I’m honestly amazed that some people think that bannering the lord was good and ‘strategic’ mechanic.
Yeah, those 1-2 hour Garrison fights with 100-200 Lord resses were awesome weren’t they? Just reset the fight whenever you want to.
Thankfully, you can still hard ress, so fire up those Rune of Mercy thieves.
What do you think is more fun to have: a 2 hour garri fight with 100 lord resses, or a 0 minute fight where someone golem rushed your garri and you couldn’t get your full group there in time to defend?
Lazy change. Should have just made it only ressable once every 5 minutes or something. Not being resable at all just encourages more pvd and less fighting.
Also warriors weren’t the only ones who could res the lord with a skill, those other classes’ skills are now utterly uselses in every game mode now.

Map-wide voice chat integrated into the game would be terrible. Private voip servers offer much more in the way of features and control than any in-game system ever would.
For pve, get zerker gear. You can support your group just fine in zerker gear. Blind, aegis. reflect, protection, condition cleanse, stability, might, none of those scale with healing power.
I have done map completion 4 times.
I have 2 legendaries.
I have full ascended gear.
I have done every dungeon path.
I have done every fractal.
I have done every jumping puzzle.
I have done every guild mission.
I have unlocked every mastery in wvw.
I have done every living story season 2 achievement.
I have rerolled a new character and unlocked all the traits manually.
Anet, I know you don’t want a traditional MMO “end-game,” but I need something to do. Something to log on and work toward. Living story achievements that I can do in a few hours by myself or items in the gem store I equip once and forget about aren’t doing it for me.
I can’t even sit around lion’s arch anymore with the shiny stuff you expect me to buy on the gem store, because you made lion’s arch ugly and spread people out over 4 different areas.
I need something to do other than grind gold for items I don’t even really care about anymore. I need a long term goal.
how is down state “very discouraging for new players”? Wouldn’t it be more discuraging to die, have the mob heal up, and you have to pay money to wp back and try again?
I wish they would rework retaliation to do something different; it’s a really stupid boon in mass pvp and rewards people for stacking in a big blob by making the natural counter to grouping up (aoe) less effective than it already is.
Or you could turn off auto target and hotkey your skills properly.
I don’t understand how the change (unlock PS at lvl 10 -> BL key as reward) will make keyfarming harder, in fact, I believe it will make it easier. Roll a new character and use lvl up scroll or 9 tomes, then do the lvl 10 personal story instantly. You’ll be done in under 5 minutes. I have like 200 of those tomes in bank from all the PvPing. That’s a lot of keys.

If you could buy the skins for 250 gems or something I wouldn’t complain, but without the large amount of players farming keys, weapons skins will be absurdly expensive in gold, and you can’t buy them directly on the gem store. I refuse to pay for the chance at a skin, so it’s a good thing I like they ley line skins, cause I’m never getting another set of BLC skins.
Good enough, key farming is stupid, and obviously not something they wanted players to do.
hope you don’t enjoy weapon skins for 60 gold, because in a few months they will be 400g
I’ve heard in china you unlock the first story arc at level 10, so even if you do get a key you have to grind for 10 levels. So you could still technically farm keys, but it will be vastly less efficient.

guard staff spam is 600 range, so they have to move around to tag. eles/necros can just stand there.
Try maining something other than auto tagging guardian or warrior, and those complaining will quickly realise light armor classes get a lot less loot anyway, so there is no advantage gained, just less loss if we get more silk from our far fewer drops.
Uh, maybe you should try playing those other classes? Eles and necros get just as much loot, if not more because they don’t have to run around to spam a 600 range aoe.

Dungeons used to give tokens at every boss, they changed it so people wouldn’t just run the first boss over and over.
They could make it so the later bosses give you more tokens than the earlier ones, of course that won’t stop people running the first boss over and over but it would make it less profitable. This wouldn’t completely fix the kicking right before the end boss dies, but at least you get something even if you go straight after the first boss.
They already have a system in place where you can only claim a “big” chest once a day per path. (kholar in ac, the burrows.) if you do p1 twice before reset, those chest won’t show up for you..
Even if you only do as far as kholar p1, and restart, it won’t be there.
I know. But I should only get tokens for actually completing the dungeon, not killing the spider 3 times for 3 different paths. You don’t get pristine fractal relics for doing swamp and ascalon and quitting. You shouldn’t get tokens for doing half a dungeon.
You’re meant to be rewarded for completing the dungeon. In CoE for example, people could just kill the first alpha 3 times and get 20 tokens for each path instead of doing full runs as anet intended. Or I could solo the spider 3 times in ac and get fast tokens for each path.

People quit playing fort aspenwood because jade quarry gives better faction rewards. There was a time, long ago, where nobody played jade quarry at all. If you wanted to map the jade quarry for cartography completion, you had to get a group together for both teams to queue together so everyone could get inside and map complete. It was completely dead otherwise. Then at some point they buffed the rewards and people started playing jade quarry.
Id love an APP that tracks the HP of every member of your squad, With boons etc.

Some events are boring and give little reward, taidha is one of them. People AFK at things like modniir/megadestroyer, but other people are willing to do the pre events at those because they give loot and aren’t completely boring like running bombs at taidha or shooting the stupid wall at claw of jormag
Sorry, but my character didn’t earn squat. I paid to preorder the game, I made the characters, I earned the loot. Let me use it on any character I want, please.
I have full ascended gear. I can make a new character and level it up in days and play him. But why bother now? If this and whatever they give us next year is character bound, then I have zero reason to spend gems on new character slots, zero reason to spend money on bag slots for alts, zero reason to spend money on shiny cosmetics for them. If I want to be efficient, I will stick to the same character.

Why does my 2 year old ele deserve a birthday blaster and not my 1 month old one? I wouldn’t care if it were some cosmetic thing, but free, infinite +40 all stat and mf/karma/exp boost food isn’t cosmetic.
Key run characters will have a massive boost if it was account bound.
so scale the food like when a low level character eats a level 80 feast of food.
And in GW1 you could move the minipets they gave to ANOTHER character.
Birthday gifts are given to each character on the year of their creation date. Meaning every character on your account will eventually get one. Birthday gifts should not be account bound.
Learn to be patient.
This is a silly argument. None of the mini pets in gw1 were soul, or even account bound. In gw2, I can use the scrolls and boosters they give to level alts. I can even wear my “Veteran” title on new characters, so why can’t I use the blaster on them? The blaster is the only one that gives a permanent in-game advantage (free food with karma/mf/exp boost), so it should be account bound.

why would it be ridiculous? if you have a blaster, you already have effectively infinite food, you just have to refresh it every 10 minutes
Eles are “hugely viable” in wvw without meteornado cheese. I’d be perfectly happy if they simply made tornado useful on its own.
Cake is essentially a free, permanent karma, exp, and mf banner. I shouldn’t be stuck playing certain characters to get it.
Why give us more exp scrolls and not let us use the cake gun on new characters?
There is no way that tier 1 has enough guilds to fill 3, or even 2, tiers in a way that would satisfy said guilds.
Its simple. The wvw population has continued to drop to the point that it can only support 1 tier. So now everyone is consolidating into T1.
False, if guilds in t1 spread out we’ll have 6 or more servers having t2-t3 population we can have different matchups every week

The rest is RNG, and gold if you’re not lucky (achiev chests give you badges of honor, no need to play WvW)
You can buy legendaries on the tp, no map completion required.
This is the dumbest, greediest, most evil thing anet has managed to come up with. 300g for a color change for a feature that should have been in the game 2 years ago. Yeah, no thanks.
Don’t be a kitten to pve players just because anet neglects wvw. I go into wvw every day and I made a backpiece, too (which is now bugged)
The ITEM is account bound, not the tag.
They already nerfed arrow carts when they nerfed the bonus range from AC mastery. I believe that was what the quote you linked was referring to.
Even if you couldn’t fall of the edges, it would still be a terrible map in wvw during seasons or whenever people actually care to win. Whoever designed the map obviously didn’t know there were things called superior ACs in this game. Green keep has 3 floors of platforms to build a dozen ACs in, and blue keep has narrow walkways and bridges you have to go through.
If EoTM were adjusted to be more PvP-friendly and rewarding to tactical-play, and if all the farmers/trains were removed, would the result be large-scale PvP in EoTM, or would the result be an empty map?
Empty map. All the people who play wvw purely for the fights are busy fighting each other in real wvw and don’t want to play in the cramped, awful eotm landscape. All the people who play for capturing and defending points don’t want to play on an imbalanced map where there is zero incentive to capture and hold something.
