I would propose SFR in EU, there is a bunch of unbeatable advantages:
- you win every WvW match
- you win every EOTM match
- assuming you play NA-prime, ou will always have a lot friends online and only a handful eneniems (just enough to give you something to flip , but never enough to bring you in danger)
- you will not face queue in NA-prime
The negative being you have to play with so many bandwagon PvE/PPT scrubs that you will lose a lot of fights.
Maybe in EU-prime, but never ever in NA-primetime
In EOTM you will often have nothing to do, because it will be all green with no one else to flip it to anything.
You will die of boredom unless you are actually lobotomised and enjoy PvPing against doors.
I know we said the same, but hey don’t express it so negatively
And the OP asked for a winning EotM server, and there is only one world-wide that is always winning, mostly as green, but also easily when he rolls blue or red by chance!

No balance no competitive match structure, no sense in a season. I am happy that ANet seem to have understood that.
I would be happier if we would have balance and a competitive match structure and a season, but ….
You listed several reasons that are irrelevant to a season. History has proven that it brings players back to WvW. In my experience it also brings players back to the game.
Most importantly, they are just plain fun.
So far I understood the season as a tournament, but you don’t need a tournament if the winner are clear from start.
Ask directly for the price and the achievements if you only want them, no need to make several more imbalanced than usual weeks to get them.
Maybe the new wvw map can be introduced with a season. 5 rounds a 4h matches just with the new map every Sunday afternoon with all servers in one Swiss tournament for all that bought HoT.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
One directly affects ranking and how servers rise or fall at the end of the week, the other doesn’t. Claiming this is equal makes no sense. The argument “this is a game” doesn’t fly since in that case no competative sport would matter in any shape or form.
WvW is a competitive sport? Good joke.
WvW is as close to be competitive as a bar fight is close to be an olympic discipline.
And several tiers are stuck now, match outcome doesn’t affect ranking any longer.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
And the 2nd in the middle was a transfer to win event at least in EU.
Please revert the maps back to their original caps.
No no!
- It’s still very laggy
- 90% of all server are still not able to fill all 4 maps in prime
Reduce the map-cap even more!
I think it is good, that we get a restriction there.
It’s good when the best traits CAN NOT be combined, as this allows for more competitive alternatives, instead of the one and only imba-build.
- You can be scout in a WvW team and extend your role the more you know.
- You can join a large guild, they nearly always look for people organizing things and are able to support you.
No balance no competitive match structure, no sense in a season. I am happy that ANet seem to have understood that.

@junkpile look at attached printscreen of a saturday evening blue zerg. You expect to win a first fight with it against 90 players? It takes 10 minutes to get a gate down with such a group just to whipe on the boss
Time in your screenshot is 18.58. What you try to say? You have already lose 80 players because you did lose all fights at start.
Drink lesss, then you do not see enemies double and tripple.
Blue has outmanned buf from start to end of the match.
I give you pro tip. Win first fight and you players don’t rage quit 10 min after reset. Every time enemy have huge zerg at the start of the match, but they never win.
I see, you really want to be alone in EotM. You simply cannot win with 30 vs 100.
I can only recommend any blue and red: Transfer to SFR or stay away from EotM till it is fixed.
ANd yes, should it be fixed: Give it an own forum section as well.

+10000000000000 (15 Char)
This needs to be addressed and not buried. OG is grossly OP compared to the other 2 factions. It would be nice to get some kind of response about this, but I won’t hold my breath.
Maybe the other 2 factions are actually playing the real wvw with their friends and server mates instead of running around with a bunch of randoms fighting nothing but empty objectives..
Maybe or maybe not. I do not see much relation between both modes, and
I see absolutely no need to use the WvW fractions in EotM, if they provide only one thing to EotM: imbalance.
A simple: If you join EotM, you join the smallest team, would do it.

Sun beads are only used in quantities of 75, the have no other sense in the game than building Hylak-weapons, where you need 75 per weapon.
It’s quite censored to sell them 1-by-1 and not in quantities of 75.
1425 clicks for the full collection, yes I was quite upset as well.
I think people are going to need to wait to see what happens with it before getting frustrated.
My frustration has nothing to do with how good or bad the new Traits will be.
It has to do that again (after the china-trait-change) Anet put’s it’s resources into something that worked best before they touched it, instead of things that urgently need work like WvW/EotM balance.
I currently think the moment HoT comes out will be the moment I stop playing GW2 as not buying HoT will make a 3rd class citizen, but I do not see a point in HoT I like to have so much that it is worth a euro.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
It’s an expansion, which introduces NEW mechanics, so it is more than LOGICAL that there will be substantial changes to the PREVIOUS mechanics.
Is this an expansion? I don’t believe so, but would be nice, if I do not buy HoT I keep my current traits.
I have fun watching and interfering with current guild missions.
Wtf bro
If you answer the location of the wanted or help killing him in a bounty hunt you interfered with it. Or the other way around, watching out of save distance how he kills the guild.
If you guard a player in a guild rush or run yourself for the chest you interfered with it.
….
(edited by Dayra.7405)
Good points against this:
See every thread every made for open world PvP. The answers are all the same. Everytime in every instance.
Be forced into it would be bad, but I did not see that asked.
On the other side I imagine me as someone who is by chance in an area where these to guilds do their gvg-guild mission. I would enjoy watching them, and maybe interfere from time to time (of course booth cannot do anything to me, beside maybe luring some mobs to me), e.g. rezzing a downed, killing mobs that rally them, giving hints where opponents are hiding, ….
I think I would have a lot of fun watching them and from time to time I would have fun doing it, as I have fun watching and interfering with current guild missions.
@sorudo:
You put things in and against that proposal that were not in and that are easily avoidable.
open world PvP is bad no matter how you slice it If anyone has to feel constantly threaded this is likely true. But I do not see that for a limited time and limited group of people, that voluntarily decided to to that.
how would you like it when you get about 20 mails and whispers from other guilds challenging you every….single……DAY! If others want to mail you they can mail you, if there is such a thing like this proposal or not. And do not forget that GvG (in WvW/Obsidian/EotM) is already possible. How many GvG request do you get today?
If you implement it intelligently, you do it as guild mission, that has to be unlocked and build before you can be asked. If you activate it after you build it you get a list of all other guilds that build it as well to choose an opponent from. If you don’t want it never build it.
while some members like the war, others might not in GW2 you can choose to not represent a guild without leaving it, when you are in more than one guild. In case such a guild mission would be added, this should probably be extended, such that you can not represent a guild, even if this is your only one.
I do not see the abuse if both have to say yes to let it happen.
Sounds like a funny new Guild-Mission to me.
And if you personally don’t like it, you can easily avoid being involved: Do not represent the guild while it is at war. But you should only be able to change that while in a save place or during login and you should be able to not represent a guild without leaving it (I think this is currently only possible if you have an alternative guild to represent, but it should then always be possible.)

buy a new character slot instead or you will regret this at a later point
Or buy a new account on the next occasion, that’s 5 slots instead of one for the same price in gems.
But you don’t share the same XP, Gold, Karma, Magic Find, Weapon Skins, Armour Skins, Dye Skins, Account Bound tools, legendary weapons, ascended gear and equipment etc. This needs to be remembered also!
Yes, but this is not only a disadvantage.
In fact it is a huge advantage that you can re-earn all one-time and once-a-day rewards again. Just the daily login earns you 50g per month and account. If you can buy a new account for that you might as well spend 10 bucks a month to get some gold.
Why do you want to spend monthly 10 bucks to get gold, when you can spend once 10 bucks to get monthly gold for free? Less than 3 month to reach the break-even point. After that you have free gold without any spending.

We’re all good little boys and girls, right?
Good little boys and girls go to heaven (fast), the others go everywhere (rule the world since and for a long time).
(That isn’t from me, it’s an adaptation of a song title http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Girls_Go_to_Heaven_)
More serious: I do not see any good or bad in many accounts. And this thread is not a matter of good and bad as well. It’s a matter of myth vs reality. I prefer to know the reality than believing in a myth.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
I have 30 accounts spread across different servers, but I havent made any use of it yet.
So that’s $300 just sitting there doing nothing?
Sitting and doing nothing earns you money in GW2
Login once a day ~ 50g per month (40 laurels per month via daily => buy T6mats for laurels). That’s what I meant with it pays off for regularly gold buyers after 3 month. And 30 accounts looks like a quite extensive gem/gold buyer. I would not even have an idea what I should do with 1500g per month
(edited by Dayra.7405)

Multiple accounts become more and more frequent. People in the forum talked about having 30 accounts as buying an account for 10€ pays of for a frequent gold buyers in 3 month. In fact buying a new account for 10€ (~800 gems) is much cheaper than transferring (~1800 gems for most worlds) and in fact it’s not only a oneway ticket, after you bough a new account for another world you can freely choose where to play.
But thats not the only consequence, there are others so let’s find out how serious the problem is:
- How frequent is that now, i.e. do YOU have accounts on multiple worlds? (So far I don’t, but I am thinking about having 1 account for EU and 1 for NA)
- If yes: on how many different worlds?
- And for how many different worlds do you play WvW?
- How do you decide for which world do you play?
- Did it happen that you had accounts on different servers of the same match?
- Do you have any server loyalty?
- Do you have several computer and did you used your multiple accounts for spying or even trolling?
- Do you have a “Nomad”-account, i.e. use it for free-tranfer by deleting all chars in it?
- Should we have a tournament again, how will you decide for which world you play?
- …
And looking into the future:
- How will WvW work in the future if very many will have accounts on many worlds?
- Will multiple-accounts increase the fair-weather-play phenomena?
- How stable will the ranking/matchmaking be, if many players switch the team often?
- Do transfer costs more than twice as high than a new account make sense?
(edited by Dayra.7405)
The queues are a big issue right now (at least here on SFR).
That’s how it should be: Spread out or be stuck in queue.
There are plenty of server with a lot of free space, e.g. most 2 maps with queue.
Doesn’t really makes sense to base capacity on the demand of the overstacked server.
But here is the solution, on the next occassion buy another account for 10€ that’s less than 50% of the cost of a transfer: Queue on SFR and play elsewhere, I think a lot of people now do it that way. At least I hear that more and more often.

Some people suggested mini pet could pick up your loot, maybe not a bad idea to add this.
Hm, yes, auto-loot buyable at Gem-shop. I would be in favor. But it should work, independently of mini-shown or not (as mini’s are e.g. out in WvW, as they aren’t made invisible by mesmer walls), and not depend on an animation of the mini running around (to much irrelevant stuff running around on my screen anyway).
I don’t really get the complaint. There is a mechanic in place for you to start these boss fights as you see fit, you just need to setup your guild to do so. Lots of people farm a personal guild for storage, find a group and set one up so you spawn world bosses.
Your problem is you want the mechanic in place to be free.
It’s only in place for the 3 bosses I cannot do with 2-20, namely Teq, 3H-Worm, Karka
http://wiki-de.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gilden-Welt-Event
I want this for all the others (Golem, Behe, Swanir Shamane, ….) as well, preferably available to all players (maybe for a small silver-feee), not only to guild officials of large guilds.
But I see. No one likes it (at least no one likes it enough to respond positively).
Before Mega-Server world bosses (outside prime) were fun. You had to do something for your reward.
But since Mega-server? World-bosses degenerated to be just:
- Ignore the pre, some will do it for you.
- build a group, to get loot in case you die before you managed to press 1
- press 1 once,
- die or not, doesn’t matter,
- cross-finger you do not get a DC
- collect loot
- jump to next boss, WP postet in chat.
This should be stopped! But in fact I don’t care, I am just asking for an alternative to escape this stupidity.
Why are you against it? What do you fear? Do you fear that you fail with this procedure, if all that like it a bit more demanding will do it on their own? Not unlikely when no one will do the Pre for you anymore
(edited by Dayra.7405)
How to fix….transfer servers? /sarcasm
As we are far from any balance, the transfer-fee should be set to 0.
Everyone should freely move at least once a week. And whenever a match drops below X man-hours per weeks in WvW-participation the server in it are dissolved. Done. Sooner or later we will end with some balance and around 6 server in NA and EU. Then transfer-fee can be added again to protect a new balance.
But currently transfer-fee only preserve imbalance.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
I don’t see the need to put them into a special instance, just run them on a normal map-instance, which resolves any pre-event complications.
Who cares (or even notice) that 10 people on an instance of Mount Maelstrom kill the Golem II while a scheduled Boss is running on another map? It just needs the restriction that you cannot start a boss manually 15min before it’s schedule-time till 5 min after it’s schedule
(edited by Dayra.7405)
Fixed schedule means: A mega-zerk moves around farming them.
Current unscheduled means: You have to wait for nothing happen.
I don’t like both. I especially hate the fixed schedule for it’s over-crowding.
Every boss started at every time means: you can go wherever you like with how many as you like and do it.
If there are other already on the map: join them or leave them (and come back in 15min) your choice.
I do not want a permanent farm of a single boss: Lot only once a day.
Another possibility:
Keep the current fixed schedule, bosses appear at that time and they are free. Add a NPC where you pay. If you pay at least 1-2s per person, you can get loot from the boss (otherwise not), if the NPChas collected 10-20s the boss starts.
My goal is simple: I want to be able to do them with 2-20 people and I hate being forced into the crowed of 100+. I prefer a failed try with 20 people over an guaranteed success with 100.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
There’s still that cooldown after a player starts them. If a group of players enters the map to do the boss, but doesn’t know how long the wait is for the boss and no one else on the map knows. Do they just stand there and spam the trigger function for 10+ minutes? Do they move on? Either way, there will be rage.
If a cool down is added, adding a clock wouldn’t be to difficult. So the start NPC shows: 10min till possible activation would be nice.
Hmm. Under this system, would you take away the failure timers that have been introduced? Or would the boss, as in the old days, stick around until it was defeated?
I don’t know. Both have their advantage. Another important thing is of course scaling.
Pre-Megaserver I did most bosses (except Teq, 3-H worm, Karka, Jormag) with 2-10 people: a demanding challenge but possible. Would be nice if this works, but no idea how the scaling is today, I never managed to face them with less than a 100+ blob since mega-servers.
This game has 27 World Boss events, only 13 of them are on the fixed schedule.
But you noticed that there is an essential difference between my proposal and the bosses not on fixed schedule.
The bosses not on fixed schedule start whenever the server likes to start them and no player knows when this will happen.
The bosses in my proposal start whenever the player want to start them
(edited by Dayra.7405)
and then waht happens? If all players can start a world boss, rumour spreads like the plague in the dark ages and you will end up with the same “overcrowded” issue. Although your idea is noble, I really think it doesnt work
At dredge it works!
And if the people that start the event WANT more people, they start rumors and taxis, so they may get more people. But if the people that do it, do not start rumors they are probably able to do it in a small group.
Anyhow, it will never be worser than today
- Event rewards appear magically on the right of my screen
- Heart-quests start without having to run to an NPC
- ….
And I like that.
Why do I have to care about grabbing loot? I mean Tyria has pets and golems and …. loot collection should be automated, it’s not really a big challenge, only routine and from time to time (especially in WvW) annoyance when you lie dead beside your steel chest.
I would not vote for loot-by-feed, I would vote for loot-to-inv!
Problem:
Since the introduction of the Mega-server World Bosses are timed and totally crowded. Neither is it fun/interesting to kill a world-boss in a crowd of 100+ nor does Gw2 work very well with 100+ people concentrated on the same small area.
- FPS breaks down
- Ping breaks down due to server overload
- A lot of people have DC/Client-crashes due to overload
- Mega-server technology has problems with the masses of people moving around in the world.
Also when a boss-kill is part of the daily quests it’s partially hard for those with limited time with each boss appearing only once every few hours.
Propoal:
Make world-bosses always startable by anyone after a 15min cool down. Tequatl, Karka and 3-H worm can already be started by guilds at any time. Add such an NPC to every so far timed boss (beside Teq and 3-H worm that should remain as timed bosses as they need that many people), starting the pre-events for that boss, but make it free (or cheap, some silver donation collection) to start for anyone.
Still the restriction to 1 bonus-chest per day and account and 1 boss-chest per day and char should be in place, such that farming them is severely restricted (maybe add champ-bag is only dropped, if boss-chest is available).
Why does it help
- As in principle all bosses are always available people will spread out further, you do not have to follow the general boss-kill mega-zerg (mega-zerg as it it much larger than the capacity of one map).
- You can do boss-dailies whenever you like and find enough people to do it.
- For dredge commissar (which is available every 20min) it already works very well, it has 10-30 people killing him (no fps/ping drops, no DC/crashes, …) not 100+
- People can organize world-boss tours as they like them, e.g. in a guild group, as a random group as a community TS and in a size they like, not being forced by mega-server into a 100+ crowd.
(edited by Dayra.7405)
Should happen more often
These uplvl karma trains in eotm are disgusting
Agreed, but should not be done as OG, but against OG.
At least in EU, red and blue have only 20 uplevels on the map against the 100 OG, this doesn’t really need further imbalance by guild-groups.
TLDR; It is impossible to balance populations in WvW. Therefore changes to the ruleset should be made to mitigate the negative effects of imbalanced population.
When John Corpening jumped into “Solution to fix the population imbalance” at Sept 2014 (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Solution-to-fix-the-population-imbalance/4437596) and “Scoring discussion” in Oct 2014
(https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Scoring-Discussion) at lot of interesting and good ideas came out.
A pitty that it had zero effect after half a year and it currently looks like it will have zero
impact at HoT-release. What a waste, all the effort for a new map in a game-mode that is broken and isn’t repaired.
Edit: I do not assume things about in HoT that aren’t announced (new WVW Borderlands is announced), and I assume it will not have much that isn’t listed in https://heartofthorns.guildwars2.com/en/ , but as this is an assumption I wrote “it currently looks like”

While you’re waiting for support response, I’d recommend changing your password just in case your account was compromised.
In that case: change your GW2-registered email account as well. It not unlikely that it’s compromised as well.
NA and EU are strictly separated (different mega-server PvE, different sPvP, different EotM, different WvW-leagues, different guilds^^) they only share the trade-post, you can move, but it will take some time, but you cannot access things that are on the other .
Worlds like TC have only 1 meaning anymore: They are different WvW teams http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups
otherwise it doesn’t matter on which server you are, you are “mega-server-merged” with either all NA-worlds or all EU-worlds. To role-play outside WvW (and partially EotM, you can join TC player in EotM, if you chosen world has the same WvW-color as TC) with TC-people you can choose any NA-world.
^^Someone knows what happen to your guild-memberships and especially your personal bank-guild if you move between NA and EU?
(edited by Dayra.7405)
Doesn’t it take 72 hours to get the first vault, guild stash, up and available? If you start the guild upgrades going as soon as the guild is made then your restrictions should end and the guild stash should be available at the same time. If the guild is only 48 hours old, unless you spent a lot of gold buying influence to speed it up, then you can’t access it anyway, as it’s not there to access.
bought a lot of influence
…and yeah to those who ask… its not that big of a deal… but I mean what is the purpose of preventing the guild leader from using his own guild bank?
What if the guild leader is a gold seller? This is exactly what these restrictions are about, keeping gold sellers from making guild vaults quickly as and using it to move gold around.
If only one person, ie the guild leader has access to the bank, how would he be moving anything around to anywhere but his own account?
Gold seller creates guilds ahead of time, deposits gold for a customer, invites the customer, makes him the leader. That and similar chains have to be delayed till ANet has checked the data, and can delete the bought gold before it got spend.
But I do not understand: If he hasn’t the right to get money from the guild, I think he also has not the right to deposit money in the bank! How does the money come in the guild bank, if it is his guild (created and leaded by himself) and his money?
(edited by Dayra.7405)
I would like to set my own personal limit how much I can spend in a single transaction out of my wallet combined with a warning if I try to spend more.
(Disabling TP error like buying to many or to expensive items by accident)
Deposition of money in the guild bank is a really bad idea! Your personal wallet is restored by ANet if you are hacked, your guild bank is not.
Of you talk about searching a good fight you probably dont mean rushing over someone with outmanned buf, do you? And if the enemy hasn’t outmanned bug nothing changes.
Outnumbered effect is simply useless in the current form:
+33% Experience
+20% Magic find
+25% World Experience
Take no armor damage on deathIf you want to make Outmanned-Buf useful, without hurting fights make it affect what really hurt the outmanning side: PvD
If you are outmanned you have:
Double upgrade speed for objectives
Half Supply demands for objective upgrades
+20 lvl for all NPC on the outmanned side
Twice as many NPC
Tripple life for walls, door and siege
no (5min) invulnerability buf for enemy lords
a 15min invulnerability buf for your lords (everything you turn lasts at least till tick)In summary to your suggestions, I think it would make a whole lot of people really annoyed to get “more pve”. I would be more interested in a gradual scaling of NPC’s myself to even out things a bit. But dislike some of your ideas here, like the RI changes. And feel the upgrades would be largely useless outnumbered.
Currently in off-time zergs jump around on the maps to cap stuff without resistance i.e. they actively try to avoid each other. So they CURRENTLY do a lot PvE/D as PvE/D as this is faster and gives more points.
The idea behind my proposal is: If you make PvD more effort than fighting each other, people may fight each other more and do less PvD

Yesterday I faced another attack on my Left Mouse button!
To craft the Hylek-weapon collection you need 1425 sun beads.
75 per weapon and they have absolutely no other sense in the game.
Neverthenless the karma-merchant sells them only one by one.
So I really wonder what drove the designer to make it the way it is.
75 buy clicks per weapon 1425 buy-clicks for the collection.
If it is used only in stacks of 75, why isn’t it sold in stacks of 75?
Some elements of the game are really anoying mouse-killing. Hard to see any other reason than sponsoring of mouse producers in them.
