it …creates a huge learning curve for unsuspecting end-users.

Let’s not exaggerate. It’s a hurdle, not a “huge learning curve.”

Also the copy option has been removed from the API keys page, so now it is really error prone for users to copy the keys

Isn’t the key always the same number of characters? Isn’t it possible to reduce “really error prone” to simply “inconvenient” by enforcing string-length? (Although, I agree: making it easy to copy the API key would be very helpful.)

My own instructions are several bullet points long and I know that most users will get discouraged.

People just aren’t used to using API keys. The mechanic is easy-enough to illustrate and I’ve found that some really like the ability to control what data each site gets to use, without having to create a site-specific password or ID.

The critics here are quite right that API keys add a learning curve. As a user, I think that’s one worth teaching.

Nothing drops anymore. I used to occasionally get an exotic but I haven’t seen one in 6 months. Are they being fazed out or something? (That wasn’t sarcasm) Rare’s are getting boring every time. yeah, you can salvage for ecto, but they are otherwise useless. It would be nice to get something I want or need to drop.

Even exotics are not as much fun because they’ve been out classed by ascended. Which don’t drop in PVE at all other than weapon caches. I’ve only managed to get two of those.

You guys have been moving in the direction of making this a lootless game for some time now. You pulled out the dyes and black lion keys. Drops are fun. Please reinstitute them ASAP.

You & I must be playing a different game. Exotics have never dropped in great numbers and how many drop for each of us depend on any number of factors, including how many foes you kill — people who skip trash mobs speed up their dungeon runs and reduce their chances of getting rares & exotics.

ANet has, if anything, increased the amount of loot in the game. Instanced content and level ups includes guaranted drops, there are bonus chests with guaranteed rares, and champ bags galore. (The sole exception seems to have been the Mordrem Invasion.)

Let me just add something else. The rares I’ve been getting are mostly from the bonus chests. I just did Jormag and was rewarded with blues and greens. Really?? Blues and greens for an epic boss?

The Claw of Jormag’s event-ground has always dropped mostly blues & greens, the same as that for every other epic boss. The bonus chest, however, includes a guaranteed rare and a couple of champ bags.

Regardless of the actual drop rates, increasing them won’t please anyone for more than a month. When more stuff drops, everyone ends up with more wealth and ends up willing to pay more for “necessities” and luxuries on the TP, driving up prices and increasing people’s appetite for still more rares and exotics.

Besides that, human nature inevitably leads to people getting used to the new status quo and eventually feeling that it’s not enough. We all want drops to feel special and that’s impossible if you play long enough. (That is one advantage of the gear-grind in other games: there’s frequently tons of new stuff to aspire towards.)

tl;dr all sorts of stuff drops in the game; we’re just used to it and don’t think it’s remarkable.

" What’s especially interesting about Mordremoth is that the only player race who can hear him are the Sylvari characters. The game’s other races only hear dragon-like noises. It’s a nice touch that fans will no doubt recognize and appreciate."

This is BAD design !

The idea that such a huge voice actor lines can ONLy be heard by a single race is LUDICROUS !

I understand you want to give this race something unique but this is offensive to the rest of the player base that cares about the story.

I don’t wanna be forced to play a sylvari to actually get the full experience and intent of the story !!!

I hope this is NOT how it works, if it ain’t you need to clarify this very very QUICKLY !!!

Your idea of ludicrous is my idea of interesting. Other games try to make everything identical, instead of offering comparable things to different races.

Also: why do they need to clarify anything quickly, to you or to any of us? Game comes out in a month; we’ll all find out just how big (or little) a deal this is.

You can change the stats on the teq weapon to the ones you want, which then means a DPS gain.

The recipe (which is on the wiki among other places) is:

  • Original ascended weapon (or armor).
  • 5 ecto
  • An exotic inscription for the stats you want (insignia for armor).
  • A single Anthology of Heroes (costs 10 spirit shards, available from Miyani and her counterparts)

This is considerably cheaper than crafting your own Zojja weapons from scratch.

If you can use the numbers on the top row of keyboard but not on the keypad, then check to see if your numlock is on or off — it’s possible that whatever you are doing to start|stop running is activating or deactivating it.

Toxicity in the RP Community

Illconceived Was Na.9781

RP community is just like any other: it has nice people, elitists|purists, casuals, jerks, friendlies, etc

to be honest, and i been in a very huge RP guild and been Rping pretty much, 95% of the RPing people i have encountered are totaly elitilists.

I don’t think that’s an accurate reflection of the community as a whole. That’s like saying you join speed clearing PUGs and 95% of the players you meet are dungeon elitists. There’s one spot in DR that I can stand and never see anything other than elitist RP in /say and another where I’ve only seen RPG-PUG-friendly examples. (I don’t RP myself, so maybe it reads differently to the participants.)

If we had RP servers or RP areas then people might be more patient since they know that the other people are there to RP rather than just getting in the way of them.

This is a really good idea! =)

That’s a terrible idea (in my opinion):

  • There are no “worlds” in this game except for WvW (for PvE, there’s only a minor impact and then only on crowded maps); ANet would have to re-introduce servers.
  • ANet officially designating RP areas would limit the flexibility of people who RP.
  • It would also stifle evolution of the culture: the guilds that get there “first” would dominate, discouraging others.

Far better if people in the RP community were to name certain spots as newbie-friendly and then take pains to make it easier for newbies to find it (including advertising in these forums, in LFG, etc). This requires no effort on ANet’s part and so wouldn’t require a new game mechanic.

Teq Karma Bugged?

Illconceived Was Na.9781

I just did the Tequatl World Boss event (lv 68 area) and i notice from yesterday the karma gain from doing the defense phase and beating him for getting a gold reward is seriously diminished. I used to receive about 323 karma for a gold reward with no karma buff, and now it’s as low as 123 karma. I did the event yesterday and got the normal karma amount but not tonight, so is the event reward bugged? or was it sneaked nerf?

P.S. Sadly i forgot to take a screenshot before this post to show the drastic change and low reward from today.

I’m almost certain that your character is suffering from diminished rewards. “Tomorrow”, get there 5-10 minutes sooner than you usually do and complete a few events away from the Teq area and it should reset for you.

(Event DR halves the karma reward for events.)

Generally, most people never see DR for Teq because they tend to be all over the map, doing the associated events. They might have tweaked the formula a bit making it more likely in certain circumstances.

It’s mathematically likely that, during off-peak hours, any random silverwastes map will have fewer people:

  • Anyone who farms uses LFG to transfer, leaving the default map emptier.
  • Any map that gets close to full will cause people transferring in to spawn on a new (lower pop) map.
  • If the map has less than a threshold number, then ‘casuals’ (to the map) tend to leave rather than stick it out, causing the pop to drop.

And the same thing happens in EotM: if your color is doing well, it gets full; if it’s not, ‘casuals’ tend to leave and farmers look for another map.

Stat changing on ascended backpiece?

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Anet only did it for weapons and armor as a band-aid reaction to players exploding in anger when it was announced Ascended gear would have 10% more stats than exotic.

I don’t think that’s why they did it. Anyone with existing ascended armor or weapons would have had to completely remake their armor to change stats; that’s always been an issue. Plus, various dev posts before|after the change suggests it was a response to stats being moved from traits and into gear.

All of that applies to trinkets and backpieces. And, as others have noted, there’s nothing intrinsic to the mystic forge that prevents using insignias|inscriptions for conversion.

I couldn’t came out of “in combat” status to teleport to other part of map until enemy left my area, is this normal? I mean… if no enemy can spot you and/or you not fighting them.. what part from it is in combat?

If a mob has aggro on you, you can’t break out of combat until you break the aggro, either by killing it or getting far enough away that it “forgets” about you.

It sounds as if — before you stealthed — you hit something (or something hit you) and well, you can run, but you can’t hide (to get out of combat).

Mechanics that have to be removed!

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Everybody know it, everybody hates it.

Please try not to speak for “everybody” — I don’t agree with your assumptions and I don’t “hate” any of these.

1. Invulnerability for mobs that “cannot” hit you. I understand that this should prevent savespots, but it actually doesn’t. There’s not a single savespot I know where this would help anything. But it randomly triggers if you’re walking over a little stone on the floor. Also if you’re on different environmental levels it can trigger quite often. I havn’t noticed any problems with this in the HoT beta so it was maybe fixed for the new AI?

There are tons of “safe spots” in the game where people would stand and attack, including the initial spider room of AC.

It’s true it triggers too often in some spot. However, the issue is the pathing AI, since it also affects teleports and skill targeting, e.g. “no valid path” when you can easily ‘walk’ without jumping.

2. Mobs getting outfight and reset as soon as they cross an incincible line. It’s ok that mobs don’t follow you to every spot in the game, but why do they have to reset , with no chance to actually hinder them? They could simply get immunity from cc/superspeed and run to their spawn, and have the same rules for ooc as players.

The reason they “have to reset” is that people could easily exploit the ‘tether’ mechanic, as can be done in many other games: pull the foe to the edge of the tether and hit it with conditions, allow it to start walking back, and pull it back again. It’s easy to get the AI into a perpetual loop where the foe keeps walking back|forth and never heals or attacks. There are other ways to deal with this issue; resetting the health is just the easiest and most difficult for players to get around.

3. In some dungeon if you agro mobs and don’t hit them, they just teleport after you to almost infinite distance. I actually can’t see for what this mechanic should be any good for…

Outside of rubberbanding (a symptom of which includes what you describe), I have never seen this. The leashes of some mobs are really long and a few have their own teleports. None of them follow for “almost infinite distance” and there’s no meaningful distinction in your example between “aggro” and “hit” — mobs with aggro don’t need to be hit to keep following you (depending on the AI needs of the situation).

tl;dr the implementation of some of these mechanics is sometimes annoying. However, I think they are reasonable to remain in the game (even though I wish ANet could tweak some of the details).

The hypothetical situation looks way bleaker when applied to actual drop rates, does it not?

Bleak hypotheticals are going to look bleaker than optimistic ones. Your numbers aren’t “actual” drop rates; they are just your best wild guess based on extrapolating from your experience.

The point of the original thought experiment was to show that the replacement drop rate does not have to be noticeable to make up for the difference between pre-farming and post-farming. I never claimed to be offering “actual” or even “likely” rates — they are just plausible enough to illustrate the concept.

my tl;dr remains the same: we just don’t have enough data to make predictions.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Here’s a quick set of questions to ask yourself about whether to craft ascended in the first place:

  • Do you do fractals above level 30 or 40?
  • Do you spend more than 50% of your time in WvW? (Or GvG)
  • Do you have a ton of extra mats and/or coin?

If the answer is “no” to all of those, I recommend holding off. Refine your ascended mats so you have them when you might need (or sell).

If the answer is “yes” to all, then go ahead; it’s a worth while investment of time, money, and effort.

Of course, it’s a completely imaginary scenario, oversimplifying the entire supply of keys and demand for the contents of the chests. It wasn’t meant to “prove” anything — only to demonstrate that there are many possible scenarios and it’s too soon to speculate.

So far, I’m looking at the secondary BL chest content markets, things like backpack skins — and prices haven’t skyrocketed, which they do whenever the supply of keys drops. (They are roughly about as low as when keys were on sale for the anniversary.)

Thanks for bringing this up. After reading your post, I decided to check out Spidy to see what’s happening to the supply for the five tradable minis you can get out of the BLC’s (Holographic Scarlet, Caithe, Mai Trin, Marjory Delaqua and Kasmeer) and it does appear that there has been a significant decrease in volume (about 33%) since the nerf. I’m not sure why that’s yet to be reflected in their prices, but there are a few other secondary items that are seeing an increase in price, namely the permanent contracts, special gathering nodes and unopened endless tonics. I guess those increases might be attributable to speculators buying up what little volume there is on those particular high value items.

It is still too soon to tell, but like you said those secondary items can be a good indicator as to how many keys are dropping in the wild. Let’s see if their supply continues to drop.

Good point. I was looking at prices and not supply — that’s a better indicator that something is changing. However, that could as easily be more people are hoarding those minis in anticipation of price spikes (I know that I did) rather than a decrease in the source of the supply.

Obviously the main market of interest to the majority of players is going to be BL weapon skins and that can be even more complicated to disentangle.

In the past, short-term changes in the ability to farm keys has affected the prices quickly, which is why I was focused on price. Secondary markets always tanked when keys were in high supply (due to gem store sales or give-aways) and always rose when something reduced the amount of farming (e.g. new living story or when the chest farm was first discovered). Of course, past performance is no guarantee of future earnings.

or to tl;dr, it’s just too soon to tell what the impact is going to be and it’s probably too soon to speculate, since we have so little data about how many new keys enter Tyria, either before or since the update.

There’s plenty of stuff to do in GW2. What there hasn’t been is a lot of new challenges. Wanting new things to do isn’t the same as wanting something new to do. Again, I’m not saying the OP’s suggestions are bad. They are a huge amount of work to implement and the OP hasn’t made the case for why this sort of farming/new economy would improve this game, let alone be worth the cost to design, code, test, and implement.

I’m going to guess that we aren’t likely to notice much increase in the number of keys: I suspect that not all that many keys were farmed relative to the entire community and so it wouldn’t take a large rate increase to make up for it. As individuals, we almost certainly wouldn’t notice and even medium-sized guilds probably don’t have enough players to be certain that they are seeing the status quo.

Begin wild speculation:
Suppose in August, 1,000 people farm 20+/week and 10,000 farm ~3/week (which might be incredibly high or low than actual data). That would be 50,000 keys per week, which has since reduced to 11,000 per week.

In this hypothetical, that would leave a deficit of 39k keys to make up each week. There might be 300,000 people playing each week, meaning just one additional key dropping for every 7 people would make up for all the farming that is no longer happening.

(For our purposes, we can ignore purchased keys and those obtained from other parts of the personal story, since, in theory, those numbers need not have changed since the last patch.)

End wild speculation

The point of this make-believe scenario is to show how few additional keys need to drop across the entire community in order to make up for the number farmed by a tiny (if intense) minority.

Was farming that unliked in archeage?
Does an mmo need to exclude itself from farm simming to limit it’s game play? Maybe not.

Of course an MMO doesn’t need to exclude anything. However, the more relevant question is: how does it help this game to add farm sims? It’s a lot of mechanics that have to be balanced against the current economy and other wealth & xp faucets. Does it fit into the game’s philosophy? Does it add something new enough to bring in lots of new players, without turning off veterans? Does it have the potential to destabilize the economy?

IMO, the OP hasn’t made a case that this would benefit the community & game generally, only that it would be fun for those who like farming simulations.

A tick box that says “do not show this message again” would solve this for all sides

No, it wouldn’t. An annoyingly large fraction of players would click this the first time they spend more than a few shards. Then, 3 days later, they would complain that they didn’t get a warning message.

No one likes being slowed down by a message, until the first time they accidentally buy an extra something — and then everyone wants it.

(Mind you, I personally prefer fewer warnings and having individuals take more responsibility for their own mistakes. However, not every player is as overly cautious as I am about spending and so I can’t really argue against ANet’s choice to offer more warnings.)

Well then it is their fault 100% then if they choose to unclick the box. Can’t hand hold people forever.

I agree with you that it would be 100% their lack of caution. ANet’s take is: we’d rather keep the customer satisfied, rather than worrying about who’s at fault. I think that’s an equally reasonable position to take and probably reduces their support costs (that many fewer tickets and cranky forum posts).

In other words, better to explain to savvy folks why there’s an error message slowing them down, than it is to explain to hasty people why they can’t get back the spirit shards they didn’t mean to spend.

Amusingly, since armor does not show through outfits you can not have the pirate outfit and eyepatch visible at the same time

Mix and Match needs to be a thing again. These outfits are still incredibly un-fun when we can’t customize them at all.

Mix & Match is a thing…for armor skins. The entire rationale behind outfits is defeated if you enable them to be mixed and matched: they don’t have to ‘work’ with any other armor and only have four dye channels. Some of us like the no-muss|no-fuss aspect: you can put an outfit on a new character and not have to worry about skins as you swap in new gear.

2 — Correct. The only things lost are items on the deleted alts. He should strip every alt of everything, even their inventory bags, put shareable items in the account bank, sell/salvage all the soulbound stuff, deposit the mats, and end up with naked alts before deletion. Or else he’ll be going “darn it! I forgot X item was on that alt!”

I’ll pass this on! Thanks a bunch!

One more thing you need a shared guild bank for him to store his gold or it will be lost when he delete all his chars I think

That’s not true. Anything in the wallet remains. Only items that he wants to transfer need to be moved to a guild bank, which might include mats and items special to you.

Gold and most other currencies aren’t attached to characters.

lol I didn’t best answer one because none of these answer help to the least bit. If you can complete over 3 breaches and still receive the bonus rewards please link screen shot or stop commenting.
I test this once every few days personally and maybe its me that’s bugged? im leaning more towards trolls or uninformed people that haven’t tested though. In game several others also said they have the cap.

Do you remain in the same instance after a breach? Or do you use the LFG tool to find a new map? Are you looking at breach only? Or breach + vinewrath? or just vinewrath?

And just because I like to double-check the easy stuff: are you sure that your bonus chest isn’t just automatically opening for you? (the bouncies do that, once you start to accumulate too many) If that’s the case, it’s possible that one might get the rewards and just not realize it.

Finally, let’s all assume that everyone is posting here in good faith. People are going by their personal experience, which might or might not be representative of the majority of players. There might be various other factors involved, which we just aren’t noticing by how each of us is phrasing our findings.

Let’s also not get too excited about seeing (or not seeing) any screenshots: we would still have to accept on good faith that the person is showing the relevant bonus chest after X number of successful breaches/vw/etc, at least not without a (really really long) video.

tl;dr I’m not sure that we’ve established that we are comparing Apples to Apples, which could explain why people are reporting different experiences.

“Elite” was a poor word choice: these specs are not intended to be better than non-elite, just different. However, “Horizontal Progression Placeholder Name for Alternative Specializations” took too long to type and didn’t have a good acronym, so they went with “elite” instead.

For the first iteration, of course ANet (and many of us) want the elites to be good enough that we’ll want to choose them over the others. Over time, however, the meta builds (for all game modes) should end up with a mix. It’s hard to say what things will look like six months after launch, even if ANet doesn’t change anything between now and then.

And given that games evolve more slowly than the community does, often the meta will seem stale and static, while ANet figures out how to balance — that part won’t be different from how things are now.

[Suggestion] Account Name Mail Addressing

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Eventually, I would really appreciate it if the sender of mail in the game was represented at all times by the account name, rather than a character name. I feel this change is necessary because, as a guild leader who gets mail from potential members, it is impossible to determine what account is sending me mail from the character name in the mail address. An interface change that allowed the account name to be seen on hover in the mail window, as it does in chat, would work well. Not having this information on hand makes finding an account in a long friends list hard.

In the mean time, perhaps there is something I’m missing. Does anyone else have a work around that would allow me to make a guild invite more directly from a character name in a mail message?

The friends and guild list could include two columns for the name (instead of 1 column + mouse over), one for the current character and the other for the display name.

Even without that, I’d prefer to see the display ID get more use: it’s the one part of a person’s account that never changes.

You can use one of the various sites that uses the GW2 API to show your inventory. Then you can search on a webpage, which will search all your characters and bank for the item.

gw2efficiency.com is one of many such sites.

An easy speed boost for mesmers is use the healing mantra with superior runes of the centaur. Even without the 3-charges trait, you can maintain swiftness indefinitely (although that’s a bit tedious) or simply have swiftness on demand. Superior Runes of Speed are also good, but significantly more expensive the SupCent.

I would take Blink over Signet of Inspiration because SoI has a tendency of giving unexpected swiftness, sometimes causing one to jump farther than expected.

Portal+Mimic and Portal+Blink are great mobility tools. (To get mimic to work with blink, set the initial portal and use mimic just before you place the entrance portal.)

See the discussion at https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Will-there-ever-be-an-Oceanic-Server/5254720.

The conclusions are the same (even if the details differ somewhat): the cost is too high for the benefit. If you really want to see a new data center located closer to [insert location here], you’ll have to find some way to help ANet generate hundreds of thousands of new players for the game just by adding that data center.

  • The cost of setting up and maintaining a data center can be high for a game with 24/7 connectivity & security requirements.
  • Players at any new data center would still be isolated from NA & EU players, which has major implications for WvW and even for open world, sPvP, and instanced gameplay.
  • A smaller issue would be the loss of players from NA & EU data centers, which would have some impact on the experience for those communities.

How did you come up with the idea that breach/vw should be capped?

Is anyone saying it should be capped? I think folks were simply claiming that they didn’t get all the rewards from every successful vinewrath.

I know people who farmed it a dozen times/day and had tons of nightmare keys. If there’s a cap, it was added recently and not documented in patch notes.

Easy enough to test though.

The rate may be lower than a gold per laurel. I tested a full monthly cycle (55) a few months ago and got around 70s each. I’m about to try out 500 laurels within the next week which should produce a more reliable result.

nice, let me know what you come up with. of course, the number will change constantly as the T6 mats change.

I had enough to reach 500 so I went ahead and cashed out. Looks like I can blame the horrible sample size I originally used which is a relief. I’m making slightly over 98 silver per laurel based on a sample size of 500. This is based on the profit projections off the TP using sell prices.

If you watch those prices for a week, you’ll see a lot of variation by day and by hour.

I think some of the new API-using websites have widgets that keep track of the current values, usually with post-tax, custom sale prices. (They assume, as I do, an even distribution of the 7 mats, with 3 dropping per bag.)

We’ll have to see how it plays out over the next few months.

Yes. Let’s wait to see if there’s an actual problem before trying to solve it. Things might be a lot better …or a lot worse… depending on how ANet altered the open-world drop rate for keys and on how many keys were actually generated by key farmers in the pre-nerf days.

Excuse my ignorance, but why would you roll for T6 mats on this anyways? Ectos are really expensive….and you also need to spend spirit shards and obs shards.

If you’ve got a TON of Spirit and Obsidian Shards that aren’t doing you any good it isn’t the worst way to convert them into gold.

It certainly isn’t the best way though.

I can’t think of any worse way to spend spirit shards, except to intentionally waste them “upgrading” silk to gossamer.

Title says it all. It’s cheaper to just buy a new rune 100% of the time.

Not a whole lot of people even have the expensive infusions.

As others have said, that’s entirely the point: if ANet wanted these to be used for runes, they would have designed and priced them differently.

OTOH, I’d prefer if they renamed these items to “Agony Infusion Extractors,” since that’s their primary value.

About the limitations of free players

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

Let’s ignore what ANet might what from the play-for-free community and just discuss what is important to the buy-to-play community:

  • Without trading restrictions, anyone can manipulate the economy by creating tons of free accounts. Level-gating would barely slow down botters. Free accounts would be used to hoard materials until the market becomes favorable.
  • Without chat restrictions, RMTs would be free to spam channels/whispers with their adverts and trolls would be free of the consequences of acting kittenish.

So regardless of whether restrictions on PfF affect ANet’s bottom line, they still wouldn’t remove them because doing so would hurt the rest of the community.

Is crafting worth it for casuals?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Illconceived Was Na.9781

Illconceived Was Na.9781

You should craft if any of the following are true:

  • You have more time than gold to spend.
  • You like the process.
  • You enjoy making the stuff that your characters use.
  • You plan to make ascended or legendary gear.

Otherwise, you should sell your mats (at a custom offer) and buy what you need for your characters. It will save you lots of time.

Depending on the item, the savings from crafting is anywhere from nothing to minimal to nominal and is only sometimes a huge savings (predominantly for time-gated materials).

mailing system

Illconceived Was Na.9781

hi guys,

i got this idea for the mailing system. makes it easyer to trade and saver to trade with players with out useing the trading house. paying to get the item(s) out of the mail.

basicly player A wants to sell item x for 20g to player B. so player A makes an mail with the item attaced in it. then sets an amount off 20g to be paid to get the item out of the mail. and sends it to player B. player B get the mail and has to pay before he can get the item in his inventorie. then the 20g will be sent back to play A.

You forgot to say why spending the time and energy to implement & maintain this system would benefit the community.

  • Player A can already sell item X for market price.
  • Player B can already buy item X for market price.
  • Player A & B cannot trick each other into receiving the wrong item or spending/receiving non-market value for item X.
  • Neither Player A nor B will have to contact customer service to complain about a transaction gone wrong, where the circumstances depend on interpretation of chats and email.
  • Neither A nor B have to advertise their interest in item X to the tiny potential market in each map they visit, since they can already sell to the entire community, including folks that play every day and folks that only check the TP 1x/month.

In short, the current system is already wildly successful in allowing all players access to a free market in all goods. Even if there weren’t downsides to enabling email trades, it still wouldn’t be worth the trouble.

Hom Reward Calculator show unlocked heroes + pets like i don’t unlock them. (want to do 50/50 hom) pls Anet look on it

Any support that ANet offers for GW1 still requires a valid ticket: https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new

You’ll want to provide at least one character name from GW1 and what heroes/pets you think you’ve unlocked. As proof, provide screenshot(s) of the selection screen(s) for displaying statues at the Fellowship Monument.

Keep in mind that getting credit requires dedicating the relevant statue at the HoM, which means:

  • Pets: tame pet, level it to L20, and bring it to the monument. Recommended: release it at the zaishen menagerie, so you can use the pet whenever you like.
  • Heroes: bring the hero to the hall wearing their upgraded armor.
