Think if some blobs would actually try something else than follow commander straight in overwhelming AoE.
Because wvw has no bridges or walls or tunnels or stairways or doorways, right?
Oh wait
I found most of the revs I saw on the ground
pvd meta > siege hump meta, you can’t hide in your precious towers now

I spend 90% of my time in this game in wvw and hell no I’m not paying 50 bucks for a pve expansion with no character slot.
ktrain is when 2 or 3 groups just ignore each other and cap objectives in a circle for champ bags and wxp, like in eotm
this is just population imbalance whine thread #101348
uh, its not a ktrain of 2 blobs are fighting over stuff, that’s called wvw
Images make things that much easier to understand… And everyone from PvE would have such an easy way to understand what they have to do. No more worrying about random upgrades or anything.. It’s just
“Escort yaks”…
“Great i can do that”..
“how many do i need to do? 7 more? great i’m on it!”And a new PvE’er is now apart of the WvW world with ease.
“do i get any reward for escorting yaks”
“no”
“well **** that then”
there, there’s a more realistic conversation
there is no dungeon in this game that you can’t do with 5 necros in the party, don’t join bad guilds with bad players
um, staff eles are fine, l2p
Even JQ doesn’t have enough asians willing to sit on siege in each enemy keep while they upgrade for 4 hours. Plus if you don’t cap them back they can’t ktrain them, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
It will suck a lot more for the lower tier servers for sure
I dont know why people are crying. I had multiple characters with both guard traits before both eotm and the account bound wvw ranks. They were never hard to get.
Delete every wvw trait for all I care, most of them are cancerous siege crap anyway
“worked hard to earn our wvw traits”
lol, ktraining so hard
welcome to the past 2 days
Please. GW2 has had the largest number of random patch kitten-ups I’ve ever seen in a AAA game
Like the time when they made the mesmer fall trait do 18k damage a tick in a patch that was not supposed to modify that trait in any way. Or the time that asura racial skill golem’s attacks were doing more damage than siege. Or when ranger’s pet passive was bugged for a month. Or when the guardian trait that makes shouts remove conditions was bugged to remove twice as many conditions for like half a year.
I’m sure people can think of more. They either suck at testing their patches, or they dont test them at all
“a speed?” A speed run?
If 4 people in your party are zerk and you are in clerics, you get the same loot? I’m struggling to figure out where “stealing” comes into play here
zerk meta is “stealing your loot”?
wtf am i reading
Match manipulation is a no-no.
Someone should tell Dods and TW this. They and their cohorts control who is in T1 and who isn’t by being on two of the servers and fixing the matches. It made me leave T1 because it’s no fun playing in a fixed game.
rofl
can’t press 3 buttons to kill someone in 1 second? must be imbalanced, op obviously has ninja skillz and should never lose a 1v1
killing uplevels with siege is lame, get some people together and go kill them the right way
The 30 toughness from infusions and bit of extra stats/armor from going to ascended from exotic isn’t going to make a noticeable difference.
I would only get it if you are rich and want the peace of mind that you are the tankiest possible warrior in the game.
You get some free nomad’s ascended trinkets for doing the living story achievements from the first 4 episodes of season 2 btw
There has been a team of sylvari snipers in one of the personal story arcs since launch, I wouldn’t read into that too much
Most people estimate it’s around 80. I’ve never seen anyone with more than 70ish on pin. Usually when people say its a “map blob” it’s 60 people on a pin, 5 people afk at spawn, 10 people running around doing whatever.
kind of surprising it took this long for people to start doing this. inb4 they nerf wvw loot because of this instead of just fixing os
wtb some kind okittennowledgement that they are aware of the issue at least
… poorly programmed forum censor strikes again
(edited by Blix.8021)
I do events in orr all the time, just put on a tag and people will join you to scale the events up and spam staff 1 for heavy moldy bags. Even without a tag people always show up for the temples
i wouldn’t count on them fixing it, will just have to deal with it for a day
Surprise surprise, Still no response from Anet even acknowledging this issue never mind fixing it.
Anet busy with HOT and couldn’t give a monkey’s about the WvW population.
Do you not read the “dev tracker” section of the forums? Obviously not, or you would know they have made several post on the matter.
How can you claim they are not posting about when you do not even know? Anet has added a “How to Address Lag” guide: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/91354558-How-to-Address-Lag . For example, but I gather, you do not know that either
I am with anyone who wants to be angry with good reason, for an extended issue. But I cannot support someone lying and claiming they are not talking about, when you haven’t looked.
I count at least 5 dev post on the specific matter since the issue started. So if you have lag, by all means, complain about it. But do not add lies to it as well. What level of intelligence to you have to be to think insulting the devs is going to get them to feel compelled to help you specifically?
And before you quote me and then proceed to call me out, Try to know what your talking about.
Are you suggesting you tried to use the solution offered there then?
Are you clueless or trolling? When an ENTIRE ZONE is complaining about the same type of lag, you think its each user’s fault, that people from a dozen different countries all the sudden have problems with their computers and ISP? Get real.
Better to have a bit of lag for a while than to have empty borderlands and no off peak hour gameplay a month after the hype goes down.
Feel free to transfer off
lol @ people still wearing defensive gear in pve in the year 2015
Food should be removed but it will never happen. The gold sink is too strong.
Buying something from other players is not a gold sink, unless you are counting the fees from the tp
WvW is the reason 99% of food is even produced, nobody cares about it in pve except for a few dungeon min maxers and the occasional person making magic find food.
What if they added better herb nodes in wvw, ones that had a chance to drop things like lemongrass used in popular food?

People are already ahead of you, price went up the day the patch came
even eotm is getting skill lag
…several 5-man teams trebbing from various locations, tactical siege play, a 10 man team ramming gate Y while another small team takes a necessary objective. For these smaller scaled fights, you should have enough stability stacks
Sadly it looks like this is the direction Anet wants to go. The uproar is because there are many guilds that patrol a map looking for enemies to battle. Because it’s fun to fight and test your mettle against opposing forces equal or larger in size, not utilizing siege play… just mano a mano. Not everyone enjoys the siege wars aspect. We all try to get what we like out of the game.
This is what I thought was the point of the change. You can break your zergs into smaller groups and take multiple objectives and have better smaller scale fights.
But why do that when you can run a 60+ zerg and karma train the map.
Or, you break your zerg into smaller groups and have to constantly run away from 60+ because you have no real way to beat them. Or they ignore you and you pve a tower, such fun.
Sup flame rams are cheaper and require less coordination. If you’re really getting night capped (as in no one is defending) then I don’t see why using omegas vs rams would make a difference
because someone posted an exploit about how to duplicate infinite golems
You can’t reflect siege with any player reflects, only the catapult mastery bubble or the omega golem bubble. You can’t reflect arrow carts with anything, they aren’t projectiles.
I think that ranger can be a really good choice for a front liner now. Not because of the bow as everyone here is saying but in another variation.
A friend of mine is running a clerical GS/sword-wh bunker ranger in pvp, and that works very well. I can see it being a good front liner too:
- Easy access to AoE swiftness
- AoE cleanse, low CD, large water field that scales with cleric.
- Good melee damage (GS)
- Good gap closers, and the sword gap closer EVADES. That’s huge.
- Rampage as one and the pulsing stab
Why isn’t this a thing?
Just because you can survive the frontline, doesn’t mean you are doing anything useful there. A cleric ranger does no damage and no cc. Eles already give water fields and everyone has perma swiftness from warrior horns and guard symbols.
They can’t balance the game based on outnumbered servers when it makes balance matchups terrible. ACs are cancer.
The melee trains dictated the pace of the combat and made pushes happen. When everyone gets tired of playing melee because it’s not only more difficult, but less rewarding, then we will have fights where nobody wants to push because they know whoever pushes into the well bomb will just lose. We basically had that before, but at least it was beatable.
Some of you people seem to think the melee trains were brainless, but what is really brainless is afking behind a door waiting to drop your necro wells and meteor showers on the poor sods pushing in.
As I think you should be able to. It makes sense and will feel more realistic. If you aim an arrow cart one way and hit fire its should fire regardless of if you can “see the location.”
shooting arrows through a wall is so realistic
No, but arcing over is. Of course to work properly you would need to change the arc which affects the distance etc – not worth the time.
I think the real answer was to make it an even playing field so you didn’t need to run in windowed mode super stretched like some do. What interests me more – is a super size Norn more advantageous than a tiny asura for these things….
if they made ac’s have to actually follow a trajectory like the other siege that would be amazing

Anyone who thinks this map will break up zergs is wrong. They made it easier to defend. That means it requires more players to break a tower. That means zergs. Either it will end up like eotm where the keeps are so ridiculously easy to defend with siege that nobody bothers to fight at all, or it will be like the current BLs.
Either way, zergs.
I’ve kind of figured out how some of this works, and being on TC, is seems to come down to whoever has the biggest blob. Playing a frontliner I frequently die and it can be hard to link up with friends. I spend more time walking instead of fighting.
Is this a troll? You’re in tier 1, we all have blobs. Get a better build, learn to dodge and use your invulnerabilities like everyone else.
My prediction:
It will be even harder to push into towers against siege humping enemies now because you won’t be able to chain stab as effectively through the push. One cata or treb shot could strip a stack of stab from an entire zerg. One line of warding, ring of warding, static field, spectral wall, etc. You get the idea.
This means more time setting up trebs to counter siege and therefore more time afking in the field instead of fighting. That also means there is even more incentive to PvD an undefended structure instead of sieging a defended one.
OP is clueless. They have effectively nerfed power dps builds twice already, once when they changed how crit damage worked and again when they nerfed might. The builds he’s crying about are actually worse now than whenever he quit.
Anet ignores wvw for 2+ years (except for when they decide to do something awful to it like arrow cart mastery) and then they expect us to believe that a guy with next to no wvw experience is going to somehow communicate to them and get things fixed?
The problem isn’t that they don’t know what’s wrong with wvw, it’s that they don’t care and don’t want to spend the time or resources to do anything about it
“forum specialist,” what a joke
The eotm map sucks. If you had eotm in the rotation during a season when people actually cared about winning it would become superior arrow cart hell and it would be beyond cancerous.
