You’re an ele, if he’s hitting you with heartseeker at 100% just out damage him, do a KD and burst him. Hell, you can just burst him while he’s hitting you and kill him.

Because you got your Legendary in PvE, PvE isn’t sPvP. As simple as that.

I think many players would find it annoying
Dueling is fine if it is added to an arena- heck you can even have an arena in all the cities.
Keep it out of the open world though- it doesn’t fit in with the game philosophy of co-operation.

Then rename it to Sparring, you’re not killing eachother, think of it as training between 2 heroes to improve their skills (which it pretty much is).

Haven’t seen a single spear with particle effects, but I have seen some VERY nice looking spears. Hopefully Anet makes a class that uses them outside of underwater combat. Hopefully it’s better than a Paragon lol.

What are your opinions on it? I mean, with guesting in, I think it would be awesome if they make an open PvP server.

Yup, it is. The only thing you get on your armor and weapons in sPvP is runes and sigils, of course, you have to do that yourself though.

So, will there be any new ways to get Ascended Gear in the Feb Patch? Or do you think there’ll be?

I don’t understand the amount of Laurels required for Asc. Rings. I mean, even I, who hates Fractals would rather do them instead of wasting Laurels on them since it would be so much easier to get them from Fractals.

I also don’t understand why Anet limited obtaining Ascended JUST to Fractals and Laurels, wtf? Why do we change how we play to keep up? Exotics, when they were the highest tier of gear were obtainable from: WvW, Crafting, Dungeons & Exploration Rewards (for high lvl zones).

Why all the hate for Sylvari?

Create a new character with the item you want, give that new character a Basic Transmutation Stone, transmute the item you want with another basic item of the same category (e.g buy a basic medium armor mask (low lvl) if you want to transmute a ranger, engi or thief starter helmet), now the item will say soulbound but it is acutally account bound and able to be stored into the bank. Grab the new mask with the character you want it on, use a transmutation stone (depending on your level) and transmute it with your current mask or whatever other mask you want.

You can also use this method if one of your characters has enough karma for Orr armor but another one of your characters does not. It doesn’t give you the stats, only the appearance.

Lol, well if you’re an sPvP only person, I doubt you play it for the rewards.

Maybe use SP (skillpoints) to buy them? You can determine the amount of SP they would cost.

Uhm because they’re awesome? In GW1 there was more than 1 type of Tengu, so I doubt the ones we have seen are what all of them look like, and it’s the lore behind their race that makes me want to play one.

Besides, if they were to make them a playable race, I’m 100% sure Anet would do up their animations and appearance.

Ive only had 2 exotic drops ever since launch, the only time I get exotics without spending gold is from completion awards. I think most people get their exotics from Fractals, but I hate Fractals.

Right now? No. A year from now? Some people will have laurels just sitting around, collecting dust. No harm in putting things in that they may want for an alt or something, when the day comes.

Yeah, lets just hope that by then they don’t introduce a new tier of gear that requires 370 laurels.

When I was making money for my warrior abyss dye (about 3g back then) I got the money JUST before the patch for dye drops. In about a week the price was at 10g, also got a celestial for my guardian at the same time too. But didn’t buy any for my main lol, I regret that so much since my armor looks grey even though it’s black dye -.-.

honestly the major focus of this patch was nerfing rich ori farming. They made it only 3 hits and they also changed mining picks to be lvl 45. Which alot of us had stocked up on so we could farm on our lvl 7 guardian or whatever alt you had parked there. They put in new no lvl mining picks from laurel vendor tho I guess they really wanted us to all buy those

You also forgot the balance changes and the revamp of Orr, making it MUCH less of a hassle to get through there. Also, there are no more dragons, which probably means the death of Zhaitan has actually happened now and it’s just cleaning up the risen time until Jormag. Oh, and the karma merchant Orr Boxes are yummy.

Okay, it’s 3am here so if I get this wrong I am sorry but it sounds to me like you’re saying people get the same rewards if they’re from a lower fractal lvl? That is WRONG, I ran Fractals lvl10 with some guildies and I’m only at lvl2 Fractals. I got no rings or anything other than what I usually get (the basic stuff like vials of condensed mists I think they’re called, never really cared for fractals because they’re so boring.).

But you didn’t answer my question…This is only a problem if someone only sPvPs. If you play other aspects of the game, you’ll get that daily pretty easily. And if you only sPvP, you have no need for laurels.

Most of us have real jobs and don’t live with our parents completely unlike yourself. PvE is a relaxing break for us because of how easy and simple it is. We shouldn’t have to sit there in front of a ranged NPC just to Dodge over and over again to grind out Evades, or hunt down NPC’s to rez, or gather crafting materials, especially since we don’t craft, or seek out 13 different types of PvEasy NPC’s to kill, etc… in order to get a kittening leaf so that we may one day stay competitive in WvWvW. Seriously get a kittening life.

I understand that you thieves want to keep your perfect world of instant kills and being able to escape with impunity, but lets face it, not fun for anyone that is on the receiving end.

You can’t overcome an instant death from someone you can’t even see.

P.S. I’m not glass cannon, I run a 28k hit point Glamour Condition Support build which works great for my WvW guild fights.

The 3 hit combo only works on idiots or people who aren’t aware, I’ve fought A LOT of people who know how to counter the instagib and give me a good fight.

Dungeons, there isn’t really any place you can farm because loot in this game suck.

Of course the drop rate has been nerfed, that’s why Abyss is sitting on 40g and other rares are expensive as well.

This game is close to my favourite game of all time. That title, belongs to GW1 atm. But GW2 isn’t far behind, only thing keeping it back is its lack of content, but with the new reward system for achievements and such, it’s definitely going to take GW1’s spot

Can’t wait to go back to other zones instead of WvW and dungeons everyday.

Thief needs rebalancing due to their 1shot burst damage. Ele needs more builds, was happy when I read that they might consider allowing Ele using greatsword. Engineer needs more builds too. Guardian need more unique skills not some same skill with different animation.

It’s not 1 shot, it’s a combo of C&D pre-cast, Mug, Backstab.

Don’t blame Anet for your own mistakes and be glad they’d even think about putting in this kind of feature for people who aren’t careful.

i play www cos i love it for the competition it gives and great people u meet. Being on a low sever doesn’t provide either. Instead of staying there and eventually get bored and leave, isint it better to join higher tiers and enjoy www the way its meant to be played.

My thief has 2k armor and gets hit for 10k with backstabs, you probably had stacks on vulnerability.

What exactly is complicated about putting in a feature that allows two players to fight against each other?
Right click them, select duel, they are given an option to accept or decline, they accept, fight happens and fight ends.
Lord of the rings online has a dueling system. Lotro, which is a very…unique…game has this.

The problem with your right click to duel is exactly like Tosha says.

People who are not interested will be forever spammed.
Never-mind that I can just see a bunch of duelers spamming people trying to do events and not contributing at all.

Have duels in arenas- end of problem.

There is no reason for people who want duels to oppose arenas unless they of course want to run around the open world harassing other players. In which case I’d rather just not give them the opportunity.

Then just have a block duel requests function similar to block function in general?

I never have a problem with other thieves with my own, they actually drop faster than any other class I face. With my warrior it’s even more simple to kill thieves, dodge when they get within 1200 for their mug ( you can tell a Backstab thief when you see Basilisk go up) stun, then burst. Dead within 3 secs, if it’s a P/D thief, time their C&D, make sure you have a purge and stun or K/D. Dodge the C&D, stun, burst. So easy, yet people are just too bad to admit they never spend time trying to counter and just QQ on forums.

I find it fascinating that the naysayers who claim that these classes aren’t op play those two classes themselves. Yeah that’s unbiased.

Let me bring it into perspective for you. So long as only two classes can 1-2 shot people, there will be imbalance. All classes need the ability to do that and so far I’m not seeing it. If an outsider can see the imbalance then there’s definitely an imbalance because I’m not posting because someone killed me or because I play that class in pvp and want to keep the power going for the class, I’m posting because I know this is one of the major problems. It’s not the class it’s that they allowed only two classes this setup in the game. That’s what’s op about it and that’s the imbalance.
