Right now, there are 4 t2 servers. One of you is going to get plopped into T3. So, we’ll get to see one of these requests every week.

The way Glicko is being used means it is not moving fast enough to account for massive population swings we see from week to week.

I also agree with Jahje, I don’t mind getting destroyed week to week, but at least make it a new face doing it. Watching the same blob run over our BL night after night (well, night for me) gets tedious. It get to be enough to log off and go do something else. I can’t imagine Anet likes it when they bore people out of their game.

Edit: As an aside, I’m at a loss as to any reasons you could have for being unable/unwilling to download, run, and listen on teamspeak short of your parents blocking VoIP programs on your router or something like that.

FWIW: TS has become a minefield of self centered braggarts and f-bomb droppers more frequently than not. Its tedious to listen to so I don’t often do it.

Another reason is an obvious one, deafness like my nephew has to deal with.

There are active internal discussions pertain to issues that could impact RMT spam. We are always attempting to make the experience for our players better. Suggestions like a client side chat filter or a friend only whisper option only tackle the surface of the problem as players would have to enable those options. By doing so, they would become less social with the rest of the community and that’s not what GW2 is about. I understand that may be what some want, but I’d rather spend developer time fixing the core issues than adding surface filters.

Judge what you want to work on however you like, however, I would submit that a client side filter would not alter the social level anyone (anecdotal evidence is anecdotal). We can already turn off entire chats, why not parts of them?

Add this feature. Its long overdue.

After a decade of GW1 + GW2 and the RMTs have found a way to circumvent whatever restriction are put in place. At least let your players take care of themselves as best we can.

The DBL is the same piece of junk it was when it was released. Their updates amounted to little more than perfume on a dung heap. My first preference is to scout/roam around the home bl, but for this week, its EB or one of the opponents borderlands. To those people who like the DBL, have fun.

:shrugs: I refuse to do things to earn gold in the game. Just playing the things I want (with the occasional required content for whatever trinket I want to get next) is good enough for me. Setting a schedule to farm in game currency is ludicrous to me.

The HoT legendaries were both more expensive (overall) and more time consuming than the ‘older’ ones. But, other than the crafting of silly amounts of mats, Astralaria was generally a fun scavenger hunt.

Lets not kill them all off. I prefer they’re availability for various menu items for the foreseeable future.

It would be really peculiar to have a guild with members on worlds that are matched with each other to hop between servers to take Bay on server 1, then retake it on server 2 and then again on server 3. The train would be massive.

I’m not going to post a long worded text, but suffice to say I could find little to no agreement with any of the OPs suggestions in their implementation. The spirit is intriguing but the details would only cause further harm to the game.

The mursatt hid from the elder dragons last time they were around. Seems as though one mursatt would have thought to absorb the bloodstone last time they were around if they thought they could take on an elder dragon. But, the writers tend to overlook or ignore GW lore and history whenever they struggle for a plot device.

Its Rytlock’s fault. He monkeyed with something in the mysts to get his magic and now those spirits are looking to find him and get it back.

Those condi mesmers give me fits. Other than that, like Illconcieved said, its more about the player then the class and build.

Having players around you have fun with makes the overwhelming wins & loses seem inconsequential (because they are).

As for our SF and DH opponents. Being outnumbered is a pain, we know all to well. Hang in there, it won’t last. Keep being tenacious like this SF ele a couple nights ago that kept coming to SW camp to charge into two of us standing in there. It just kept getting melted over and over again. He/she did this for over an hour. It was surreal.

It was the best of that crappy list of options they gave us. Here, eat this crap sandwich, rancid burger or spoiled cheese. Thanks for letting us pick!

Yeah, its an exaggeration, but the cliche heavy writing style (Taimi IS Wesley Crusher) permeates the LS so far.

Just walked by Ogre Road Waypoint in Fields of Ruin and some sort of ghost/apparition popped up for a few seconds and was gone.

Anyone else seen this around?

GIVE US USER CONTROLLED CHAT FILTERS!! We can react faster to the chat spam and filter it for ourselves. Having to rely on the report/block does not prevent the spam from inundating us. It takes time for the reports to be acted on and it only removes the player/account doing it, it doesn’t stop the same message from popping up from another three minutes later that we then have to wait for the reporting to be acted on.

Give us our own filter.

Maybe, one day, they’ll have a system in place where they can mix the linking a whole lot faster than once ever three months and get these balanced out better again. Instead, they’ll artificially inflate a server and send the server that came out ahead in T3 down for a couple weeks.

Based on the whine level from CD reached sufficient volume that Anet pulled them out of T4, its now SBI’s turn to create a ruckus.

A few days ago I said they should have rotated SoS and then YB through T4 for the next two weeks so no single T3 level pairing had to sit in a tier they don’t belong. But, why do something that makes sense – right Anet?

The NPE was a miserable change IMHO but there have been quite a few QOL changes that were well worth it. The wallet, wardrobe and shared slots being high among them. If they ever get a build template system in place, I’d call it the biggest win yet.

LFG also contain messages. Filter applies there too.

Its not something that will catch everything, but at least eliminating the general chat and whisper spam would be of immense value (to me anyway).

Sadly, its a 4 server group trying to fit into a 3 server hole.

Instead of doing the adding 200 to CD, just rotate down a different server each week. Send YB next and then SoS. In either case, the other T4 teams are in for a rough ride.

Any server can be bandwagonned up the charts.

I suppose a fake sport is as good a reference for our fake characters in a imaginary game mode.

Removing servers does not fix the problem of people bandwagonning between servers. It just reduces the number they can go to.

I also disagree with your premise that pairing has failed.

We got a small map and that’s a nice addition. We have a new story getting underway and that’s nice. I’m not sure I can say I’m delighted, but it met the mediocre expectations I had set for it.

All in all, its better than most of their LS releases.

Assuming you have an upgraded guild hall, you can do your gvg thing there.

Otherwise, its player managed face offs in WvW for the foreseeable future.

I disagree with your premise that players don’t care about winning. Bandwagons happen for a lot of reasons and ‘winning’ is certainly among them.

But, no, I don’t want factions and I don’t want Anet spending valuable developer time on it.

The downed state is good for two reasons. Its a cool mechanic that makes GW2 stand apart from other combat systems, and it generates income for Anet when they sell finishers.

They get to have a cool tag when they claim an objective. Other than that, its a guild claim like any other. There is no favoritism being shown. Claiming so is a fallacy.

I know we tried to get it a few times, but YB is good at defending their stuff.

Eh, expectations are low and given their track record, I’m sure its well placed.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy they’re putting some new stuff out, but they have a whole lot of misses for the few hits they’ve had.

I guess there is always a chance they could pull the whole ‘no new legendary’ about face and abandon the DBL.

If you can wait a few months (maybe several) as they get closer to the next expansion, I’d wager they’ll put out the $10 dollar deal.

I’m a big fan of the ‘delete’ feature for the piles of materials that I’ll never use.
