I don’t know..was kind of the spot just scanning through the old Guild Wars elite skills. I’ll change it
Taking elites from Guild Wars,
Warrior: Warrior’s Endurance (Elite Stance). Gain 20 seconds of Protection, 20% more health and 10 seconds of Vigor. 180 second cool down
Ranger: Strike As One. Your pet hits when you hit doing 75% damage of the hit. 10 second duration 150 second cool down
Elemental Attunement: ALl your Elemental powers are boosted. 30% more damage and 50% more burning duration while attuned to Fire.
Water spell’s that heal heal for 30% more and add 3 stacks of vulnerability on Chill and Vulnerability causing spells.
Gain 25% crit damage and do 20% more damage while attuned to Air.
Take 20% less damage and cause 2 stacks of bleeding on all non-auto attac skills while attuned to Earth. Cantrip lasts 15 seconds with a 150 second cool down
Guardian: Mark of Protection. Allies within a 900 radius all gain 15 seconds of Protection and 15 seconds of Regeneration and get healed for 2K scales Healing Power X .3. 75 second cool down
Thief: Mobius. Activating this skills changes it to Moebius Strike. Moebius Strike costs 1 initiative and has 10 uses. After each use it hits 20% harder when if used consecutively. When all uses are used it goes on a 90 second cool down.
Necromancer: Aura of the Lich: Replicate all your active minions, they gain Protection and Regeneration for 20 seconds. 180 second cool down
Mesmer: Panic: Foes in range gain 8 stacks of confusion for 10 seconds and are dazed for 3 seconds when the Confusion ends or is removed. 90 second cool down

I like your idea Monki.
Sword/Longbow: 15% longer bleed/burning.
Axe/Rifle: 15% more Critical Damage
I think Hammer and Mace would have to be 50% for an increase.
Greatsword: 15% more damage
Edit: Or just make them all do .5% more damage per point
You don’t need a wall or a thief or anything like that. We’ve never needed stealth for it. We put 1 person on each button, 1 on the panel, and 2 people keep aggro of the few dredge that spawn.
Edit: For the bombs run and grab the bombs, place them at the door and flee. I do agree it’s the worst fractal though. I hate the Ice Elemental
(edited by Grok Krog.9581)
The damage reduction difference between Knight’s and Berserker armor is like 5%, I recommend changing to that since you have so much armor from everything else
Not bad ideas but what happens if you 30 points in 2 of those trait lines?
I’m still gonna use my Greatsword/Hammer build. Might change from Knight’s armor to Berserker’s because according to the buildcraft site I’m only gaining 5% damage reduction with it.
It’s 20/25/0/0/25. Sigil of Battle on the Greatsword, ____ on the Hammer. Runes of the Soldier. Cavalier Jewelery with Ruby orbs.
Utilities are, preferred heal, For Great Justice, OMM or SIO, Endure Pain, Signet of Rage or Battle Standard
Level 2 is 1/40 of level 80. The passive effect only gets 16.66 times stronger at level 80 =(
Healing Surge: 281 health per second (not using any adrenaline)
Mending: 222 health per second + 2 conditions removed
Healing Signet: 200 health a second with a small burst heal when activated.
I say make it a 20 point trait in discipline that signets maintain their passive effects after use. Though, I guess that would encourage more 5 signet warriors.
Edited for more accurate HPS numbers
(edited by Grok Krog.9581)
I use both, usually start with Greatsword, build up a bunch of Might, switch to Hammer, 5>2>4 for 3-5K hits depending on my Might stacks, then go back to Greatsword
Regeneration stacks duration, not potency. And you’re not gonna get 4K HP a second, the most youll get with maxed out healing power is like 280-300
I like your ideas. Only thing I’d change is XII to “Stances give 3 seconds of Protection”
Only time I hit 100K on Hundred Blades is against the final boss in the Dredge Fractal
Thanks for the replies, I should’ve been more specific though. I pretty much only do PvE. This is without frenzy/crippled/chilled etc. Sometimes it hits pretty weak and occassionally hits really hard. Don’t know if it’s angle I’m going at or my distance away from my foe
Sometimes my Whirlwind Attack does 8-10K, but most of the time its 1500-4K. What is the trick to getting it to do the most damage?
I’m really liking my 20/25/0/0/25 build. With Knight’s Armor (still working on it), and Cavalier’s jewelery, and Berserker weapons.
Utilities are: Healing Surge, FGJ, SIO, Endure Pain, Signet of Rage (sometimes Warbanner)
Ruby orbs on armor/jewelery. Sigil of Energy on my Hammer, Sigil of Generosity on my Greatsword.
High damage, good defense, some control. I try to build up lots of might with my Greatsword then change to Hammer and use 4>5>2 for a couple 3-4.5K crits and go back to Greatsword
Probably because you can get alot of Superior Runes for about 2 silver and all valuable runes would then become un-valuable
I think Elementalists need 2 weapons. A mainhand Sword, and an off-hand Scepter
I like the first idea teg, though I think it should be a 10 point trait in each line
Strength: Berserker’s Power
Arms: Heightened Focus
Defense: Warrior’s Endurance. gain 50 toughness for each bar of adrenaline or stances last 20-35-50% longer
Tactics: Lions Comfort? I don’t know. Healing Skills are 5-10-15% more effective (this includes the passive effect of Healing Signet)
Discipline: Thrill of Victory? Again I don’t know. 30-20-10% chance for adrenaline skills to not use adrenaline
Dragon’s Tooth now follows your target. That would work I think
I’d rather see 2 handed weapons able to have 2 sigils
Someone in my Guild named his Thief “Miss I R S”
What I’m doing is going full Knight’s Armor with Ruby Orbs, Cavalier’s jewelery with Ruby Orbs, and Berserker Hammer/Greatsword with a Sigil of Energy/Major Generosity respectively. According to this site http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/warrior/ I should be taking 34% less damage while still dishing out really good damage
Did he ask for toughness or armor? If he asked for armor it sounds like you gave him your toughness stat, which will always be less than the armor you have
Here’s my tips.
Daily Veterans: In Plains of Ashford, in the tunnel east of Decimus Stones and south of the waypoint, there’s 4-5 easy veteran kills if you’re level 80
Underwater Kills: Plains of Ashford again, far east side of Ascalonian Basin near the heart there’s groups of 5-6 skale that die real easy
Crafter: I just buy 30 iron ore off the TP and make 10 ingots.
Dodges: Find a Flame Legion Igniter (the ones with the flamethrowers) wait for when he does his flamethrower attack, dodge and get it almost instantly.
Events: Apostate Wastes in Fireheart rises usually has events that cycle all the time.
Wonder if you can get precursor’s from these..not that I’d waste my laurels on them, those are for getting me Ascended items
This is my Warrio, going for the torn armor look. I’m wearing the Barbaric shoulder and chest piece, Pit Fighter gloves, and Heavy Plate leggings/boots. I plan to change the leggings to the Pit fighter and probably the boots too.
Sage and Graphite colors
I like how you’re thinking. What about Adrenal skills in the F1, F2, and F3 slot. Different effects, all sharing one pool of adrenaline that builds up the same way as it does now.
You could tell what level of Adrenaline you’re at by looking at a number in the skill box (1, 2 and 3). I have no idea what the skills would be though
Alpha was never really that hard to begin with. Just stack on top of him in melee range
I never really saw this as an issue except I don’t think there’s enough armor that fit Sylvari.
And to your thing about Norn not wearing alot of clothes, in lore they aren’t usually fully clothed, you see this in Guild Wars. Even the males. It’s because when they exert themselves their bodies produce alot of heat. At least I’m pretty sure thats how it goes
Running P/T/V armor (with one piece of Knight’s, it will all be changed to Knight’s eventually) with Emerald Orbs, green Cavalier jewelery with Ruby Orbs, and Cavalier weapons. 9-13K Hundred Blades
I just changed to be more damage oriented. I’m planning on going Knight’s armor with Emerald Orbs, and Cavalier jewelery with Ruby Orbs. Cavalier Hammer/Greatsword
Love the damage of the Acid Bomb from Elixir gun but don’t always want it to launch you back because foes (the AI) move out of it? Press the “~” key as soon as youre in the air and it stops the fly back but still spreads the Acid
I think the 5 point is fine, thats alot of extra toughness to have while rezzing.
15: Shouts have a slightly longer range (750 instead of 600 maybe)
25: 10% of Vitality is given as a bonus to Healing Power
Only an Engineer would use an Elixir gun that only has 2 Elixir’s and isn’t affected by Elixir traits
Yes, 5 signets is very bad.
Signet of Strength: Why keep the 90 power to yourself when you can get Banner of Strength and give 90 power and condition damage to the whole party? And For Great Justice gives you 3 stacks of might permanently, and fury, also for the whole party
Signet of Fury: Banner of Discipline gives 90 precision to everyone, 10% crit damage to everyone, and like I mentioned For Great Justice gives Fury
Signet of Stamina: This is actually a good signet
Dolyak Signet: Banner of Defense gives that much Toughness + Vitality to the whole group. Battle Standard can give stability to everyone, though only for a short time
Helping the group is > helping only yourself 9 times out of 10
Also, fights are usually gonna last a little bit depending, and Banners will stack up to 33 seconds of Regeneration fairly quickly. Combine that much Regeneration with Healing Signet and Adrenal Health and you got epic tanking abilities from my experience
Funny thing, this is almost the exact same build I’m running on my Engineer now.
I have Medkit instead of Elixir H for more healing and instead of Energized Armor I have Protective Shielding and instead of Formula 409 I have backpack regenerator. I plan to get full cleric’s stuff eventually
Infernia.9847: “Pika pika”….. “I mean Coooo”
Pikacooooooooo!
Since this is a thread about builds I thought I’d share mine. The other day I decided I’d make all my characters “tanks”. And for Engineer I plan to run full cleric’s gear with sapphire orbs. 10/0/30/20/10. Pistol/Shield with Bomb kit, Elixir Gun, Elixir C, and Supply Crate.
Explosives III. Inventions I, IX, XI. Alchemy II, IX. Tools IV
Alot of the defense comes from all the healing. Bombs heal, regeneration, different regen while holding a kit, and 2 super elixirs and supplies.
Actually, knbBlackTemplar. They do stack. I bet you 10 gold that if you put on Healing Signet, get Regneration from banners, take fall damage in LA, you will see 2 different heals tick
You can still be an epic self-regen warrior. With full cleric’s gear I believe I calculated Adrenal Health, Healing Signet, Regeneration from Banners, and Mango pie to get over 2.3K health every 3 seconds
I really like my Tank/group support build.
10/0/30/30/0. Strength V. Defense VI X XI. Tactics V IX XI.
Currently have P/T/V armor (will be changed to cleric’s). Sapphire Orbs on armor. Cleric’s jewelery (masterwork currently) with Sapphire Orbs. Hammer and Mainhand/Warhorn.
Utilities: Healing Signet, For Great Justice, Banner of Defense or Discipline, Banner of Strength, Battle Standard.
This uses Vigor and 2 sigil’s of endurance for damage avoidance, and lots of regen (like 2K+ health every 3 seconds with full adrenaline) and you give your group more damage/defense at the same time
I kind of came up with them on the spot. And didn’t bother to look through and change anything this time
I wanna dual wield scepters. I posted a list of skills in another thread. Skills could be something like:
Fire 4: Lava Arrows, fire a volley of 5 lava arrows at target that cause 1 second of burning each and the 5th arrow explodes.
Fire 5: Incendiary Bonds, bond the target foe and immobilize them for 2 seconds. When the immobilize ends a fiery explosion occurs and nearby foes take damage
Water 4: Ice Spear, fire a Spear of Ice at target foe. Pierces foes
Water 5: Maelstrom, you place an AoE on target area that lasts 5 seconds causing 2 vulnerability every second and healing allies every second
Air 4: Lightning Orb, launch an Orb of Lightning that causes 5 vulnerability to the target and does alot of damage
Air 5: Enervating Charge: Electricute your foe with an Envervating Charge that causes weakness
Earth 4: Sliver Armor, an Aura that does 75% damage back to foe. Lasts 3 seconds
Earth 5: Crystal Wave, place a pulsing wave of crystals on target location that does damage, cripples, and bleeds
These could probably be tweaked. Original Guild Wars players will recognize these skill names. This is all copy and pasted from another thread
Healing Signet, For Great Justice, Banner of Strength, Banner of Discipline, Battle Standard
It depends. If you’re stacking Regeneration from Banner’s and Adrenal Health, Healing Signet is the way to go in my opinion. If you’re not really using your Adrenaline skills, Healing Surge. If you use your Adrenaline skills frequently and aren’t stacking regeneration effects, use Mending.
Here’s my suggestions for Banner
1: Make it hit up to 3 foes
2: Change Banner of Defense to: Gives 3 seconds of Protection. 10 second cool down. Change Banner of Strength to: Gives 2 stacks of Might for 5 seconds. 10 second cool down.
3: Fine
4: Make it do a little more damage
5: Fine
Make grabbing Banner’s instant and fix the “fear” bug for all items.
Change the Trait Inspiring Battle Standard to make Banner’s pulse an effect:
Strength: Gives 2 stacks of might for 5 seconds every 10 seconds
Defense: Gives 4 seconds of Protection every 15 seconds
Tactics: Takes the current Regeneration effect
Discipline: Gives Fury for 4 seconds every 10 seconds
Battle Standard: Already has pulsing effects, add a +30-40 to all stats from it
Timer’s probably need to be adjusted for balance
No skills or anything pulled up for me, but I will say that you should use Battle Standard over Signet Rage. At least when you’re with a group, it’s an AoE downed rez, and AoE Signet of Rage
I’ve recently started changing from full Soldier’s gear to Cleric’s. Currently have Masterwork Sapphire jewelery and a Magi’s Spineguard (rare). I’d get Cleric’s armor now but I’m saving up for my Legendary. I really like it so far, when I get my armor my Banner’s regeneration should heal for about 300 and I’ll be getting about 2250 health every 3 seconds from all my regen stuff (Healing signet, Adrenal Health, Regeneration) if I can get 25 stacks of healing power. I’ve lost a couple thousand health but I haven’t noticed a drop in survivability, if not being more durable. Note: I only PvE
