burst of Spectral Agony. This one requires immediate reaction, rather than his dance dance revolution where you have plenty of time. Could be that you’re so focused on attacking the boss that you missed these greens?

Not everyone likes FPS games. Like me. Couldn’t care less about that or Battlefield or whatever. Flashpoint however is currently relevant as it’s included in the story arc for The Flash’s 3rd season.

Also, during Dance Dance Revolution wait for the boss to get back to the center before getting on a green field, otherwise you risk getting thrown off again.

I can offer you RTI which is a really good starting guild with many runs along the week. You have to sign up by forum, then you can call out events on the forum calendar, or just in the guild chat. Pro: a lot of people, a lot of runs, a low entrance requirement: have oxygen in your brains and the willingness to put that oxygen to use.
Con: low requirement means many beginners, so some runs have a kill on the first go, some runs may take a few tries, so patience is a must-have. There will be organized kill runs as well, and if you’re lucky you can get a fixed group

that’s called positive reinforcement, people who agree with you impact you much more than people who disagree with you. it’s quite a common thing. They have 3 teams working on 6 month schedules. If they’re aiming for a specific date, episode 6 could launch as early as June 6 on the original schedule. After all, there is no episode 7, so it doesn’t matter that team 2 was delayed. However, an expansion reveal in June likely isn’t a smart idea, as it’d be competing with ESO’s expansion, which advertisers will likely be focused on. It’d be better if they announced it with episode 5, otherwise episode 6 should be around mid-July to mid-August.

Or they just do episode 6 and announce the expac when it’s ready to be announced. Not everything needs to come with something else. And an anouncement isn’t the same as a release. They can spoon feed trailers and teasers all the way from june to november if they wanted to (which will propably make for some angry posts on the forums).

Except Taimi’s dialogue is:

So he comes to us. We don’t intercept him.

If the portal to Ember Bay is his goal, then yes, he intentionally comes down to us without us intercepting him. The interception applies if he moves past Rata Novus because it’s on the way.

And it doesn’t really matter whether he’s facing the portal or away, because if he’s facing it, it’s his target, and if he’s not facing it, it could be because we interupted him

Well, since we have proof that Lazarus visits Rata Novus in the trailer itself (not only with visuals but also Taimi’s dialogue too), we know that he does go to Rata Novus.

Also Aurene is in Tarir and NOT Rata Novus, so Lazarus trying to kill Aurene by visiting Rata Novus doesn’t make sense (especially when he had the amazing opportunity to do so at the end of episode 2 and enough power to wipe Tarir off the map). Lazarus visibly aids us in defending Aurene so I don’t understand this stance you’re taking.

EDIT: just watched WP’s vidya, and he pointed out something interesting. Lazarus is moving towards the same portal we used to go to the ember bay. So that would support my theory. He is going to the Maw of Abaddon, and the only reason he’s stopping in Rata Novus, is because there’s a portal there that lets him get there FASTER. Do note that if Lazarus is either fake or incomplete, he cannot withdraw to the mists and emerge elsewhere, so he needs real world teleportation. He can fly/float, but the Ember Bay is quite a while away

The only sensible argument for him not to go the Maw of Abaddon would be if he went to the bloodstone in the Fen.

Elementals’ bodies are made only out of raw natural material and are likely soulless, nigh mindless the vast majority of the time.

Titans’ bodies can be made of unnatural/non-landscape and raw natural material and in theory could be made out of refined natural material, and have multiple souls and are very much sapient.

That’s a pretty big difference that goes way beyond just what the bodies happen to be made up of. And even if you managed to shape an elemental like the standard titan form (no evidence you really can, but obviously you could of lesser titan forms), there’s enough differences in mentality that they’re different too.

You can’t tell the difference in mentality until you’ve personally encountered them. And yes, an elemental of flesh or bone would be easily recognizable. But a regular elemental can really take can any random shape, especially if a spell molds it. We just see 1 model ingame because anet can’t possibly be expected to make 5000 models for every creature.

Kyle is the brother of Kasmeer who get her entire generation of Meade’s into the sewer. he was originally only a theoretical character to give Kasmeer a tragic background, but this is a good window to actually use him for the story.

That would a terrible way to bring in a character the vast majority of the playerbase has never really heard of. To build all this up and it to be essentially a nobody, would be a huge anti-climax and let down.
