Happy Festivus.
Been playing GW since 2006. GW Factions was my first MMO ever.
I’ve stuck with GW because of the great customer service, constant communication with the players, and how they change things based on player feedback. Of course we can’t expect to get everything we ask for but Anet has made compromises on many occasions, add new features requested, improve drop rates on some things, etc.
Edit: And they have a great bunch of people working for them.
Yeah. The Wintersday vendors can see your ugly socks and stuff in your bank also.
I too would like to thank ArenaNet for this improvement.
His location changes each day. I believe he is in Divinity’s Reach today near the Commons Court waypoint.
Hopefully this can help track his whereabouts. It shows where he is on what days, though I have no idea if there are any other places he locates to other than what is listed on the wiki. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sous-Chef_Seimur_Oxbone#Locations
You can only complete Warming Grawnk’s Heart once per account. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warming_Grawnk%27s_Heart
Festivus for the rest of us.
Need a new mini pet: Pet Rock. Thank you for your time.
Those items you get from the Star and Mawdrey II can all be sold to the merchant, even if they’re identical to heart merchant items. I had a couple of them yesterday and was a little miffed, but when I talked to a merchant to click “sell junk” they popped up in the window as well. And yes, I could sell them.
In other words, what you get from Mawdrey II and the Star of Gratitude is a separate item from what you would get from the heart merchants, even if the icon, stat bonuses, and text box are all identical.
Not in my case. The Pet Rock trinket it gave me had no coin value and didn’t show up in a vendor window to sell. It was exactly the same as the one you buy for karma from the renowned heart vendor.
It is kinda funny I got such a crappy item. What would be even funnier is if ArenaNet actually came out with a pet rock mini pet. xD
The first day I used the Star of Gratitude after getting it I got 1 or 2 rare weapons. Haven’t received any rare or better items since.
Today……..today it gave me a pet rock. I’m dead serious. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pet_Rock
I’ve only used the Star on my level 80 ranger and also opened the gifts only with her. And the stupid thing gave me a level 28 renowned heart karma merchant item that can’t be salvaged or sold to a merchant. I though it was a Brittle Clump of Ore since they have the exact same icon but it was actually a trinket. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Brittle_Clump_of_Ore
I just hope the stupid thing is house broken.

Just chiming in. You can’t talk to the Toypocalypse NPC standing next to the portal (he is a toy soldier) to have it send you in. You can’t even ‘greet’ him. The only way to enter is by going into the portal so I’m stuck having to leave the map twice while sitting for a couple minutes waiting for it to load. It usually takes around 30 seconds to load into a map. So that’s about 30 seconds on Divinity’s Reach load screen then another 30 seconds on the Toypocalypse, then another 30 on Divinity’s Reach before I’m finally out of the Toypocalypse map (approximate times since I never actually timed it).

As Charrbeque.8729 mentioned in his post, several sounds have been missing since an update, including the sounds the Princess Doll makes. The Princess Doll no longer does her scream when running or jumping. My friend and I both loved this sound because we found it cute. My friend loved it because she’s a mom, and I love it just because it is cute…enough said =D. Also, there’s nothing more terrifying than a group of cute little princesses running at you while screaming. =D So please fix this. =) Thank You.
Bonus: Princess Doll fun

You mean this? https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/archive/audio/Bug-Mini-Chickenado-missing-sounds/first#post4581453
Yeah. Still waiting for my mini chickenado to cluck again. It’s been about a month since Anet responded in that thread saying the problem was fixed internally.
It’s possible the missing sound issue could be a big problem just taking a while to fix. Other notable issues that were fixed but took a while: the pirate ghost’s voiceover throughout the Sharkmaw Caverns jumping puzzle in Lion’s Arch, the special sound effect from the slingshot shortbow skin, salvage-o-matics, etc.
Don’t know about the mini princess doll screams. I’ve only had it since it went into the gem shop a couple weeks ago. It does seem as though there are still sound files throughout the game missing and/or broken though I can’t remember anything specifically.
I had this bug a few times and it does reset when I exit/re-enter the mini game.
BUT since day one I have another stupid bug – the Note 6 is not playable on the keyboard, it is blackened out, no number 6. All the other notes are playing ok, number 6 no. I can click it with the mouse pointer but since I am using the numbers for the rest, it is just impossible to arrange and get it on time to play no 6. Reported the bug but nothing. Terrible annoying.
Just a thought: check your keybindings. Did that key somehow get assigned to something else?
reading the article says “On Tuesday, the festivities continue!” to me this says on Tuesday the items will appear in the gem store.
Yeahhhhh my reading comprehension isn’t very good. I just realized that LoL. OOPS!
No biggie. New stuff usually goes in the gem shop at 12am Pacific time zone where I live so just gotta wait several hours because I’m a night owl. Hooot!
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/this-week-in-the-gem-store-shoulder-scarf-new-minis-and-more/
Says they are available “this week” but I’m not seeing them in the gem store anywhere.
Usually new stuff is added to the gem store on Tuesdays from what I’ve noticed. Perhaps your announcement was premature?
I am disappoint. Been waiting to get an r-Tron gathering scythe (Reap-r-Tron) for a while to complete my collection since I have the Mine-r-Tron and Log-r-Tron. And I love me some minis.
It’s too specific, and in my case, too time consuming.
Go to a specific map (such as Iron Marches or Bloodtide Coast) and complete 4 events. It’s quick because the map has a ton of players doing the events right? Wrong! It takes me about 2 hours. Why? Because I haven’t explored the map much if at all. People ping waypoints in zone chat that happen to be clear across the map and I haven’t unlocked any waypoints anywhere near that location. So I’m left with having to run across the map on foot and by the time I get to the event it had ended a few minutes ago. It ends up becoming a “right place, right time” scenario for me. So I’m left with running around gathering from nodes in hopes of being lucky enough to come across an event right when it starts.
I don’t like the idea of world bosses/events that are on specific timers as part of the daily. I log in and find out the event completed 20 minutes ago and it’s not due to return for another hour and a half at least.
PvP dailies are way way too specific. I’m not a PvP player. Far from it. But at least one day since the changes rolled it the PvP daily had 2 “win a match as X profession”. Seriously? Not everybody players those professions. So I imagine there were at least some PvP players who didn’t get their daily PvP achievements done that day because they don’t have either of the professions required that day.
It really does take away player choice by forcing us into specific content. Before we could work on getting 100% completion for a single map and have our daily done that way or we could go to WvW and get our daily done doing the same exact achievements. You could probably have gone to PvP and also get your daily done by completing the non-specific dailies on top of your PvP dailies.
Now if you want to do any more dailies past the 3 needed you have to play game modes you may not care to do. And even then you get no more achievement points. All you get is a chest with random crap inside that may or may not be useful to you.
So for the day 2 log in bonus I got a ‘Bag of Laurels’. The tooltip for the item says “Double-click to open. Contains 1 Laurel.”.
“LaurelS” is plural meaning more than 1. The bag gave me a single Laurel as was stated in the tooltip and nothing else. And why do I have to get a bag in my inventory that gives me nothing but 1 Laurel anyway? Why can’t it just go straight into my Laurel total? It’s a waste to force me to have to open a bag for a single Laurel. If it gave me another item or something then I can understand it.
I would really love to get a mini snowman, and the festive golem, etc. But no way in hell would I spend gems on a box that has a small chance to give them to me. I’d prefer to buy them strait from the gem shop at set prices, or set price if they make it so the snowman, festive golem, and Infinirarium are a 3 pack and you can toss them in the mystic forge to get a mini festoovoo. Of course this would mean I would need to buy 2 packs (or 2 of each) mini so I could have all 4. Again, no way would I buy a bunch of boxes from the gem shop that have a chance to either give me minis I already have or no minis at all. (It would be pointless to wind up with say, 5 or 10 mini snowmen since according to the wiki all of these minis were account bound meaning they cant be traded.)
(edited by Charrbeque.8729)
Here you go. When you log in the first time during Wintersday you get mail http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Orphan_Laine%27s_Letter
You need to complete this event http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warming_Grawnk%27s_Heart
Go to your home instance and find the orphans standing next to a grawl. Talk to the grawl. Then go to the Sous-Chef in Black Citadel near the Mustering Ground waypoint (There is a peppermint candy icon on the mini map and large map showing his location). Buy a Bowl of Bloodstone Broth for 1 Tiny Snowflake (if you don’t have the snowflake yet you can buy 1 in the TP for cheap). Go back to your race’s home instance and give the food to the Grawl. Here is the tricky part: you can only give him 1 food item per day so you’ll have to wait, probably the next day’s reset. Second day you trade the Sous-Chef a Shiny Frying Pan (masterwork quality) for another food item. You get the Shiny Frying Pan from the renowned heart vendor here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sentry_Triktiki. For the third day you trade the Sous-Chef a Superior Sigil of Mischief which you can buy from the TP for around 1 silver.
After you give the Grawl the 3 food items (takes 3 days) you get http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Orphan%27s_Generous_Gift which gives you a Wintersday Gift Tree for your home instance and a “special star item”.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Star_of_Gratitude says it comes from ’Orphan’s Generous Gift’. However, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warming_Grawnk%27s_Heart says the reward is a Generosity’s Reward that contains the Wintersday Gift Tree and something called a “Slate-Bound Star”. I think the ‘Warming Grawnk’s Heart’ page is inaccurate on the reward.
From what I can tell you get the “special star item” after completing the ‘Warming Grawnk’s Heart’ mission.

It was intentional by the game designers to keep PvP and activities stabilized. It wasn’t to make the game less fun. From the sounds of things the devs had no choice in the matter because the code used for Toypocalypse is the same code used for PvP (which is a permanent part of the game). If they didn’t remove the party join feature for Toypocalypse, PvP would be unstable. So either way players would have complained. Catch 22. :P

Keep in mind there were major changes to PvP recently. So blame them for making PvP more interesting.

Hi,
I hope I’m posting this in the right place….if not, I’m sorry.
I just rolled an elementalist and what I’m seeing is that everytime I am downed with low health, my bar disappears. I’ve reported it but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with their toons before or if it was specific to me/my account. I also disappear in the action. I’m attaching a pic so you can see what I mean.
It’s Vapor Form for sure. I can see the icon above skill #6 in your screenshot.
Using the LFG tool to sell anything is a violation of the rules. If you see people do this right click them in the LFG and report for abusing the LFG feature (it’s actually an option in the report feature).
Living story achievements can only be earned once each per account. I wouldn’t recommend “selling” the achievements to other players as that may be a violation of the rules. At the very least it is a grey market. Those selling the achievements in the LFG tool could very well be scamming players.
Can we please have real smilies to select when posting comments? I only know the text equivalent for a few of them.
Open inventory and click the gear icon in the top right. Among the list to deposit materials to bank and hide/show your bags is an option to turn it it on and off.
Can we please be allowed to have forum avatar pics next to our usernames like every other forum out there?
It would make it easing when quickly scrolling down a long list of posts when you’re trying to find posts made by a particular player, for example. All you see is red text. If we had avatars you could easily and quickly spot your friend or someone you like based on an image. Lots of other MMO forums do this. I don’t understand why ArenaNet is so restrictive.
It would also give us a sense of individuality and expression. Of course avatars would be subject to the rules against anything obscene or offensive.
ctrl + f
Avatars require extra moderation and would probably effect forum load times slightly.
They could give us a rather large set of pre-made avatars to choose from. Or even better our in-game avatars
I don’t know about in-game avatars, but I would settle for premade avatars created by Anet that are based on logos and/or artwork of the GW franchise. At least this way we could select from at least a few images to be displayed with our names without anyone worrying about having to report nasty pics some people think are funny. To be honest the forums are rather bland. Not much imagery or artwork when looking at threads. All I see is black and white and read all over (seriously I didn’t get that joke until I was 30).
I have a feeling that if avatars were possible with this forum software, we’d have them.
Just sayin’.
You could say the same thing about the search function :P
LoL so true! We do have a search function but it doesn’t work worth a [redacted]. xD
Avatars not needed – let’s get our kitten priorities right!!!
You could say the same thing about the new endless tonics and minis from the Silverwastes. Nobody needs them but Anet made them when they could have given us more content instead. But some of us find them fun, and I believe some of us would find avatars on the forums fun. And all of us would enjoy a working search feature, with advanced options to search by thread title, keywords, searching in specific subforums, search by player name, etc. Just my 2 copper anyway.
Can we please be allowed to have forum avatar pics next to our usernames like every other forum out there?

Where are we supposed to post regarding dungeons, fractals and other non living story related PvE? General discussion already fills with threads at an alarming rate.
Guild Wars 2 Discussion is correct. With many developers involved in multiple projects, it’s helpful for them to have a main forum to check for input, suggestions, and questions.
Should posts about general profession balance, that are not tied to one specific profession only, go into General Discussion?
Guild Wars 2 Discussion, yes.
I maybe reading this wrong, and if I am then ill apologise in advance, but the way im reading it is, you are rolling
•Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
All into the same section like you did with suggestions in general chat, if so, how well did that work out, basically to me this reads as, don’t bother posting your bugs we wont be looking anyway, you seem to be the only Dev/Mod that reads these forums anyway, there are bugs reported in that bugs section months ago that are still ingame today, and you want to consolidate them all into 1 section, just remove the bugs section completely.
I understand what you’ve said, but if you think about it, there are not that many forum or website bugs. So having them in the Bugs Sub-Forum is just a way to consolidate all bugs, since we have someone dedicated to reviewing the Bugs Forum and they can route concerns about the website or the forums to the proper people, while filing bug reports for game issues.
Are there any plans to update the forum framework, or simply reorganise the forum sections? I hate how bland it is here, and how many features simply do not work.
I agree that our forum framework could use some significant improvements! We are examining our options on that for sure. Today’s reorganization is part of an improvement process that may potentially lead to new software, as well. The change in software is only in the examination stage right now. Unfortunately we don’t have a formal timeframe for making a final decision or for migrating to a new forum base, if we do go down that path.
Hey, you’re right! There aren’t any bugs on the forums. I did a search and came up with nothing.
Any chance the search feature can be made to actually work?
I found this to be inaccurate: “New Master Salvage Kit! Never Runs Out!……….Costs 60 copper per use”. It’s actually called ‘Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic’, though the stats are equal to a master salvage kit. The Reddit post is dated 22 days ago but the Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic was first available end of August to beginning of September, quite some time before the Reddit post.
…….As specialists, these volunteers will answer questions in a player-to-player (unofficial) sense, flag posts in breach of the Forum Code of Conduct, and coalesce and transmit player feedback to the ArenaNet Forum Communications Team.
In other words, volunteer forum moderators. I get the impression what Anet means is these “specialists” will be required to keep an eye out for any posts that may be deemed a violation of the rules and flag them. Will “specialists” have the power to edit and/or delete posts themselves they find in violation of the rules?
Whatever the case may be, more flagged posts means the forums will end up being moderated a whole lot more then it already is.
Edit: I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. In fact it might actually be a good thing. We keep getting threads with stupid ideas once in a while such as “this game needs to go to a subscription model” and " we need an expansion badly". And the ever so lovely “Anet doesn’t care” and “Anet will never fix it” kinda posts all over the place.
In fact, give the “specialists” moderator powers. Honestly I get kinda sick of seeing kitten like this all the time. The forums really do need more moderation.
(edited by Charrbeque.8729)
This was reported before. It has been like this for a while since after the Halloween event ended. It only seems to happen on some characters for me.
My observations: On 1 character I had it set to the Limited-Use Mad King finisher and it seemed to stay that way. I then hid my outfit so my armor would show then went back to Finishers in the account wardrobe, without closing the window, and found my finisher was reset to Basic. Not sure if there’s a connection or if it’s just a coincidence. On another character my finisher keeps resetting to Basic no matter what I do.
I don’t think it’s intended.
When buying items the buy window stays open. That might be intentional so I can purchase more if I chose to.
But what’s been happening since December 2 patch is the sell window stays open now after selling something instead of closing.
Here is what happened to me: I sold a major rune and the sell window with the sell instantly and place order buttons stayed opened. I thought the sell didn’t go through so I clicked the sell instantly button again and got an error stating that I don’t have any of that item to sell. The window should have closed since I no longer had any of that item. However, the sell did go through and I did have the correct amount of coins to withdraw from the TP. This started with the December 2, 2014 patch.
Edit: To clarify, before the Dec. 2 patch when you sold all of an item in your inventory the sell window would automatically close. However, if you only sold part of a stack of items the window would, and still does, stay open. This is probably why some are saying it’s intended behavior. The sell window should only stay open if you only sell part of a stack of items and still have more that could be sold, but it should automatically close (as it use to) when you sold all of an item and have no more in your inventory.

Where’s this Dry Top? I have 100% world completion on my ranger and I’ve never seen such a place.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dry_top#Getting_There
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Silverwastes#Getting_there
Even though both Dry Top and Silverwastes have vistas, points of interest, and skill challenges, the don’t have renowned hearts and neither zone counts toward map completion.
for jumping puzzle just do the jp in the southeastern corner of southsun cove. you can port right to it and it takes all of 12 seconds.
You need to complete 12 different jumping puzzles during the month. This means that you can’t do the same jumping puzzle once a day to get it. I found that out when I started playing this game after doing an easy puzzle 3 or 4 days in a row before I realized it. :P
The Basic Cloth Rack in your home instance (purchased from gem store) has a minor issue. After gathering from the node for the day the icon still shows up on the mini map and large map while in a home instance, no matter which home instance you visit and it still shows up even if you leave and come back or go to another instance. It can only be gathered from once per day per account as intended though.
I’m not sure if this is intended or a bug, but apparently the Basic Cloth Rack doesn’t count for the Daily Gatherer achievement.
Warrior greatsword skill ’ Rush’ became much worse since the September 2014 feature pack launched.
Before the feature pack often times my warrior would start to charge the target then suddenly just stop and run in place for the duration of the skill. The terrain didn’t matter. It could be perfectly level and you’d still appear to get stuck on something. At least half the time when I actually did reach the target, my warrior would run in place right against the target for the duration and never swing the sword. At least half the time if my warrior actually made it to the target and swung his sword it wouldn’t hit at all with no damage being dealt and no message that the attack was even blocked.
Now since the feature pack released my warrior is more consistent and makes it to the target most of the time. The problem now is every single time my warrior makes it to the target he just rushes straight through it and swings the sword behind it, even if the target is standing still the entire time.
I’m a PvE only player and I finished my monthly weeks ago, without touching a jumping puzzle. I don’t see what the problem is really.
I just want to point out the evidence does indicate you DID touch a jumping puzzle!
:)
Those three were done after the fact. Besides, it isn’t completed so it didn’t count towards finishing the monthly
But you still get achievement points from it. I finally got around to finishing my monthly puzzle jumper yesterday even though I already had the monthly completed for a while (thanks to the new Silverwastes map LoL).
There should be enough jumping puzzles for the monthly that are easy enough for most people. I will say that I had a lot of trouble when I first started playing this game. Some puzzles would take me hours or days to complete on my own and now those same puzzles only take me minutes. Though I have yet to complete the ‘Not so Secret’ JP without getting a mesmer portal to the chest. Someday I will though.
Sure. Why not? But only if we get same-sex marriages. Equality and all that.
It’s just the way it is. If the game has determined that an attack is going to hit you and the attack was launched before you stealthed, it’s going to hit no matter what.
It reminds of Star Trek Online. If you’re in a starship that can cloak and a torpedo was launched before you cloaked, it’s going to hit you anyway if the game determined it would. But in STO it could be a fatal choice to cloak. Torpedoes do more damage when they hit your hull then when they hit your shields and cloaking drops your shields completely.
It takes practice. You just have to learn how to cloak at the right moment to lessen or eliminate the damage you will take when stealthing.
Edit: Some advice: if you’re low on health and covered in (polka) DoTs, don’t bother stealthing unless you can heal yourself first. If your healing is on cooldown you might as well keep fighting unless you’re sure you can survive after you stealth. I’ve killed many a skelk with (polka) DoTs while they were stealthed.
(edited by Charrbeque.8729)
It’s been a problem since the day the September feature pack was released and it was reported back then.
Skills I’ve seen it happen with:
Warrior greatsword ‘Rush’
Warrior mainhand sword ‘Savage Leap’
Guardian greatsword ‘Leap of Faith’
Guardian mainhand sword ‘Flashing Blade’
Ranger greatsword ‘Swoop’
The issue seems to be trying to activate another skill with a cast time and/or animation. For example: in the middle of running using Warrior greatsword ‘Rush’ you try to use bladetrail before the ‘Rush’ animation has completed. The ‘Rush’ skill finishes, bladetrail doesn’t activate, and you’re stuck not able to use any other skills at all, even your auto attack won’t work. The fix is, as posted, is to move your character slightly using the keyboard.
Edit: Forgot to add that I hardly see the issue anymore since I’ve learned to slow down and wait for the leap/charge animations to finish completely before trying to activate another skill with a charge time and/or animation. Skills that instantly activate, such as shouts, don’t seem to cause the problem.
So basically if you’re clicking skills too fast while using any kind of leap skill or charge skill your character gets stuck doing nothing once the skill finishes its animation. I only use a left mouse click to activate all skills so I don’t know if using the number keys to activate weapon skills would have the same affect.
I’d also like to throw this in: Warrior greatsword skill ‘Rush’ http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rush Notes: "Sometimes a player using this skill on a target will cause the player to run through the target and strike behind the creature, hitting nothing. " Yeah well it happens every time since the September feature pack, even on enemies standing still. It feels like RNG with a very rare chance that ‘Rush’ will actually hit the target. From what I’ve seen since playing this game, ‘Rush’ hasn’t worked right for a long time, but a couple months ago it got way worse.
(edited by Charrbeque.8729)
I don’t know about you guys but I did find the Bog of Eternal Stench in there. I almost fell in.
Thanks for the report. This has been fixed internally and will be released sometime in the future.
Thank you very much. I look forward to my mini chickenado clucking again.
My Mini Chickenado has been missing its sounds since the September feature pack. When that update hit some things were missing sounds or completely broken. For example salvage-o-matics would seem to start playing the voice sound but suddenly stop and the special sound effect from the slingshot shortbow skin was missing and it used a standard bow sound. These have been fixed but the Mini Chickenado no longer has that light sound of wind swirling around or the light sound of a chicken clucking.
It’s not a mini. It’s from the witch costume.
To be more precise http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Feline_Familiar It has an image for the kitty.
I’m not even going to quote anyone, because it’s simple: there is no scaling up of the champion fights because there are no adds. So whether it’s 1 or 15 people fighting those Mordrem Champions during the Breach, it does not matter…so whether those people WP out or not isn’t going to make a difference. That’s all you need to know, and once they’re dead, not downed, I don’t believe they count towards the active players, and this would only apply to the Legendary Mordrem, which have nothing to do with the Champions. So in essence, you don’t need auto-waypointing.
Agreed. Auto-waypointing is a bad idea. Often times players are nice and will take the time to revive others. The problem is when it takes you too long to trek clear across the map the event may fail because too many players are still making their way back to the event and not enough players were left alive to handle the event on their own.
And it’s not just the silverwastes. If you’re out doing an event somewhere else in Tyria the nearest waypoint may be contested, or a player may not have gone up to it to activate it yet, causing people to have to travel even farther.
(edited by Charrbeque.8729)
Based on my own experience:
NOBODY thought it was a bad idea to have only 1 waypoint in the silverwastes, causing you to have to run clear across the friggen map to get back to the fort you were at.
NOBODY thought it was a bad idea to have certain mordrem enemies immobilize you. I think they’re called Modrem Husk Slingers or something. There have been times I try to ignore enemies to run back across the map, aggro 2 or more of those kittens, and be permanently immobilized. As soon as the immob wears off, or I clear it with a skill, another mordrem immobs me, then when that wears off another immobs me. I end up having no choice but to waste time trying to kill them so I can continue on my way, and sometimes I end up getting killed myself and have to start my long trek across the map all over again!
This is probably why some players refuse to use a waypoint to revive themselves when they get killed at 1 of the forts on the far west side of the map.
It isn’t easy avoiding getting hit by enemies while running past them. Most of the time I’ll get hit at least once on my way back, putting me in combat mode for a good 2 minutes or so because the enemy refuses to break aggro, even though they aren’t chasing me anymore. There have been times throughout the game where I get stuck in combat mode for a good 3-5 minutes when I get hit while running past stuff. At times I’ll stop after a while and look around. Not a single enemy in sight or even in the distance, and I have the distance in the game options set to max so I can see as far as possible, and I’ll still be stuck in combat mode for some reason. This kittenes me off and is really starting to get on my nerves. I’m sick of being stuck in combat mode for minutes, slowing me down, when I’m just trying to get somewhere.
And then we have someone come on the forums and goes all Sixth Sense on us: “I SEE DEAD PEOPLE AND THEY WON’T REZ, kitten !” Perhaps instead of kittening about it on the forums you could ask people WHY they don’t want to revive themselves using a waypoint.
Here is an idea: how about you stop complaining and start reviving? It wouldn’t be a problem if more players would take the time to revive people. The more players reviving a single player, the faster they they come back to life.
Of course there is that 1 breach with the 2 champions where you have to destroy the bubbles to snare them. Half the time I drop down onto a pile of dead bodies and I’m instantly killed myself. At that point the only option is for everybody to just waypoint, unless there are a few players alive who can revive them (and often times there are).
I do try to take the time to revive players. But if they’re completely dead and nobody else is helping revive them and I’m taking too much damage, I have to stop and concentrate on keeping myself alive, at least long enough for the monsters to go after another target giving me time to continue reviving. Because I know how annoying it is in the silverwastes having to trek clear across the map to get back there.
Edit: The word ‘kitten ’ changed to ‘kitten’………this planet has officially gone crazy.
…………? Seriously? Censorship at it’s finest.

Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!
Nothing up my sleeve. Presto! Oops. Wrong hat.
Those boxers seem familiar.
Anybody else feel a draft in here?
Keep your dam squirrels and nutty beavers.
I want a monkey ranger pet. The mordrem need a spanking.
Same problem here. It’s the last lost coin I need for Uplands and can’t get it. I took screenshots to show where it’s located and circled my location on the large map.
The difference is the Digital Deluxe Edition you buy through GuildWars2.com is the full version of the game and used to create a new account, though I’m not sure if you can use it to upgrade an existing account. The Digital Deluxe Upgrade in the gem shop is just that: it upgrades an already existing account.
On sale through the website to try and get new players for the game.
Not on sale through the gem shop because you’re not a new player, and you could get it for free by trading gold for gems. But that doesn’t mean it will never go on sale in the gem shop.
Just my theory on it.
Edit: Heroic Edition through the website costs $40 normally. The Digital Deluxe Upgrade through the gem shop costs 2,000 gems, which equates to about $25 ($50 buys 4,000 gems). If you buy the Heroic Edition now at $20 and later get the Upgrade through the gem shop it would be cheaper then buying the full Digital Deluxe Edition through the website at normal price (About $45 now compared to $60). That is if you can’t afford to buy the Digital Deluxe now for $30.

Artificer crafting. You can craft the lesser essences of luck to larger versions, all the way up to exotic (200 points of luck). It requires 0 in artificer. When crafting just type ‘luck’ in the search box for recipes. It would save you a lot of mouse clicks.
When using the skin you received from the gem shop it costs 0 transmutation charges to change the skin. You could just save the extra skin in case you want to transmute another greatsword and save yourself a transmutation charge.
