sorry to burst your bubble but…. wouldn’t you guys get left behind in fractals? :O
Left behind who? GW2 isn’t a competition.

You cant do it twice daily. You can do it twice on one particular day, but you wont be able to do it again the following day.
Daily means “once per day”. This concept is flawed unless they fix it to reset at midnight for every server individually.
Once per server Day period. Just because you can it do twice (once before 5pm and once after 5pm) means you’ve done it twice in two server Day periods.

There is no need for me to group up, since i don’t do dungeons and i don’t see a point in grouping for DEs
This. In fact GW2 is set up so that just helping each other out when not being in a group is just the same as being in a group. So, there’s really never a reason (doing DEs or Hearts or such.) to group up.

This doesn’t sound right at all. With gear and traits/skills, you should be breezing through the lower levels. That’s what happens to me. I tend to struggle at things close to my level (well, on my Elementalist), and have an easy time of it at lower levels.

Nah. It’s fine now I know.
I think of it now as a single gathering tool with so many uses until it breaks. So, 5 sickles is just really 1 sickle with 5 uses remaining. So, not combining them makes perfect sense.

how can i make the bowl of roux, when i put stick of butter and bag of flour in the discovery boxes it says " 2 possible recipes " and that i need to put another ingredient.
What am i missing?
What you’re missing is that you don’t discover it. You learn it automatically. Just look in your production tab.

BTW everyone, I’ve never really bothered with Dailies so far. What’s the reward for doing them?
Cheers.
Silver, XP, Mystic Coins for the Mystic Forge, Karma Jug that provides 4500 Karma (boostable with the different consumables and banners etc.) and occasionally some of the other gemstore items (transmutation stones, mystic forge stones etc.)
Wow. That’s really good. I’ll get on them next time I’m on and see what I can get done.

Hi,
This is really bothering me. I don’t know if it’s possible or not. If I’ve got 5 Copper Sickles, and 20 Copper Sickles, is there and way to combine them into 1 stack of 25 Copper Sickles? If I just drag one to the other, they just switch places.
Cheers.

I’ve got one that I think hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Use Map Filters to your advantage.
The little eye down at the bottom left of your map brings up filters. If you are struggling with map completion, turn off everything except completion. If you’re looking for crafting places, turn off everything except Crafting etc.
When out in the world, you’ll probably want them all on, but using them at specific times to find things is a life saver.
Cheers.

Well, in Rata Sum, there’s a vendor at the top level who sells yellow gear for tons of Karma. I presume those are exotics.
EDIT: I just checked the wiki. I guess Yellows are rares. Sorry.
EDIT2: It’s pretty sad that guildhead and gw2db are not up to par with wowhead with this sort of thing. With wowhead, you could just search for an item and then it would show you how it was available. No such luck with these gw2 sites unfortunately.

Really?
I don’t get it then. If the dungeon opens at level 30, isn’t it made for level 30-35 people to participate?
Gosh. I wish they had an LFD so that people of the same levels could all get thrown together for Dungeons.

Hey, thanks for all the responses.
I wondered what that mail at level 30 was all about
I’ll give it a try on my Warrior sometime, although I’m playing my Ranger and Elementalist to catch up right now.

Hi,
Please.
I have 3 characters. A level 35 Warrior, a level 22 Ranger, and a level 19 Elementalist.
At what level can I start entering Dungeons? To get a group for a dungeon, is there just chat or some other mechanism? Are there different dungeons at different levels, or do they all scale?
Oh, and for my Warrior, would people like to see me using my Greatsword, or Rifle, in a dungeon?
That’s about it for now. Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Well, I disagree, because he could have just been answering the post title.
sigh I guess I’ll just go start the 35-45 zone and find out for myself.

Sorry, that doesn’t answer the question. The question is – will they still drop in the 35-45 zone?
I know that I can go to other 15-25 zones to farm them, but want to know if I need to do that, or just carry on and I’ll get more.
Cheers.

Hi,
I need Small Claw, Small Totem etc. I’m now level 35 and have cleared the 25-35 zone.
So, are there more available in the 35-45 zones, or are the 25-35 zones the last ones where these drop. TIA.
Cheers.

I play solo, but love that this is a Co-operative MMO (unlike WoW). I play solo, but ask in map chat when I need help with something. Other players are really nice and jump at the chance to help out. I needed help with an annoying Skill Point yesterday, and a few others came and helped out. It was great. Then I went back to playing solo.

Player type G (or Z) here. Laid back explorer. My highest is level 25 though. Maybe things will change once I get to 80.

Well, just an update.
I FINALLY got that Remains of Northern Wall vista and skill point done. A great sense of accomplishment from it also. And, I took a breather and completed Black Citadel just for grins.
Now I’m level 23 and will go back to Diessa Plateau for more ‘fun’ later.
Cheers.

I can relate OP. I have taken 3 characters through the starting areas and have got enough (well, almost enough) just to get one crafting to 75. I had to actually farm a few Tiny Scales and killed tons of Drakes to get them. Problem is, they’ve made it so that you can’t do much of that. I was getting 1 scale about every 3 or 4 drakes, but then it dropped to 1 in 15-20 soon after that.

You know there are….other 15 – 25 zones you can go to……right?

Right?
But this is where my story went.

Well, thanks for the responses. I guess I just need to suck it up if it’s going to get even worse later. Now I’ve started, I feel I need to complete it, so I just looked the Northern Wall vista up on the internet. No wonder I couldn’t work it out
Anyway, I’ll try it again tonight.
Thanks for your words of encouragement, especially the ‘learn to play’ ones.

Hi,
I had great fun in the 1-15 zone for my Warrior and was looking forward to progressing further in this 15-25 zone.
Gosh, what a dis-appointment.
The wolves prowling everywhere are really annoying because they spawn more wolves and it takes a while to finish them off.
The Vistas and Skill challenge locations seem really bad and require looking on the internet to even see how any of them are possible. The remains of the Northern Wall is ridiculous.
Then there are the Hearts. Go catch some bugs and feed them to cows, but only the correct bugs to the correct cows. WTF? Others are just as bad.
I’m about to stop playing because of this stupid excuse for a zone.
Cheers.

Yeah, I noticed this during my time farming for Tiny Scales over the weekend. I wondered what was going on. The first ten or so Drakes were dropping something (with the occasional scale), but then it started being only 1 of 3 that would be lootable at all, and a scale only 20 or so of them.
Yeah, it is a pain.
Cheers.

Just try to complete as much of every map you come across, and gather all the ore, hierbs, wood that you come across. Also, level crafting if you want to.
All these will give you so much XP that you’ll be leveling in no time.
I find it best just to play, and not worry about leveling. I look at the level of my personal story and do it when I’m 1 or 2 levels higher, and go do other stuff until then.
This game is different from other MMOs. It’s all about the journey here, not the destination.

Advice for passwords I have seen.
Choose a phrase that you use a lot or that’s easy for you to remember:
Maybe ‘I really like brussel sprouts’. Choose the first letter of each word, and then add letters or numbers for the web-site you want the password for.
So, maybe irlbsgw2 for Guild Wars 2, for example.

guildhead seems pretty dead, and it seems that there’s no one there to fix anything wrong with the site.
So, I’ve switched to gw2db.com.
It’s very similar, and has all the stuff that you’re looking for.

I agree with you OP. I’ve played WoW for 4 years and recently stopped. This game is a breath of fresh air. Playing a Norn now, and it was such great fun taking down that level 15 elite with tons of other players. Reviving others while some people are still fighting and all heading back into the fight is great. Co-operation is the name of the game in GW2, not Competition like it was with WoW. Great game.

Thanks for not flaming my post. After re-reading it, I realized it was definitely flame-worthy, at least to those enamored of the game.
I ~want~ to like this game. I was on for about two hours today and there was not a single comment in chat. I’m wondering if I have to do something to turn it on?
Make sure you didn’t make the same mistake as I did in choosing a server.
I accidentally chose a European server, even though I’m in the US, because that was the list it first presented to me.
I have now switched to a US server and it is alive and kicking when I play.
Cheers.

Bored by what exactly? Don’t you like doing the Hearts? Do the events not spark your interest when they occur? Doesn’t your personal story seem engaging? Do you have the tools you need for gathering and not find that interesting? What profession and race are you?
Sorry, so many questions. But with a ’I’m level 5 and I’m bored’ statement, it’s a bit difficult to figure out what’s going on.
Cheers.

Hi,
How do you go about getting enough of them to level your crafting to 75?
I’m talking about the tiny totem, bone chips, tiny scales, and tiny venom sacs.
In my leveling, I’m coming up way short of what I need by the time I reach level 15. Do you buy from the TP, or do you go back and farm things like crazy in the 1-15 zone? I really don’t like buying from the TP, but if they’re fairly cheap, I guess that could be the best approach.
Cheers.

Devona’s Rest was pretty active yesterday in the Norn 1-15 zone. For every event, there were two or 3 players, and for the hard hitting elites, there were 5-10 people to take them down. Fun times.

You can use guildhead.com, or gw2db.com to look at the recipes and see the level the character needs to be to use the item. I don’t know of a way to tell in game though.

I don’t agree. I don’t find crafting really easy. You need more of the rare materials (tiny totem etc.) than you pick up before level 15 which makes crafting very frustrating. Well, it is for me anyway, because I really don’t want to buy anything of the TP.
Cheers.

BTW, sorry to bump this, but I thought you might be interested.
I realized what the issue was. When I started playing this game and creating characters, I chose a server from the drop down list. Little did I know that it defaulted to Europe, even though I’m in California. LOL No wonder no one was around to do events
So, I transferred to Davona’s Reach and am very happy, as there seem to be a lot of people to do events with.
Cheers.
