This is reaching a point of toxicness, normally I only find that the enemy has 2-3 condition users, some other times 4. But to cross a 5 condition team TWICE in a row?

CMON ANET, is this the balance you want to reach? Passive conditions ticking you to death? Do you really think people will tune in to a twitch channel tournament to see people running around and watching their enemies drop in a few secs while they lay there, hopeless like a fish?

I think this is out of control, this NEEDS to be fixed ASAP.

Suggestions; nerf the heck out of bleed and how they are applied. Give condition another stat, it is very unfair to have its scaling come from only one stat and get to have all defensing stats too. Both boons and conditions need some tuning; they went from “use at tactical moments” to “spam that hoe when it comes off CD, usually 8 seconds on the auto attack”

Please anet, i want plays, PLAYS, not ticking people to death. I alrady had to reroll a condi warr, thats not what I want to play. I enjoy healers, supporters, spikers.

No, Im tired of being “polite”, everyone is. Im being “constructive”; im warning you of whats wrong before whatever PvP community you have leaks out.

Well written and thought out, I liked how it wasnt a pure bashing. It exposed some interesting points, but as you said yourself; it will most likely than not get ignore, again, like always. I have come to the conclusion that Anet has the forums and the CDI as palcebo effects for the community, so that they think they are actually contributing, so that they vent their frustration. As you ntoed with the ranger changes; they dont always listen to reason, in fact, I would say the few changes the community “made” were no more than changes they already thought themselves and then realized the community also did.

At this point this is conjectures on my part and Anet will neither agree nor disagree with any of this.

However, put quaggans/thiefs/warrios on the tittle and you might get attentions

i understand perfectly so don’t make assumptions and the banker express is a nearly identical concept to what you are asking for as well have the same group of 4-5 people that have made different versions of this thread half a dozen times or more. it’s not gonna happen.

What does it affect you? If you dont fancy it then dont comment on it or simply dont buy it. Some of us want convenience, and what you are saying is NOT the same, plain and simple. I want to share it among all my characters, one-time buy. I have casted my votes several time with money that I wont buy a consumable items. I bought all the gathering tools because they were long term, I bought the passes because they were constant, I bought the salvaging tool because it was constant. I wont buy those consumables because I change my characters more than 5 times a day.

If you dont like, turn a blind eye to the half dozen threads that have been posted already and the half thousand that will be posted from here on, im sure it WILL happen just like the gathering tools and the salvaging tool and the passes, the question is when, and Im letting Anet know that I want it now than later.

But why should we turn a blind eye to you cluttering the forums with multiple threads for the same topic?

dunno, but I checked the first 2 pages of the forum and I found none on this. Unless someone bumps it now and says “Hey! look it is there!” ther eis nothing for me to believe that this is a topic done before.

Lets analyze the last time this was done; shark farming during the LS at the suncove; BAM nerfed next patch. Spider farming, bam, nerfed, ice giants bam nerfed, etc etc.

Basically you want them to charge 2k gems for a bag that is more or less a storage tab in the bank? lol

I have minis, infinite salvage kit, infinite potions, etc.

Liadri is a one thing mini, I have 3 characters I play interchangeably, in order for me to use those mini/potions I have to depesite them on the bank, log out, get my other character, go to the bank, retrieve, and go back where I was, 3 loading screens for minis, 4 for potions and utility items. My PC blows, it takes 1 minutes or so for each loading screen, and I change characters….A LOT. This saves me time and gives Anet $ since I buy my gems only with $ as does many other people who want to support the game.

It works quite simple; A bag that is shared among all characters (except character in the starting zone), 20 slots, cannot contain soulbound items.

I will let you decide the price, although 2000 gems seems fair to me.

Why? Why not. Im already cycling many things among my characters, you might as well make a profit out of it and give me the satisfaction of halving my work.

Normal d/p crits for 4k easy by spamming shadow shots. Backstab is just icing vs mesmers for when they go invis/invuln, they have no hope when you are stuck to them like glue.

The commonly used teleports for a d/p thief are steal (21s cd, used for opener, daze) and signet (24s cd) both instant. Nearly every thief is going to run shadowstep which can also be used offensively if you work up an advantage and are sure the fight will end before return expires. Then there is shadow shot which is unfortunately not instant cast but at least blinds and follows with a large hit (or backstab if you are invis) and can be used any time you have LoS.

S/d usually has 35s cd steal but still has signet, shadowstep, and weapon teleport, plus flanking strike is a better homing attack than heartseeker. You generally use swiftness and dodges/evades to stay close and need to hit teleport only for large gaps like blink or if you are hit by knock back. I have destroyed many mesmers when I snap back instantly from being knocked away it is quite satisfying

This is very correct.

They have too many gap closers on very small CD (no CD actually), backstabs is probably the single most unfair spell in the game(notice I said unfair, not Op, maybe the skill is balance although I dont beleive so, but the skill feels very unfair and toxic)

Ele says hello with just Burning and Bleeding. So we have even less so why is ours LESS duration? then again Warrior have better health, armor, mobility and damage and a very broken Healing Signet…

the answer is quite simple;

it is warriors / ele we are talking about

If there is something I have learn playing since Beta is: Warriors gets all nice things and ele gets the boot.

Mobility? Well, sword #2 on warrior or GS #3 & #5 is a RtL minus the entire “double the CD if it doesnt hit”. Oh but its ok, eles have great regeneration without having to burn any CD, have the highest Hp and armor in the game, couple with point-and-click skills and can escape at will, on top of 7 secs huge PBAoE stun and blast finishers….oh wait..

If the siege can see the player, then the player should be able to see the siege. If the siege is at 1200 range from the player and it is hitting the player, then the player should be able to target the seige.

I havent seen any information about this in any patch. As far as Im concerned there are still non-punished “enhancers” which allow you to shoot from corner, from very far away of any conceivable line of sight and behind doors, which, in my opinion and anyone who cares for the health of WvW, should NOT be allowed.

  • You will win 1v1 confrontations you enter from stealth.
  • You will lose if you are ganged up on

This is the stamp mark of a scissor/paper/rock gameplay, which we can all agree is very toxic to a skill-based game.

Also, if you seriously believe numbers mean much to thieves, I highly recommend you to see a good or at least decent thief in a fight; stealth/evades/teleports almost always guarantee that the thief will get away most if not all of the time.

Only bad thieves who fight 4 v 1 tend to lose. 1 thief is more than enough to keep a group of players busy spamming AoE and swinging swords in the air like rave party idjots until they give up.

same here. One of the reasons (minor, the biggest being that 11/10 necros I see in dungeons are conditions, which ignore the “damage” tag on the description and thus get the boot instantly) I dont like necros in my party is because of how deceiving this is, specially in a PvP enviroment where you have to be managing your support spells (im a guard)

Short answer: warrior/guardian

Long answer: Still warrior/guardian
Why?
Simple, unless you are in an organized group, most of the time, people stand behind a commander. If the commander cant lead by example, cant resist fire, cant hold its ground, then usually the fights that ensue (or dont at all) are very messy.

Guardian and warrior both have the capability of going very tanky while still being very useful in a zerg.

Reference : im a WvW commander.

Disclaimer: Any class can be commander, but when it comes to best nobody beats heavy classes in soldier/valkyrie gear.

The only reason why you “like” them is because they are scarce. Same reason Legendaries were the big thing back in the days.

Soon, after everyone and their family members have their own “pseudo legendaries” (as you wrongly call them) you will consider them as meh as you consider legendaries.

Sadly, thats how human mind works; appreciate things not for what they are worth, but for how special they make you feel.

mind u most thieves go for sa as it is your only condition removal
and if the element is quick and the thief does not get out quick enough u can kill them .

Im sorry, but you are wrong. We can tell from your posts that you dont know what you are talking about and that you are a thief and probably a WvW player.

In no world other than thief-cry-land will a RtL ever one hit a thief leave alone outdamage a backstab. Thieves can LITERALLY one stab an elementalist out of the blue. There is no skill ceiling there. Now, you tell me, do you think it is skilful to pop a shield with 75 secs CD and have it say “block block block 10k backstab 4k HS, respawn” ?

There is no balance in that, if you cant see that then please, abandon thread, because despite all the “nerfs” thieves have received, the giant buffs with initiative, and despite all that, they still are at the top of the food chain in the DPS race, you can only imagine just how beyond out of control they were before.

If a mesmer loses to a thief, then the mesmer is just plain bad. Mesmer is by far the best 1v1 class.

I think you missed the point of this point;

two of the most ‘famous’ pro players (highly regarded as civilized, open minded and reasonable man) quit their mesmer class in a rather ‘ragey’ way over their channels and rerolled to thieves due to the amount of unbalances and apparent favoritisim towards certain classes such as warriors and thieves. They are now rolling thieves themselves.

There were around 3 eles ‘pros’ that did the same a few months ago. Of course no one remembers anymore because in forum’s time thats ages, but it has happened, it is happening and it will keep happening if things continue this way.

HECK, even devs themselves admitted in a stream that thieves were driving away mesmers and elementalists from this meta.

I think we can all agreed that currently thieves are stealing (no pun intended) all the attention when it comes to damage dealer/roamer/squishy.

Their OP superb damage coupled with spammable blinds, teleports, dodges, stealth, backstabs is driving to extinction the few eles and mesmers that remain (today we lost 2 top mesmer players due to this, on top of the countless nameless elementalists which plead for fixes long time ago after getting the boot up their …..feet)

Backstabs, without any kind of interaction on the taker other than bending over and taking it regardless of skillfully blocking it, blinding or evading the attack.

Blinds, which reapply on literally every second and then there is the fact that every ranged skill on thieves (except autoattack) applies a blind through this field.

Teleports that cure conditions and break stuns, rendering any form of CC, soft or hard, useless. On top of not only having one, or 2, or 3, or 4 , or 5……. just as many as initiative permit, on top of 2 freebies on low CD.


You cant give one class all the best tools for survival regardless of stats, give it the best single target damage and then allow it to take anybody else’s role and call it a day.

Suggestions; blind fields, same treatment the earth storm ele got; once every 4 seconds.
Teleports, increase initiative cost, give it 1/2 or 3/4 seconds precast, 1/2 activation.
Damage and boon stealing; needs an ICD and the damage needs some shaving down, specially spamable skills, something not along the lines of 8%, but rather 15-25%.
Backstab needs to be an opener, apply 10-15 vulnerability stacks to help vs bunkers but have normal or only slightly augmented damage to not be so upfronted.
Thoughts?

Agreed; on evade, on miss and on block. If the person is actively trying to counter the attack then it should be rewarded specially since it takes a WHOLE lot of experience and skills in order to pop the evade/blind/block at the right time considering there is absolutely no counter to stealth, and the stealthed person currently loses absolutely nothing in the current way of things

Im not exactly sure what is the point of this thread, but I will bite;

I still believe this is not enough. The fact that we are still TO dependent on cantrips makes eles slaves of water/arcane. Their healing has been hit too much. I would like to see skills getting their CD reduced, animations reduced, healing being stronger and I mean being REALLY strong because thats our defense, because unlike other classes we lack constant blinds and teleports, aegis, clones, huge hp bar, double huge hp bar, stealth, etc…

“I voted for ranger… it’s fun losing all the time…” said no one ever.

Based on that logic, eles shouldnt even be there, yet, not only are they not last, but they are first.

And trust me, nothing screams “losing” louder than having an ele in your PvP team.

It is all about how much fun the class has and personally Im not surprised that the classes with the most buttons to press are the ones on the top. Personally I think that Anet dropped the ball a little bit when they decided to give us only 9 skills on the bar and 5 of them tied to weapon…

Let me get this straight; you want to nerf the only thing eles do in any PvP enviroment?!

Whats next, reducing their health pool to minimun, give them light armor, nerf their healing in every patch and make all their skills have 40+ secs CD with highly telegraphed and long casting animations?!

Conditions.

Remove berserker stance. Make it do 25% more damage and reduce armor by 25%.
Attach condi immunity to healing signet. Slowly drains available adrenaline until out of adrenaline. Immune to condis while it’s up. 3 adrenaline a second drained.

I’ve solved the Warrior class.

Have you seen how much adrenaline generation warriors have? With this they would quite literally be permanently immune to conditions as long as they are either hitting or being hit if they took cleansing ire and signet of rage, and possibly one other generation trait. I don’t think this would really make them weak to conditions…

They said that eventually they would do it, starting first on sPvP and them moving on to different areas of the game. Personally Im very excited to see that and open world dueling on Gw3 2016 !

Although I would like to have it for personal use, I would not like it to have it for open source. I can only imagine the LFG going something like; 10k+ DPS only.

Well,just for reference, I just picked up a warrior, geared it and traited it without any kind of knowledge…… I have won 6 out of my last 7 games thanks to it……… I mean, can any other profession have such a lenient learning curve and still let good players shine as much as this?! Oh well, consider me out-cheesed. If you cant beat them…..

Can someone please explain to me what are warriors true weakness?

Conditions? Highest base Hp in the game, passive condition cleansing, countless other condition cleansing.

Kiting? Try kiting a hammer or a sword or GS warrior….. with dolyak or any of their plenty other immunities to CC and/or conditions

Outrun them? how can you outrun the king of mobility….

Damage wise they are wrecking trains, can fulfill literally any role in a party, pack incredible crow control, easy-click-and-sit-back brain dead near unavoidable skills that take entire points, or that home you without guardian’s scepter or eles’ stupid staff auto attack AI. Teamfights, solo, roaming, you name, they can do it all, usually in one build for the most part. Im truelly getting tired of getting cheesed, can we do some serious balancing here? If I had to place another class on the opposite spectrum of warrior that would ele, yet they get some very underwhelming changes which are definitely not what the class needs.

It seems to me that everytime 2 or more warriors are on a team, said team’s cahnces to win grow exponentially.
