Well I have to applaud EB for their tenacity this evening. Most of the time you wiped but you kept coming back for more :p

Need to train your melee better – far too much scattering in the initial assaults, leaving little to no pressure on the opponent. Not bad in pug zerg moshpits, but against an equal sized guild you’re just going to get counterattacked and crushed.

New Healing Signet

in Mesmer

Posted by: Dawdler.8521

Dawdler.8521

The biggest win for this signet I think will be phantasm based builds which use restorative mantras to augment the healing. Main reason is due to the ability to pop the signet for immediate phantasm skill recharges or emergency condition cleanse. You still have other healing available with RM.

EDIT: For instance, a build like this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Build-Phantastic-Mantras

Lolwat? Does no one count?

Why would a mantra build ever want to use this crappy new signet when traited mantra healing is alot more effective. And by alot I mean ALOT.

Let me recount the healing (using my numbers, yours may vary), now in glorious hps on a similar 1 minute cycle and hopefully some bug fixes (menders on channel dont work? I honestly havent looked that hard lol, also forgot the channel time so there was too much cleansing/healing thrown in):

Signet (letting it tick with 3 ill, menders): 338hps / 0 conditions removed
Signet (letting it tick for 30s with 3 ill, then popping it, menders): 266hps / 2 conditions removed
Mantra (14s cycling, traited heal, menders): 580hps/16 conditions removed
Mantra (12s cycling (traited), traited heal, menders): 676hps/20 conditions removed

*lets just ignore AoE healing

How can you say that in a build with restorative mantras it will be the biggest win. Honestly? Just look at the numbers! Look at it!!!

If the signet pumped out like 600hps, sure it would be decent on its own but if you take into account menders there is no contest.

New Healing Signet

Dawdler.8521

Quick calculation on my current setup, amount of healing you get in 1 minute…

Signet: 5798*2 + 20 ticks of 1015 (assuming constant 3 illusions)
= 4 condition removed (menders), 31896 HP restored.
Mantra: 2656+2732*2 every ~10 second
= 36 conditions removed (menders), 48720 HP restored + 15936-79680 AoE healing (assuming a full heal on 1-5 targets).
Ether: 5840+668*3 (assuming all illusions on each pop) every 20 second
= 6 conditions removed, 23532 HP restored.
Mirror: 4083 every 15 second
= 8 conditions removed, 16333 HP restored + 8 seconds mirror

*note that I balance out the uneven channeling time with popping signet twice, both of which will be a little over 1 minute. You will also never have all 3 illusions constantly while you can always cycle the mantra as fast as you can, so signet is given a major edge in the basic numbers. But you probably wont heal fully on the AoE either, so mantra has iffy secondary numbers.

Here’s my thought:

NOPE

If you get Signet mastery you can improve it a little, but at 35s cooldown it wont matter that much as you only get the boon once. But it still seems better than the other options (ether/mirror). Maybe I’ll try it if I ever go out of Mantra.

Edit: Oh lol, I forgot that the signet passive of course dont work on cooldown. So its like 10K less healing than stated above if you pop it once during that minute (20K passive in one minute or -10K on the pop I included). Ah wtf, I wont bother doing a proper calculation, someone else can fill that in. Healing is alot less than stated above for the signet.

Tips for beating necromancers?

in Mesmer

Posted by: Dawdler.8521

Dawdler.8521

Yep, max range, preferably with ranged double weapon.

But if the Necro is really good, you cannot beat him – it doesnt matter how you twist or turn your build or skill, they can always beat you. Tanky condition necros is one of the most OP builds in the game – far outweighing a Phantasm build. Yes, they are even worse than Guardians, at least the Guardians do crap damage if they go all out tank.

Of course I have met plenty of Necros that I beat the snot out of with my Mesmer but that only mean I was the better player, caught them by surprise or just had plain old fashioned luck. Really the only class I dont want to meet on the battlefield. A perma-stealth berserker Thief is easier to kill :/

[Build] WvW Support Idea

Dawdler.8521

I would strongly advice against healing gear. You get very little for a hefty investment. Your regen heals tick for maybe 180 vs 270 while your 6 heal have around 4000 vs 4300. This means absolutely nothing in zerg combat. Guardians and Warriors bring far, far better heals while doing more damage. Even a mantra Mesmer without any healing gear will outheal your added regen considerably, assuming the enemy arent silly enough to let your phantasm live more than 0.3 seconds. With a measly 1300 toughness you’re also going to be a rally bot unless its a very well tuned 20+ guild group (or your zerg outman the enemy 3 to 1 of course). I’m guessing that most guilds run with 1800-2000 toughness and still punch hard as hell due to power/crit builds (Cavalier ftw) .

My advice would be to focus on toughness and condition if you want to go the glamour route. If you’re mostly after the blind, then go power build with little to no extra condition damage – you can probably even roam with that.

Otherwise, hey go nuts with it. The torch does throw in a tiny bit of escape possibilities.

Oh I may be dumb as a brick, using rams to exploit skill mechanics is still low.

But maybe the current thoughts about the meta was beginning to be a little stale. We really only got the zergs and ridiculous amounts of siege inside keeps but now we can spice it up with “lolololol SFR need rams to win open field fights lololol”.

Wait, wait, I got it… Pikunah vs Ramsfarers.

Congratulations SFR for this evening of being the cheapest kittening server I’ve ever seen, building rams everywhere to exploit the damage reduction. Rushing out of a gate? Build a ram inside first of course! Getting attacked in the field by a smaller or equal force? Slap down rams and build fast as kitten, its brilliant!

Building 8+ ballistas and arrowcarts in a camp, meh we can see past that. Siege is siege. But rams? That’s just low.

Does SFR commanders really stand by this cheap tactic? Or did you simply ran out of arrowcarts?

Names for Female Ranger

Dawdler.8521

Ulfsdóttir implies that her father was called Ulf , Wolfkin or even Ulfkin would make it sound more metaphorical “Wolf’s Daughter”.

“Ulf” – or if you want to be more modern proper and use an old name for wolf rather than what is now a very common name you want to use “Ulv” – is hard to say even for Scandinavians. You gurgle it while using your mouth like you’re gonna kiss someone. Not very threatening.

I prefer “Varg”. No not the silly gothic “Warg” used in GW2 (WAAAAAARRGGGGH!!!). You can more or less yell that out while baring your teeth, just like a wolf. If you try something similar with “Ulv”, you’re yelling something that sounds more like “Öl” instead. Or in English, beer. And you dont want to yell out to your beer to attack the enemy. In German, I believe its oil. Which is even worse. Northern European logic, oil, beer, same thing.

I would instead go with “Vargadóttir” in that case (you need the extra a to make it sound fluent between the two words, just like using s in “Ulfsdóttir”).

As for the pet name, well there are plenty of options. Personally I’d just call my waist high 200kg pet wolf “Gosevargen”. I believe the proper English translation is “Snugglewolf”.

Well… Isnt the answer simple? Remove ppt. Only allow score per kill and per capture (say 25/75 ratio).

Problem solved. Even if a server completely dominate the night and hold ALL the keeps against absolutely no one attacking them… They get nothing more than the points for capping said keeps. The next day, they have to prevent the enemy from capping them to “keep” the points. In other words, holding a keep for a certain period of time (until tick) doesnt exist. You have to hold a keep period or the enemy get score for taking it.

It solves both the night time and outmanned one fell swoop (outmanned buff would obviously not give points for the enemy). It focus the points to where the actual battles is – the rest of the already capped/reinforced/million arrowcart sieged map is “dormant”.

Never going to happen though. Anet cannot “fix” WvW without remaking it from scratch. At best, I hope for commander functions. But… well… 1.5 years later…

I have a curiosity and some of you might be able to help me out. Why does the piken zerg chase after roamers?
It’s the only zerg that I know of that actively chases roamers. Seems like a waste of time, I doubt they catch anything very often.

I’m talking about the eb piken zerg, don’t really play on other maps but I’ve led them on chases more than once.
And I don’t mean 3 warriors separating from the main zerg coming after my party of 2, I mean the full zerg jumping off clifs or bridges and running in circles after us.

Other than that, it’s obvious everyone is taking it easy this round. Should be fun.

Well there are two possible reasons really:

- If you’re SFR, its because you’re SFR
- If you’re Vizunah, meh close enough (also, be sure not be a Charr with pink hair)

Well at least we see that Vizunah have taken a chill pill and is nice and relaxed. Its quite a challenge to try to stop blobs twice your size from running away, you have to change your tactic entirerly by scattering the zerg train and sending forward people just to immobilize/stun/get in combat the enemy. Good training! Good loot too. Special grats to SFRJ commander that got Dusk.

Take note SFR, fleeing Vizunah have +2% chance to give a precursor!

Doubleteam only occurs in the Season. If Vizunah needs it ok and piken like it to be a vizunahs henchman it is also ok.

Vizunah need it? Lol. Piken a henchman? Double lol.

Here is a simplistic timeline:

Piken won round 1 over SFR by a narrow marginal. Vizunah beat the snot out of both, as usual.

SFR doubleteamed Piken with Riverside. Its not the first time servers roflstomp Piken due to vastly superior coverage and manpower and we already knew SFR had both since long before the league began. SFR forum warriors called it “revenge” for round 1 with their “if we lost that means the enemy cheated, we’re pure awesome and can even beat Vizunah while standing on one hand casting fireballs from our kitten !” type mentality.

Round 3 begin and SFR instantly blaim Piken for doubleteaming with Vizunah (actually I think they started before the round began). Vizunah doesnt seem to care, they dominate like they always do due to coverage, organisation and zerg power. The more SFR QQ on the forums, the more Piken focus on them for laughs and ignore Vizunah.

And there you have it. Its simple human nature. We are mean, cruel, spiteful creatures. If someone says you do something… well why not do it?

I expect this thread to be locked as soon as the mods notice it though, lol.

Well we have to walk through a million arrowcarts to cap anything SFR so it balances out.

Yesterday on Viz border with the SFR keep, we couldnt believe the amount of siege that came up. I have absolutely no idea where the supplies came from. Granted, pretty much the entire border pop was there but still.

Piken dont even siege up a T3 Garrison half as much as what we saw inside that recently flipped border keep… O.o

Really Piken?? why are you still helping Vizunah so much on EBG?

just a few min ago we did a nice golem rush on Quentin Lake. and then Piken Square had to come and help Vizunah square by attacking us at that tower? really made no sense. we killed the Piken group. and in that time Vizunah came and repaired the gate and took out the golems

At this time Piken was defending the gate while Vizunah got in to get the gate fixed to 100% Vizunah commander leading Piken blobs these days?

How else is Vizunah going to get score?! Geez, those guys cant do anything without Piken. The lengths you have to go to carry Vizunah is insane. Sometimes when we’re logged on to both our Vizunah and Piken accounts and end up fighting each other we still has to help Vizunah win the fight.

I would say its definetly not basic stats, even though the text says so. I bought it on sale, but up until this evening I have been using leftover basic salvage kits, which behaved “normally” sort of speak. As soon as I started using the salvagematic, I filled an entire 20 slot bag of various minor runes in one clean out. The drop chance is much, much higher.

That said, IMO it should be master salvage to begin with. Nothing permanent should be of low quality. That’s like if the perma mining axe could only take iron and copper.

Their approach to mounted combat was trully revolutionary in the world of MMOs and revived gameplay entirely, combat was once more fun and gameplay far more dynamic.

Well after that rant I just had to go look at youtube. Lol. It look hilarous. Especially those clips with fast enough horses that they are powersliding, I almost expected a hoof burnout! Combat look stiff and attacks dont really “connect”.

Now, if they could make something like Mount And Blade I can imagine it being good. Oh and replace the horses with Charr.

Veil’s balance is weird. They seem to not want to increase mesmer’s stealth availability, but a 2sec stealth curtain does not justify a 90 sec cooldown.

Yes it does. You can stealth a 50 man group with it. It more than warrants the 90s cooldown. It is also a glamour skill, which means that the cd reduction is a tier 1 trait, again something that justify the longer default cooldown for a very powerfull skill.

Want better personal stealth? Replace your veil with Decoy. Mass invisibility is the “middle ground” for smaller engagements. Yes, it is reduntant compared to veil if you have a massive zerg, that’s the point. You’re not meant to have every stealth skill known to man active. Anet gave us options for different situations.

Phantasmal Warlock isn’t nearly as good as people here seem to think so far as I can gather.

None of the Mesmer weapons are “good” compared with other classes. The attacks are designed to poke the enemy hard, not consistently.

In open PvE vs bosses I’ve seen up to 12-13K damage on hits with my 2K toughness zerg survival build. Maybe that’s not good compared to what a berserker output but its decent enough for me. That said, the staff is a defensive weapon and incidently, one of the best defensive weapons in the game (if not the best).

Actually, just charging the Mantra will give you the heal effect, and proc the centaur runes swiftness. You don’t need to actually use the heal.
In this way, you don’t really ever need to “waste” the heal for swiftness.

Errr… You need to use the two-three heals to be able to charge. If you dont use the heals, you get 10 seconds of swiftness period. Not very good when its 15 minute PvP/3 hour WvW.

Also I was talking from a WvW perspective, obviously not PvP. In PvP, you barely need any speed at all, the maps are too small and the entire point is to engage the enemy and win, not run away.

Video Recording Software

in Mesmer

Dawdler.8521

If you got Nvidia, definetly test Shadowplay. With it you also have the feature to turn on passive recording like 10 minutes back, so you can actually hit record after a fight if you want. Personally I have it off and only use manual recording, but that’s preference. There is one “bug” sort of speak and that’s that the video is choppy in some players, like VLC. But it look fine in WMP.

IMO it is better than Afterburner by quite a bit.

Here is an example of a 1080p capture (you dont have a choice, Shadowplay captures everything at 1080p/60fps lol): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn_I04OBBAM

Video editing software used is Windows Movie Maker (free) with simple black out/black in transitions and music added on top.

Its very simple to cut video – just select the time when you want the transition to happen, right click and cut, then find the other “end” where the next sequence start. Cut again and delete the video between. Simple to mute the video and slap on music.

The text is one of the major flaws in WMM, you only have one “timeline” for it so you cannot overlap. This is the reason the chatlog censuring pop up after the “SFRJ raid blabla” and music content. Its just a big black wingding box (“N” or “B” or something down there, cant remember). A little tricky to get it to match, you have to fiddle with box/text sizes. I will stop using WMM text and use Youtube captions instead I think, no need for the in-video text.

Stabbath, have you experimented with using an ‘on-heal’ proc Runeset with your Mantra? Lyssa (cough, cough OP) has a great proc and Centaur is really awesome for group mobility.
Mantra Mastery + Centaur is perma-swiftness for your team (and it’s quite underrated in combat too)

Centaur runes is great in theory, in practice however it means that you must pop your heal on every cooldown to maintain speed (it work without mantra mastery as well btw). While it works fine running alone across a warm summer field with fluffy unicorns flying through the air farting rainbows, in a combat situation with Warrior axes flying all over the place and sweaty men in 100kg armour jumping like a bunny on crack over your head, it doesnt really work . You need your heal to be available on demand and use the proper moment to charge the mantra – especially if you traited it to do other things, such as condition removal (oh I need to remove 10s immobilize, nope I used it to get 10s swiftness, good trade!). Missing a beat in small scale against perma-speed classes is almost certain death.

I used them a long, long time before I switched to Traveller runes… Not going back. Usually the team has at least one warrior with a warhorn, which is better perma-speed.

Solo the story fractal, did it today

With nearly full PvT and no crit damage at all, how on earth did you manage that? O.o

Subject 6 is designed as a dps race to reliably bring down the secondary oozes when soloing, especially if they spawn close. My “tanky” Mesmer is a mostly knights/cavalier build and I can still fail to bring the ooze down in time due to poorly coordinated weapon cooldowns, that’s how close I am with the same power, double your precision and 80% crit damage on top. The portal mobs are easy enough though 6-8ish veterans can be… annoying… to fight without a death, but not impossible.

But I never continued past 50% Subject 6 due to no time left and not figuring out how to disable the colliders, lol. I guess you could wear him down over the hours… But hell if it wouldnt be painfull.

Regarding the OP, any 0/X/X/X/0 will do fine as a tank. In terms of gear and swapping between offensive and defensive, you probably want two sets with, one with PvT and one with either knights, berserker or cavalier (or any combo of the three). For the “dps” set I strongly advice something like traveller runes, while the PvT set can run Melandru or the like. Personally I combined the two into fixed knights/some berserker for armor and traveller, then a full PvT and full Cavalier set for the trinkets. Less bag space lol.

What if camps started with 0 supply?

in WvW

Posted by: Dawdler.8521

Dawdler.8521

I believe the real question is: why can you even take supplies from camps? They should be the “mines” of GW2, but the actual usable supply of materials are “produced” at keeps. The supply dolly is the link between the two.

Its not like a blacksmith thinks “OMG I need iron for this sword I’m making!” and proceed to run at full speed to the nearest iron mine to gather ore while at the same time someone is waiting the next ore shipment to make ingots next to the smithy.

Removing the ability to gather supply at the camps would reduce the need to zerg them before the enemy take the supplies just because its full while it would also increase the importance of protecting dollys moving to keeps (note that it assume that there are more dollys moving around of course). It would also make it important to hold camps. No camps, no supplies at all.

As it is now, its more like “meh someone took our empty camp. Nvm we take it back in 4 minutes when it also have more supplies than we ever left”.

But I digress, its never going to happen. The system is as the system is.

No commander? no chance...

in WvW

Dawdler.8521

A map without a person sigiling up can function as long as there is communication. Better if it is in teamspeak but map chat can work as well as long as it is clear concise and timely. Of course if someone is directing through chat others have to be willing to follow instead of troll and whine.

If there arent at least 2-3 20+ guilds running around untagged, it function about as good as an comatose 120 year old. Sure it may work defensivly, but if the enemy give even the slightest of prods in any organized fashion its going to fall apart quickly. We’re talking about seeing ticks go from 350+ to 200 in 15 minutes. Yes, it happen. Unless of course you’re talking about a server that’s pretty much already won on overall score and being constant top dog due to coverage, then they can play it relaxed.

The thing is, being a commander is a dirty job. You spend 100 gold and you get absolutely nothing for it. I often see people laugh on the forum about scrub commanders spending 100g “just because they think they are cool”. That may be so but they still didnt get crap for those 100g. People will raise that pug commander to high heavens, as if the entire borderland depend on him. When he fail they ridicule him. Multiple commanders to “spread the load”? HA! Complete taboo in GW2! We need that pug commander to lead us and only him, everyone on that pug commander (but we all hate zerging, booo, we dont zerg!) and kitten that kittened kitten if he doesnt lead us to victory!

But what it really comes down to is the fact that a poor commander is better than no commander at all.

Suggestion: Alerting queue system.

Double monitors. GW2 windowed on the second monitor. Random browsing/youtube/pr0n on the primary. Unless you’re too caught up in previously mentioned pr0n then you should still see when the queue pops.

Having it play a little tune would be fantastic, yes. So would actually having a fully functional queue rather than the broken mess currently in the game but hey we cant have everything now can we?

If you dont want 2 different sets, choose direct damage or condition. You cant really have both.

My advice? Skip condition damage and go Berserker/Cavalier (PVT/Knights/Cavalier is another combo). If you get buffed you’ll probably reach 2500/2000/1800 in pow/prec/tough with ~80% crit damage. That can punch through pretty much anything while having far higher zerg survival in WvW than pure berserker.

It’s difficult to claim that guild catapults are the answer. A guild can make one of those like what once a day?

Guild catapults you buy with guild mission currency. There is no limit how many you can build in a day. They cost 1.34g on the TP at the moment.

That said, I will concede that guild siege is slightly on the pricey side and assumes your entire guild does missions every week and pool their resources – a large guild at that. If we assume only dedicating half your tokens to giving the guild commander catapults that’s a mere 2 catas per member per week.

It would be great if Anet made regular guild siege and superior guild siege (regular would just be less supply demanding regular siege which small guilds can use, like getting 5 for 1 token or something) but I dont see it happening. Or any other “solution” that’s proposed.

The “solution” to the issue of small groups is already in the game. Its called guild catapults.

A group of 5 people thats claimed a stocked camp will walk away with 75 supplies (minimum). That’s enough for them to build 3 guild catapults, which equal superiors. Meaning those 5 people can wreck any keep they want, even T3 reinforced. Hills, Bay, Garrison, it doesnt matter. You can breach outer and inner walls with the same catapults.

Well, assuming a 60 man zerg doesnt roll over them 30 seconds after they built them, but that’s beside the point. Because its going to happen regardless of the fact they built 1 catapult or 3 catapults.

I hobbled together a video of some of yesterday evenings battles. Why do I always think “Hm, I should have recorded that” a minute after a 5 minute battle? Curse these tiny SSDs!

Have something like NVIDIA Shadow Play or PlayClaw pre-recording and you’ll be fine for the most part.

I already use Shadowplay, but turned it to full manual. Writing and rewriting 10+ hours of video in the same area on the SSD, day in and day out? Uhm… No thanks.

Yeah it really was good fights. Vizunah zergs are still insane, lol. When we engage massive forces and actually seem to win after 5 minutes of epic (and exhausting) fighting, everyone that has died just come back in another zerg. No map is big enough to engage Vizunah :S

Regarding the presence on Red border… I think the raid I was in (Piken) engaged Vizunah 8-12 times during the 1.5h I was there. AR… 1 time. Maybe 2 times, I cant remember if it was AR that tried to snag hills at the start.

Who is the easy target ?

Ranger, definetly. I dont know if bad/low level people play them the most but I usually steamroll them.

Since the release of the game I can recall one good ranger. And he was very good – not even a Mesmer (me) and a Theif (guild buddy) could down him. Seriously, he was unkillable. Not even underwater, this was on land. That said, of course he couldnt do much to us in return so he wasnt all that dangerous.

If you call Riverside as being used by SFR then it will not be hard to agree that Piken was used in the first week by VS.

Piken didnt fold to Viz. Only delusional SFR claim that. We tried to fight them at every corner. But you know what? It didnt work. Even if a 60 man blob went down, there was another 60 behind them. And when you did manage to beat them both, 80 people came 5 minutes later because apparently their entire philosophy is “if you didnt beat them you didnt outnumber them enough”. Fighting Vizunah quickly turned into “oh god not three times our forces again, uuuugh…”. Which is why between two hard targets, many choose to punch SFR instead. Because in that matchup we could beat them 1 on 1.

Deadliest Class WVW

in WvW

Dawdler.8521

The 3 that I keep seeing seem to be Warrior, Necro and Thief.

They are quite different in terms of “deadliest” design however. Both the Necro and Warrior usually arent deadliest from a pure damage perspective – they are deadliest when they spec for immortality because you simply cannot bring them down. A zerker Warrior in particular is no match for any player with a decent amount of dodge and burst. Dangerous yes, but not the deadliest. VS the immortality bunkers, neither a balanced build or your average zerker stand a chance – another immortality bunker may at best wear each other down after 10 minutes of fighting but I wouldnt call that being “deadly”. Just resilient.

Personally I would rate the Thief the deadliest, because when they spec zerker and stealth and know what they are doing then no other class stand a chance (except possibly another zerker thief). Not even the immortality bunkers will outmatch them. It doesnt matter what build you got, you cannot kill what you cannot see and what return to 100% HP every time it reappear. And this is not from a “omg thief is so cool I drool all over myself when I play one cause I’m so awesome” point of view. I hate thieves. I dont play thief. I cant even play them anywhere near as good as the better players out there. But I still consider a very good thief the deadliest class.

Unless of course, its a trick question and we’re all supposed to say “zerg”.

Anet has said several times that they will not port to PS4 or any other console for that matter.
The most obvious reason being their frequent game updates.
They will instead focus on PC, which gives them the freedom to ship a new built whenever they need to

While I have little doubt we’ll never see a PS4 version of GW2, I dont see the logic of your reasoning. An MMO is always online. You cant play without updating. Why would frequent updates be an issue on PS4? It would just start the launcher in full screen mode, change the controls to PS4 controller and voila – PS4 version of GW2. The actual console architecture is a HTPC otherwise, they shouldnt have to do much else with the game itself. Of course they may need a bigger team to have a PS4 and PC Q&A/feature implementation but that sort of comes with the territory. They’ll get cash from PS4 game sales anyway.

Personally though, I’d rather see some type of action MMO on a console, it just fits it better. 3rd person “raid” type MMOs would just feel constricted. For example I cant play GW2 without live WvW in a browser on the second monitor, TS and Vent at the same time. But I wouldnt be adverse to say… an Elite style MMO. Space combat fits a controller perfectly.

There’s probably just an Anet employee that comes in every morning and think “hmmm, what shall I set it to today? It was 20% yesterday… 25%? Nah, 26.8% to make people think its based on their actual input, muahahahahaaaaa!!!”. He probably have a Scarlet wig on his head while doing it.

Decoy (traits) breaks stun or not ?

in Mesmer

Posted by: Dawdler.8521

Dawdler.8521

It does not break stun afaik. I think there is a 60-90s cooldown or something on it.

IMO its not that usefull of a trait. In single combat its an advantage, but not one that will win a battle (if you’re below 25% HP you’re already in trouble). If its in a zerg, chances are high there’s so much AoE thrown around you’re just going to die stealthed.

Fully zoomed in map make it fairly easy but IMO the simplest thing Anet could do would be to range indicate the icon so you can turn back and place it closer when going outside its range.
