This is getting ridiculous. I started running over to where the Kara Queen was spawned. On the way ran into a vet karka and we all froze in time….the Vet Karka was just bouncing forward/backward like he was spewing out his eggs….and all my skills on my 1-5 hot keys kept firing off but nothing happened.

Then lost game connection. This is ridiculous.

Just a curious question but just yesterday a buddy sent 100g to a guy to turn him commander, i always had the assumption u would get auotbanned for sending over x amt of gold or receiving x amt of gold. havent seen him online today so i was just curious.

No, there is no auto-banning for sending gold, or any other action in-game.

Serial Numbers

My friend and his wife both have an account but he is trying to find out which of the two serial numbers is his and which is his wifes.

Is there any way of finding it out from your account?

The only way I know of is to check the email that was sent to the address associated with the account, if you bought it from the ArenaNet site. If purchased elsewhere, I don’t know. It should not be a problem, though, as serial number is not needed to verify ownership, and your friends have access to both, anyway.

Level 80?

I know this is gonna sound stupid, but how am I level 80? I played the game about 8 months ago and until recently decided to pick it up again. I know when I stopped I was level 30+, but now I am level 80. Is it due to me downloading the mac beta (I was originally playing on my bootcamp partition) or something else?

Likely your account has been compromised, and someone else is/was using it. You should immediately change your game and email address password.

Well, if the only thing that happened to your account was your character was moved to another server, that is somewhat odd.

My suggestion is to change your passwords for the game and the email address associated with the game, and never share them. Because, obviously, someone else has them. Hopefully, you have authentication enabled, as well.

My account has been hacked and my world got switched from DARKHAVEN which is an american server to RING OF FIRE which is a European server. I already submitted a ticked and they just simply told me I am not eligible to switch worlds. I know i was hacked because it showed that someone authorized my account from a different location. The people who answer the tickets however don’t seem to care and now I have to pay 25 dollars to switch my character back over to play with my friend….It doesn’t seem to fair is there a way to prove to them that I was hacked.

You can update your ticket and explain you feel your account has been hacked. You may have received only an automated response. There is not enough information in your post to determine what has taken place. Good luck. =)

There 2 choices in this matter, first is to get to know the server community whether the server has a helpful community to transfer a player or not. The other choice is to find a guild that willing to transfer you over to have more guild member for their own. If you are not willing to pay to transfer

Guilds have no power to transfer anyone, but they might give you to gold to buy a transfer server, I guess.

You can guest around, and find a server you like, then either trade gold for gems, or buy them with cash. Or delete all your characters. If you delete your characters, remember to put all non-soulbound items in the bank, as it will transfer with you. The nice thing is, right now, all servers are open as there was a recent server population cap increase. Also note, there is a 7-day cooldown between server transfers, so choose wisely. Recently we moved to another house and in the insanity, the serial code was accidently thrown away when someone helped look through my things. I’ve torn apart my room and cannot find the thing.
If there is a way to prove I own this account and can get the serial for it, please tell me. I don’t want to get into a situation when I need it, and cannot get help.

Help would be greatly appreciated. It was my own stupidity that let the person help look through that shelf. (And I know they didn’t take it.)

They don’t usually give out serial numbers, but it isn’t absolutely necessary to prove ownership of an account.

Hey my brother has just brought gw but its says his password is incorrect even tho hes knows its right, what do we do??
also he cant reset is as it asks for his character name which there isint one. and yes we tried putting nothing

Is your brother using the email address associated with his game account? Using the display name will cause an error.

If he continues to have difficulties logging in, he can contact Customer Support and they will assist him.

GW2 HoM Calculator

I’ve been going back to GW1 to try to finish getting my HoM rewards.
The calculator is currently messed up-you can’t do anything on the page. Also you can’t see any of your current rewards or the checklist.
I’ve tried relogging/shutting down my computer. I haven’t been able to do anything since Thursday.

So is it just me? or is anyone else experiencing this, too? Any is there anyway for this to be fixed?

Need help for 2 sb ascended same infusion

Hi Anet! I bought 2 Althea’s Ashes today with the same infusion slot. I was under the impression that you will be able to use it,I can’t wear two and i thought it was a bug, however after doing some research I found out that you can only 2 ascended provided that it has a different infusion slot.

So my problem is i got stuck with 2 identical ascended accessory with same infusion slot. Can you Anet suggest what to do about it? Or can you even at least change the infusion to a different 1 so I can wear the other Althea?

Hoping for you assistance here.

-Just a small time player hoping to be a big time soon.

I tried infusing one with agony resistance that i bought from FOTM but I am still not able to wear both. As for transmuting it doesn’t work for amulet,rings and accessories plus it did not give me any warning at all. I guess Anet won’t do anything for a small timers though.

I am temporarily staying at a new location for a few days, and I attempted to login into the game. I attempted to authenticate my login attempt with the e-mail, but every time it said the authentication failed. I tried logging into the forums and the authentication e-mail was accepted. I tried logging into the game a again, and it still would not be accepted. Does anyone have any idea what is up with that? Thanks in advance

My only suggestion would be to temporarily disable email authentication, just until you log in, then re-enable it.

Hello, I am having issues resetting my password to be able to play Guild Wars 2, my PC has saved the password used so I am able to login to this, the official site, however I am unable to reset my password to be able to use it to log in to the actual game. I have both the code I can use from purchasing the game and I know the email I have used but my character name I have forgotten and have no knowledge, you can probably see why this is an issue. Please could somebody help me reset my password some other way? or please give me some other advice to solve this problem.

So how exactly does the phone authenticator work? Do you have to enter the code from your phone everytime you log in from a different ip or is it you have to enter a code everytime, regardless of the location you are in? My windows phone authenticator doesn’t seem to give the code when I log into my computer.

Even if you use Leaderboards, to check activity, it doesn’t really indicate when someone last repped. Determining when someone was ‘last on’ only tells part of the story.

You could actually speak to your Guild members, or send them a letter, I guess.

When someone wants to play with family members or friends in the game and they get the game for that purpose, being stuck on a different server is no good. It doesn’t matter what else you say, the simple fact is that they want to be together.

I guested one day on two different servers to find open temples for karma armor. From my experience it looks to me that you can log into another server exactly twice in 24 hours. This means you had better only want to play with your friend or family twice every 24 hours. If I’m wrong about that, please explain how you can guest back to the server.

How to guest

From the character selection screen, choose World Selection. Choose the world to which you wish to guest and click on the Guest button (next to the Transfer button). After confirming your choice, the game will place a suitcase icon symbol next to the guest world. The next character you play will be guesting on that server and continue to do so until you logout, change characters, restart the current character. To guest again (or with another character), repeat the same steps.

You are eligible to guest as many times as you like, but you may only choose up to two guest worlds every 24 hours.

Since you hinted that you have not played much there is the option of deleting all your characters and transferring for free. Just pointing that out as an option.

Ah, thank you ALOT. I didn’t know that I am able to transfer free if no characters as I noticed my mistake after making my first char. This makes it so much easier (and cheaper) for me. It seems like GW got nice community as I had good help in such short time.

I believe you will be required to wait out the 7-day cooldown first. Don’t forget to put any non-soulbound items you may want to keep in the bank, as it will transfer with you. Good luck. =)

Rich Dragon Coffers are probably purchasable in the Gem Store, whereas Dragon Coffers will drop as loot.

You may (or may not) be able to turn candy in for one or both. /shrugs

Hello! first of all this is my brothers account that told me to use it and reached out to the forum about my account that was blocked from the game and didn’t hear a word from the support team after opening a ticket for 2 days now. I would understand that your investigating my account and thats fine because im 100% sure ive done nothing wrong. Its just so frustrating not to hear a single word/email from the support team for that period of time. Specially i’m so close to obtaining my legendary weapon (Gift of mastery to go) and not being able to play to accomplish what is need to be done to craft my legendary weapon is super duper frustrating. Ive spent alot of money supporting gw2 and getting something like this is really upsetting.

Yes I have douible check and always check my Spam and inbox. Ticket # 130606-001140.
The only thing that ive receive from support team w/c is in my spam folder is the automated message. And thats it.

Your ticket was created on June 6th, and today is June 7th, so not much time has passed. Give the Support Team a bit of time, I am sure they will respond to your ticket shortly. =)

I have a soulbound item in the bank, as you know you can’t withdraw an other characters soulbound item (I think it’s stupid) but the problem I have is that I have deleted that character that’s soulbound to it and now I have 1 less slot in my bank. I can’t salvage it or withdraw it.

I don’t think anything can be done, sadly. I never thought about that, and I thank you for bringing it to my attention. Maybe some day there will be a tooltip/warning when you delete a character saying something like: Make sure there are no soulbound items in any banks, as they will be unable to be removed. ….or something like that.

Replacing one character's name with another

I have changed one of my characters names using a name change contract and a name that I had deleted on another character:

I “stored” a character (let’s call this Character A) with a name that I wanted for my main(Character B ).
I then deleted Character A – then used a name change contract on Character B using the name from Character A.

I did this all in the space of 5 minutes….I didn’t encounter any issues.

I agree we need an Ignore feature. I tried to ignore an especially obnoxious forum-user the other day, and found there is no way to do so. This person really irritates me, so it would be nice, and better for my health, to be able to never see his inane postings. Please provide us with a way to alleviate this stress. Thank you in advance. =)

If the above statement meant you have fixed it, I am afraid it is still not working. All the issues are the same. There is no way to read the EU version of the EULA.

Yes, that is the question…..Will Name Change Contracts recognize names from deleted characters on the same account as ‘available’ before the 24 hours has passed, or as ‘reserved’ even though they are ‘reserved’ on/for the same account? Has anyone tried this, or only used reserved names on new characters?
