A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
Well dungeon rewards are mostly ascended trinkets we already have in numbers.
AC gives a PVT accessory with offensive infusion slot if i remember well.
I’ll be getting TA, COE and ARAH soon i hope.
HOTW is my most feared…noway i’m playing the underwater paths.

The sad thing is it happens even in Dungeons, and PvE and everywhere.
Usually you had a quite high skill latency, then you have lag spikes of many seconds, and possible crash of many players.
last 2-3 months is getting near unplayable.

Did you know that meteor shower with blasting staff trait reaches 1380 range for some reason, and that meteor can deal 5-7k to my glassy warrior. And if i try to close gap i gotta run through a aoe that is huge and lasts long…..

The way I’m seeing it, enjoy lightning rod while you can, it’s going to get nerfed. The potential for bursts is really high and people will cry about being melted by Eles almost instantly. Lightning Hammer and Tornado make lightning rod deadly. Static Field + Gust will also be dangerous.
We’ll see an internal cooldown or gutted damage in a month or two max.
Lol, it doesn’t deal THAT much damage geez. The only way a Staff Ele would kill someone is in a combo where he goes, Static Field -> gust -> Lava Font -> Unteady Ground. And that’s a hard combo to pull off if your enemy can dodge.
Well I see no way to hide it, it’s going to get nerfed so..
okay there’s no ICD on lightning rod so there are some combos you can do that will trigger it multiple times for massive burst damage.
Static field + Gust an enemy INTO static field will trigger Lightning Rod twice, and it can do about 8k damage almost instantly that way.
Tornado when it hits will hit someone for about 4k (electrified tornado) + 3k (Tornado’s normal hit) + 4k, for over 10k damage every 3s to 5 targets, and that’s not even 25 stacks of might and all that.
Lightning hammer … the burst from that will kill people almost instantly. it’s about a 20k burst in 1s.
Dunno about tornado and LH.
But to get similar numbers you need to be hit by a slow combo of easily avoidable Attacks, witha DPS staff ele that won t live enough to even cast first skill and against someone that is for sure better than it at fightning.
I don t really think that LR is stronger than fresh air, unless you play a balanced staff ele in www where you get nothing close to what you said.

I could get many interrupts playing properly, and yet i didn t get so much damage to make any nerf request a thing.
I even tried to go berserker…..and trust me you do better with a PvE build than with LR in zerk.
We are nowhere close to pre patch dps… and meteornado did mostly 6K in a zerker build hits (dead istantly if any GS mesmer or thief passed by), so your claim is totally unrealistic.
I didn t see many staff eles in PvP…. and i don t think will prove to be an issue.
Tornado is a bad elite… can be CC easily by any boon stripping profession.
The concept of risk reward has to be thought considering possible counterplay…..and only a pvp golem would fall for it.
FOr everything else fresh air is still better.

It was told too many times already why this statement is totally wrong.
If you ignore a roamer your server lose points.

We already know since forever why many classes can go full berserker in WWW like stealth professions do.
I know you fear anet balance, because their answer is usually nerfing to the ground rather than giving you a balanced gameplay, yet is not a good excuse.
As i said many times, if you are in a guild, you almost certainly had some beginners using a thief, and for sure you heard what they said when they tried an alt in WWW.
Was maining the thief too, but now play ele as main for 1,5 year in all game modes (especially wvw). It is most fun to play for me (have 5 chars on 80), cause i do everything at once and it needs quite high skillcap. @LordByron i can agree with thief better at roaming, but warrior? nope. It is just harder with ele to make simmilar dmg (u have to cmake combo). For the mesmer I would say it is nice 1vs1, but in unbalanced fights it dies. To sum up I would say – best roamer – thief. Best taking camp/unbalanced fights roaming – ele and engi.
I guess by now we knew you can t kill a warrior or a mesmer or a thief.
So unless you play by self imposed rules (see duels and stuff) of chivalry, the fact of being immortal means being better, no matter what.
Ele is good until you discover your opponent can flee and reengage at will….leaving you with long CDs.

Thieves in WWW will forever be OP until they do something about stealth.
Its not only the burst.
Just stealthing and equipping some defensive items let you troll and slow down entire zergs at their spawnpoints.
Can get easy points on doliaks and camps.
Can keep a player in fight.
Can kill easily zerg builds.
Can use traps
Can scout with total impunity.
I’m not even saying what happens if a thief stealth other professions…).
Unless you are going to tell me a whole map can t play WWW on SFR you can t really defend that point.
You can survive a thief if you are good often (not Always).
You CAN’T kill a decent thief (as thief forum says, if you kill a thief in WWW its a bad thief).
Its not that ANET doesn t know it since even in the past a dev said “if you make a thief run away, you won” (shortsighted and unexperienced statement imho…. because www woarks differently).
Its more 100% balance is pvp centered disregarding everything else.

They kinda buffed the GS and main hand axe… Kinda. It wasn’t a buff but a much needed QoL fix to the signets.
Sadly, my Ele has been made useless in dungeons due to FGS nerf which was single-handily the biggest nerf this patch.
Ele still has the highest dps in a dungeon so stop complaining about it. They are still the very best dungeon class in the game. Also, did you not notice the huge buff to ranger longbow?
On the paper maybe….eles are still TOP risk profession, and now the reward is not enough in dungeons.
You know in order to keep a decent dps we have to sacrifice everything? even the healing skill?
If you want me to show how good you are in a CoE1 run with your ele i’m totally up for it.
(don t say its impossible, just you’d learn istantly why ele needs something more… even replacing elite with a skill that only does a blast…).

Ele has 0 viable elites in pve.

No matter how the game changes, it’s still a good game to enjoy. The only time I feel bad is when party with people and they start complain about others and how others should play. As if they can talk all they like to hurt people without constraint.
I was in a fractal 50 and I joined late at 2nd fractal (someone left I thought). There are 3 war using rifles as range weapon including me. 2 others just compalin about rifle war non-stop till we finish the runs. Any fault/wipe/bad things were because of rifle war they keep saying. They keep threatening if we do something they don’t approve they will kick (so someone before me was kicked). I’d not have joined this group if it’s on the description that they’d kick people. Anyway, if I quit the game someday, it’s not because the patches are bad, it’s definitely one of those games with these jerks that make me quit when I am out of patience. I pug using lfg all the time and I am afraid that kind of people are increasing. Why do I play a game and end up having a bad mood everyday?
Well see it in another way:
Before going toi fractal 50 i tried to be sure to be experienced enough and not to be a burden.
Respect works in 2 ways, if you just take a rifle warrior or staff mesmer to fractal 50, unless you know some undiscovered tactic (and you are lucky because fractal community is the only left to accept those, while dungeons are only a copy-paste of DnT videos), you are being a burden to the party.
They have the right to complain because the lack of dps (even without stacking) makes a fractal run frustrating and long.
You should not complain about the players but about the PvP balance team that made so many skills useless in PvE….starting from 99% ranged weapons (only exception is elementalist).

There were more good things, and each patch with few exceptions, takes away what is good from this game.
GW2 = great game, with bad management.
Despite i didn t read it anywhere i think they changed mini settings.
For example i like moas, and they nearly doubled in size since patch.
My mini doliak calf is bigger than an asura…
My seraph mage is still tiny (one of few exceptions).
In preview screen they are even bigger.
I hope they preserve new moas size anyway :| (they could use some more AA like many new sized minis btw).
But maybe that changed how textures or lod works with minis.
So, as you’ve probably noticed ANet, a very big part of the community is unhappy about some of the changes introduced by the feature pack, including:

That ruined most collections for most players.
The fact john Smith had also the gut to defend it made me lose the last bit of hope i had for a change.
This is the effect ot a broken system that he sees as “fantastic” so non TP manipulators and new players are deemed to live with it.
After all despite the increase the costs of items for real moneys is quite the same. The fact that Gold is losing any value doesn t matter.
This reminds me of Diablo3.
2) rewards…
Its a cosmetic game, just give us skins.
If design costs too much, just take some of the cheap good skins we have and change colour/add particle effects.
Worked for SAB and for TA skins.
A dungeon player won’t have much use of an ascended trinket if to get it you need 200+ dungeon runs.
Give me a choice of one of the same dungeon skins of another colour, its not so hard.
(or even better enable all skins of another colour in wardrobe+1 trasmutation stone… it would even push the need of trasmu stones)

Messing up things is normal sometimes (quite too much for anet but …).
Players are hungry because in the past, when they messed up badly things, they refused to rollback.
They did an experiment, it went totally wrong.
If for once they rollback everything it would just earn some trust back from players.
If they instead keeps on defending what we have, people gets upset.
Just revert changes and give us an elite that makes sense, like some signet or an utility slot :|
PvP maybe.
WWW roaming don t even think about that…thieves, warriors, mesmers are still uncomparably better than any other profession.
WWW zerging: too early to say… if you like support, go for it, if you like being something more than a waterbot, wait someone to test new traits properly… i suspect blinding ashes still doens t Worth it, but lightning rod could.
Pve:
Dungeons: Don t know, still high skill floor but without fgs the reward is behind a GS warrior since you need time to set up your damage, and evading will lower it a lot.
While taking all aggro and being unable to survive even basic Attacks is not good.
Fractals: possibly still the best dps profession for them.

Actually i’d like people to state when they are talking about PvP.
This thread talks about WWW where since more than a year any XvsX is problematic for eles.
And for sure you can t 1VS2, (would be problematic 2VS2, while 1VS1 is easier unless your opponent is one of the 3 OP/immortal professions) 1vs4 never happened unless lime in daphoenix videos you summon an earth golem and all your opponents starts focusing it.
WWW is not PvP.
WWW as it is now requires you to bring DPS, thus leaving you really weak if focused or hit first.
You lack stealth and sustained mobility to actually do something good.
Last 3 players saying ele was so strong in www were proved wrong in game <.< when i asked them to join me during roaming.
Example a condition ele is often better than usual tanky dps build.
Yet i believe that the slow trim applies only to warriors, guardians and thieves.
Other professions will be nerfed to Death as soon as they prove to be OP (with the usual months for devs to notice).
You can see how some profession gets small nerf of 5 or 8%
Others of 50-80%.
This applies to Ele (mostly), necros, rangers, mesmers and so on.

A spreadsheet is an average of thousands of tries. Why is it unlikely that he had bad luck? It says that the chance SHOULD be 18,9%, that doesn’t mean it is. A weapon drop for every fifth player (thus one weapon each run) does not have to happen. It is a player-crafted statistic, nothing more, nothing less.
I for my part didn’t have much luck with my fractals I ran around either (Around Lv20-30 most of the time). Droprates were better back then (and I think they were okay like this), but they weren’t as glorious as some people make them out to be.
As i said i can believe he had bad luck.
Bud he told me i am spreading lies and not he was unlucky…there is difference.
They were totally bearable.
And at that time they were scaling properly.
So if you did 20/30 you weren t unlucky, you simply were playing with lower chances.
Nowaday level 3X gives more than level 50 instead.

Asking to be moved from a low population map, while the mini is hidden due to high population seems not to work as intended.
It makes collections something that can only be done by the rich.
You might wonder “so what’s the problem just save up the money and buy it?”
The problem is it’s simply not worth it. You want to do the Uncanny Canner collection? Sure. the last two collectibles will run you about 44g. Doesn’t sound like much I know, but your reward for completing the collection is a 20 slot bag., something only worth about 12g.
You’ve made a system where the fun is robbed by the already wealthy people of GW2 working the market to get even more wealthy, and the carrot to chase is just not worth the hassle.

Collections: economy shock and flippers paradise.. totally unfair towards most players as Always.
Minis: like
New leveling system: awful grinding and huge stepback.
Balance: PvP balance is a slap in the face to 99% of gw2 players (see everyone but pvp players).
Bugs: this times there are too many, possibly more, and more gambreaking than any previous patch.
Content: well no new content for me.
3/10 i wonder if one day this game will have something good for non PvP, or Trading Post players.
Also the selling point of this game was opposing to korean grinding model.
Its switching toward it since release, maybe because they think grinding can replace content.

I don t defend it, but i guess if me and friends could unlock 90% skins with PRE FRACTURED system.
It was actually working somehow.
1 skin every 5 runs was not that bad.
And adding a 4X1 forge recipe would solve the rng issue.
Means with 20 runs at most you get a skin of your choice…. but without impacting level requirements. (no level 10 farming).
If you want more you are really asking for easy skins.
Now everyone knows fotm rewards are totally “fixed” (in anet dictionary means messed up).
They were fixed twice and broken 2 times more.
Usually the third time they manage to fix stuff looking back at similar cases… XD

This happens since forever.
I asked many times about it in TP section and the answers i received bu the fev itself would be infracted if posted by myself in another area, but in short he believes he is doing an awesome job and his economy is fantastic and we can t understand because we are not economists.
Even when i tried to say many players have a perception economy is wrong he answered my perception is wrong.
Until he will have a huge number of players going into TP section and outnumbering TP players there asking to preserve their privileges, things will only get worse.
We are going towards a diablo 3 economy, slowly but steadily.

There are several weird stuff in this game worse than that, but at the end seeing a warrior that must run away is even more fun.i warrior that cannot kill…. hilarious.
Since many seems to not understand how roaming works.
Lets pretend you are going to capture a camp not so near to your spawming point.
If you are a normal build takes a lot to reach it, then if you get spotted by passing players you have to flee or start again from the spawning point.
A warrior can for example keep you in fight for his friends to catch you and kill you.
If you are a warrior (and thief or even mesmer) instead you can flee at will, lose few seconds and come back when you want to finish the job.
Since defending the camp is not an option, not knowing if you will return or change target, nobody can prevent you from capturing camps.
And even if they manage it will take half time for you to get back from your spawn.
And this is only an aspect ot the OPness.
TL:DR
Playing a warrior/thief is like playing with save/reload opposed to play without if you play another profession.
For some reason its something that was nerfed into the ground for other professions.
ICan a thief outplay others and even get away in really sticky situations? Yes, mostly. But that requires thinking and knowing when to go in. One CC is often enough to kill a thief with a combo.
So hard to do that most beginners in WWW roll thieves for roaming and are effective.
You would be surprised what they say when they try other professions.
Thief is said to have high skill floor in PvP.
But for sure has the lowest skill floor of ANY profession in WWW.
One cc is enough to force a poor thief to cast a panic button actually…..it has more than 1.
Also there is the condi thief that is not even half bad.
Blurred frenzy.
Fits the profession perfectly.
As a dungeon/fractal/WWW player
This feature pack will just kill my www dps build.
And remove 1 skill from skillbar i will use in the next 6 months before they notuice they forgot to add a viable elite for elementalists out of pvp.
Also they will severely nerf key farming making many skins out of reach for most players.
I m not a key farmer myself, but i really liked to have the chance to get some at a reasonable cost on the TP.
Nothing else added to what i usually play (except the mini… only change that i like).

This game is easy… get over it. You can try to glam up the game with “speed runs” but at least be honest. It takes all of 24 hours to learn all the dungeons if you are a slow learner.
The Guild Wars 2 community just encompasses some of the worst MMO players (technically speaking, not regarding personality) I have seen to date. Ironic when Guild Wars 1 had some of the best I had seen.
People here since release can say the opposite.
Took a lot for the first parties (WWWWG or WWWGG also XD) to complete first dungeons.
Simply the AI is so bad you can just cheat it (legit) any way you want.
But you would be surprised how many players can t play ANY dungeon ith a different tactic from the youtube videos.
Something at least fractal players are good at instead.
That is why as you can read, many DnT players and similar PUG rather than only doing guild runs.
Read the topic on pugging… its really interesting.
Unless you can play everything with ANY pug party (measn 4 pugs), you can’t say this game is easy.
You know what is wrong?
That is easier and faster to wipe and repeat rather than saving a fight that didn’t go as planned.
That is because some tactics are extremely cheap (but legit …once again).

Expecially since i was playing fractal with 20 silver reward and cof1 farmers (10-20 G per hour) were crying they wanted easy fractal skins…..
I’m perfectly OK if they do the same for EVERY skin in the game.
But since i know what is a really balanced droprate, i’m advocating for it (see prefractured %… that is how i got most of my skins).
So as you see i’m not selfish.
P.S. FYI was about 18-19% at highest levels, opposing to a mere 5% we have now.
Was even higher when we had level 80 without the repeated agony check.

Reflect is a skill.
You are not using anyting in an unintended way.
The only unintended part (but totally legit) is stacking.
If they make projectile unreflectable they could start deleting PvE and turning it into SAB…..nothing else than 1 is allowed….
Favorite is arah due to it being where I learnt to be a better player and I have the most fun
Least favorite would be SE because I just absolutely hate dredge
I thougt arah was hard until i tried it with a warrior on a speedrun.
Did 9 paths in 3 days without any effort.

I am prepared can post 10 of them this evening and consider they are NOT bosses but trash mobs.
Obviously not everyone plays warriors…i have one and i know how easy it is (differnece between dying at 1st mistake or facetanking lupicus).

Yonarq is not selfish.
Since this game is about skins and rewards, we had a choice to give up thousands gold to play the most difficult pve content (arah is easier since its all about avoiding mechanics) with the worse reward.
Now the only things we got for it are few skins.
While you farming dungeons and living story had way more than US.
I am all ok if you want easy fractal skins.
Give me easy precursors, selfless potions, maudrey II and the new bug skins.
All of them will take less than fractal skins.
You can t say “my reward have to stay exclusive yours needs to be easier”.
Eles can’t do the same….
Only chance is using elite on 3 min CD, and the cast is long (i have no issues if the want to dlete even FGS 3 since its stupid anyway going into battle with an elite with the only purpose to flee).

Having only PvP balance have ruined the game enough.
Thieves mesmers and warriors are currently immortal
Zergs are 90% warriors and guardians (with few buffbot eles -.- that will be nerfed today).
Its becoming ridiculous.
P.S. an ele can t catch or stay in fight with neither a warrior or a thief… (see 90+% movement impairing condition reduction, or panic stealth button that cures everything break stun and teleport etc etc and stuff like that).
Once you are in fight you have to drop the fgs and then they start fleeing again…but you have 3 minutes CD
I don t agree with you:
Halo3 at max difficult settings don t react exactly to what you do simply because you can t reproduce the same behavior yourself.
It have been one of the best AI for long (in later chapters even the cooperative mode to defend bases was really fun and impressive)..
Also you don’t even have to cheat AI because you have game mechanics making the same fights Always fun.
In GW2 dungeons there is AI cheating OR frustration.
No midground.
Not to mention that since forever its Crystal clear that the number one gimmick if you don t have a decent AI is putting HP sponges with 1HITKO Attacks…
