I like the idea of spirits being invulnerable. I don’t think they have much use currently. Even with this change, I think some of the spirits need buffs.

People defending this trait are just looking at their class. I had my grandma try gw2 for the first time, she obviously rolled a stone heart ele. Running around with a lightning hammer and wrecking face. Clearly this trait is overtuned. Camping earth is too strong. At one point the computer actually exploded from too much earth getting into the circuit board.

And to prove I have an elementalist, here is a picture of my ele running an earth camping stone heart build:

http://img1.photographersdirect.com/img/8818/wm/pd1172517.jpg

Please nerf this, every other game I’m now encountering earth camping eles. This is worse than turret spam since the ele’s are gross and they get mud on my computer.

Daily Engineer Winner

I’m not sure why I’m bothering to write this again, but they still haven’t fixed the daily profession winner, and I’m still seeing double daily engineer winner. I’ve reported the bug, and made a thread when they changed the dailies. This has got to be the silliest thing. Currently, you took the old system for daily rotations (pairs of 2 winners, eg: thief/guardian, etc) and simply doubled it. So sometimes (always engineer that I’ve seen) you get two dailies that before would’ve been okay, but along with another, cover the same profession twice…. Change the code to select 4 from the 8 professions and generate two dailies containing the 4 professsions. Instead of the program selecting 2 twice… I doubt it is exactly like this, but this seems like an easy fix.

Thanks.

The way greatsword works, the movement skills don’t work well with no swiftness. I find the sword to be leaps and bounds faster now. Greatsword, is definitely not great at speeding up travel anymore, but it has okay escapes in combat. I had to pop bulls rush and gs 5 rush, to get slightly (~100yards) ahead of a ranger who used swoop. First, I used rush, and noticed the ranger way ahead of me with swoop, so I bulls changed and passed him for the couple seconds before his swoop came off cooldown.

Greatsword needs a mobility buff.

Just to pop in here. Mending needs to be buffed, and made into a category. I haven’t found a good use for this skill yet.

Physical skills still seem weak.

I hope they don’t change berserker stance into resistance and allow boonrip to affect it. It would destroy many warrior builds.

That’s it.

I’m thinking of making a thread in the warrior forum on the skills that have been affected unintentionally by changes from the 6/23 update, along with skills that seem to have been missed by the balance pass.

Yesterday I looked at this thread, and it got my to try a shout warrior. It rocked. I was nearly unkillable, I could offer huge support to my teammates and increase their survivability. I didn’t use a bow, but I ran M/Sh, Sw/Wh. Perma regen with a banner slotted (90/120 seconds, but combat is almost never during the downtime), amazing condition cleanse, super tanky, great mobility. I never played the old build, but this new one has me thinking it may become the meta warrior build it was so strong. Its a support build, so I didn’t win every match (while pugging), but it felt godly, and when my teammates knew to rely on me, we destroyed any teamfights.

I’ve also noticed more of this since the new patch. I hadn’t noticed as much on my ele due to skill spam, but on my warrior, less skills means I notice more when my rush doesnt go off, or my whirl. I hope they fix this delay, as I can’t be lagging so much more since patch.

Condi meta is the worst...

in PvP

Loboling.5293

So far, I’ve played ele and war in pvp since the patch. I thought that maybe, since I had only played ele since patch that I may have been bias. But I don’t see much problem with burning. Most classes were given extra cleanses and if you slot them during this meta, easy peasy, at least for warrior and elementalist. My warrior plays often with only 1 condi cleanse too, and it works out fine. (on weapon swap) But I also slot beserker stance, which, for a zerker build, is even better than a cleanse. So I’m taking advantage of my traits and utilities and find I don’t die to conditions any more often than I do to direct damage. I basically die when I’m out of position with no way out, regardless of how my enemies are bringing me down.

On my cele ele build, I can shrug off conditions easily. But, with my lower hp, I notice when I get hit for one tick of burning from a guard (6-12 stacks), but I’ll usually cleanse before even that one tick.

On my new bunker warrior. I barely have to move and I feel nearly invincible. I think this will actually become the meta warrior build (or some variant). I can offer great team support with cleanses, heals, fury, perma regen, some might, vigor, swiftness, and banner. I’m always the last one to die, and it takes usually three to force me off a point. (although lack of stability is the builds weakness) But with high mobility, I play like a mobile support class. And it works amazingly.

Condition builds will either get nerfed, or mostly forced out of play by all the classes that can sneeze condtions off themselves. I know warrior and ele can survive forever 1v1 against anything. (ele can even do some decent damage) The warrior can even protect his teamates from conditions, while the ele build cant protect his teamates directly, instead focuses on cc and hard rezes/stomps.

Overall, I’m having fun in this meta, but I’m still unsure of what class I’m going to focus on for HoT. Specializations will probably dictate that. In fact, forget condition damage, lets hear about the new specializations!! No more waiting!

You’re doing it wrong.

Roughly the same build, same exact armor set, same weapons, same playstyle. I’m not the only thief who’s having problems. This most recent patch has negatively affected the thief class, you can’t deny that. Especially in WvW.

LOL

sorry, but with all the changes that came with this patch, did you expect the “same build, same exact armor set, same weapons, same playstyle” to work? Everything has changed, those who adapt will grow stronger. In the end, there are probably many imbalances, but don’t even expect to understand what you are doing wrong, without trying something different.

Even if thieves are the worst profession now in wvw, I’m sure there is tons you can do to adapt until a balance pass is done. Things will fluctuate for a while, but gradually, they will get better.

I also haven’t changed my gear since patch, due to being broke. I also know that some balance patch will drastically change the status quo sometime in the next 1-5 months. Sure I get wrecked, but I’ve been trying many different builds and have been having varying success in wvw. (on my ele who is wearing 90% zerker)

Which specializations should we level with?

I’d imagine fire would be the best starter one. Weapon is up to you, but once you get a 33% reduction to fire abilities, you can go to town. Air is not bad, but you can replace air with signet of air for movement speed, and arcane is not bad once you get elemental attunement. If you can’t stay alive, go water.

You’ll be switching attunes often regardless, but on my d/d, I can slaughter npcs by just camping fire, and switching to something else to stack might or move with rtl in air. Just be sure to slot either glyph of storms or frostbow for leveling, group up the npcs, and smash them to bits. I use both for pve. (usually air storm along with 4 in frostbow in water due to the 20% damage increase from the water line, but that is not relevant to leveling so nevermind.)

I got crit with burning on my finger when using the barbaque… Was super painful. Not as bad as 18 stacks of burning, but it was pretty bad.

I know this sounds crazy, but if I wanted to apply a dynamic and interesting limitation to burning, well the more fire there is, the faster it consumes oxygen. Given this concept, you could have higher stacks of burning decrease the burning time. So if you stack 18 stacks, it could cut 1.8 seconds off the total time. So the higher the stacks, the shorter, but more damaging the burn. If you wanted to be lazy, you could decrease the burning time by 10-20% on most abilities. It would give the same overall result, but the first suggestion feels more visceral.

Ele is so OP. You can use 20 skills BASELINE. And each skill is super powerful, have you seen phoenix?!?!!? How is it fair for them to shoot me with 6 pheonixs back to back?!?!? I wouldn’t be surprised if the tempest gets some kind of I-Win button. And have you seen TORNADO?!!? that thing flings people all over the place while dealing damage and blinds. NO, just NO. Nerf the Ele.

Secondly, I got something to say about 6 of the remaining classes: They are too strong!

Only class that’s balanced is the one I’m playing, cause I don’t like being meta.

Good luck A-Net, just remember the lessons of ride the lightning. If you really apply yourself, you could do the same thing with each ele skill. Maybe make offhand dagger 5 water skill give double cooldown if it doesn’t cleanse a condition. Number 4 in fire (staff), double cooldown if the ability doesn’t evade an attack) . Just follow that train of thought, and you’ll be golden.

Thanks.

Low level more powerful than down scaled

I have no problems with maxed gear lowbies having some extra of the stat/s they build for. At 80, gear comes with 3+ stats, at low level it comes with 1. Do this same test at level 60 and we’ll see. I feel very strong at 80, stronger than I did while leveling. You know why? No one spends 5-10 minutes at each level to fully regear their character. The diffrence is small, and while its nice to buy a few upgrades while leveling, the idea that an 80 downscalled is competing with a level 2 in maxed gear, like the weirdest situation ever, is ridiculous. Downscalling may not equalize every stat perfectly, but it does a good job of making the content enjoyable regardless of the level. I’d say its not broken. Again, do this with any level where stats start dividing into 3, and we’ll see how it works out. Going 100% power at level 2, compared to an 80 that doesn’t even have that option is silly. The 80 has precision and ferocity, as well as any defensive stats. 80s are stronger than lowbies, and quite close when lowbies spend way more time than needed to gear up. You can be as strong as an 80, level and have to replace every piece to reach that same point. (this is also without traits, and possibly all your skills unlocked)

Seriously, if guild wars pve is too hard for you at 80, get a friend who plays games to come and help you kill your enemies. Instead of two shoting your enemies alone, you can one shot them with the help of a friend. I mean the only deaths I’ve had at 80 in open world are from fall damage, afk and a handful of times dying to group content. I had one npc put 62 stacks of bleeding on me with one ability since the update, was shocked and I just died in a few seconds cause I forgot to bring cleansing I should’ve brought a maxed out level 2 with me for some assistance. Oh wait….

Let me talk about the second paragraph first.
I’m not complaining about the difficulty of the game.
I’m complaining that it is easier with a true low level character than with a decked out down scaled max level.
It is fine if the low level and the downscaled are as equally powerful but it is just down right silly when better gear and higher real level translate into worse.

About your first paragraph, if you follow the links you will see examples at several levels.

But I’ll leave you with (example from the links) a true level 54 with green gear on the left and a mix of level 53 rare gearvs an ascended level 80 character downscaled to 54.

I appreciate that you took the time to bring up relevant pictures. However, I still don’t see the issue. The geared 54 vs the geared 80:

70 more power
7% more crit chance
62% less crit damage
1500 less hp (18% of total)
Missing some utilities
Missing most traits

So while the 54 has slightly more critical chance and power, he’ll still deal way less damage, and lack a lot of utility and survivability. And as soon as he goes anywhere that is not level 54, downscalling will affect him as well. Thirdly, in an hour of playing he will have lost strength compared to the 80, unless he spends more gold and time getting gear for each level.

Again, I don’t see the issue with downscalling. It is working well in my eyes. There may be a couple locations on a map where a lowbie who is decked in top gear will have slightly more of 1-2 stats, while the 80 will always have all his traits, and utilities, and never feel kitten .

Either way, last time this complaint was brought up, changes were made that made leveling even more faceroll, I don’t want to see that happen again, but it may be inevitable.

How about we nerf...?

Loboling.5293

I’ve listed my thoughts under each point.

So, I’ve been thinking as everyone has been asking for buffs, which is totally understandable, there could also be a list of things that should be nerfed. I’m asking for an opinion from people who actually main ele/play ele a lot, to see things from their point of view.

What I think should be nerfed/reworked:

1. Diamond skin. I’m not a fan of this at all, it’s either too strong or completely irrelevant. I do not like how easily it counters condition builds in 1v1 scenario.

I’m not against changing diamond skin, but it would need to still be great. Maybe reduces condition duration by 50% while below 50% hp. It’ll probably end up passive regardless.

2. Stone Heart. Again, this trait just promotes passive play and to gain the most out of it, you would need to be camping earth. I think this is just badly designed trait.

This trait is terrible for passive play. I don’t know of a single build that works anymore for passive play with this trait. However, the trait is awesome, and I use it in many of my builds. When you sense incoming damage, you swap to earth and take the hit with protection and stone heart. It is a wonderful trait, and I don’t want to see it changed. I think its the only thing keeping my build viable.

3. Blinding ashes. Another passive that I’m not a fan of. Blind is pretty strong and therefore it should reward a skilled play, not random burn proc you get from another trait.

I think an interesting change could be to change your fire fields to also cause periodic blinding. It won’t be as frequent, but it would be better controlled, and aoe. I’m honestly not sure on this trait. I feel its weak, but I’m not sure how to help it.

4. Tempest defense. As much as I love this trait, I think there should be some rework to it, there’s literally no counterplay to it since Shocking aura will proc the stun from basically anything.

Again, why change this trait. It doesn’t need counterplay, even though it has some. Rather, it is the counterplay to stun->burst. It prevents you from being trained as hard. Counterplay is to stun the ele, leave them, and then do your burst cycle.

5. The buuuuurn. It’s not just ele, it’s all the burn in general, it’s a bit too strong I would say.

Burn feels fun to me, but I could see how nerfing it would please the masses. I just tried a burn build last night. It didn’t seem as strong as my standard cele staff. Overall, I think people are overreacting to this. Cleanse can help, but maybe that’s cause I’m an elementalist, and we have some of the best cleansing in the game. Either way, I won’t be hurt if this is nerfed some. But it will decrease ele build diversity some.

So what are things you would nerf/rework if you were on the ele balance team?

Although, I haven’t had a chance with the personal story restore, new jumping puzzle in LA, simply rediscovering LA and doing pvp, to modify my wvw gear to something that works better. In a couple months, things will have settled. If mesmer are still dominant in roaming (same as before patch) well see. If you are trying to tank hits, you’re doing it wrong. Stone heart gives a huge reduction to incoming damage. I go many games without dying, so if you think protection and stone heart alone will keep you alive, well….. You need to dodge, teleport, cc, and the tiny damage that gets to you, you block it in earth, and then cc and escape. Mesmers that have crazy burst, can’t keep up with the mobility of an ele. If they are chasing you, and not actually killing anyone with their burst build, you are doing ok. Stay close to your allies so you can run in to rez them, and assist, otherwise, just focus on staying alive. (my build is a cele staff support build with mercy runes)

There is still a lot of work to be done with the elementalist: Elites suck, Glyphs are mostly meh, signets are mostly meh, conjures are mostly meh. and some weapon skills need some work (scepter water 2, etc). But these problems have persisted from before the changes. I actually think the ele feels more intuitive since the update, and generally more fun.

Tourney build/classes ranking

in PvP

Posted by: Loboling.5293

Loboling.5293

It is too early to form rankings… But the previous list has a few of the strong builds. However, I’ve seen much variety amongst them as well. For instance, I play a cele staff ele with earth: armor of earth, stab, and stone heart ; water: frost aura, cantrip mastery, and cleansing water ; arcane : vigor, rez speed, evasive arcana. This is with mercy runes, and doom/energy sigils.

Very fun build, and I don’t 100-0 anyone, just keep my teamates alive, while trying to stay out of peoples focus fire. It feels like I’m playing a combat medic, that sometimes has to fight back to push enemies away. Fun playstyle. However, its almost the same a my old build, but with added stone heart and evasive arcana, which help me survive some of the burst with the changes.

I think we should let a couple weeks go by before strong nerfs to builds. Some seem op, but wait until other classes build counter-builds.

The duels at the end look balanced. I’m enjoying the new “meta”, but it’ll continue to change as players experiment. It still feels like you have lots of control of your success when changing out traits, etc. Build vs Build, but due to the twitch play, it falls down to who is the better player, if both players aren’t countering the other. Either way its a team game, and I’m having a good time. (this as a cele staff support ele with mercy runes)

But the video was fun to watch, so thanks for that. Duels were really fun to watch. This game reminds me even more of shooters than it used to. I love it. Best action mmo out right now imo.

Loboling.5293

I think people need to adapt their builds a bit, the damage is definitely higher, but so is class utility. I find all classes can do things they couldn’t before, trying to tank the damage rather than use your newfound avoidance is silly.

Ele: Teleport, and stone heart is easy to pick up, along with auto frost aura, well if you build for it and properly cc, you can survive lots.

Engineer: Block, double toolbelt superspeed, mortar range

Guard: Blocks that punish your enemy with burning, teleports

Warrior: insane mobility, invulnerability

Mesmer: Stealth, teleports, clones (sometimes help)

Thieves: Teleports and stealth

Ranger: Double block, double leaps, invulnerability

Necro: Tank it, sorry, I’m not familiar enough with this class, but I can’t stand classes with no mobility.

Everyone has some new toys to “bunker up” to avoid burst damage, but its more focused on avoidance than mitigation now. More active play, which is fun, but harder for players with low coordination in-game.

I haven’t tried fresh air d/d since the update, but that was one of my favorite builds pre-update. I think it will still be viable, but I haven’t worked out a build yet. It plays a little less fluid than cele d/d, but anytime someone makes some distance you zap them and then close the distance. It provides some excellent sustain damage in pvp. (used to) I’ll probably try and make a working fresh air d/d this week-end.

I’m just having so much fun playing cele staff. Its not super strong in 1v1, but is a beast in team fights. I always feel like I was in large part responsible for a successful team battle. CC, healing, rezing, stomps, you play a lot like the old cleric guard, but with more mobility and damage and less staying power.

Burning functioning as a burst condition is great. I’m not against lowered the damage a touch (~10%), but the fact that it ticks for high and is gone quickly gives it some identity. Also, being on fire is generally you don’t want to be for long. If you are burning for 20 seconds, you should be dead. So now, you burn for a couple seconds (minus a couple skills) and take decent damage. It allows condition users to do some burst.

I’m finding it easy to survive (if your on your game) with an earth, water, arcane build. The big important factors are water healing and stone heart in earth, combines with protection from arcane and you take almost no damage during bursts. I go most games without dying, but winning…. well that depends on my team. But its still fun to keep your allies alive, and stay alive yourself.

Is Elementalist fun?

in Elementalist

Posted by: Loboling.5293

Loboling.5293

Ele is fun, but very different from ranger. It makes a good main due to the higher level of cooldowns you need to remember, which if you don’t play it often enough can make the class seem hard. The elementalist has gotten even more fluid though since the update, and I’m liking it even more than previously.

Currently:

Fire = damage
Air = cc/mobility/damage
Water = healing/cc
Earth = cc/defense

You can now more heavily focus on specific elements. So oif you want to boost earths defensive nature, you can take stone heart and be immune to crits in earth, or go in arcane and get protection in earth, or reduce the cooldowns on earth skills, which will help you stay alive. Or you can focus on fire magic, and deal even more damage in a few ways, you can even transform fire into something more defensive, by making your burning blind foes.

All in all, its a fun class with lots of potential, but a bigger learning curve. Since PvE is so easy in this game, you have plenty of time to learn the ropes. You basically swap to the attunement for the situation and use the corresponding skills and then move to another attunement for the next moment.

For pvp, I’m having lots of success with a celestial staff build. (very similar to my old build) You play as a support for your team and prevent them from dying. You have some good safe rezes with mist form/protection and stone heart in earth and stability. If you let yourself get focused without being in earth in stone heart, you can go down quick, but due to the versatility of the ele, its just a button press away from reducing incoming damage heavily, and another to heal back up. Lots of fun and very involving. Much less passive than ranger.

I hope you enjoy it, and hopefully you don’t have the same issue as me that I can only truly play human characters. I made an asuran ele which was nice for a time, but I rerolled into human shortly after hitting 80.

Good luck.

I don’t think eles have gotten much stronger than before. My old staff cele build still performs well, and falls apart when I can’t support my teamates. I’m not against some nerfs, but they would have to be really light, as many other builds feel weaker against the current opponents I face in pvp. I can only stay alive well with my earth/water/arcane, full defensive build, but its fun when my teamates are in position.

I can barely do anything to mesmers who are good. (on anything other than this defensive build)

This issue will be best remedied by adjusting the underused traits. For now I don’t mind, but I expect that 6 months from now, you will have to do a serious pass at the numbers for some traits. Eventually leading to them all being competitive. I really hope we get there this year, but I’m not opposed to waiting until early 2016 before trait balance is achieved. For now, diversity feels about equal to previously.

A bug I noticed, but haven’t check it elsewhere. Whirlpool, the underwater elite, does not do anything when used in lions arch. The skill has no #1/2/3 abilities and simply makes you look like aterribly animated whirlpool. Making the elementalists elites worse than just kitten, they are actually useless. (That is if this also happens in other zones, which is probably does, but who cares about underwater combat)

Also, to mention, as a human, it is the only elite that works underwater. Meaning for now, we have no underwater elite. Not that it changes anything. XD

I think there is a bug with S/D with air attunement. I noticed it fighting megadestroyer, if you just let your skill 1 arc lighting run auto attack itll stack up to well I dont know how high it’ll go but mine was up to 45k(no might buffs) when he died… not sure what that is all about. But im new to the class so…maybe its just me. if you do any other skills with the exception of skill 2 lighting stirke it’ll disrupt it, however if you just keep letting it auto it just keeps climbing in damage. Happened on teq fight as well escept there I had some buffs and was up to 65k.

This is not a bug, but rather how damage is displayed in this game. When you use an attack that constantly channels, the damage you are seeing is the total damage dealt. So that 45k, was 45k damage dealt to the shark throughout your encounter. If you stop channeling and use another attack (instant attacks don’t interrupt your abilities), the counter will reset and begin countering the damage dealt for the new attack.

Is it just or is level scaling out of whack ?

No. The patch notes means you are weaker after the patch than before the patch. On the other hand when upscaled such as characters below 80 going into WvW they will be stronger after the patch than before.

Okay, but when my lvl80 is downscaled to lvl25 and is weaker than a character actually lvl25, this isint right either.
they should be equal at least

This should depend on what hear you are wearing, if the level 25 is wearing all lvl 25 green gear, he should be as strong as an 80 in full exotics. Once the lvl 25 does a few hearts and events, he’ll hit lvl 26 and lose stats, whereas the 80 will stay equally strong as previously. Getting all gear to your level is pretty tough while leveling, because you level so quick. I don’t see anything wrong with a level 25 beating a level 80 who is not wearing exotics. I am liking the feeling of downscalling on my 80 elementalist, but I know there are two crowds:

Those that want to faceroll all content once they hit 80.
&
Those that want a challenge during all content, regardless of level.

I myself want the whole game to be challenging, and to feel easier when I gear up. Being 80 by itself shouldn’t make you overpowered, but rather if you can get good gear. (which is an incredibly easy thing to do)

Yes please! This was hilarious when I noticed that hero challenges are the same color as the ground in many locations. Make it blue again, or orange-red, or any vibrant color that stands out.

Aside from any complaints, I just wanted to thank the people who work on Guild Wars 2. I’m in aww by how wonderful the new Lion’s Arch is.

Thats it. Thanks.

New patch builds?!

It was always important to cover ether renewal with stability, shield or los, depending on circumstances.

I’m sure it is still a great ability for some builds. Once I start to find some good working builds with these changes, I’m sure I’ll find one that uses ER. Only time will tell, but I think outside of the glyph, ele’s have good healing skills.

I hope they fix some of our terribad elites and utilities soon though. Elementalist is fun, but it could be so much better with more build options. (in my opinion)

I am so confused! How do I reset traits?

Well not being able to change traits at lower level is a problem, but on the topic of max level characters (80), you should be able to unlock everything. (I have 43 skill challenges done, and currently have an excess of 50+ hero points) I’m not sure what it is like for a level 80 with no hero challenges done, but from the looks of it, you’d have even a couple points in excess at 80.

So if you can’t unlock everything at 80, either you are bugged, or your brain is. Assuming you made your gw2 account yourself and managed to get on the forums, I imagine this is just a bug and you should open a ticket. Otherwise, keep trying to click on the training tab until your fingers fall off.

Good luck.

Frankly, this needed a nerf on account that everyone was running blinding ashes before the patch. Now, we can get back to usual…I mean start to see players branch into other lines than fire…

Oh wait…

Last man standing or ffa with a score based on kills would be two modes that I think could be fun.

Of course, like always (even though this has been mostly ignored), it would need its own separate queue.

I play a staff cele build currently, and find it to be really successful. (as a pug queuer in ranked) The amount of team support I have is surreal, and I feel like a powerhouse. Mercy runes, along with tons of stability and mist form, means I can rez allies like no other. Very fun if you like to play support. (very little damage)

In the coming patch, everything is changing. You can’t look at this amulet change and say that damage focused eles will suffer. I’m much more concerned with surviving against the new thieves, mesmers, engineers and condi rangers. A little scared even.

However, we’ll only really see how it plays out within the next few weeks.

Agreed, but it will be really funny. There has never been access to so much power/precision/ferocity. The burst will be next level crazy.

It won’t be a good build, but it will be funny before people realize just how bursty classes can go now. Instead of berseker, the amulet should be called kamikaze.

Well I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Hey guys and gals,

I was wondering who else is going to be crazy and try a zerker build in pvp with these changes? I’m looking forward to it, but I’m not sure how to make it work yet, I’ll have to see. But with the ability to spec 100% damage, I plan on stomping on some people (not literally stomping as that would be nearly suicide with 11k hp).

I’m thinking either a staff massive aoe damage build with frost bow and elemental storm.

Or maybe a s/f (fire/air/earth).

This is going to be a fun week. Although, I’ll probably settle into a better build once the smoke settles, but the rage will be real before they remember how to sneeze my way.

Very likely to buy HoT tonight now

This was the one thing (5% → 10% change) that had me really doubt the A-Net devs. I’m still worried about limited content, but I love this game, and I know I can count on them to expand what they build for HoT.

Not to derail this thread too much, but I really hope they implement separate queue for pvp game modes (conquest, stronghold, deathmatch) and get a few extra maps for the newer modes. Also, build templates, that allows easy swapping of gear, traits and utilities with a button press. (only out of combat with a confirm button, and a 2 minute cooldown. )

Keep it up. It’s too bad the ship has sailed on getting some people I know into the game. They decided too long ago, this was just another wow clone… Wtv.

10x more excited for the expansion with exotic being viable.

Horrible presentation and lingering elements

in Elementalist

One thing that made me feel the same way, but I have since reconsidered:

Soothing mist, the water trait affected by lingering elements, continues to tick for 7-10 seconds after switching attunements. That is baseline. I had lingering elements for so long, I never realized that only fire, earth and air benefit from lingering elements. While it would be really cool with some of the new trait changes (25% movespeed in air, 150 power in fire), I like the feeling of switching to these elements to recieve the benefits. It seems too strong with the new traits.

I hope that helps. For me, once I checked and realized this changes almost nothing for my water healing soothing mist, I felt better. And I like moving fast in air, and dealing more damage in fire to compensate.
