If it’s your thread, what I’ve seen work before is to “report” your own first post and ask for the thread to be closed. You can also delete your original post after reporting, that normally causes the thread to be closed by a moderator.

If it’s not your thread, you can ask by reporting one of your own posts or a post that’s inflammatory and putting a request to close the thread in the box, but it’s up to the moderator to agree that it needs this.

If you don’t know how to report a post, at bottom right of a post is a flag icon (sort of looks like a little crawly person). Click on that and a report box will open up.

If you want to ask for a refund you will need to contact support and discuss it with them.

From previous posts, it seems that if you lost the toy that came with your outfit, you’re out of luck. You can always try support and make sure, but don’t be too surprised if it’s gone for good.

From a post some time back. It was talking about why the towns clothes were discontinued and costumes started but it also gives a reason why they make costumes and not armor.

I noticed the map I was in seemed strangely empty. I was expecting a horde of people but it was a smallish group following a commander. It got the events done ok, but eventually of course it fell apart as people left and not enough were left to be effective. I just thought it was a slow time or something.

Every month I buy $20 worth of gems and sometimes I also buy a percent of my income with gold. This month I’ve already made purchases and have 628 gems remaining, not enough to buy the new Count outfit. I was planning to buy gems with gold but was stopped by the unexpected need to buy 400 gems, when I wanted only 72. No purchase for me. Maybe next month, if it’s still for sale and I haven’t reconsidered.

I do Teq every day and that’s usually around 15,000 karma each time we kill him (give or take a little). Of course it does have it’s disadvantages. You need to get there early, need to be on a winning map and not get DC’d before it ends.

Got both this year already. The chattering skulls and plastic fangs are dead cheap and altogether cost me about 6 -7 gold.

If the ANet staff is in anyway surprised by the negative reaction of the forum then it’s because they have their eyes firmly fixed on the metrics and are not thinking about individual players.

It should have only taken a few minutes thought to realize that taking away options is bad. That making people buy large quantities of gems penalizes those that buy small numbers at a time. It penalizes the new players. How many new players have the minimum of 70 to 80 gold needed now to get any gems at all? It means the new players can’t buy a few gems at a time to work toward a purchase. In addition, it also penalizes the veterans whose play style isn’t farming the game for gold but playing the content for fun.

I don’t consider myself poor in game but being forced to make a minimum of 70-80 gold if I want to purchase any at all makes me think not just twice but 3 or 4 times. There are many in game without the necessary gold to buy 400 gems at a time. This knocks all those people out of the loop and leaves them outside of the gem store window, looking in.

This should never have gone through without an option to put in a custom number.

open your map and note on the right bottom of the map shows 3 tiers (squares) top, middle, and bottom. If you click on the top of bottom square you can see the poi. Not well but you can see it.

Just to check, you previously had 2 brooms? The one that came with the outfit and the one you bought separately? Also you said it disappeared. You mean you have had it all these months and it recently disappeared?

If you used to have 2 brooms and one has recently disappeared (you saw it in these last few months since you upgraded your outfit but now it’s gone) you can contact support and see what what they say.

Maybe post or check in the fan generated content forum? There are several threads about commissioned artwork there.

It is beautiful….if you aren’t an asura female. If you’re an asura female….well…it’s great if you want to wear a suit. I feel like arenanet dropped the ball and went lazy with this. Not sure if they did the same to char. But….it does rightfully suck that female asuras have the same appearance as males. :/

Speaking of which, has there ever been a time that asura females actually wore dresses to begin with?

There is one costume where Asuran females wear a dress and not the male version, the Wintersday outfit (the Charr also).

Edit: but I have to say, the current outfit for females is for those that are more obviously “mammalian”. The chest region of the female Asura is flat and possibly there are problems with that and how the costume looks and fits.

From what I’ve read, they are pretty swamped, but if it’s been 3 days since the last time he heard from them you can post his ticket number in the stickied thread, Tickets for review, 3 days and older for them to look at.

Why doesn’t it have a100 gem minimum if ANet is going to set standard amounts? Right now it’s 71 gold to get any gems with ingame money.

Did he get an initial automated response? If not it might be in the spam/junk folders or he has an email that has a problem with ANet. He can read the thread, not getting our emails for more information about that.

A second possibility if he isn’t getting email, his email is hacked and the hacker is removing them before your friend sees them.

In either case, if he hasn’t already done so he needs to run a full security sweep of his computer. It wouldn’t hurt to change his computer’s email’s password after that, just to be sure.

Unfortunately if his account was hacked it was undoubtably stripped the first day. They don’t normally wait around to do that so the damage is probably already done and over with.

Not a fan of this either. When I buy gems it’s an amount I need or a percent of my daily income. A set amount is too rigid and unwanted.

New Currency Exchange UI:
The Currency Exchange UI has been overhauled to be quicker to use and easier to understand.
Quick exchange options for both currencies are now visible on the front page of the Currency Exchange.
The comparison between Exchange for Gold and Exchange for Gems prices is much more obvious.
Fixed exchange amounts have been set to simplify the exchange process and remove confusing rounding points.
Added a preview of new balances.
Added an improved confirmation UI.

That page has 2 drop down option buttons that people sometimes miss, perhaps that’s the problem?

If that’s not it, try checking your browser settings to see if the password is saved there.

For example:
In Chrome, click on the settings icon (3 lines at the upper right), click on Settings. This should take you to a tab with your parameters. There’s a link at the bottom to the advanced settings, click on it. In the advanced settings, there is a chapter called passwords and forms. There should be a link called “Manage my saved passwords”

Why not an ingame library with books with these stories?

The two groups can’t play together on the same maps because the account data is stored in 2 different places, the NA servers in Texas and the EU servers in Germany. This setup means only the members of each group can play together.

I think members can cross talk or send email because this is only a small transfer of information between the 2 groups. To play together requires transfering the whole account to the other data storage center, which means backing out to character select and waiting up to a half hour while the information transfers over.

From what I’ve read, no. There’s the difference in prices between buying and selling gems that makes it unprofitable to do it quickly. At best someone would have to hold on to gems until they rose in price high enough to both cover the fees and to make a profit.

I used to farm the low level Ascalon area for chili peppers, which are hard enough to find without removing nodes for them. They are a low level item that’s currently almost 27 silver as demand is way higher than supply.

It’s probably because of gold sellers. They could make a guild, invite the person buying gold, put the gold in the guild bank and the person withdraws. The mail is blocked for new accounts for the same reason.

The armors are not mix and match across the weights, the professions. Light can only wear light, heavy can only wear heavy and medium only medium. So you can only mix and match within that weight class.

When you look at the wardrobe on your hero panel, only the armor that char can wear will show. So your guardian’s armor won’t even be visible as an option for your necro.

It says in wiki that you will get a random assortment of 3 items out of a list of items and you choose one of the 3.

If you look at the centaurs you will see they are piebald. The piebald coat coloration Is typically a sign of domestication and is rare in non domesticated species.

This suggests that centaurs were a slave species in the past and probably were used to pull wagons.

The costumes were designed to be used with the backpacks and to make one not use them would require a redesign. Perhaps It would even make it not usable In the costume slot.

Okay, I’m new to this game so please be a bit patient with me. I created a Sylvari elementalist (who is now level 2), and chose air as my preferred magic, but I still started with fire, is this a problem with the game, do all elementalists start withfire, or am I just overlooking something obvious?
P.S. My character also started with a storm eye and I think I saw a sylvari of my level doing lightning magic.

You will always start with fire as your first unlock. As you level up you get access to more elements. The game has downleveling so the ele that you saw doing lightning magic was a higher level person downleveled to your level.

The storm eye is cosmetic only. It doesn’t effect your gameplay in any way.

Shrug, they are 10 silver each. I would rather have one of them than a 1 or 2 silver green or blue. Since they are labeled as a trophy, presumably they don’t take the place of an exotic weapon or armor.

The couple of times I’ve gotten an exotic drop from Teq, it was from a gilded strongbox. The spoon comes from the big chest itself. The spoon might not displace an exotic but replaces another green or blue.

You can either report him in game for botting, if you think he is using a disallowed macro, or if you feel you need to add extra information you can make a ticket from the forum here (top of page-Support. Top of page-submit a request) and report, being sure to give his Display name. I’m pretty sure though they prefer the ingame method.

Or possibly make sure you have an extra set of tools before you go there if you find this to be a recurring problem……

There is a crafting area/bank in the center village. If you store some there you can get them from your bank.

Level 55 heart sells picks. Level 58 heart sells axes. Level 62 heart sells sickles.

I deleted my Mad Memoirs (the non burning version). Too many backpacks and not enough inventory space to hold it all. Even though I know I’ll never use it, for completionist sake, I’d like to have it again to put in the wardrobe. Maybe they will bring them back in game, that’s the best we can hope for.

From previous posts, support has said they are unable to unlock items you no longer have. The best that can be hoped for at this time is they make it available again in game.

Maybe, if it’s playable without too much lag, consider transferring to a NA server if it’s an English speaking server you want. Because of Megaservers there aren’t specific language servers anymore. Maybe you can make another thread and ask how playable it is. I gather a lot of Australians play on the NA servers so it may not be too bad.

(And since you want to improve your English, the word arrest in your thread title isn’t correct. You probably want make without the to in front (either: Can you help me make my choice or Can you help me choose) Arrest means to restrain a criminal, for example The policeman arrested the man, or to stop something from moving).

Fine dining might be bugged too or at least it was for me. Recipe: feast of truffle steak dinner. Crafted it without gaining any recognition as being part of the collection. Crafted a second time only to be told I already know the recipe.

Maybe try learning the recipe on a different character. It shouldn’t matter what character learned it and maybe the second time it will catch. Learn it on a char that has cooking as one of the crafting it has active, just to be more sure.

Apparently it is like a random item of the same rarity.

As to when it starts, it does so as a regular event. Which means it will start periodically then sit or proceed depending on whether or not there are players.
