You can RP any game, with or without emotes.
Sometimes when I am running through a starter area and come across a lowbie downed, I will revive them and then say something like “Be careful out here, these <monster type> don’t take too kindly to strange <insert race>.” It’s the only time I actually RP, that or if I’m with some guildies and we do it ironically. Secretly I enjoy it though. Especially on my Charr. I love saying “stupid human” to people.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
100% behind this idea.
I’m also in support of them adding a distance marker on targets. Would be nice to see exactly how far away a target is. Makes no sense why they don’t have this feature. Or grey out skills if your target is out of range. Nothing like blowing a big skill on a target that apparently was 1m out of range.

I would be in support of being able to transmute armor types for looks. Stats would of course need to correspond to the proper armor class, but the look is the look.
If they release a special transmutation crystal only available in gem store that would allow this I would likely buy several of them. Preferably it would be free, but what can you do.. They have to make moneh, it’s strictly a cosmetic thing.

Some common examples of noobs being noobs:
-I’m halfway through rezzing a downed ele and they mistform away
-There are several downed players nearby, along with numerous mobs nearby that die in seconds, and they don’t utilize the rally mechanics and instead hold ‘4’ for 30 seconds
-People who are dead and beg for a rez when there is a WP no more than 15 seconds away
-Guardians who farm with sceptre/shield
-Players who choose to go mine a node a few feet away while ignoring the half dozen of mobs who spawn in a farm event
-Players who knockback/push mobs after they get all clumped up together
-Players who build siege on outerwalls of a keep as soon as the gate comes downI’m sure there are more examples that happen, just can’t think of any now.
And they all infuriate me.
a) Good god yes, I hate when eles do that!
b) I can’t count how many times I’ve been yelled at for not rallying someone when I chose to attack the monsters that are almost dead around them, which is a way better/more efficient way to rally someone. Some people just don’t get it at all. Or worse is when I’m down, almost dead, a monster is near me almost dead, and I’m doing my best to DPS down that monster to rally and some ranged user near me, instead of simply attacking the monster to help me finish it, tries running over to me to revive me only to not make it and I die. I get the good gesture, but that is noob. When I see someone downed with mobs attack, I jump in and start DPSing like crazy on the lowest hp mob, if mobs are all fairly full, then I will revive standard way.
c) Or they stay dead and don’t say anything at all. Then when the fight is over and dust settles, start asking for a rez….
d) Not familiar with this one.
e) Never noticed this either.
f) Or knockback out of all of the AoE circles. Sigh…my GF is guilty of this. She will knockback as soon as I Hundred Blades too (by “mistake”).
g) Not familiar with this.

If it takes you 3 hours to do a daily, you’re doing it wrong.
1 hour, tops. 30 minutes for me.
Think he’s saying to do all dailies, all PvP, and all PvE ones. ~3 is about right depending on the categories. For the base 4 PvP dailies it is 45min minimum. To do all depends on if you win your solo/team tournie matches. Let’s face it you won’t win 100% of the time.
The 5 PvE dailies can be done in 15-20min, regardless of which ones they are if you know the best spots. To do all of the additional ones of course depends, but you can figure at minimum another hour. That’s 2hrs for all categories assuming everything goes perfectly, but that’s not the norm. 3 hours is a better estimate, and longer if you don’t feel like going at 100% pace the entire session.

5 Warriors can crush every single dungeon faster than any combo of classes
Uh, this is absolutely incorrect. Quad FGS is the fastest clear which requires 2 elementalists. 1 warrior for the banners and 1 thief to deal the highest damage w/improvisation.
The last class could be a warrior, but you’d probably be better off with a guardian or mesmer for the projectile reflection.
Projectile reflection, by the way, is the highest dps in the game, and warriors don’t have a practical means of providing it for the party.
It is indeed. Many zerk warriors don’t even think about the actual DPS that reflect skills can create, since it’s more like the mob is attacking itself, but reflect is absolutely awesome.
Runs with 5 Guards in various set-ups have been some of the easiest, fastest, most entertaining dungeon runs I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. I prefer that over 5 zerk warriors any day of the week. Heck, I would prefer 2 guards and then any other class make-up over 5 zerk warriors any day of the week. Not because it would be faster, but because it is just more fun and more inclusive, plus you’re pretty much guaranteed not to fail with decent players.

And didn’t know that they would be taken from the game on March 18 and thus did not use them.
I get it, I’m not happy about it either. But there’s nothing really to be done, sadly.
If you PvP and don’t use your Glory boosters shame on you.
If you don’t PvP, and were saving up your Glory boosters so that some day when you did PvP you could level up faster, then I dunno what to say honestly.
Are they really removing them from the game completely? Was there some kind of exploit related to them that they found out? Because +50% Glory is not game breaking, especially with the ridiculous number of ranks available in PvP.

I PUG every now and then. Sometimes I bring my zerk warrior, sometimes my cleric guard. Either way, if I’m in a group and they kick some poor guy who joined because he isn’t a) a warrior/guard or b) isn’t wearing zerk gear, I just leave the group, form up with the guy they kicked, and then find 3 normal players who actually understand that in GW2, any class and stat set-up will get you through any dungeon. Maybe not the absolute fastest, but certainly successfully and without wipes.
There’s no place for snobs in this game and I refuse to play with them personally.
I remember getting kicked out of a FoTM10 group because I didn’t have an Ascended backpiece (this was before Ascended armor/weapons). I had everything else BiS except the backpiece which was exotic. We are running level TEN, which is wtfez. Since I wasn’t absolutely BiS, I was booted. Couldn’t believe it. I was able to form a full group and start FoTM10, while those same 3 guys were still standing outside the entrance, “LFM exp players”-ing. Idiots…
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
Almost every day I do at minimum the 4 PvP dailies (~45min), and the 5 regular dailies (~15-20min). Once I finish the core stuff above, I take a look at what else is available. Usually there are another 2-3 that can be done really quick as well.
So on a typical day I get around 10AP, usually done in less than 90min.
Now the people that are getting 20+AP each and every day, that’s serious dedication and would almost certainly take 3-4hrs.

So how do we all rate the end of LS season 1
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Draknar.5748
I’m a pretty big fan of GW2, but honestly, I would rate this final LS update as a 5/10.
The bugs really hurt them. Some of them it really makes it seem like they didn’t check this stuff thoroughly beforehand.
Also not a fan of the new change to the Knights. Decent idea, but just isn’t practical. You absolutely need all 50 people, which is not guaranteed, and in actuality, becomes less and less likely with each passing day as players lose interest. The Knights just don’t scale properly with less people. Not the way to approach temporary content.
What I did like was the actual story line, the Enemy Controlled LA, the hologram boss fight, the final cutscene.

[Event] Frustrations with Knight fights.
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Draknar.5748
There has definitely been a marked decrease in the successful Knight’s attempts when I’ve been playing. Typically now we can down 2 of them, but that 3rd one is at 75% or something ridiculous with no time left.
I’m very disappointed with the change. I like the idea of a server working together, but if the event pretty much requires 50 people at each Knight to succeed, there is going to be a real problem. The same thing happened with Marionette. Week one was easy to get those numbers. Once EoTM came out, you’d be lucky to get 3full rows of people. It’s the same thing here. You might get one or two of the Knights going with 50 people at each, but then the 3rd Knight has 10-20 people. By the time two Knights are down, there just isn’t enough time to play catch up because there’s a cap on the number of people that can DPS the last one.
Overall, poorly implemented change. Looks good on paper, fails in practice.

An interesting notion to all those defending this game in it’s current state.
Ask yourself this.
If ALL things remained the same content wise would you still be playing this game if it was released with a subscription payment model?
I have a feeling the resounding answer to this question will be no.
If the game provides perceived value and enjoyment – the payment model really shouldn’t matter to most consumers as prior games have proven.
Personally I would not. I might if everything in the gem store was available for free if there was a sub. I honestly fee the focus of the gem-store is because there is no sub. If this game was subbed, odds are the gem store stuff would be given out through some other type of content. But that’s speculation.
I can also say, that I wouldn’t pay a sub for any MMO at this point, GW2 included. I’ve been burned by too many with subs: WoW (in its current state), Aion, SWTOR, RIFT, CoH/CoV, DCUO, which coincidentally all have gone F2P except WoW.
At this point in the life of the MMO genre, having a sub is pretty much a death warrant. All that have tried starting with subs have moved to F2P because that’s what people expect now, and also what pays the bills (cash shop). WoW is the anomaly of course.

I believe she formed all of those alliances to be able to have a force strong enough to defend her while she looked for, and then ultimately found, the ley lines that would awaken that dragon. Speculation being that she has been controlled by that Elder Dragon this entire time.
I take it the dragon knew that she wouldn’t be able to accomplish all of this on her own without all of the heroes of Tyria stopping her before completion, so she needed a bunch of allies (the various alliances) to attack/defend/distract while she finished her awakening task.
I never played GW1, I haven’t read anything additional for lore, this is what I’ve gathered/surmised from playing the LS events, watching the cutscenes, and reading the dialogue between characters.
I believe what I’ve described is the basic plot. I felt everything was explained pretty well, I’m sorry you didn’t pick up on this stuff.

Yea, but couldn’t the same be said for GW2? If you don’t want to grind, you get full exotics and you are done. You can complete every dungeon path, you can WvW, you can do every fractal, up to a certain difficulty level (which if you are casual that’s all you care about anyway) Plus, you can be fully geared in exotics within 10min of hitting 80.
If you want to be more hardcore you can go for Ascended gear and run FoTM50, which is really the only real application for Ascended gear right now. WvWvW does not require Ascended gear. If you want to roam in a small group attacking other small groups, sure there is a use for it, but if you are like most players and play the meta, Exotic gear is more than enough to attack/defend in zerg mode.
It literally is as casual or hardcore as you want it to be, so I’m not quite sure how you can claim it isn’t.

I played Morningthaw, from 1999-2004, WoW is what pulled me away from AC. What a great game. You wanted to level? You go out and you hunt. None of this quest business. Players today would whine so hard about grind if a game worked like AC did, but it was so awesome. I still have nightmares involving the thump thump thump of a group of tuskers charging at me.

For the people who are against housing, what are your thoughts on Guild Halls? (assuming it’s somewhat like the Guild Halls of GW1)
I would accept Guild Halls instead of Player Housing for sure. They are the people I’d want to hang out with anyway. Maybe you can eventually upgrade it to have crafting stations, laurel merchant, activity person, merchants, repair guy, class trainer, TP, bank, etc. Possibly even gathering nodes. (likely a gem store purchase, but I have no doubt the guild would pool gold together to convert to gems for this)
Would be awesome.

You can take a break in sub games too. No one forces you to finish out the rest of your sub if you don’t want to.
Difference is in a sub game, like WoW, you might waste a few bucks if you take a break. But you can come back and all content is waiting for you. Hardly anything, if anything, is ever temporary in a sub based game…
In GW2, you won’t be wasting a few bucks but you WILL miss out on temporary content, which is most of all content patches.
Good points, but I can tell you, as someone who happened to take a break while playing WoW and came back. Good luck trying to do the old raid content. Nobody is even interested in it because the drops aren’t the latest tier. So, in effect, you do actually miss out on that content. Sure it’s there, but there is no incentive for anyone to run it and you can’t do it alone.

Even Asheron’s Call housing system was pretty legit til the population of the game died down.
You, sir, are now one of my favorite people. I loved AC, and I loved the player housing they created for it. You had little neighborhoods (or lived in apartment buildings if you were poor). No joke I would hang out with my neighbors because your house can be out in the middle of nowhere with 6-10 other houses and you walk around to your neighbors and make friends and check out their stuff. Was pretty awesome.
I even remember how to get to my house, you had to go to Lytlethorpe, then run southwest for 5-8 minutes (depending on your Run skill, god I loved being able to upgrade run speed— and jump skill too for that matter, nothing like jumping over treetops from a standstill, so awesome)
It was also first come first served, which was an interesting way to do housing. You wanted to get a house? They would randomly become available, you had to find the neighborhood which could be anywhere, find out what the random item was that needed to be collected to turn in for a Writ of ownership then beat everyone else to turning it in. Also you paid a hefty fee of course. Was an exhilarating scavenger type hunt. Still gets my heart pumping thinking about it. Luckily the item I needed for my house I happened to have on me already so I got the first one!

WoW is just as mediocre as it’s always been. This game, warts and all, is much better to me. It has its problems, but it’s a better game. However, OP, if you didn’t like it before, I’m not sure you’ll like it any better now. Unless you like WvW and want to check out the new Edge of the Mists map which a lot of people like.
Oh really? How is it a better game? Because it has no sub and looks pretty?
GW2 is the grindiest game I’ve ever played and seems geared towards people who have OCD over completing checklists.
You have little experience in MMOs I take it, if GW2 is the grindiest game you’ve ever played.
Maybe WoW has changed things since the last time I played, but don’t they still keep coming out with new tiers of gear? So the PvP set you are grinding for in BGs (yes you are grinding), will become obsolete when the next set comes out, requiring you to grind some more?
That was why I quit WoW (when WotLK came out) in the first place, getting tier after tier, only to continuously become obsolete when the next patch came out. That got old real fast. I was a die-hard WoW fan, bought it midnight the day it came out in 2004, hard-core raider up through WotLK, and just got burned out having to keep regearing. It’s nice finally having a definitive end to gearing.

I’m starting to think this also applies to the small holograms as well, because I am 100% sure I never hit the Prime Hologram at all, just so I could get the achievement. I just ran around rezzing people for that part of the fight.
When the next phase came, I DPS’d the small ones, definitely wasn’t using proper attunements every time, and then when it was all said and done I didn’t get the achievement.
So, my conclusion is that not only do you need to hit the prime hologram with the correct attunement, you need to hit every hologram with the correct attunement during the encounter.

Let’s all speculate!!
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
In zerg content, nobody cares what everyone is wearing or what level they are because there are so many people = everyone happy.
People do care, it’s just that there’s 5000 people around that it’s impossible to see what’s going on, or to pick out the up levels. It’s too much effort so people don’t bother. And that’s what’s happened to guild wars, zerg, 1 mash, don’t need to care about thinking or strategy or tactics or even gearing and buffing properly, just 1 mash and zerg.
Which makes it all the more inclusive of everyone. If the GW2 player community as a whole was more accepting of lower level characters and non-cookie cutter DPS builds, we might see a different type of content. But as it stands, small exclusive group content excludes pretty much everyone because there is some phantom rule that if you aren’t 80 and not in full DPS gear that you simply will not be able to contribute to the team and are wasting everyone’s time.
I do guild runs with alts and invite all of our non-80s to attend, and we can complete any dungeon path we like, and yes this includes non-80 Rangers with a potpourri of yellows and greens, so I know that it can be done.
But heaven forbid that same Ranger, who just ran let’s say a TA U/U path successfully tries to join a PUG group for the same path. He’d be kicked out of the group for sure because a) he’s a ranger b) he’s not 80 and c) since he’s not 80 he couldn’t possibly have Exotic/Ascended gear, let alone exclusively zerker.
This is why dungeons are pretty much ghost towns outside of the speed runner/farmers who run them.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
I agree OP…
@wolfpaq: No you can’t simply take a break. Then you miss out on all of the content that was temporary. I have experienced this first hand. I missed out on entire vents such as SAB. The whole line of “take a break and come back you wont miss anything” is a load…
Nobody said you wouldn’t miss anything, but you can certainly take a break. Clearly you are an AP hunter, in which case you really can’t take a break, because then you gasp might miss out on AP and skins that will fill your bank!
But to OP, you can take a break. I took a break from Dec-January, almost two full months. I played a bunch of single player games, some FPSs, etc. Now I’m back and play every day, refreshed. Ok so I missed all of the Xmas event. Didn’t get any skins or minis or whatever it is people got during those events. Do I care? Nope.
I missed most of Gauntlet last year as well, didn’t get skins, didn’t get that cool mini, didn’t care.
It really depends on what kind of player you are. At this point, honestly, think to yourself. Are you happy with where your character is? Do you really care about any temporary skins/minis that might be released? If that stuff really isn’t a big deal, then you have the power to take a break.
If you are the type of player who would never even consider a break because you simply must have all of the AP, skins, minis, potions, titles, etc from these LS events, then you are a slave to the game and you just need to keep doing your dailies for 15min each day and AP hunting. Sounds like a boring way to play a game, but you ultimately have the final say in what you do.
Missing a LS update was the best thing that could ever have happened to me. Once you miss one, you really don’t mind missing any of them. Heck I didn’t even finish the meta for Escape from LA. Didn’t even phase me, and I have over 11000 AP!

It’s working as GW2 has intended IMO with little to no reward for work/play done.
While I don’t agree with such a general statement, it is true that GW2 is rather lacking when it comes to rewards versus effort put in.
I think they feel that players are cool with only getting blues, greens, and yellows as rewards, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. I just don’t see why they wouldn’t replace guaranteed Rares from events with guaranteed Exotics.
I mean seriously…at this point Rares are like Masterwork, nobody cares.

+1 Pipra
both of the achievements for the Prime Hologram are just illogical. Why would u have an achievement that makes people either stay away from the fight so that they won’t get hit or not hit the enemies only because if they do it without all attunements they will lose a chance to get the achievement (“In Tune” achievement).
Definitely agree with this one. Anet should have assumed if they create an achievement that requires you not avoid/not do something, players will find the easiest way to do it, i.e. hanging out in the back safe from any damage and not even risk attacking.
I just wish I was at the round table discussion on these achievements so I could kick whoever suggested them out of the room.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
after 2 days spent on it I’m already done with it.
Better question is, how many hrs did you spend getting all the achievements? Anything over 10 hrs would be a lot of content for the average player to consume in 2 weeks.
No, the real question is how much time do I really want to put into this. After logon, it took me 35 minutes to kill Scarlet. Do I need to farm her 640 times to feel that I am getting something out of the LS, I killed her once and I’m done with the LS already I don’t care for farming or achievements.
If you’ve killed her and you’ve got your Ascended back piece and helm skin, then you pretty much are done with this 2-week LS.
Personally I’ve put in 3 hours so far into Battle of LA and have yet to kill Scarlet or get my Ascended back-piece. I can foresee at least another 10hrs of playing before I accomplish both of those. I’m also an AP hunter, so even more hours will be spent trying to get those. That is nothing to scoff at for a 2-week update.
It comes down to this: for players that don’t care about achievements and just want to do the main story, it will end quick. For players who want to do all of the side stuff, it will be substantial.
It’s like playing Skyrim, you could actually finish Skyrim’s story line pretty quick (~8hrs), or you could spend time to get achievements and do side quests and play for 100hrs+. Depends how you play.

TP flipping can be lucrative if you find the right commodities. I’ve been making good money flipping dyes, however you don’t want to stick to one thing, because people will catch on and the market will become less attractive.
The more you play the game the more you will find out what items are good items to try to flip. Plus there are methods you can probably look up online to quickly check Buy Orders and Sell Orders to see if it would be worth your time.
Guaranteed good farming would be doing dungeon paths. Thaddeus listed all of the quickest to complete. If you can get a routine going of hitting those dungeons you will make money in no time.
Hope this helps.

The problem is that casuals will rarely PUG, if ever. The elitist zerker crowd has effectively scared off all of the casuals. Cool, awesome for the zerker speed runners I guess, but in the end, 5-man content will take a back-seat to everything else because the majority of players, who are 100% casual, will not do that content. I mean think about a casual player who might be unguilded. Some new 5man dungeon comes out. They check LFG, join a group: a) if they aren’t 80 they will be kicked and b) if they aren’t wearing zerker, they will be kicked. Now this doesn’t just apply to the unguilded, but also to small-medium guilds that don’t have regular dungeon runs. That is a large % of the player base.
Like someone else said, Anet will focus updates and create content for things the majority of players want to do. Namely large scale zerg content that you can jump in, get a bunch of loot and EXP, and then move on.
For starters non-80s can participate with impunity. Have you tried joining a group for a dungeon, even AC which is a level 30-35 dungeon, when you aren’t 80? You’re pretty much kicked out of the group immediately.
In zerg content, nobody cares what everyone is wearing or what level they are because there are so many people = everyone happy.

Also isn’t the whole a greater villain than the first villain is a trope/ cliche anyway?
Normally, but correct me if I’m wrong, I never played GW1, aren’t Dragons kind of the main bad guy in this universe? If so, then it isn’t cliche, but rather in line with their universe’s narrative. Assuming dragons in GW1 could direct others to do their will, which I’m led to believe was possible.
If that’s the case then this was a great way to introduce this dragon and “dragon champions” whatever those are, to people new to the GW world, as well as a tip of the cap to people who are already versed in the GW lore.

17 though.. I think it’s unreasonable of you to expect to be able to equip all of them with ascended gear.
Unreasonable??? I think it’s unreasonable to expect every new generation to be less than the previous one in game. There’s little incentive to create new characters then. And please, someone might think, “Wow, I can finally gear this character in 2 years!” as a good thing but, surely I do not.
I’m honestly curious: what incentive was there for you to make 17 chars in the first place? Obviously you made them before this backpiece even existed, so it’s not like there is less incentive, there just isn’t any additional incentive.

Yes, you’re THAT kittenhead.
…..this is directed towards me?
Some mobs have buggy leashes. If that were the topic of OP’s post this would be in a different sub-category, maybe titled: Champion in X area leash range not working properly! Resets too quick!
That’s not what this topic is about. This topic is about wanting to remove HP reset when a monster, specifically champion, leashes, which implies it was pulled out of its aggro range. When working normally, the aggro/leash range is more than adequate to solo a melee champion. This is a fact. Many people can solo melee champions in this game.
Or do you operate under the assumption that if someone is unable to accomplish something difficult in this game that it simply must be bugged and that’s that. It couldn’t possibly be that a player mistakenly pulled it out too far, nope that couldn’t be it at all…
The only way to know for sure is to have OP say exactly which Champion he was trying to solo, then we can all go out there and see if it is a buggy leash, or lack of spatial awareness while fighting.

Yes, you have a hidden MF rate that slowly raises when you stop playing consecutively. Like when SAB last released 3 of my friends who haven’t played in months got weapon drops in first run (one got one in very first chest opened) while I got none in 100+ runs.
If its hidden, then how can you state it so concretely?
Just to use your own example. When SAB came out the second time, I got a weapon on my first, third, and sixth run. A guildie got 3 super greatsword skins in 12 runs. Both of us play every day.
Another guildie, who had been on break since the February before and was just getting back and ran SAB with us, at my insistence because I think its awesome, got nothing, in every run we did. He probably ran it 50 times with us over the course of SAB. I ended up with something like 11 skins, somehow that other guildie I mentioned had gotten 20+ skins, and he had gotten nothing, zilch, nada.

I have a theory: I propose that from start (placing your LFG ad) to finish (clearing dungeon), overall time would be faster if you accepted anyone, than if you waited around booting people for not having your gear requirements.
I mean is it better to have a 15min run, but you have to wait 15min to form your awesome super group, or a 20min run but you start instantly? Let’s also assume you are playing with experienced players, just no zerker gear, so absolutely no wipes.
If the whole point of zerker gear is for run speed, then clearly use of time is important, so how much time is wasted filtering out “non-zerker noobs” so you can actually start your run.

Anyone else notice the lack of Charr characters in these lists?

Stop kiting them so far from their spawn point?
Every MMO I’ve ever played had monster reset if you pull too far. That’s par for the course.
How exactly is 10 meters from spawn point “too far”? Not to mention that the “other MMOs do it too” is a pretty bad argument to me.
It’s not a bad argument, it’s a good argument, because it means that multiple companies, over years of doing MMOs, have realized this is the best option to prevent people from exploiting big bosses by kiting them WAY too far from their spawn points, possibly into towns, or to to get them bugged into a weird spot.
I’m curious how you figured 10 meters is the distance before it resets. Is there a metric for measuring distance I’m unaware of? From a spawn point you can stand at the 1500 range mark (max range for ranged users) and it will not (should not) reset. This also means, that you can attack from anywhere inside that 1500 range circle with the the enemy spawn point as the center. If you cannot kill a champion with all of that space to move around, then you cannot kill that champion 1v1. With chill, cripple, immobilize, dodges, aegis, or whatever it is you have at your disposal, you should be able to kill a melee Champion within a 1500 diameter circle. If you cannot, then you simply don’t have the skill to.
Anyone can kite a Champion forever until it dies, not everyone can kill a Champion while remaining in that aggro circle.
It honestly sounds like you find it too hard to solo champions and want it to be easier.
They are considered Group content for a reason..

Two male or female Sylvari getting together would be more common to see, because as I understand it, Sylvari don’t really have gender, since they don’t have reproductive organs as far as I know.
