Lower lvl dungeons are much easier to do now because of the ferocity downscaling changes and the NPE changes to new players. Since new players now have no traits while leveling the mobs got tuned down to match then, and the change to downscaling in crit damage made lvl 80 players hit for much more when in lower lvl zones like the AC dungeon.

So mobs in these dungeons are weaker and players do much more damage to then.

On the first time he got hacked Anet did a rollback on his account to restore all his gold and stuff, and it is anet’s policy to do the rollback only once for an account, so this time he will have to lvl up and farm all over again for the stuff that he lost for the hackers, he shouldn’t get special treatment just because he is a famous youtuber.

He said in the video that it was his email that got hacked first and the hacker deleted the mail with the gw2 serial code, so it’s not anet’s fault that he keeps getting hacked over and over again.

I think the legendary loot he is getting is the bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments. OP, you should just delete those mats if you are hoarding too much of then, they just drop too much even though they are a high tier crafting mat, you dont need to hoard then.

What’s with this stability change? Seen some posts on it but I’m simply unwilling to watch long youtube videos of devs talking about stuff I mainly don’t care about.

From what i understand we won’t get continuous stability anymore, but it will come in stacks. For example if you get 1 stack of stability you can avoid just 1 knockback, so after the changes a group can coordinate cc to take down an oponent that has stability.

As a warrior you dont have to think too much about what to bring on each dungeon, just bring your banners and you are good (and the proper potions and food). Bring a warhorn to help your teammates on skipping parts and to blast some field if they ask for it. Playing warrior is not like guardian where people expect you to know what to bring on each encounter, for example pugs want you to use staff on the vines in TA, cond cleanse on the first boss in SE p3, reflects, blinds etc.

Warrior just needs to press 2 and you’re good.

What’s the problem with people selling spots in dungeons?

I think scepter is even more awkward to use at lower lvls, the fire auto atack sucks.

Eles should start with staff imo, just like rangers now start with longbow.

From what i heard rune of the ranger works with mesmer clones and necro minions too, and they also work with minis. And if you are a ranger they work even if your pet is dead.

About ascended weapons, Wethospu discovered that when you are downscaled ascended weapons have the same weapon strength as exotic weapons, so if for example you have an ascended axe with force and an exotic with night the exotic one will be better in lower lvl dungeons like AC.
But about your question about strength sigil i dont know the answer, but i guess night on an exotic is better than strenght on an ascended.

The female light armor from arah also has a void that cuts the character’s legs.

You will need to use different gear sets for each part of the dungeon. Like if you solo arah p3 you might need clerics gear for the corrosive light puzzle.

Yeah, and i think all the dredge power suit mobs are susceptible to blind, even the ones in open world.

You can preview all armor skins avaliable in the game, even if you dont have then unlocked. Just go to the bank, then click on the wardrobe tab, then select medium armor, in there you can see all the armors skins and look at what kind of look you will want for you character when you reach lvl 80. Before you reach lvl 80 you will have to keep running around in ugly armor unless you have any outfit.

If we dont get new dungeons on the xpac i think anet will change TA a bit, since sylvari theme and stuff. Maybe they will recycle the TAkittenpath but change the story to make sense with the Mordremoth events going on.

I used to play on a laptop that could handle gw2 on medium settings, but i had to stop because it started to overheat a lot, even with cooling pad and changing the fan didnt help. So i think keeping an eye on the cpu temperature for laptop is more important than the minimum system requirements for gaming.

Did you get the opportunity to talk to the devs? If you did did you or anyone there asked then about new dungeons? They talked about gvg and wvw and gliders but they didnt talk about dungeons. I would like to know if new dungeons is still on the table.

Looks like ESO is going to be Buy2Play after it releases on consoles. Maybe they are announcing that now because of the gw2 xpac announcement?

Norn guardian is a problem only if you make a female one. The female norn voice actor did a bad job on the guardian’s shouts, so it is really awful to hear a female norn guardian shouting “Stand your ground” and other things.

Oh, and there was a mith in the past where people believed that norn guardians do less damage than humans on whirling wrath, but that is maybe because the norn’s character model is larger so its harder to position then perfectly inside a mob’kittenbox.

You can give the spare ring and acessory to an alt, since ascended stuff is all account bound.

Jab, are you sure you aren’t being kicked because of bad atittude? 2.9k ap is not low, and guild names are not really important for pugs. And you say you are a new player, and also say that you are more casual, for a new casual player you have already acomplished a lot in the game by having already done all dungeon paths.

And in all your posts you say that gw2 community is toxic, that you want to quit the game, for me these kind of attention seeking posts just make it more clear that you are not an easy person to deal with in group activities. Just my thoughts…

I see people getting kicked a lot in pugs that i join for being necros or rangers and having low ap. Most of the time the lfg add doesnt have any class requirement, but still pugs kick any ranger that joins. I used to see that happen more often in AC back when people used to stack on spider queen. If the group wiped there usually it was the low ap necro or ranger that got the blame and was kicked.

The game is basically the same as it was one year ago. If you didnt like the game at that time you still wont like it the way it is now. There is this NPE change (new player experience), but its not as horrible as people make it look like.

The playerbase is going well appearently, there were some surveys showing that gw2 is one of the most popular mmos, losing only to WoW and FFXIV, but i think those surveys applied only to the western market. At least GW2 didnt “fail” like other AAA mmos like wildstar and archeage.

I think the word to define the state of the game right now would be stagnate.

Dungeons have always been content for lvl 80s. When i started playing i was only doing story mode dungeons on my first character until i got to lvl 80 and kept doing other stuff to lvl up. If you join a dungeon group on a low lvl character you are basically being carried. Now with the changes to traits and stats to new characters it is even worse.

If you want to lvl up your alt in dungeons just switch characters when the last boss is almost dead, that way you will be more useful and will stop leeching, or keep pugging with your alt but dont expect that full lvl 80 groups welcome you with open arms, run then with other lowbies too ^^

I think arah story got nerfed at some point. I remember when i did it 2 years ago and my group got destroyed by that mouth boss, we couldn’t even kill those hammer mobs that stay near one of those towers that we need to break, they had too much hp and damage, and sometimes they would agro on us during the boss fight. I ended up having to use the cannons from the ship to shoot on the mouth boss. I’m not sure if it was because i was too bad or the dungeon was harder.

You should use the meta buids from the links creepmatic posted. If you still need more survivability you can mix some soldier pieces of armor with the zerk stuff until you get more comfortable with going full zerk. But honestly, i think using defensive gear gives just a placebo effect, if someone goes to your account and change all your character’s defensive armor to zerk without telling you you wont notice the difference in survivability.

I recommend using superior runes of flame legion, they are very cheap and work well on guardian, so you dont have to spend almost 40g on scholar runes.

The 6\5\0\0\3 meta build is fine for silverwastes. Go GS and S+warhorn for mobility. The more dps you have the better will be your survivability, its easier to rally and stuff.

The earth elemental mobs usually are capable of reflecting projectiles, so you dont use ranged weapons against then or else you will be killing yourself.

I bought that griffon mail carrier. It looks pretty cool, but the problem is that the mail box or the trade post take almost all the screen space, so you can’t really see the griffon most of the time when you send mails or sell stuff on tp.

This is one example of an invisible bag, you can buy then from the trade post or craft (armorsmith, tailor and leatherworking can craft bags), but i think you cant access the trade post at lower lvls, you will have to lvl up a bit to unlock that feature.

If you mean those early weapons that you get at lvl 1 and other quest reward items then you cant sell those, your only option is to delete then.

I know its wrong to try to victim-blaming, but really, are you sure you’re not helping creating these kind of animosity on your groups? I agree that you have the right to play with like-minded individuals who share the same interests as yours, but sometimes you may sound to your groupmates as kitten, i dont know.

I’ve pugged with some forumers that i see sometimes complaining about pugs, there was this one on a cm run that kept doing “passive-agressive” comments to the groups mates, like “hey special snowflake, stack!” “dont use wall of reflection until i use mine” “sigh…”, that just kept buiding a bad atmosphere on the group that he ended up being kicked, but he was with a friend in the group who invited him back, when he joined back i left because i was the one who seconded the kick.

So, i don’t know, sometimes if you are doing a quick run you dont need to act like an kitten to the group, if you are unhappy with their scrubness just leave or keep it to yourself until the run is over, it will only cost you 5 minutes most of the time.

Its like… if I for example when i join pugs for arah runs and in the group we have a member from a known speedrun guild, if i see the guy dying at Lupicus i will not act like “HAHAHAH noob cant stay alive on lupicus!”, i will have some respect and not try to be a try-hard kitten.

Asking for berserker gear for dungeons is not really discriminatory, anyone can buy a set of exotic gear or buy it with karma or wvw or dungeon tokens. And if you take dungeon runs seriously you should know that berserker builds are by far the best option for dungeons, anything different than that will just slow down your team and make you actually contribute less to the group.

Unscathed Contender only gives the 20% damage buff to yourself and not to allies, it would be too OP if it did give the damage modifier to everyone in the group.

I remind you that you have been playing for nearly two years, and that the ‘lack of content’ is not a lack of content, its that you have finished the content.

There is more than enough content here to justify the price tag.

Shall I remind you, MMO: M = Massively(no where does it say the world needs to be gargantuan, just massive, I’d say Tyria qualifies), Multiplayer-check, Online-check…looks like GW2 matches that pretty well.

I agree with Goose, gw2 is a great online game but i’m not sure if it can be called an mmo. GW2 lacks longevity, progression, it just doesnt hold the players after certain amount of time played, while regular mmos can give thousands of hours of replayability. I really hope anet is preparing something big for the beginning of next year, because another year of just living story will not hold the veteran players.

You could use force+night sigils on your greatsword, since they do stack together. But one player recently discovered that ascended weapons when downscaled get the same weapon strenght as exotic weapons, so in lower lvl dungeons ascended and exotic weapons have pretty much the same dps. So if you put force+night the only dungeon that will benefit from the full damage of your gs will be CoE.

On my ascended gs i use force+slaying sigils, and i keep a few superior sigils of undead slaying, outlaw slaying etc on my bag so i reapply then on my gs if i run these dungeons. Most of these slaying sigils cost only 2s, only the undead slaying one is kinda expensive, but i just place buy orders on then so i can pay only 3s tops.

About the infusion slots, you can put agony infusion slots, which you use for higher lvl fractals, or you can put the wvw offensive infusions, on my gs i use the wvw mighty infusion http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mighty_WvW_Infusion

I saw that wildstar failed but i still dont understand why that happened. I think maybe its because players nowadays want hardcore content but they were too lazy to keep farming atunements, so they want the hardcore aspect from the old WoW days but they dont like the hardcore grind.

Last time SAB was up i saw a lot of complains of the forums about people having motion sickness or something like that while playing SAB, so i think they removed it because of health hazards. I wonder if SAB could inflict the same effects as that pokemon episode that made thousands of children get convulsion.

There is a npc in Fields of Ruin that stays near the tp that always stalks my female warrior around and keeps shouting “hey i need your help”, that guy is creepy.

For me to avoid that bug while i’m fighting lupicus i just press and keep holding the skill #5 key until i’m sure it worked, but yes, its very annoying. With shield that bug never happens, i dont know if engineers suffer from that bug too when they use shield or the wrench.

My favorite was the champion giant in Diesa Plateau. It was there that i learned how to dodge, but now with the megaserver you cant solo him anymore. I believe there is another champion giant with lots more hp but i forgot what map he is, he is in a cave, maybe he is in harathi hinterlands?

The karkas are too easy for thief, you just spam pistol whip and they are dead.

FYI, if making them for PVE save you Crests and don’t buy the Inscription recipe. Giver’s weapons are infinitely better dps in pve than Sinister in a condi build. use crests on armor and trinket recipes.

Giver’s weapons are better than sinister even for warrior? Because warrior can get 100% bleed duration without then, but not burning. Right now i’m using sinister swords and giver’s longbow on my warrior, but on eng i’m using giver’s weapons.

I think necros can get more than 100% bleed duration becaused of traited bleeding and scepter and food.

We only have weapons and armor with sinister stats avaliable right? There are no sinister trinkets avaliable to get for pve?
