I assume it’s a bug but it’s highly annoying because yes, if you are listing it, you’re almost always wanting to sell the full amount.
The cultural vendors sell tiers of cultural items. For the weapons, check tier one first. Some vendors have the same set for all (Ebonhawke, Lionguard) except T1 is cheaper than the others.
There are some other karma weapons. Peacemaker (Rata Sum), Warden (the Grove) and the Norn and Charr sets, for which I forget the names, some of these can be bought from the trading post. These are up to 63k karma each and of those, 4 will cost 252k karma. Which will eat up your karma fast so you’ll need to budget it if you want all sets.
Emailing to yourself would be nice but people would use it as a way to have extra inventory by sending items to themselves then not picking them up. So it’s not possible. You’ll have to switch items between chars at your bank.
If there hadn’t been rumors of an expansion there would have been the usual amount of negativity. They think they will be getting what they want. Of course they are feeling forgiving. That’s not hypocrisy.
By the way. Here’s the definition of hypocrisy.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hypocrisy
noun, plural hypocrisies.
1. a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.
2. a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.
3. an act or instance of hypocrisy.
You could say instead, they are feeling expansive. (Pun intended).

Is it just me that’s curious about what happens with the other 2% of the OP’s game time?
Afk in LA of course.
I do NOT want my asura and charr females to dress up according to human standards of a specific culture.
They. Already. Are.
Masculine =/= neutral. Masculine = masculine. Your asura and charr females are dressing according to human standards specifically set on males.
What I mean is that human female armor is designed to accommodate (and sometimes focus on) prominent breasts and wide hips, dresses especially. Putting a large and skimpy froo-froo dress on an asura or a charr — species who do not share these human physical traits — would make no sense whatsoever. And I’m not even mentioning the difference in cultural standards for these races…
^
And that is exactly the point. Human female clothing is made to accentuate human female sexual secondary characteristics. Asura value large ears and broad foreheads as well as the sexy ability to design experiment. Charr probably think fluffy tails, the different teeth between males and females and a sleeker physical build is sexy, as well as the ability to fight.
If you want sexy clothing for your Asura, get something that flatters her ears and for perfume, spritz her with some used engine oil.
Very annoying to have to both select the highest seller and then make it sell for maximum numbers.
Not a fan of this change.
There is a good chance they will announce an expansion this month, The Heart of Thorns.
Something hit me today. I was doing Maguma Vista and Maguma Lumberer. Going to a zone just to click on a vista or to look for trees is boring. I’m not talking run-of-the-mill quest in old MMO boring, I’m talking more boring than Kill Five Rats. More boring than Fedex Quests. More boring than in-game fishing. More boring than watching paint peel.
Sorry, ANet, telling it like I see it.
^
The dailies are dead easy and they are deadly boring.
I’m starting to do less and less. The previous dailies I would try to do 7 or 8. These, I did 3 today then left as fast as possible so I can start having fun. The PvE dailies have always been my “bread and butter” dailies, but now I see the event daily on one map and for the first time ever since starting this game, I don’t want to do them as I know they will be an exercise in frustration. They’re so frustrating/boring I would rather PvP or WvW, and I’m not a PvP/WvW person.
My choices, I can either do something really boring or do something mildly unpleasant or something that manages to combine the 2. Decisions, decisions.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
It’s the character moving around or using skills that the game sees. I’ve gotten the warning in WvW when looking in my bank or crafting for a while. The rules there seem to be more strict than PvE.
If you get the warning you can move your character over and that resets it.
Try this, make it will work

Good luck.
Try reading this thread. They suggest a couple of fixes that might work.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2sgo3j/is_anyone_else_still_having_issues_with_the/
Good luck.
I bet if aliens came to earth, some people would expect the female members to wear dresses and be cute.
Charr and Asuran are alien, non human species and in Tyrian lore, neither value dressing to display their “femininity”.
Imo it was a mistake for ANet to make dresses for either species as it doesn’t fit the lore.
But it still makes no sense for them to wear clothes that adhere to a human definition of “masculinity” either. If someone is to be unisex then it has to be designed that way, this is not an instance of this.
They have their own cultural outfits that don’t show the difference between male and female, at least not with frilly dresses. Both species value other tokens of female/male differences that are outside of the human sex differentiation. The limitations of the game requires them to be able to use all armor besides just their cultural armor but lore wise, putting either in a dress doesn’t fit.
ANet had to make the practical choice of choosing male armor for both to fit best how these 2 different (from humans) perceive the sexes and what they wear that reflects that. Obviously in a perfect world they would not be wearing human armor at all but ANet had to fit it within the limitations of the game.

This is kind of an interesting article for those who want to read it. It’s about gender inequality in armor more than this Charr/Asuran issue, though it touches on it. http://massively.joystiq.com/2014/09/30/flameseeker-chronicles-guild-wars-2s-gender-divide/

im jewish and this thread offends me
Is this a reference to Godwin’s law?
A friend of mine shared this with me, Lord Faren.
I hate to ask but what exactly is he doing? Back turned to the camera, facing a nearby rock, both hands before him……
When you finished the final mission in in Guild Wars 1, the credits rolled on the screen while you are still playing. OP would have had a fit about that too I bet.
So inconsistent…
That’s part of my complaint. The other is: “So how exactly does doing this relate to the Trait Mastery getting unlocked?”
At least with Elite Skills your target would use it. (This was a considerable problem with some of them.) After they changed the capture system, it was not too bad but the initial one was even more BS than Traits are now.
How?
You had to have the Signet of Capture ready, and you needed to hit it while targeting the user, while they were using it. For some of the Elites I just can’t see how that worked at all.
I’m not sure when you stopped playing GW1… But all you had to do was have the Signet of Capture, kill the boss and use the signet on their corpse. A menu would pop up that would allow you to select the skill you want to take, which would usually be an elite skill. It’s way easier to capture skills in GW1 than it is to obtain traits in GW2.
Originally Signets of Capture worked like Tobias explained, prior to the June 8th, 2005 update, this skill had to be activated at the same time the targeted boss activated the desired skill. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Game_updates/20050608
that’s almost 10 years ago, it’s time you keep up with the times.
Galphar was explaining something that Tobias posted. It’s time you kept up with the thread.
it still happened 10 years ago, it’s time you get the point.
No the point is that before the April Trait patch people were asking for something like the Signet of Capture for Elite Skills in GW. What we got was the Trait revamp. Now IF they had gone the capture signet route then, IMHO, we wouldn’t have this 70+ page thread complaining about the changes to how we get traits.
That might have been interesting. A boss with the trait you need that’s is strong enough to be a challenge but soloable. Defeating him gives you the trait. No need to depend on bugged events and if they respawn at a normal rate, then waiting time is minimal.

When it’s ready.
I dunno. I ain’t nevah had no problems spelling Sylvari. Mehbe them others just went to a junk scool, not a goodun like mine,
What’s black and white and green all over? A Sylvari with Ashen skin, Abyss dye and who has had a fatal encounter with the Arcane order.
Yes it’s an attempt to steal your account. All you can do is mark as junk or delete. There’s nothing ANet can do about it.
They don’t want you to RP as an NPC by using that NPC’s name.
Again “Using an NPC name has been related to various issues within the game. Believe me, I’ve reviewed some of them. Whether the use of the name would result in evil doing, it would result in confusion”
People RP as NPCs with the NPC name (pretending to be the NPC and causing confusion and issues within the game) is one of the reasons they don’t allow characters to keep these names.
You are allowed to look like the NPC but they draw the line at naming your character after the NPC. Its unimportant whether or not you agree, It’s their game and their rules.
Their wings would clip with every backpiece and for that reason I’m going to guess they are low on the list of possibilities.
If it’s helpful to anyone, I got a reply from the support team and I was told that my issue cannot be resolved at this time.
Too bad they couldn’t help you but that answer will help the next time this question comes up.
Their policy is that characters can not have the same or recognizably similar names as their major NPCs. Whether you agree with this policy or not is unimportant. It’s their game and their policy. Therefore they will not allow you to keep that name.
Except names are not copyrightable materials… So using a name inside a game, but not linking it to a NPC in any other way except maybe some form of appearance similarity and name alteration… is not part of copyright… After all, Rytlock is “just” a name.
https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2010/01/08/5-things-that-cant-be-copyrighted/
As Gaile said, "Disallowed names are disallowed names. Using an NPC name has been related to various issues within the game. Believe me, I’ve reviewed some of them. Whether the use of the name would result in evil doing, it would result in confusion, and for that reason, if no other, the name is disallowed.”
And that’s your answer about whether or not it was Rytlock.
The new forum (dis)organization drops threads off the front page waaayyy too fast.

That’s an interesting question, colanah. I will see if a team member can look into the possibilities you mention.
For me is is a two step process.
If I report someone, I subsequently then block them.At no time do I report and NOT block, so automatic blocking would be nice. This goes for any reporting reason. Whether it be gold sellers or verbal abuse. If I report someone for verbally abusing anyone, then I under no circumstances ever want to speak with that person for ANY reason. I don’t need to leave them unblocked to see if anything happens to them, that is for ANet to sort out not for me to monitor.
Now it may just be me but I consider verbal abuse an intolerable action.
If they do it once – Suspended
If they do it a second time – BannedSellers on the other-hand should be Banned immediately.
There are times when someone might block, but not report. For example, If a person is being annoying in map chat but not breaking TOS, they might block them but not report.
I can think of one scenario when someone would report but not block. If the character’s name breaks TOS and he reports it but doesn’t block.
Maybe it will be easy to set up gold sellers as a simultaneous block and report. But since they are part of one list and because this feature doesn’t already exist, to me this means gold sellers would need to be separated out of that list and set up differently, perhaps in their own list, and a combination block/report made for them. This may be more extra work than ANet is willing to do, especially since it only takes a second for the players to block.
It’s the Rytlock. Gaile has said before that they don’t allow players to name characters with their NPC’s names or variations on it. If someone makes such a name and it’s reported, they will force a name change.

In addition to Gaile’s comment there is this:
Reference names of copyrighted or trademarked characters, materials, or products
Use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the above rules
Impersonating an ArenaNet, LLC., NC Interactive, Inc. or NCSOFT employee or customer support representative is against the Guild Wars 2 User Agreement, so we do not allow characters to take the real name or handles of employees or variations of their names or handles that may cause confusion."
It’s very likely that the names of their major NPCs in the game are copywrited and that it’s therefore disallowed for a player to use them.

I don’t understand why people will turn against slyvari… We spent the last two years having to have our cities destroyed, our homes burned and our people killed because Humans, Charr, Asura, and Norn all became minions of 4 different dragons. Meanwhile only the steadfast Slyvari have prevailed in resisting the dragons influence.
Norn are willingly and openly joining Jormag, yet no one is trying to wipe out the Norn. Asura with their deep magic awoken Primordious yet no one is trying to wipe out the Asura.
It is time for Slyvari to say enough is enough. It is time to cleanse the world of the lesser races who have continually fallen under the dragons influence.
I’m turning against Sylvari because I don’t like vegetables.
This post had me laughing from beginning to end
IDK if we are getting an expansion or some other form of large content but I do think something significant is on the way. Lol and all of you are just bad sports picking on a defenseless OP :P the forums are a dangerous place indeed lmao!
The forum lions spy another defenseless gazelle poster. Slinking forward, they move to cut off his escape.
The size of the block list appears to be unknown but I very much doubt it’s unlimited.. The only thing I found with a quick search was back in 2012 where someone tested it and found high numbers of blocks caused problems.
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/47404-how-big-is-the-ignore-list-blocked-list/
“I tested the block list yesterday and managed to block over 270 people before time ran out. The limit is probably 500 (same as guild limit) or more (1k?). Needs further testing.
stress test 6 edit: If my calculations are right I managed to block over 500 guys. Having (600+) players in friend/block list (combined?) will cause lag on low-end systems and because of that I don’t want to test it further on this laptop. In the end it took 30 seconds to open the contacts list."
Personally I prefer to be the one making the decision to block or not. (And yes, I do spend time in the Mists).
What if someone has a completely full block list? Would it bug out and not report in that case? If it does, will people know the report failed and why?
They look well designed to me, though don’t fit any of the aesthetics for any of my characters. I don’t imagine they’re going to fit the aesthetics of a lot of characters, but hey, they’re not hurting anyone to be there at least.
Just not sure how much demand for that look there’ll really be. Would be interesting to actually know.
They are in the range of 90-100 gold for most of them which is a typical price.
Demand varies greatly from 500+ buy orders to less than 10.

Boss is bad.
I prefer Your Royal Highness.
I agree. We’re not getting an expension.
We’re prolly getting an expansion though. To expend, or not to expend, that is the question.
I think we expended too much time on this thread. I’m contacting support and asking for my minutes back.
point of no return was the 8th episode and the last episdoe is 9th how i know, go to collection and on each luminanacens armor shows on which episode it gets unlocked, last armor piece on the 9th episode
What does that have to do with whether or not there will be an expansion?
They applied for a trademark for that logo, which they haven’t done for the other 2 living story arcs. Why would they do that for the next living story if it’s the same as the last 2?
If you use the “all hearts” guide it’s cheaper, less than 4 gold.
http://www.gw2crafts.net/cooking_karma.html
Increasing the levels now would immeasurably anger those who spent hundreds of gold (or more) making ascended gear for their chars just to have it below level cap. Considering how angry some were that ascended was put in the game at all, I don’t think those players would forgive ANet for that.
Try switching to French (a cure for an old bug where the download stopped at one file).
So basically it doesn’t really matter what server I transfer over to as I will essentially be able to play with the entire America server populous?
Correct. It matters for WvW as the players are still assigned to maps based on servers. In PvE, a player is somewhat more likely to be assigned to a shard with other members of the same server, but all the NA or EU servers will go into the same set of shards. The only reason to guest is to try to find a shard where an event, such as a temple, is either done or not done, such as looking for a shard where Balthazar is open so you can buy Obsidian Shards.
That wasn’t the reason the forums were restructured. This explains the reasoning behind the forum restructure: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Forum-Reorganization/first#post4600078
and this gives some more insight as to how and why the restructure took place: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Questions-on-Forum-Reorganization/first#post4600159
Good luck.
Yah, but the time it took to switch topics was part of the discussion (and a factor in their decision).
I have the Demon Mask on my Norn Necro. I don’t have a picture, but when I tried out the new eye colors, the red hued ones (Chili, Flame and Persephone) turned into a glowing yellow. Applied immediately.
It hasn’t been announced yet even, so no one knows.
There still laurels given out but not every day. If you chose the 20 laurels on the 28th day, you’ll get a total of 55 laurels every 28 days (1.96 laurels a day). You got 40 laurels (if you did the monthly) every 30 days with the previous dailies (1.33 laurels a day)
iirc it was because there was too much loading time when ANet staff switched between forums. I might be wrong as that explanation could have fried my brain so that I misremembered it, but I think I’m right.
Ah. Here it is: Source
Gaile Gray.6029:
Going from a post back to the index for this subforum, 20 seconds each time. When you’re trying to read dozens if not hundreds of posts in a day, that’s a long, long time.
Edit: After clicking “submit” for this post, a 5 second wait.
Edit: After clicking “edit” for this post, a 12 second wait.
Edit: Going to the main “Forum” in the breadcrumbs above, instant. Then getting onto the index page for this sub-forum, 20 seconds again.
Edit: Click the edit icon and the window opens instantly. But edit, and then click “edit” and it took 19 seconds to post.
Hope that explanation helps. ^^
