Too much burn. There’s no need to have so many burn appliers, since it doesn’t stack in intensity.
It would be cool if torch would apply different conditions from engi’s tinkering.
Like frostflame, that freezes (we have only 1 way to apply chill afair) or smoke field to blind\stealth (it will sinergise nicely with being in melee) or destroying armor and stacking vulnerability. That would be interesting.
But burn? Nah. Only on autoattack.
+1 for torch in mainhand anyways.
Bow are for treehuggers. We are the heralds of progress and use more sofisticated weapons of war. And that’s why we can’t have hammers.
As a regular player I can say that I HATE overly full of themselves guild officers\leaders. Especially when they start demanding some special behaviour from people.
This is just a game for kittens sake. No one owns you anything.
I saw this too much times in other MMOs when guild officers bullied players in guild by threating them.
They can’t do this in GW2 and I like this liberal guild system very much.
Maces would be ok.
But two-handed hammers? Please no.
Why does my camera angle affect whether my flamethrower hits or not?

That made me quit FT.
Waiting for fixes.
Yeah, nice suggestions. It would add more depth to combat system and will stimulate players to pay more attention to what’s happening on screen instead of random buttonmashing while running in circles.
5 guardians faceroll.
About least wanted – I dunno.
I guess sigil in off-hand weapon works only for off-hand skills. Just a guess though.
Vahn, I wonder about their nature myself.
Cousland, blasphemy! Charr are mammals, while orkz are fungi.
Oi! Me bois would like to huv a wurd with yah wid their dakkas! WAAAAAGGGGHHH!
‘Tis a pity there’s no greenskins in Tyria. hurrdurr. We even have skaven. Guess boyz ain’t that good of a survivors.
Meh, who needs xenos.
Glory to the Emperor!
Several people do like to place the healing turret for the initial heal, then immediately destroy it to take advantage of the very brief water combo field that causes an area healing effect. Gives a nice heal and has a short cooldown.
Well yeah. That’s the proper way of using HT giving the most HPS. Dropping it just to give continious regen is wastefull and should only be used to draw mob aggro.
Also if you pick up HT it will have only 14 sec CD.
Or maybe add a “Recall” spell that returns you to a waypoint of your choice for free and have a 30 minutes cooldown. You know, just like in one other game >_>
Really nice idea. I like it.
I encountered this problem of unpopular events far too often. Sometimes people are even plainly ignore them, just running past or leaving after one downned state.
Or maybe make parry block only 75% of damage.
Well on my server opponents have a huge advantage in numbers. So they actually dominate everything. Making all of this content close to non-achievable. So unless ANET solves the problem of WvWvW balancing, I say no to this kind of thing.
Anything non-risen. Because turbo zombies on steroids are just lame.
Also I like skritt. Adorable creatures
Strange, my Healing Turret has the highest heal value of all healing skills and grants regeneration on top of it.
Elixir has longer CD and random boons are frustrating. If there was a trait that made elixirs give all their boons together it would be nice I guess.
Medkit is great for perma-swftness travel. But my medkits heal is so little it’s not worth it. Strange how you say it is more than HT.
I’d better wear a trenchcoat, than be running around in tight leggings like a ballet dancer >_>
Yes, it would be really nice to see some in-game holydays. Not just ones inspired by real world events.
We have a rich and colourfull lore in GW2 world, so why not use it. And other cities need some love too.
Yeah, I feel that I kill things faster with P/P than with a rifle, when having Power+Precision stats.
Some ideas:
1) Mounts should have +33% MS
This is somewhat of a middle ground between mounts being best way of transportation and mounts being useless pieces of vanity.
So people will be able to travel at a slightly faster speed and won’t just zip through location in a second.
Also, people who dislike mounts shall have an alternative of using their own swiftness buffs and avoid using mounts, without feeling themselves at a disadvantage.
2) Make mounts an utility\elite skill
This way mounts won’t clutter up interface with new slots and will add some choices regarding them. So you would need to actually pick mount as a skill on your hotbar, thus refusing yourself some other skill. And this “mount skill” should not be useable during combat.
3) No mounts in sPvP\WvWvW\dungeons
These modes were designed to be played without mounts and it should stay so.
4) No mounts in cities
I think all of us agree on this one. Cities already have free waypoints, no need for mounts there.
5) Mounts should be available at early-mid levels
Because mounts only for lvl 80 are mostly useless. If you’re 80 already it means you’re probably just sitting in one location doing nothing. And you can afford using waypoints 2 times a day.
Mounts are mostly needed by low-level players who are forced to run miles and miles around same old locations.
Suddenly I can’t sell anything in TP today. And it won’t show me the stats of items I want to buy.
Hope this will be fixed.
Charr actually need to have 6 of them.
I kinda agree to this.
If anet wanted us to have separate characters, the should have made separate banks as well. But what we have now is like a half measure.
You already can skip everything if you want.
And you’ll be able to explore places with mounts too.
Seriously, stop stating this. Because it is simply not true.
And no one ever told why we can have perma-swiftness in-game, but can’t have mounts, that serve same purpose.
Mounts are totally nice way to improve game experience for alot of players.
Charr already have cars all around BC. Mechanised mounts won’t break the lore. I would really like to see +33% MS mounts added to game. Since stacking swiftness manually is lame, routine and boring.
We already have perma-switness in game (well at least some classes have it). So how mounts will change anything?
I dunno really. Was reading forums about all classes and EVERY single class has people who say that their class is so unfinished and underpowered, while others are OP. I don’t even know whom to believe now.
Personally, I feel engi is ok with his really cool versatility. Just needs the bugs fixed.
Yeah, racials are kinda dissapointing.
They look really out of place on my engi.
I mean, he’s supposed to kill foes with technology and gadgets, not by praying to some godly forces. It’s not a priest for kittens sake. I want to use the power of steel and steam, not divine intervention.
And besides the condition removal there’s nothing really interesting anyways.
I dunno about Rifled barrels for PvE. In my experience you’ll be always up close and personal with mobs, so range won’t help you. I like the Precise Sights trait. It sinergises very well both with pistols and FT.
I play on Aurora Glade and have the same issue. Though I play late at night mostly.
But it really feels lonely at times.
Any advice on finding a more lively EU server?
So I am an engineer and pretty much blaize through every location on my perma-swiftness, running around any and all obstacle I don’t care about.
How is it different from mounts?
It only adds that stupid “minigame” of swiftness stacking.
I did enjoy design&scenery while I was doing the exploration part. But when I’m forced to run around same old location for Nth time it doesn’t matter anymore. I just want to get to my point faster.
Server-wide chat for LFG would be a HUGE step forward. Right now you are forced to either spam in LA, hoping to find players passing by (and with the recent event it is kinda impossible anyways). Or to sit in the area with dungeon, which is mostly not the area you want to be in.
Automatic dungeon finder may be a bit too far. But an easily visible server-wide chat is a good idea.
Now this is completely random. Wow.
Well, it depends on what you want to do.
Sure thief is better for 1v1 duel situations.
But in mass-pvp having a huge ranged AOE condition barrage is very usefull. Maybe you won’t be the #1 DPS in your mob. But you’ll help alot at killing enemies.
So I feell it’s kinda ok.
You can also get red horns city clothing from Gem Store. Thay cost 0 gems, so it’s a gift basically.
Eh?
I actually managed to be the only survivor in Inquisition and get the most team kills in Rumble on my first tries. Aaand capture the most villagers on my second Inqui try.
Rules are really primitive. How one can not understand them? You don’t really need to read anything either, it’s so intuitive. -_-
Really frustrating puzzle. Add to this bugged events, ghost hunt in 45+ zones and general lack of goodies and you get a failed holyday. Yay.
I kinda like flamethrower in PvE for its large and ranged AOE, which is also an autoattack.
PvEing with grenades really feels like a chore. Bombs have a lot of issues with ranged\running mobs. Rifles are ok vs single target, but kinda lame vs groups.
Flamethrower is casual-mode in this regard. Just grab a bunch of mobs, drop healing turret and burn them all simultaneously.
Level 80s, Haunted Door Campings, Lower-level farming, and problems with level scaling

Eh?
I never noticed any problems with doors. Just throw in some AOE (like flamethrower) and you’ll get your share. I find that having high-level dudes killing stuff very quickly is very convinient actually.
And events are completing smoothely also.
Yeah, I kinda fear that event will be for high-level players.
I started playing just recently and didn’t even knew enough stuff about the world to actually solve last clue myself. And when I looked up that in the wiki I had to run all the way to a 30+ lvl location. I’ve managed to get it, thanks to all the other players around but this is still not good.
I hope further acts won’t increase level range even higher as it will make new players to feel left out.
