When you build clothes in 3d you usually always remove the body from underneath it. Not only does it reduce the polycount of the outfit but also reduce clipping.
Except other skins in the game don’t work that way.
No other skin in game is a long dress like this one either. Smaller and open clothes are much easier to rig on a skeleton than long closed dresses like that one.
While the dress itself is much more easier to model, it it much more harder to rig.
It would have clipped like this if the legs were in. Although they could have put the “cap” much higher since the running animation isn’t as dramatic as the crappy pose i’ve done in 5 second in in this image.

I did like the many “new players” and sent them ingame support ticket about it. They seem to take tickets seriously compared to posts on forums or the internet in general.
It is not done to push people to buy with cash. They have similar kittened system to buy gems with cash. They did this to screw people with uneven amount and push people to buy more gems than they need.
Lets not forget that this didn’t only change the gold to gem. The gem to gold is immensely screwed too. 448 gems for 50 gold for example. This make you get uneven without ever being able to buy just the amount you need to get something.
This is almost like a scam to make everyone with an uneven amount of gems forced to buy things they don’t want or forget about them and pretend they never had them.
I have 900 gems right now, which are the left over of gems I bought with money. I wanted to buy 100 gems to get 1 outfit + 1 mask.
Now I can only buy a minimum of 400 gems, which would leave me with 300 gems after my purchase and there’s really nothing else I want that I could buy with only 300 gems in the store. So I would be forced to get 400 more gems, but then would only have 700 and most useful stuff are 800, so I have to wait for a sales that may never come to get something I want, or buy 800 gems right away and be stuck with my 300 gems forever.
This change is an insult to everyone who spend time and money on this game.
I wish they would sit like this all the time.

Don’t see how, it’s not like it’s any less or more a proper way of sitting. But it is ridiculous that it’s an exact copy of the human female animation.

By ridiculous I meant it looks bad. The pose in OP looks much better and doesn’t look as stiff and forced as the current one.
Norn and human female always had the same sitting pose. I imagine it’s the same for male.
It’s not an issue with GW2’s morality but an issue with your morality.

if you want to compare, if I kill a boss I receive a chest, If I kill a world boss I can see a big chest, If I came and play wxw like this one, I didn’t receive anything when there is rewards do receive.
If you want to compare, it’s like killing a world boss and standing in front of the chest for 1 hour without looting it then complain you missed it.
We need to “replay” the missions for the achievements. You would have to do the achievements with your previous character who already completed the story once or replay them later, again, when you’re done with this one.
When you wake up from the Sylvari intro story (the dream) you are spawned at the beginning of Caledon Forest without any armour. If my memory serves me right, you just have to walk forward (past an NPC) and all of your armour will appear. It makes sense when you think about it, new born sylvari shouldn’t be wearing clothes when they first appear!
It sadly doesn’t do that anymore. We are born with our armor now. Being born without clothes is too confusing for the audience arenanet is trying to attract.
I believe the best course of action for anet is to make Elites the highest rank of mobs able to spawn during events. This will completely stop players from failing the events for loot. There is plenty of champs out there in open world so there is no reason for farmers to be upset.
The best course of action would be to actually reward success and not failure. And make Champions scale in difficulty instead of number. Getting tougher, hitting harder, unlocking new abilities instead of just making more and more spawn. Sure another one could eventually show up, but only after all the other scaling buff were applied.
Sadly this would make the game fun so we can be sure they will avoid this at all cost.

They said we wouldn’t have to worry about cookie cutter builds. That’s all there ever is. It’s this build or you’re bad, get out. Really sick of this mentality and the fact that the game requires it.

It’s not about cookie cutter but about knowing how to adapt.
It’s not really adapting if you’re using the same generic “Berserker All Big-Hit Abilities” build for every single fight in the game. :p
There’s nothing new to adapt to. People have adapted to the current content already because they’ve been playing the same thing for 2 years. When or if there’s new and different content, people will adapt to it and if it’s just more of the same there will be no adaptation needed.

Fwiw, I enjoy the game as it is……sure improvements can always be made…..but I have lots of fun with it. But, then again, I have a life outside of my gaming…..I don’t spend countless hours per day gaming on a computer……but what time I do have to play I immensely enjoy in GW2.
Same here. Before the patch I had steady FPS but now it drops from 60 to 40 every few seconds when walking around even when nothing is happening around.
I also prefer the panel on the left .
I think removing stats name would make it less busy and give you more space to organize them. Their name would appear on mouseover.
The most annoying thing on map to me are all the caustic comments and rude remarks concerning commanders in general that are continuously posted in map chat. I can see that there are a bunch of commander tags on the map but do they affect my game play? No.

While this is currently working as intended, it’s definitely something that we’ll be working on and tweaking in the future. We want you to be able to enjoy your minis so hang in there!

Same thing happened to my lv25 character. I lost my quest progress and now have to wait until I don’t know when.
