It’s just a game, take a step back relax and breathe, also this JP has Checkpoints throughout it so it is by far one of the More forging JPs in the whole game since if you mess up you get to start partway to most of the way through it.
You should have been able to win that 5DH is easy to work around… probably should have had a few people swap to Reaper and tear through them.
I did recommend that some changed to Reaper. But you know how well that usually goes. Again I’m not at all complaining. I just thought I play at least one of two matches of rank before I got something to laugh vigorously at as always, ANet does not disappoint.
First match of the day and 7 minutes of laughter.
10/10 I’m so going to record all of my ranked matches for now on. Such laughs should be shared, don’t you agree?
Oh definitely, the funniest match I played in at last moment enemy team swapped to have 3 DHs vs the 1 on initial load into map, I hastily swapped my build to Core P/P Thief couldn’t get all the Utilities swapped before timer was stuck with one missing Utility and no elite. Still had highest Kills on team and highest offense just mowing down the DHs with the Core P/P Build. This as in mid-High Gold at the time I expected the opponents to be a little more competent but meh. It was a great time. I wish I would have recorded but my computer has become a 6 year old outdated potato so no recording for me!
Hopefully this is just fuel to add to them removing Class stacking, I would rather have a longer Queue that can self correct than the class stacking mess we have today since the balance decisions do t take into account class stacking.
You should have been able to win that 5DH is easy to work around… probably should have had a few people swap to Reaper and tear through them.
You are most likely facing better Average Mmr teams since they average your and your partners Mmr then place you against higher average Mmr teams since you are Duo queued.
Energy needs to stay, CD’s need to go. Both on weapons and utilities.
Putting in CDs ruined the class.
CDs were always on the class
I don’t understand, I have seen countless posts on here about how PvP does not get good enough rewards. How the rest of the game gets better gold and rewards, and how PvP players can’t afford and can’t get the materials they need to even make ascended armor.
So during seasons, they offer a chance at almost a full set of Ascended armor. I am lost as to why people would not be happy that finally PvP rewards are getting looked at.
Thank Goodness for Ascended rewards! They are NOT over the top they are appropriate.
I’m not complaining about PvP getting decent rewards. My complains are about how easy/fast these are acquired by any player, no matter skill level or time investment, and how there’s barely any reward after that.
A single game a day, no matter the performance, is nearly enough to cap all the shards and tickets. What does remain for those focused on PvP then (who will cap those in far less than a couple of weeks, if they are not already capped)? A bit of gold, still less than what PvE produces.
Most people in it focused on PvP will keep playing for the Leaderboards only the players that wanted only the rewards will stop and they weren’t actually focused on PvP.
They should just remove Solo Queue and make it a Duo/Trio Queue only since the game mode is designed for organized Team play, which Solo Queue is not. The benefits are more than only having Solo Queue, being you get to play with your friends, you get short Queue times than full premise queues, you can make sure match quality is not atrocious, each side will have equal grouped teams i.e. both sides having a Duo and a Trio.
While Solo Queue is just all negatives, those being not able to play with your friends, atrocious match quality, afkers/griefers/intentional DCs and so on.
Not quite exact. You buy clothing, you have the clothing. What a transmutation charge is is more correct to ANOTHER item of the SAME look. Like buying 2 of one shirt.
But you already own the “looks”. Like owning a mattress and owning several sets of sheets. Why should I pay to change the sheets?
Because you’re confusing the two. Think more as your character is the mattress in this scenario. If your character is the mattress, your armor is the sheet. You have only 1 sheet (set of armor) and it is striped. You want a different style one, something with clouds. You have an option of buying another sheet (a second set of armor) that already looks it, or change your current sheet (main armor set) by drawing on it (TC).
What you used as the mattress is the armor, and the skin as the sheet. Now yes, this form would be very nice. But then you’re suggesting free skin changes at will, which I believe was the outfits being put in. I just carry two sheets when I want to change my mattress. Bag space is more limited, but that’s my choice for more looks.
Now, I wouldn’t mind being able to earn more TC for current price, or less price for current amount. However, since most players are normally overflowing with TC, I don’t see that happening soon.
I don’t care whether you are talking about changing the look on the character or changing the look of an item. In either case I have already purchased or gained through play all of the skins I am using. If I have already gained the skins, I should be able to use them at will. I don’t understand why I am being taxed to use the skins I have already earned.
You buy an one time use of the skin, BUT can reuse it when you got extra transmutations, look at it that way – and how hoften do you change skills that you don’t have enough? Every day??
So you honestly believe that purchasing an outfit for 800 gems should be “one use” and then using it again is only 24-30 gems? That doesn’t make any sense. If each is one use, then each use should be the same cost. And why would I have it in my Wardrobe if I can’t actually use it? IRL if I have a shirt in my closet I can wear it as many times as I like.
If Anet meant for a skin to be paid for each time you use it, they should charge less initially. They charge more because they don’t know how often you will use the skin… (how often they can get more $ from you).
But see you don’t have to spend on Gems since you literally get TC for free just by logging in. You don’t even have todo anything. There are ways to get them faster yes, but you get them handed to you.
Three charges a month don’t go very far between my eight characters.
Not my problem I just that that is only one way you get them for free and for no effort there are still 3 other very viable ways to get them for free….
Its your problem because it invalidates your argument that you don’t have to pay for them.
Nope because cost is relative, I pay neither time nor gold/money for them so therefore they are completely free to me, and many more like me that get them just by playing the game, it has never been my goal to farm or do specific activities to acquire these charges, they are purely an oft forgotten byproduct of doing things I enjoy.
I don’t understand, I have seen countless posts on here about how PvP does not get good enough rewards. How the rest of the game gets better gold and rewards, and how PvP players can’t afford and can’t get the materials they need to even make ascended armor.

Thank Goodness for Ascended rewards! They are NOT over the top they are appropriate.
It could be a mixture of PvE/WvW players complaining that PvP finally has decent access to to good of rewards and think that it shouldn’t since ermegherd sPvP don’t use stats!!!
This is just the reaction of the different gamemode communities clashing when specific gamemode get attention/love from the Devs, so soak it up now it may not last long buy up all the Ascended you can/need now!!!
Yeah I had noticed on the WvW forums they are suddenly calling for easier access to Ascended armor…
Which is fine all relevant game modes should have access to Ascended equipment and Legendary equipment, it’s just the PvE/WvW players want to take away the PvP rewards which is wrong, granted they made it a little fast acquisition wise and capped the shards as a balance it seems vs having slow shard acquisition and having it repeatable and uncapped.
I don’t understand, I have seen countless posts on here about how PvP does not get good enough rewards. How the rest of the game gets better gold and rewards, and how PvP players can’t afford and can’t get the materials they need to even make ascended armor.

Something needs to be done about duo queues lol… This kittens wild man
Yeah it’s called get rid of Solo Queues and make it Duo/Trio Queue because it’s designed to be an organized game mode…..

I don’t think “free” means what you think it means. Nothing in this game is given for free except those daily logins. And if 3 TCs a month is your argument, then you really don’t have one.
If I am doing something that I enjoy and happen to get the TC without meaning to get them then that is free as in I don’t spend gold or time actively trying to accrue them I just play the game normally funny how that works…. and I was just saying they give them out completely free by just logging in daily..
Edit: wrong section. Can it be moved to pvp?
I understand matchmaking gives points based on teams we face. I understand we shouldn’t get many pts for winning vs worse team BUT getting 2 pts per win is just….. ehhhhh. Can we have like limit of how very few pts we get? 2 pts for 5 min q + 10 min match is bit stupid.
Sounds like to finally balanced out in your rating.

For the thief all you need is a well placed cc or Root and boom dead thief. They are pain but not invincible. Mesmer is a different story.
Only way is to Have a static group because Lemmings— I mean PUGS only play Meta and copy Top Raiding guilds.
To be actually clear:
A condi thief running Rending Shade will destroy warriors who over rely on resistance.
Oh my god is this even a serious argument? Yes, if the condi thief is running D/D Viper then yes they might actually make use of backstab, in which case Rending Shade would actually be useful. But this assumes that they’re running Shadow Arts, which means they have to either drop Acrobatics or Trickery. Likely? I think not, unless they’re an idiot, in which case let’s go back to my main point: condi thief is not viable and neither are those who play it.
You know there is more than just D/D Condi right? The P/D makes better use of Shadowarts.
Fair point. Another build that you wouldn’t take into ranked, but yes it does exist and is used.
You would take it depending on enemy comp, if I ever see 2+ DH on enemy team I sure as hell swap to P/P because DH are fodder to that Build, wouldn’t use it normally or against other Comps. The same could be said about P/D vs a Warrior heavy team and so on.
No, I wouldn’t do that. Rather than change to a highly specialized build like P/P which is inferior to D/P, I would change toons. You say a DH heavy team? I’ll get my duo partner to play necro, ele or engi, and I’ll play the complement to that. You’re holding back your team by switching to a build that has one use case. Thief’s job is not and never will be to kill a specific person on the other team, it’s to be the most mobile and the most sneaky, and use those advantages for decaps and backcaps, and of course to burst people down in node fights when necessary. Seriously, why spend your time learning how to play P/P or P/D when you could just learn better counters to those classes? Like for example I could learn how to play power rev to counter condi warr, since technically it counter condi warr, but why would I learn power rev for that purpose? Instead I could play an ele bunker or scrapper, which gives me far more utility to the team and a greater margin for error. I can’t kill the warrior alone on an ele bunker, but that role is sure as hell more useful to the team than P/D. I’m talking about conquest here, not dueling.
There is no need for me to learn to play P/P, I have practiced every weapon set and learned what I have needed to from them(perks of playing since launch).
On a DH heavy team I know a few things they have very low mobility compared to me, I don’t need to be sneaky sneaky and I can still abuse stealth if need be. With a DH heavy team I know I can kill any DH approaching and have them downed as soon as they hit the Node. It still excels at high burst and +1 team fights. You always choose the best tools for the situation and sometimes I don’t like swapping professions and I hav mainly Solo Queued this season normally no one on to complement my alt classes and so on.
Is P/P good for high Tier play? Probably not but I am not in High Tier, I adjust my strategy/Playstyle to what I am facing and currently in mid Gold most people besides Eles die to P/P.
You should never increase skill from a loss….. maybe they should make PvP a team only gamemode ( as it and the Matchmaking are designed to be) that would solve a lot of the problems people have with having potatoes on their team…
So essentially this thread boils down to OP only wanting action because they want the said item and not spend the money on it or farm them. Got it.
Anet should not mess with the market these are seasonal prices, items go up in price when demands are high it’s just how things work, irl example look at the price of Eoses and chocolates around Valentimes day, they magically substantially increase in price for that single day, nothing different here.
Actually, I’m reading all this back and forth here and … I’m not so good at this whole disengage thing. I’m a DH and when I get jumped by a thief who’s stealthed and unleashed his whole burst on me, I smack them down to a quarter health and they stealth and disengage. Before my health returns, they unstealth and have 90% health again and are right back at me.
Seems they can clear conditions significantly in stealth too.
So all this “when they are OOC, you are also OOC” isn’t what I’m experiencing. They have to be truly OOC, not just stealthed removing condi and regening.
That’s just what I’m seeing and I’m not so effective fighting these thieves, mesmers or rangers. I’ll at least admit that. For me it’s definitely a l2p issue, but I do understand what the OP is saying.
If you are having problems with Thieves on DH which is the direct Hardcounter to Thief you have other issues. And yes if they Are OOC so are you unless you have aggro from some other enemy. And while they disengage they can use their Heal it’s not that hard to understand and while they are disengaged you should be moving and so on all the while your CDS and health will regen. The rules don’t magically stop working because a thief disengages. If you have a damaging condition on you from said Thief you are both still in combat, if either of you are OOC and have no other aggro or such you are both OOC.

Hey there i am a leader of 450+ member lv68 guild and i think representing is very important:
- it shows that your members actually give a kitten about what guild they are in atm and are not just there because they fell like it.
- it eventually builds an internal community of core players that make the heart of the guild.
- it roots out the people who just want to leech.
- it shows people on world map further growing the sense of belonging to a certain guild.
and in the end if you dont like rep policies you dont have to join
![]()
the only people who have a problem with this are :-people who join multiple guilds with rep policies then get angry when you tell them to rep (brain power i know).
this is not even really true at all . thos of us who want noting at all to do with guilds
these days . see this as meaning noting at all and has no valid points what so ever.
even more so since they took the rep befits away . some time ago . and made guilds
noting more than a node farming spot with buffs at the very best
If you don’t want anything to do with guilds then leave all guilds you are in and don’t request changes because you don’t like how they function, it’s pretty simple really.
you missed the part where i made it clear i am not in a guild at all . !! :P but that is what
happens when you do not read every thing :P
Reading comprehension I also stated don’t advocate hanged for guilds if you want nothing to do with them, and most of this thread is walls of text so I skim. I should have said don’t join any guilds instead.

It’d be silly to say that Celestial Shadow is more accessible than the options that thief and mesmer have. I dislike that the whole CA mechanic suffers because of that trait.
As it is now I wouldn’t even take Lingering Light if it were competing with the other Master traits. Or at all.Pretty much agreed with Draeyon.

I said cheap and accessible, reading comprehension is a wonderful thing, let’s see stealth on a 10 sec Cd before nerf that isn’t tied to any Weapon or utility skill, that provided AoE stealth and Superspeed that’s uninterruptible.
While Thief has to Use use 9 Initiative (effectively a 9 sec CD on most skills since Initiative only regens at 1 per second in most builds) that is tied to all its weapon skills, that can be interruptible, doesn’t provide Superspeed, the only saving grace is the return Thief gets by being able to stack Stealth off of one BP making them pretty combat ineffective since no Initiative.
And I never said anything about Mesmer since they get multiple CDs and shortened CDs of Stealth if spec’Ed for it.
Every class is stale until Anet decides to put Effortinto making more traitlinesband weapons viable, but from experience they only want to put effort in “balancing” a few options
@BlaqueFyre It’s clear for everyone that sylvari are created through the Pale Tree, but it’s also clear that Mordremoth has nothing to do with their actual creation, how they actually come to be is still shrouded in mystery, the Dream of Dreams is still mysterious. What we actually know is that terrible plant creatures (supposedly Mordrem) guarded the very same seeds from which the Pale Tree originated, and we do not know about the seeds’ origin; if Mordremoth could grow new ones at any given time (which I guess it’s a possibility in your view), why even spawn those seeds millennia earlier to actually using them? Unless the seeds are not from Mordremoth and there’s a limited amount of them available to the Dragon: Mordremoth knew about their potential and was determined to exploit them.
You can’t dispute that the statement “sylvari were created to be dragon minions” is very different from the one stating that “sylvari were created as dragon minions”, the official statement implies that sylvari need to be corrupted in order to fall to Mordremoth; sylvari are not inherently dragon minions, they need to be corrupted first.
Mordremoth is like a malevolent adoptive parent who’s willing to abuse and use its adopted children for its own motives.BlaqueFyre.5678“When a sylvari becomes a Mordrem Guard, they also transform physically. This was by Mordremoth’s design."
Again stating by his design they will change in appearance.
Mordremoth gets involved only when sylvari get corrupted, it is their physical transformation into Mordrem Guards that’s dictated (designed) by Mordremoth. To quote Scott McGough: “A Mordrem Guard’s appearance is more due to Mordremoth’s ability to control and shape plant life—sylvari are plants, after all, and once Mordy’s mental influence takes hold of a sylvari, it then twists their physical form into this more formidable configuration. It is related to a dark mirror of a sylvari’s ability to change their own appearance, but in this case it’s being directed by Mordy and not the individual”.
You instead stated that sylvari themselves are designed by Mordremoth, which is nowhere to be found, and came from your imagination.Ultimately, what’s clear is that we lack complete answers on this, and you don’t realize that my view is as viable as yours with the amount of information we have.
P.S. Again, the in-game lore about this just come to us via the sylvari, and they are not a reliable source.
If the official statement was only in regards to them being corruptible it would have said that again the stated created to be minions not turned into or corrupted in to minions but created to be dragon minions. you seem to not know what the term created means.
Now like I said they were created to be dragon minions, but since they were outside of Mordremoths influence they weren’t dragon minions but would still be created by them.
Again you don’t seem to know the definition of Created.
I am done arguing with you you dispute actual Lore and Dev statements and the because it doesn’t fit you view of Sylvari.
no, duo q is not healthy, duo q stagnates the meta in teambuilds that arent healthy for a soloq environement.
in a pure solo q environement the builds have to evolve to a more selfish ones, you cant expect suport for your sustain that makes pure dps builds squishy or dps if you are pure tank or substain that makes pure sustain/tank weak also , you have to build it up, but duo q bring players whith cordinated builds on the board(dps-suport, tank-tank, whith diferent specs that one covers the faults of other, or another tricky composition of interdependant builts ) that dominate the game clearly
Maybe people shouldn’t Solo Queue in an organized team gamemode.
@BlaqueFyre If you actually tried to read what I wrote it’ll be clear that I did not pickpocket any information; try to understand what one is saying instead of blindly saying “sylvari are created by Mordremoth”.
The scenario I propose was built around the informations we have, I do not create lore to support my view, like you do: sylvari were not designed by Mordremoth, you are imagining this; you say that “sylvari are made by Mordremoth” but that’s not the case, we have no clear line stating that and, again, the information given to us by the sylvari is not reliable (and not because I want it to be unreliable); the seeds did not come from Mordremoth, there’s nothing stating that.
You see information where there isn’t.The Devs are known to leave loose threads for future developments, and my view totally fits in this.
But however I pose it you’re just gonna ignore the points I made.
Let’s get this straight I am quoting actual sources while you have yet to back up any of your “facts” with real sources besides your interpretation that goes against actual statements by Devs.
Again you are getting hung up on that one sentence. Let me lay it out clearly in the very first statement from the official Dev posts says.
“Yes, it’s true—sylvari were created to be dragon minions. And now Mordremoth has called them home.”
Let’s look at the last part of that sentence “Mordremoth has called them Home” after stating they were created to be dragon Minions.
Now let’s go off of that they were created to be dragon minions who would have created them to be such? Oh right Mordremoth. Now I will concede to they probably are not Dragon Minions when they don’t heed the Call, but you can’t dispute that Mordremoth is their creator, since who else would have created Sylvari to be dragon minions? And this is verified in game by both Wynne and The Pale Tree as well as by the Devs.
So if the Sylvari are created by Mordremoth as per Dev posts and by in game lore that would mean the source that propogates the creation of Mordremoth would also be created by Mordremoth. You have no facts in game lore or otherwise to assert that it isn’t yet the inference is there that if Sylvari were created to be dragon minions then the Pale Tree is from the same creator.
Then there is the fact of these two clauses
“When a sylvari becomes a Mordrem Guard, they also transform physically. This was by Mordremoth’s design. "
Again stating by his design they will change in appearance.
I would like to see actual facts and statements from in game and from Devs backing your claims! I doubt any will come about and all we will be left with are your interpretations
Tl;Dr
The Sylvari are created by Mordremoth, by extension then the Pale Tree would be as well.
They are only considered minions when they become Mordremoth Guard and heed the call.
Yes Sw/F and Mace Shield with Menders is a very Viable build
If using traps :| or medi traps.
MediTraps, sorry, I was running it quite a bit before going back to Mara With LB
You will want to run Contemplation of Purity in this Condi spam Meta it has saved me so many times.
Another issue I’m running in to actually, anyone know why someone would not show up on your friend leaderboard when you friend them? It’s been very inconsistent for me. At first I thought maybe it just didn’t show some people because they were in placement matches, but I’ve tried adding people that have their badges already and sometimes it shows them on the leader board and sometimes it doesn’t. The whole thing is just very inconsistent. Anyone got an answer to this?
You have to pay attention and look through all pages on the tabs, and yes it won’t show people that haven’t placed.
If it didn’t then you would get pulled to the thief lol.
Those were the days, now they should return it and give Thief large AoE damage….. wait that kind of reminds me of a class already…. lol
The change is perfectly fine move on. It’s kind of ridiculous when a class that doesn’t need or rely on stealth has higher cheap stealth access than the class That has stealth as a class mechanic.
Then add on to that the whole package that is Druid which makes for some ridiculous mechanics all bundled up. Mobility, Range, Healing, Stealth……
Yes Sw/F and Mace Shield with Menders is a very Viable build
Yep Anet do something, get rid of the Solo Queue and make it a Duo/Trio Queue so no more complaining about a Organized Team game mode and each team will have the exact same amount of grouped players!
You’re missing the point. Duo queue gives an inherent advantage and when there’s a 2-2-1 vs 1-1-1-1-1 split, that’s a problem.
Nope not missing the point remove Solo Queue and all these complaints will go away make it only Duo/Trio Queue.
And when a duo team is queued they get put against teams with higher average Mmr and are therefore at a disadvantage on a matchmaking stand point
I dont get one shotted that often or did i say it happen on my guard. all i said is that thiefs can almost one shot and perma inturrupt someone even after 2 stun breaks for ex. and shatter mesmers well… sometimes u just get a “wtf jist hit me that my 18k health went puff?” While fighting mesmers and u remember seeing a lot of ghosts running towards u after u dodge roll or break out of stun…
If u ever die to a thief as a dh then it means u are playing badly and its ur problem.
thief and mesmer is never op compare to current dh in wvw and it doesnt even req skills to play like mesmer or thief does to be effective
Totally disagree. In pvp I hold my own pretty good on a DH, in WvW the class is limping by comparison.
Yet the majority of players in WvW play Guardian, funny how that works…
Yep Anet do something, get rid of the Solo Queue and make it a Duo/Trio Queue so no more complaining about a Organized Team game mode and each team will have the exact same amount of grouped players!
Andy have never been transparent with participation Numbers. Ever.i think the only time they ever posted hard factual Numbers was in regards to player race/gender, and that was 4 years ago…. but no no meaningful numbers have been published since.
@BlaqueFyre It seems like you keep going on your route, continuing to repeat the same thing without even considering what I wrote.
- You say “the Pale Tree was created by Mordremoth”, but this isn’t the case, we don’t yet know about the Pale Tree’s origin; you can’t propose this as canon lore.
- The Pale Tree is not omniscent nor immortal, its beliefs could have also been influenced by Mordremoth like those of the sylvari, possibly even through the sylvari’s own beliefs.
- To repeat myself (since you keep assuming sylvari were designed by Mordremoth) the Elder Dragon didn’t design the sylvari, that’s your fallacy; Mordremoth designed the Mordrem Guards’ appearance (thick bark and growth in size).
- Mordremoth shamelessly defined itself as being the very jungle, but it was obviously lying. While we don’t know about the origin of the seeds, we know the Pale Tree’s seed came from the jungle and that it was taken far from its home; supposedly, Mordremoth also knew about the seeds. Mordremoth isn’t then completely lying when “calling them home”, but the thing is that the Elder Dragon is not their home nor their actual creator; it didn’t create the seeds and even less the sylvari.
Mordremoth did not create the seeds, that’s nowhere to be found, and if you actually believe it to be the case you are just prolonging an assumption.Ultimately, your view on the sylvari is based on imaginary foundations and as of now you’ve been too uncritical to realize this; and you didn’t answer this question (even though you might think you did): if the sylvari are dragon minions from the start and are simply kept from reverting to their (supposed) true nature by the Pale Tree, would this imply that upon the Pale Tree’s death every sylvari would turn to Mordremoth, even if the Dragon was dead? That would make sense if the sylvari actually were dragon minions, since dragon minions will keep serving their master even after its death.
But sylvari are not dragon minions.
P.S. Icebrood is a wide term, I think you’re referring to the already corrupted Sons of Svanir: these norn willingly chose to follow Jormag, and only the highest in ranks still retain bits of their minds (like it’ll happen with any other Elder Dragon: the dragon minions “highest in rank” retain more of their original minds, but they still lose their free will).
You keep picking apart the Dev post trying to isolate each part so it serves your view point when you have to take it all as whole and even in game it is stated they were created to serve Mordremoth, and if the Sylvari are created to serve Mordremoth as the Devs have stated and in game lore has stated that means the Pale Tree which is where the Sylvari come from is? Guess what from Mordremoth, it’s not too hard to follow that simple line of thought.
You just seem to only see your view point as being true from the actual Dev posts stating Sylvari are made by Mordremoth and the in game lore stating as such and won’t even consider others view points, at least my view point on the Sylvari origins is supported by actual inhale lore and Dev posts while yours is supported by thin air and your desire for it to be true.
The argument for solo queue is basically this: “I want to win, but I don’t want to coordinate or use teamwork in a team game.” If you don’t play to win, then don’t cry about losing to someone who does.
- If your team comp isn’t good, then switch or ask someone else to switch! Group queues have players who already bit the bullet and played something to help the team even if it wasn’t their first choice.
- Know your role. If you’re not good at solo fights, don’t run out solo. If you’re a support, stay glued to someone who needs it. If you’re a thief, don’t try to take every 1v1; only take the ones you know you can win. If you’re not fast out of the gate with good sustain, don’t push far alone at the start.
- Focus/assist, chat, map pings, and basic map awareness are all tools you can use. If your team is staggered, call it out. Call incoming with numbers or ping before the fight starts. Coordinating before the match starts helps a ton. I rarely see PUG teams do any of this. In my experience, voice comm doesn’t improve this for most group queues (coordination in-game is not strong enough); they’re just not shy about communicating.
That’s all good but ranked is supposed to represent skill while the social aspect is only secondary. Voice comm is esentially a huge advantage.
One solution that wouldn’t kitten off both sides would be to have the same number of duo Qs on each team. So 2 2 1 vs 2 2 1 would be fine whereas 2 1 1 1 vs 1 1 1 1 1 is not fair.
Or get rid of Solo queueing all together because sPvp was always designed as a organized team game mode and make it duo/trio Queue which makes it so each team willl always have the same amount of grouped players on either side. Since coordination is also an indicator of skill.
Yes druid too op,
Give them dh block shields and invulnerability elite to bring them back down to real skilled balance! Oh and probably wouldn’t hurt to nerf their Wilderness Survival traits oakheart salve and shared anguish by swapping them to skillful under powered auto stance traits of warrior defy pain and last stand.
Something must be done!
I just meant nerf their Trench coats and Buttcapes……… two prevalent such op
Nerf Druid in Fashion Wars…. because Reasons
Why not try to grind the WvW one? Might take more than just a season or two.
There is a WvW backpack?
The Joke

You O.o
If you’re saying it was joke, was a failed one imo.
Nope not failed… there is no WvW backpack, probably never will be hell Pvpv got ascended before WvW bahahhaha
Failure is relative and I bet there will be a wvw backpack one year, if the community is vocal enough about it.
Seeing how the wvw community was very vocal about a legendary backpack and it’s still a year later and no backpack I doubt they will ever implement it.
@BlaqueFyre The scenario I propose is a very plausible one, at least as much as the prevalent view that states that “sylvari are dragon minions to begin with”—I don’t blindly wish for my view to be true… allow me to briefly explain:
- It’s clear sylvari weren’t created by Mordremoth, main reason being that new sylvari are being born even after its death.
- The in-game lore about this is given to us just by the perspective of the sylvari and their beliefs could have been influenced by Mordremoth.
- The “official Dev post” says that “sylvari were created to be dragon minions” and not that “sylvari are dragon minions”, there is a difference between these two statements: sylvari have the potential to be turned by Mordremoth, they are not dragon minions as soon as they awaken, it’s very different.
When you say “sylvari were designed by Mordremoth” you commit a mistake, since that very official post actually states that it was their physical transformation [sylvari transforming into Mordrem] to have been designed by Mordremoth—it’s important to actually understand what’s been written.
In addition, that official post doesn’t actually imply anywhere that they came from Mordremoth itself, and it definitely looks to me that sylvari spawn from Trees after all (and, unfortunately, we don’t yet know about the Trees’ true origins).BlaqueFyre.5678[sylvari] are still dragon minions but with free will unless they fell to Mordremoth calling them home.
I thought the very definition of “dragon minion” implies that the corrupted one loses its free will, but you say sylvari are dragon minions with free will… does thas make sense? Also, if they are created by Mordremoth, how could they keep spawning as dragon minions (since, in your view, they just exist because they were spawned as dragon minions) if the Dragon is now dead?
BlaqueFyre.5678They were just not initially subjected to Mordremoths will because of plot armor around the Pale Tree with no real explanation by Devs.
Are you undervaluing and not considering the still mysterious lore concerning the Pale Tree and the Dream of Dreams? It can’t be simply ignored because it’s yet to be explained by the Devs.
I guess then that in your view every single sylvari would immediately turn to Mordremoth upon the Pale Tree’s death, even if that happened after the Elder Dragon’s death.Ultimately, my take is as valid—if not more—as the most common one.
Sylvari are creations of Mordremoth, by Dev posts and by in game lore throughout Wynne and the Pale Trees confirmation, hence why the Pale Tree had Wynne keep it secret, Mordremoth doesn’t need to be alive for something like the Pale Tree to keep creating them, the Pale Tree was created by Mordremoth they have yet to explain why the Pale Tree and by Extension the Sylvari were not influenced by Mordremoth since their creation hence the Plot armor, you are so hung up on that one sentence that you don’t take into consideration the whole Dev posts that Mordremoth created Sylvari the way he wanted and that he is calling them Home.
A minion doesn’t inherently mean they are subjugated to the dragon i.e. Icebrood have free will.
New players start at 1500. Then your placement matches highly hanged this especiallly the first couple

You have a new backpack from the Wintersday reward track, which is pvp only, you can equip it only in pvp and there is no stat selection on it.
That answer is a bit of a troll but there really is a backpack like that :p
I will never select it because I have the one that can be used anywhere….
I saw that backpack on someone while we collected wintersday gifts for donations, so the skin should ve usable everywhere – but it is just a sack of presents and holliday gifts, looks like backpacks you can craft with profesions
It’s a relic of he time when PvP and PvE had separate skins that could not be used in the other game modes. I have the one from PvE at first Wintersday it can be used anywhere now, the PvP reward one not so much.
