I’m guessing you just read the thread I just sadly participated in.
And yes I’ve been tempted too. Especially the dual wielding legendaries guys.
Yup.
/15charrtownclothes.
I’ve been suppressing the urge to wish all of the Townclothes/DualLegendary complainers as much luck with ANet and as much courtesy and sympathy as we were shown in the Fractal Reset threads. The forums are a plague on my mind.
So I have a question. Where do all of the rares/exotics come from that you guys buy to throw into the forge? Cause if it comes from the TP, aren’t you guys still paying people who got “lucky” enough to find said rares/exotics? You’re still paying other people for a precursor in the long run… just in smaller payments, right?
Worlds don’t shine, though. Their suns do.
That depends. If the worlds are fairly close to the world of Tyria (say… in the same solar system) then the reflection from the sun could very well make a planet look like a star. Consider Mars, which looks like a bright red star, but it only shines because it reflects the sun. Early astronomers knew Mars was different because it “wandered” about the sky. It changed position relative to the stars around it.
Also, visual flickering in stars tends to be caused by atmospheric lensing or other disturbances.
In prison are you? The Asura are a rational people. If you are in jail then you deserve to BE in jail.
BAD DOG! Go sit in that corner!
Isn’t this the same Asura who also imprisoned a chicken*?
*I think it was a chicken, but I’ve not been in Rata Sum for ages.
It was probably a chicken that had leaped off the top of Rata Sum. Someone might say chickens don’t know the law. Well, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
And some chickens are evil. >.>
I once saw a great country folker singer, topped charts and everything. Turned out, a giant chicken.
Then there was this news reporter, who turned out to be a super who, you guessed it, turned out to be a giant chicken.
Chickens are evil
Was it a Chicken Boo?
If you do a run higher than your PRL, it counts as doing a run in your highest PRL Lvl, which in this case is the 31-40 range.
(Kuru, too many syllables in the last line)
Whoosh. The sound angers.
Don’t overwrite blasted might.
Wish you had Reflect.
:3 These haiku are looking awesome. I approve, even Joey’s non-haiku poem.
Complacent gardens
Disrupted by guns and bombs.
Calmed by Reflection.
Me and Jormag having a little photoshoot.
I have A LOT more awesome pictures if any of you would like to see, just let me know and I’ll share a few more.
I like the middle picture. Very pro.
ANet wouldn’t have been the first to eliminate the “copper, silver, gold” schema. FFXI did it (they only had 1 currency, named “gil”), and I’m sure other MMOs have done so as well. (Fond memories of some items being worth 30,000,000 gil.)
Honestly, the copper, silver, gold (and in some places, platinum) schema is well established. Yes, it may take a little while for first timers to understand that 100 copper = 1 silver (like 100 pennies = 1 dollar) and 100 silver = 1 gold, but once you have it, you should… have it.
Sadly, there isn’t any foolproofing that ANet can do to prevent a person from sending away their money. The universe can always build a better fool. Can they add confirmation screens? Absolutely. And people will still confirm that they want to send all their gold to some complete and total stranger. The question comes down to how much effort and inconvenience are they willing to build into the system versus the amount of complaints they’ll receive and have to deal with.
Edit: Consider this merely a life lesson that didn’t cost you anything more than some imaginary currency in a game. Always check twice when you mail/sell/purchase and item – whether in game or in real life.

Sounds rough. If only ANet had considered this and given people a onetime allotment of 1 Transmutation charge per sPvP rank they’ve earned.

Remember the Flamekissed Fiasco? Well, ANet sure does.
They’re replacing human females with inanimate harvesting trees, and you can role play with people who stop and chop. You have to buy charges to restock your supply of wood.
Hmmm. Human Females giving wood. I’m sure there’s a joke in there, but I can’t see it.
Really nice job! Now… do it again, but add in Chopsticks at the end!
My guild has a fun little thread dedicated to making poems. I thought it’d be nice to have a fun thread here doing something similar.
For my part:
Dragon’s Tooth hovers,
Promises of mighty blasts.
No. Chaos Armor.
And one from one of my guildies who sometimes lurks here (Tarug):
A hundred blades cut
through thin air. A chilling breeze.
Sigh. Gusted away…
Let me see what kinda haiku you guys can make!
Once upon a time when the game was younger I tried to use the mystic forge to make Zap. After about 8 gold worth of rares, I managed to make back 6 gold out of a few exotics that came back.
And so I said to myself, “Self, what are you doing? If you want a precursor, you either need to be smart or lucky, and you Know you aren’t lucky.”
So I responded to this wise person, “Self, those are wise words to live by. How about I instead research and find the most enjoyable way to maximize My earning power?”
After a few months, I put in a bid for zap and got it for 310 gold (way back when). A few months later, I resold it for 450 gold, then bought Dawn for 475 gold.
To make a long story longer: don’t rely on luck, you’ll only end up disappointed.
Finish the rest of your jumping puzzles.
Solo Lupicus.
A legendary weapon for each of your characters.
FotM 50 if you aren’t there yet.
Make the most amazing screenshots of all your characters.
Prediction:
*Chorus of yeses on the forum
*ANet puts in their updates “Good news! Commander tags now account bound!”
*People post complaints about wasting hundred of gold buying multiple commander tags.
Are you worried about your suit of legacy armor? Don’t delete your Norn yet. Come April 15th, there will be the wardrobe update.
someone in one of the anti-stack threads called stacking “playing like a coward” (LOL)..
so what about: “no playing like a coward”
Could one then say:
“Playing like a chicken” for stacking/skipping and
“Playing like a headless chicken” for nostack/noskips?
The weapons: hammer, great sword or long bow?
IMO the Longbow is the best.
Speaking of longbows, on a whim i used my only 2 paid tournament tokens to try for Dwayna’s Longbow in pvp. And I got it
So now I’m going to make a Dwayna bowbird ranger. Going to be fabulousss
; ; Please post pics! I failed on getting this for myself, ahaha.
What does “all things equal” encompass?
Both have their uses. On the occasions I wanted to use ranged, I used to use Rifle, but nowadays I tend towards longbow. The fire field and blast finisher are very good to have in party situations. If you need a root, you’ve got that on longbow. If you need a knockback, you’ve got that instead on rifle.
You know, FFXIV tried that. They had to destroy the world and re make it.
:3
Fortunately, I’m certain we won’t end up with the same combination of gears.
Your warrior’s starting to morph into mine, Iris. o_o;;
Also, for this pic, 1 or 3.
I once played Final Fantasy. Then I found out it wasn’t the last one. So I understand where you’re coming from.
Laurels were used in events and competitions in places like Greece to symbolize victory in these events. Think of a very leafy crown.

Thanks for setting up these challenges, Lilith, they’re a lot of fun!
TTS has done a lot for the community. Why not have the community volunteer Teq spawns for TTS while TTS builds influence to unlock their own Teq spawns eventually? There could be a coordinated agreement where X guild pops Teq for TTS with TTS hosting/coordinating.
Kawaii des~
I have one more that I was working on today, just for the fun of it. (My guild has been helping with this for the last 2 hours, so I wanna post our efforts!)
Springboarder: Genevieve Talbot Quaggans: Cynical, Hisa Tarug, Arisia Aeroval
Cliffside Fractal
Springboarding into the Springtime Quaggan Springs
They told me there was water down there!
Hey Lilith, what’s the deadline for submissions? Midnight EDT or PDT? Or something else?
We don’t have to have a permanent dungeon that follows the storyline of Destiny’s Edge. There could be opportunities for them to implement dungeons linked to different stories.
You’re not the only one wondering. There is no news on the horizon. Not a hint. Not a rumor.
Definitely true on the untraited wardens.
Projectile. But my suspicion was always that the projectile landed juust outside the shield and tagged me inside, I dodge roll anyways now because I got too paranoid one way or another.
Aren’t they all?
Kinda what I was thinking, though I’ve been bit with the head shake projectile even when I’ve had SotA up.
Wait, Iris, isn’t Bloomhunger’s poison cloud a projectile attack before it hits the ground?
Are you using Google Chrome? Open an Incognito window.
NINA! I posted our 5 ranger run! It’s on our forums! o_o;
Edit: And here too now. My guild being ridiculous!
Fought him earlier. His tells are a leettle bit harder to read cause his neck can sometimes obscure his movements.
Bobble Lupi Challenge!
I’d like to thank everyone who’s posted a reply to this thread, whether or not they knew why I made this post.
So full disclosure, I don’t hate champ trains at all, but I wanted to form a parody that would shine light on some of the anger and negativity that surrounds a completely different topic, which is the dungeon meta.
Many of you astutely noticed that I didn’t mention the subject ‘til the last line. And the rhetoric that I was imitating are common phrases that people post when they are upset that the meta doesn’t include the build they want to play.
“Abusing mechanics”, “Exploiting”, “New players coming across these elitists”, “What to kill, what not to kill”, “I play how I want”, “Play the game as intended. For fun.” Nobody wants to hear these phrases being told to them. As someone who strives and has fun excelling in dungeoneering, I read this all the time on the forums. And the advice and reactions that us dungeon delvers give usually reflects what you all have given to me. Consider each of these responses when talking about berserkers gear, skipping, stacking, using active defenses in dungeons.
I don’t care either way, but using the the word exploit is pretty lol worthy.
Actually
DigitalKirinpeople who say these things comes off as the elitist.
“Play the way I want you to play”
ZergZerker people bought the game too, and should be able to play how it is fun for them. It sounds boring tozergzerk all day, but if that is what they want it really does not harm anyone. Live and let live.
I could not agree more with this one. When people waltz into the dungeon forum and say that people need to stop exploiting by skipping/stacking, we always suggest they form their own parties and Live and let Live. Alas, some people cannot be deterred from the idea that ANet needs to do something about these “exploiters”.
I think he’s just someone who didn’t like
Champ farmsthe dungeon meta, then when they get nerfed tries to be as inflammatory as possible towards the people who liked them.
So true, right? People crow about how zerker being nerfed is proof positive that using this gear is an exploit. Such a callous thing to do, right?
Anyways, I hope you are really able to smile about this, and I hope I’ve brought some perspective to an issue that concerns me. Whether you enjoy the current meta game for dungeons or not, I hope this has been enlightening. I hope you enjoy your gaming, whether it be Champ Trains, WvW karma trains, running dungeons, or whatever else. See you all in game!

A verdant renewal comes to Orr. Even the lifeless ground of Arah may be touched by the gentle beauty of Nature.
Arah P3 just outside of Ascendant’s Bounty Waypoint, and TA Story right at the entrance.
Gawd, I’m gonna get you-know-whated-like-Wethospu so hard. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Thank-you-ANet-23
Thank you, ANet, for finally addressing this hot-button topic. I know it’s been on the minds of many players how unfair this situation is, and I’m glad you’re finally delivering a justly deserved nerf. Don’t let naysayers deter you.
Seriously, it boggles the mind how long these people have dominated the scene. Some people may say, “This is an undeserved nerf!” Or they may say, “We’ll keep going, nerf or not!” But you, ANet, say, “Nay, the nerfing’s just begun!”
After all, abusing the mechanics of the game this way… it’s practically – dare I say it? – an exploit. And oh how they exploit. Can you imagine how new players feel when they come across these elitists? Oh! The shouting, the gnashing of teeth. Saying what to kill and what not to kill? What ever happened to playing how you want? Yes, these exploiters have had their heyday. And now it’s time to move on. So thank you, ANet, for bringing this welcome change and a fresh breath of balance.
Now we can get back to playing the game as intended. For fun. Just how I know you want it to be played, ANet. Killing everything in our path and not just leapfrogging from one prizebag of HPs to the next. Thank you for fixing these Champ Train exploits.

:3 Related to your post, Ropechef.
Yesterday one of my guildies was going to level up his ranger. And one of my other guildies wanted to do FotM. So we made a FotM9 full ranger run. Play as you want. So I decided to bowbear it up! >:D
Thanks for the reply and clarification. To add to what Dean suggested, I’d say this:
Consider map completion Incidental to your goal of enjoying exploring content. When you get the urge to find random dynamic events, choose an area and start running to collect waypoints. Hit up dynamic events that happen around hearts (if you’ve done map completion enough times, you’ll know the ones that help fill out hearts). In other words, cherry pick the best/most efficient events so that you spend less time doing hearts, since it seems you don’t enjoy them as much.
Regarding dungeons: Get friends – even one friend is enough. Start a dungeon run or have your friend start a dungeon run and make sure to put in the comment: “Any Level Welcome”. If you Join a dungeon run, you’re saying that you are willing to comply with their rules. If you Make a dungeon run, you’re the one setting the rules.
Edit: Lastly, don’t be afraid to jump between your max level characters and your lower lvl characters. You don’t HAVE to get to lvl 80 in 3 days. Earn a level here, a level there. “Little, little, makes a lot.”
Why not just do random dynamic events, hunt for gear, participate in living story, do WvW to level up?
