Introduce new worlds whenever, old worlds are there for all. Why lock away fun from your game, seriously?
With the next balance patch, might be easier to might stack using flamethrower now for the 10 second fire field.
SAB is the only thing that is keeping me in this game truth be told, it’s the one thing in GW2 that feels balanced and complete.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea if say defiance just gave say 15 seconds of stability. That way boon removal abilities would be useful for bosses and could lead to maybe more interesting fights?
Really. Seriously. What’s the problem? That Lupi can be solo’d? That he can be reflected? That the reflects do that much damage? If it’s the last case, be careful what you ask for. ANet, in their infinite wisdom will make all his attacks unreflectable. Won’t matter to me, but all the other classes that rely on reflects QQ
well there’s the whole he goes from phase 1 end to dead instantly not getting the invuln from phase 2 to 3 shift
then there’s ac spider n ta spider used to be able to get blown up by reflects and anet “fixed” that
it seems pretty obvious anet did not intend for him to blow up like that
I’m not sure. Feels like kind of a stretch to me.
Both are getting decent buffs in a future patch, I would guess you will see more of both once the FGS nerf hits. They are both fun, my advice, use the lvl 20 tome to level up and then the other 60. That way you are at lvl 40 on your next character!
OP, this is probably not the content for you. That or it is a most definite learn to play issue.
So here is an idea: Rather than have a massive profession balance patch, why not have a certain profession balance every two weeks? That way, with each living story update, we see a massive fix of X class and not have to wait 6 months for a slight buff / nerf?
So obviously rangers got a nice damage increase. Engineers on the other hand got lots of changes to their flamethrower kit, making me wonder, will flamethrower now replace mine field or elixir gun?
I feel the flamethrower 2 + 4 now being blast finishers + ticking damage on each second might help bring it over mine field if we need the fire fields.
You can include the jaguar stalk ability too (25% crit chance and crit damage increase if i recall). Couple that in with say signet of beastmaster and quickness and you have a pleasant burst. Sadly, once that burst is gone, so drops the dps. For bosses that die very quickly, rangers are very good.

There is a fun trick where you can go cast your meteor shower, then lightning flash away from enemy zerg so as to not be point guard no more and finish casting peacefully. Not sure if casting tornado after the meteor shower is worth it or just lava fonting.
Guess they finally fixed fractal rewards.
I guess it isn’t as bad to be kicked in a dungeon since mostly can be done fairly quickly. Fractals on the other hand, that gets the blood boiling.

Always thought giving conditions a chance to crit, ie, condition damage, precision, ferocity, would be a viable buff.

Thanks! I never thought of him as a use for that. With that knowledge, I went and tested on him. I found out that with persisting flames and Elementalist dagger mainhand Burning Speed, the flame wall ticks a total of 40 times, and it ticks 30 times without persisting flames.
I’m guessing the same would apply to burning retreat. Odd it doesn’t apply to fgs though.
Odds are with the story instances scaling and all, odds are that’s what we getting.
You can always just move towards the side, get Detha out of combat and then proceed to the emmy-award winning voice acting and loots.
If it ever gets fixed, it’s a nice QoL improvement.
Rangers have good burst damage, but little sustain, basically they are useful on fights where most of their hits would be from activating signet of the wild. Not sure how much dps a SotW + QZ is, but I feel it’s a very decent number, while it lasts.
Staff is at 14.5k, close enough :P.

Since when did players have a dps of 15000 damage a second.
Actually elementalists, thieves and possibly engineers can mantain 15k dps in a fully buffed group.

Nemesis made a video with the sole purpose of demonstrating the title of this thread. Necro dps = Warrior dps power build. ‘Meta players’ immediately jumped onto the video calling him at best ignorant, at worst a liar. They made some childish videos in order to discredit him, then proceeded to attempt to show proof he was wrong. In the end those very same ‘meta players’ (some of whom have posted in this thread) announced what they have always known, that Necro dps = Warrior dps power build.
And here’s the really absurd part, they still argue that Nemesis was wrong. LOL
I really don’t get why you are making such a big fuss about this. Nemesis was wrong, is wrong and will continue to be wrong in his methods and results. He rolled a 3 sided die, called it, and got it right. Lucky guess does not mean accurate math.

Chase, I work in QA for another company. Bugs don’t take that long to fix, even in extremely large projects such as physics simulation engines.
And then again, you’d expect the skilled programmers at ANet to use the principles of encapsulation. Even then, if you knew what you were talking about, you’d notice how those spells are class-specific and they surely don’t tie to other objects

Nemesis skewed the numbers, even with skewed numbers, warrior still won. So imagine a proper warrior trait / build / rotation. That video shot any hope necromancers had in the foot.
What about giving engineers a way to give groupwide aegis, yay or nay?
The video is biased and got most of everything wrong, as it was pointed out in the comments section. Necromancer single target dps is about equal or 1k-2k less than a 6/6/ GS warrior. Warriors shouldn’t really have melee downtime with whirlwind being on such low cooldown. Necromancers could use a good PVE buff to bring them from last place in desireability in dungeons.
That said, any sort of class mechanic unique to necromancers, be it team lifesiphoning (like the heal skill, except they butchered it with the ridiculous cast time and cooldowns), and its coefficients with power, maybe with the 150+ aoe ferocity trait while in deathshroud or something.

Even with screenshots of the incident, Anet hasn’t shown (to the best of my knowledge) that they do anything about it. Hence, more people keep on doing it since there are no repercussions.

This is how I do it
stack might – ice bow – Ice bow 4 (guildie ice bow 4) as she walks into doorway- FGS rush (guildie fgs rush) SQ dies. guildie picks my body off the ground
Darn warriors and their hp pools.
Alternate way LH strafe with swiftness unfortunately that takes what 1-3 mins.
Don’t forget #5, those 5 seconds of people just beating her is more than enough time to down her.
It’s funny how the Queen now won’t come into melee range unless you stack behind a corner.

If you are autoattacking from range with signets and a bear, you are doing it wrong.
I believe well ticks also siphon, so a well has potentially 3 life steals tied to it. (From what I last recall, might not be 100% accurate).
I’m a hoarder and have leftover tickets, but not enough for new things…
If you are zerging, you are doing it wrong. Groups of less than 12 people is ideal.
