Because we can’t be angry about both?
This is Torvith. She smells of citrus (lemon/lime), a light floral, warm sunshine and a hint of honey, over rich amber.
She likes both chunky and smooth peanut butter. It just depends on what she’s using it for.
If you offered her $300, she’d want to know why. She’d ask you to donate any denomination to a local charity, rather than give it to her.
For pizza, she likes peperoncinis, tomatoes, mushrooms and red peppers on a white garlic sauce with tzatziki drizzled on top.
Torvith couldn’t pick a favourite dog breed, but I’m a fan of Shepherds.
I prefer the humanities.
2) Keep giving feedback and be patient as this is a big ship and it takes time to steer it.
First I want to say that I really, genuinely do appreciate the changes that have been implemented to the NPE 9/9 patch. These changes have been positive and obviously directly relate to the feedback people have given you.
With that being said, your big ship certainly seems to be a lot more responsive than previously indicated. Less than a week in, and you guys have made clear steps in the right direction, but five months on and we should be patient?
For those defending this category, why don’t we ask them to introduce a Legendary collection, where you’re tasked to obtain all 18 Legendary weapons. That would be fun, right? It’s even things you earn in-game!
No? Not fun? Oh, you don’t want to be put through the incredible task that would become, both through getting so many characters through World Completion, and the extensive cost of everything involved, or perhaps the excessive time sink it’d be to obtain materials, Karma, Skill Points, Badges and otherwise Gold needed? Perhaps you don’t actually like half the weapons, just a few. But so what? It doesn’t matter if you can’t even use all weapons on a single profession, right? It’s the collection that counts!
I think we should get a Legendary collection category. It’d be just as fun and fair as the Black Lion one. Let’s get their attention so they’ll go do that for you collectors that loves this Black Lion category. (Note: I have 8 legendaries, I can continue finishing a collection just fine, but I don’t want all.. so yeah. I wouldn’t want to see that as a collection.)
You do understand that you don’t have to complete any of the collections, right?
You expect more than 3 nodes, when the text you quoted says specifically which 3 nodes you’ll be getting?
edit: wow the amount of white knighting.
Here’s why.
Hi All,
Thanks for all your kind messages, I should be up and about tomorrow.
I have cleaned down my inbox now. So i will get your messages. Eye, Guhracie etc how about Thursday?
I have asked for someone to post an update on the Story Steps and we should be deploying more fixes to NPE soon thus allowing us to have a more meaningful discussion.
Thanks for all the updates and thoughts. And FYI I have been reading this forum and the CDI when i haven’t been asleep.
Chris
Feel better, Chris. I’m going to be out of town on thursday. I’ll drop you a message when I’m back in town.
Five months to the day. Will tomorrow’s update hold some sort of stopgap measure?
the most annoying thing to me is that the search box erases my input when i add/delete a filter…
my searches usually go something like…
>type “foefire”
>delete engineer filter
>type “foefire”
>delete “only show available”
>type “foefire”
oh! theres foefire’s essence!or…
>type “phoenix”
>delete engineer filter
>type “phoenix”
>select skins category
>type “phoenix”please give the search box a 10 second memory =(
Anyone else see this? Removing filters empties the text box.. but it doesn’t remove the foefire breadcrumb when i tried to replicate this.
Also.. to save you a bunch of clicks.. type foefire or phoenix from the home page. worked immediately for me.
Removing filters is indeed removing the search results as well as emptying the text box for me.
This is definitely the epitome of crazy conspiracy theories. The human mind will look for patterns where there are none.
This thread exists in the Black Lion Trading Post subforum.
I don’t have any workarounds, but thank you for posting these.
I noticed this earlier as well. Thumbs up!
Limited time items spur impulse purchases. It’s a real Thing.
Hello, It has been a while and I was just curious as to when super adventure box would be coming back, if at all? My guild and I wanna try it all together, and unlock those neat skins
I have heard that a new Super Adventure Box actually is in the works and we will get an an official announcement about it in a few months.
I have heard that a nigerian prince needs my help in seeking political asylum. Source, please?
Simple, they just don’t feel it’s the right time to do it yet. They will bring it back at some point, just be patient about it, alright? :/
How long would you advise patience? Six months? A year? Two years? I’m just wondering when you feel it will be acceptable to get impatient about the return of content. Particularly when that content was used to generate income, in the form of the infinite continue coin, a worthless bit of coding, at this point.
Actually, it takes you to the exchange section, where you can exchange your gems for gold, or your gold for gems. And “pay to win” doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means.
Pay to win, is, and always meant: BUYING POWER.
It’s always meant that. It NEVER exclusively meant a single Weapon or Item that no one else could ever earn from playing the game normally and could only be gained with real money. That red herring argument was created by game marketers themselves as a defense for every other variation of BUYING POWER. Don’t recite it here. It’s a fabrication.I’ve played pay-to-win games, and I know what they are. You’re stating that any game with any sort of in-game cash shop is pay-to-win, and that is dishonest.
No I’m not, and don’t put words in my mouth please. Want examples? Most of Valve’s official games for starters, esp the ones that end in a ‘2’
Explain what you mean by “buying power” first, and then we’ll talk.

Hard to make money in game by design…things are expensive.
Buy gold button.
Hmmmmm….
I understand a business needs to make money but how you go about your business is just as important. This method is BS and not worth it with the current state of the game.
It’s almost offensive that they don’t even try to be subtle about it.
kitten you whoever is making these decisions.
There is no ‘Buy Gold or Buy More Gold’ button. On the other hand, there is a shortcut to the Gold/Gem exchange page.
Trying to present the function inaccurately to make it appear more inflammatory and being rude to the Devs surely won’t further your case.
The button says “Get more gold.” And it takes you to the exact same gold/gem exchange that has existed since before I started playing. Man-alive, someone needs their Xanax!
I don’t think you read what Inculpatus wrote beyond the first line. Maybe you should get some glasses and stop assuming that everyone here wants to get into battles with you.
One more positive thing: I’m really happy that they removed the level restriction on the endless salvage-o-matic. Here’s a post I wrote yesterday with my less positive feedback, just to consolidate it all.
The single biggest problem I have with the changes to the leveling system (from FP1 and 2) is that you’re not adding rewards. Instead, you’re taking away systems that were once freely given and then doling them out sparingly, in order to make things feel or seem more rewarding.
That illusion might work for some people, but most of us don’t appreciate “progress” when it means we’re losing out overall. It is never a good thing to take away a free convenience only to sell it back to us, and try to convince people that it is a reward. Sure, some people will buy it. That doesn’t make it a good plan.
There have been many improvements made, yet I’d gladly give up on them all (wardrobe and crafting interface included) if it meant I could enjoy leveling a new character again. You’ve taken the joy away from my playstyle, and you’ve pointed the finger at the CDI as the reason behind it all. Message received: I won’t be participating in any further CDI threads.
I wouldn’t have played this game. And the next time a new game catches my eye, I really have no incentive to keep playing this one.
I’m glad this was changed back. Thanks, anet!
You can disable it in the options section, or filter personal story, events, or map completion.

No one said anything of repeat content from last year. All we have so far is that “Blood and Madness” is returning.
Can’t be let down when there is zero details released yet. I mean, it’s still September.
I can be let down that it’s going to be half as long as it was last year.
We will be doing this.
‘Then someone should post sticky with all currently discovered bugs, features that are meant to be and will be kept and features that were meant to…’
We want to make sure that it is clear what is ‘As Designed’ at which point we can have a more meaningful discussion about the feature.
Cheers
Chris
Would be nice to have this for all future changes(how things are intended to be).
It would be make it much easier to be able to tell what to report as a bug and what to complain about on the forum.
It seems logical that this sort of information should be covered in the patch notes.
I made a new char after the Patch and – having no Experience Scroll – levelled her up to lv28 by maxing the Cooking, Jewelry and Huntsman Crafts. At no point was there any problem and the xp worked exactly as it had before.
The problems started when I then decided to bump up a couple of levels by exploring all the Hub Cities. I happened to hit lv29 just as I entered the Black Citadel – and zone completing it netted 100xp.
I really think it’s a systemic scaling-problem with being a certain level (29), not specific things like Crafting being broken.
Yikes, this is a pretty major issue. Especially for something intended to help new players out.
Off to make a new alt named “Dances With Cows”
Skill points are awarded at intervals. I got 8 skillpoints for hitting… level 31 or 32.
Because this seems like a very positive and good thread for kindly and politely leaving, I will also say, good day all. I hope you find the game for you. I’ll miss everyone here, but I’m also leaving. <3
No more Asura cuties, but I’ll leave you with one last one.
Thank god.
Why the need for this sort of vitriol? Shame on you.
I thought the Thank God was for Lilith putting up a last picture.
The post before yours however…
Eh, at least the post before mine isn’t a personal jab. If it was genuine gratitude about the last screenie, my apologies, and thanks for pointing out the possibility to me.
YAY!!!
Someone who can see the bright side of life!!
Please positive feedback is just as important as negative. It shows what was done right, instead of a blanket “This is awful!!”. Gotta know what works, and what doesn’t to be able to fix what doesn’t. Thanks!!
I try to be fair with my feedback.

I will be so sad if she’s not Felicia Day anymore. I can’t imagine they’d change that.

Oh, Jaya! I’m so sad to see you’re leaving. <3
I’ve had a whole lot of negative things to say about this patch, so I thought I’d go ahead and give some time to the positive aspects.
The new combat log is fantastic.
The filters on the new trading post- you NAILED that.
The compass- I’m using it now for map completion, which is something I previously found terribly daunting. It’s helping to keep me focused and moving. Awesome.
Minis are a mixed bag for me. Love the new interface/preview/system overall, but I hate not being able to see my own miniature. What’s the point if it’s invisible? Still, I think the overhaul is solid and I know tons of people asked for it in the horizontal development CDI.
There are some good things in the level up rewards. I approve of equipment (previously tied to the personal story) being given as part of leveling instead. Also, getting dyes was an exciting choice, so good job there.
Crafting interface: Nailed it!
Dodging tutorial: Very positive addition. (will using it count toward daily dodger? I know I used to hate that daily when I first started out.)
New titles: Yes. Just… yes. The whole “Honorary Skritt” achievement is beautiful. Kudos.
So there’s my positive feedback. I hope you enjoyed it.
You know, I agreed with this sentiment way back in April, about the trait changes in the first feature patch. I felt certain that it would be addressed sooner rather than later. So I expressed my displeasure, I explained why it was impeding my enjoyment, and I gave plenty of suggestions for how to improve the system.
I did that over the course of four months, at which point a developer came into the thread and said they needed some time to discuss the issues internally. Then another developer came in and asked for feedback about the trait system. Because the 4 month old thread had over 40 pages in it, and that was just too much to read.
I’ve given them time. And I lost my faith in the team because of it.
I got a little bit, centimeter by centimeter, I reported it ASAP. But I heard something where some people get the full 10 levels for maxing at 0-500, being still new to this game I thought the end of the leveling from 300-400 or 500 would be the most exp, boy I was wrong
Yeah, you should be getting… 7 levels, I think? for 1-400. I didn’t realize you were unfamiliar with the old system, my apologies.
That sounds like a bug. I’d report that asap. Why did you keep leveling all the way to 400 if you weren’t getting experience, though?
You can report posts you think violate the terms of use on the forum by clicking the little crawling person icon (next to the quote arrow) at the bottom right of the post. Alternately, you can apply for a job with ANET to be a moderator, or you can let the mods do their own jobs.
I appreciate that your tone is respectful, unlike others with similar sentiments, but it really is tiresome to have persistent “forum police” who feel like it’s appropriate to dictate how they feel people should or should not post. I’m responding to you because I don’t feel like you’re being unnecessarily snide, and I respect that. I also respect what you’re trying to foster, I just feel like it’s the moderators’ job to do that. So I strongly encourage you to report offensive posts and move on. This helps the mods out without having to be condescending.
You can’t feed the cows, but you can entertain them! Also, the bunnies are still in-game.
Go have a look. I did it yesterday. Rabbit holes, dodging and all.
I did, the rabbit food bundles are gone.
I’m tabbed out from doing the heart right now. Bunnies and food are intact, just not at the same location. It’s on the path leading to taigan waypoint.
Bundles are also now level gated. So maybe you should check the game before you make the encompassing statement that everything is as it should be. (This is @Vayne. )
Okay stop it everyone. This is getting silly.
The only thing it seems you can’t do that you’d normally need to at low levels is do skill point challenges. That’s it. Everything else you can do, including using Asuran gates.
The logic is that Anet is introducing concepts to people. Most new players have no reason to go to LA until level 20, which for most new players is the first time they’ll ever use a gate.
My level 2 character gathered, used asuran gates, got points of interest and vistas and crafted.
The activities aren’t gated. They’re revealing stuff to new players as new players need to know.
I can’t name my pet, access my profession skills, or the utility skills that were previously available. Nor can I weapon swap.
Yeah, I just went in-game to check and went through a gate fine. I was responding to the OP with a question about it.
You can’t use an asura gate until level 18?
Not just an achievement, but an awesome title. This is one change I am wholeheartedly in favor of.
You checked your collectibles tab in the bank? That’s where mine were. If not, I’d open a ticket.
There are other players who use their instruments in a mature manner. They shouldn’t be turned down because 1 player decides to act like a jerk.
Your original post says they shouldn’t have put the bell in the game because of multiple players who are using them improperly. But now you say that you don’t want to turn the player instruments down because most players use their instruments in a mature manner?
I just re-logged my GW and it patched about 28MB. any idea what this is from? I can’t see anything official regarding it
It’s in the release notes from the patch yesterday, as a new post on the thread.
It’s there so people can block people doing those emotes if they want. Maybe its redundant but the first part there is a “link” that you can right click and block/report said user for doing bad harassing things.
It no longer exists. Check the patch update notes on the latest build.
I am not a role player but I think you could work around this. You could type in so that the end result reads like this :
Hystery: I am posting a thread on the forums.
(in other words forget about the “/me”)
The difference is the previous style reads like a book written in third person. This suggested style reads like a screen play happening right now.
No, if you do a custom emote, it includes your name twice. “/emote pats the puppy.” now yields the following: Guhracie: Guhracie pats the puppy.
Edit: Just saw this was fixed in the latest build. It’d be nice if it would apply to non-custom emotes, though.

Hi,
I am planning on starting an alt again when i get some time. Why don’t we play together as I would like to experience it with you and hear your feedback.
Chris
I’d play with you! I’d even be nice. :P
Aww thanks <hugs>
I am going to finish this doc now.
Chris
Can I get in on this? Is it going to be a real Thing?
