the point here is that the above mentioned issues have been mentioned by me and many others way before pre#2 season patch not just by the -12days label this topic shows. none of them where adressed nor did any of my bug reports or constructive feedback on healthy play find open doors.

#1: Spiders! … JK i’m totally in love with spiders…

on the other hand there are some already existing issues that can turn out even naughtyer after next patch goes live.

  1. the druid pet problem. these little creatures are pain in the aß for non bunkerish builds already. there are many reasons for this. Pets got extremely hard hitting abilitys on short cooldown. these skills are enchanted by the own stat of the pets and decent quickness uptime. This would be ok if either the damage would not be spread over time so you can counter it with less than 2dodges…. or the cooldown would be higher so overtime resources used on pet skills would be less. Second reason would be that fighting druid is similar to fighting (x+ele)vs(you) 2v1 pressure wise. while you pressure the druid(cc+damage) or trade health the pet is constantly applying counterpressure to you, this means you rarely get on top of these situations. Considering the Druid specialisation’s sustain, the longer the fight the worse for you. Sadly burst damage on (even marauder) druids is rather tiny thanks to ‘protective ward’. Killing the pet is out of question. Pressure on pet is waste of resources becouse swapping resets the pets hp when put back to the battlefield and pets can be swapped any time when they are close to death.
  2. Scrapper hammer. this weapon(set) makes scrapper the broken shlt it is. Designing this weapon with this amount of survivalability alond with aoe hardCC and one of the biggest power coefficents is ridiculous. This design makes posible for scrappers to pressure someone without risking themselves to any harm. We have been introduced to a powercreep where a single weaponset got abilitys with reflect, evade and block ALL with bigger coefficent than (from behind) Backstab! Along this Engis where given even more sustain in Scrapper line. Scaling toughness, constant healing, even more protection uptime and shorter CC’D time. Scrapper is the perfect example of how broken defensice stats and boons hooked to traitlines are. Good thing is that the animation of the hammer skills are greately visible and therefore counterable! Too bad you have to waste a lot of your resources on countering constant passive damage from perma retaliation and ‘bunker down’. further facts: engi can’t be bursted down thanks to passive DlCK SHRINK and can stealth gyro when under long focus and reset whenever he wants(gyro coldown gonna be incresed thanks God).
  3. the handle of the boon spamming. as allways Anet goes with the ‘easy way’ again. Instead of adjusting boon sharing and boon durations over game(would take more than 5minutes ofc) they introduce a solution(lol sollution) that promotes skill spamming and pigeonholded ability slots. I’m talking about ‘corrupt boon’ change ofc. Not sure how this is going to turn out for high level necro viability but overall this is a lazy decision and i dislike it.
  4. Dragonhunter pressure. having eles or support mesmers help a lot against these beasts, sadly eles wont be the same apperently. DHs deal brutal damage with low cooldown abilitys and have decent amount of damage avoidance tools and good healing. The disappearance of most of the support bunker builds might lift this spec to a scary level due to it’s dps. On the other hand it might backfire and they collapse under the enlarged pressure w/o broken supports. No matter whitch extreme is going to happen it wont be patched till eternity.
  5. ‘Instant Reflex’ and overall new Accro traitline. Once more… after whining rivers about how badly passive procs effect the game, instead of removing or reworking some they introduce one more… i’m speechless. Regarding acro: this line should have been completely redesigned in another theme. it can never be balanced while daredev traitline exists and thief is steal based so trickery is must have. It either goind go be broken paired up with daredevil or going to be overshadowed by trickery.

Enough cheap talk. How do you intend to fight the decap abilities of a thief? Someone from the team constantly sitting on close? because short bow+shadowstep will traverse a lot of distance, it will be hard to counter that. I expect this to be a major issue in the upcoming season.

Boons are supposed to be strong effects that are only available in limited amounts.

Perma-prot, perma-swiftness, perma-vigor, perma-fury, etc. are the problem, and you can thank power-creep for that.

Having protection 40-60% of the time is balanced vs. having a lot of toughness, and opens the field for high skill gameplay in terms of timing for both offense and defense. As soon as you make it 80-100%, all that “balance” goes out the window.

But don’t worry, rather than just throttle those things back, we are going to start handing out boon-rips like candy and start of the arms-race that condis have been in vs. cleanse. That is how they want gw2 played: you just spam all your skills that all do a million things in a rotation, I’ll spam my stuff, and someone will die eventually depending on who has the stronger build/rotation/more CDs at the start of the fight.

Anet allmost allways choses the ‘easy way’ instead of the right one.
example: vigor nerf. engis + eles(in meta back that time) had enormous amount of vigor. u tossed a shoutbow in and no matter what everyone had permavigor in the party. instead of balancing the boon durations what does anet do? nerf the whole boon not considering it’s gonna hurt the squishy classes who cant spam boons 0-24 and rely on avoiding damage.

same is happening now with the controll of boon spamming. instead of balancing the durations and shares, they implement a horrible change that promotes skill spamming and does not solve the main problem.

So, your saying that all projectile attacks shouldn’t home when casted onto a target? Better nerf it to all classes then; warrior rifle/longbow, engi pistol/rifle, thief shortbow/pistol, etc.

most projectiles are not homing man. pls pay more attention to the game.
examples: warrior longbow/thief sb that you mentioned are definately NOT homing. an example for homing missiles would be necros deathshroud #1.

Before HoT pets were introduced, people always ignored pets since the only purpose they served before was CC and utility.

“Before HoT” the majority of rangers where using birds. those pets where already more worthy to dodge out and pay’d attention to ‘couse theyr damage way(is) higher than the actual ranger’s(ie: >backstab dmg f2s and sinple hits)

there is no full balance patch jet!
i hope it gonna include:
BBack f2: duration is half’d→ dmg is half + does not require 2 evades to negate
SScale Smoke assault: hope they handle this like Unrelenting Assault

even thisway they gonna be broken.
BBack’s projectiles are homing missles this mean you can’t range sidestep them, not to mention they hit 1k dmg on marauder specs.
SScale knockdown animation is too fast && is unblockable if i remember correct.

Passive procs need to go.

It’s not the stats (like celestial) that carry bad players and create a boring meta, it’s the impactful defensive passive procs that activate when an opponent successfully does something to you.
These traits are bad design and need to be removed or redesigned to make builds in PvP more skill based instead of playing themselves.
Here I will list all of these traits in the game.
Although many of them are currently weak and/or not used, they are just as bad design-wise as the ridiculously overpowered ones (like Soothing Bastion).

Elementalist: Burning Fire, Tempest Defense, Earth’s Embrace, Soothing Ice, Elemental Contingency, Final Shielding, Gale Song, Imbued Melodies, Elemental Bastion

Warrior: Defy Pain, Last Stand, Shrug It Off

Ranger: Enlargement, Shared Anguish, Protective Ward

Necromancer: Reaper’s Protection, Last Grasp

Guardian: Valorous Defense, Hunter’s Determination

Thief: Last Refuge, Pain Response, Hard to Catch, Don’t Stop, (and the passive evade on reaching 50% health that Anet wants to add next patch)

Engineer: Automated Medical Response, Autodefense Bomb Dispenser, Protection Injection, Transmute, Self-Regulating Defenses, Reactive Lenses

Mesmer: Desperate Decoy, Mirror of Anguish

Revenant: Pulsating Pestilence, Eye for an Eye, Versed in Stone, Soothing Bastion

Anet, for the sake of healthy and active PvP, please remove or rework all of these traits and refrain from making more of them in the future.

the bug is about: if you start attacking someone with a ranged attack and the player walks into ‘line of sight’ till the projectile is flying the attack still hits.

this sounds noothing but for more squishy classes who have to los to survive is crucial.

several times teleports fail due to character movement. this is coused by the game calculates if there is valid path to your destination in the moment you start the teleport ability and once more when it’s executed. the problem with this is that if your char moves to an unvalid teritory in that casttime the whole spell + resources are wasted. my suggestion on this is only calculate after you’ve began casting.

this bug is around since a while. It’s not game breaking but really anoying!!!
the thing is: something couses your character to be desplayed perpendicularly to any texture you walk on.
this makes kyteing and moving around really frustrating and hard sometimes.

first off: this nerf was needed since a long time!
in my openion the 7 sec vigor is is too low to take this sigil anymore. i’m aware that it’s effected by boon duration and now mesmers can share it with allys however it can be converted to condi or boon stripped so it still feels luckluster.
it would be a start if anet would boost 7sec to lets say 10 → endurance regen is delayed and halfed.

In addition to the changes above, we’ll also be adjusting the way that parties are scored in our matchmaking algorithm based on the overall division spread of a team’s makeup. It is important to us that anyone can play with their friends regardless of league standing, but in doing so, we also want to ensure that teams aren’t gaining an unfair advantage in match difficulty based on their rosters. An example of this would be two friends: one is in Diamond and the other is in Amber. For Season 2, these two players will still be able to team up and play together, but they’ll be placed into Diamond level matches based on the highest division player in the party. This means that forming a party with players in a higher division than you will always bring you up to their level for matchmaking and prediction, rather than adjust to compensate for party members at lower divisions. This specific change will go into effect in our next scheduled release (prior to the end of season 1).

Remove Stronghold from Ranked

Why on Earth would you want to remove the OPTION to do ranked Stronghold games?

If you’re solo queuing just uncheck the box for Stronghold. Suddenly the premades can’t “cheese” the game for easy wins anymore.

Because the two game modes share the same league system. Why should someone who cheeses stronghold be considered legendary?

IF ele overall healing outside water attunement would be lovered then diamond skin could be broken by many builds so it would not be that “op”
the problem with this trait is at the moment that eles can outheal GREAT amount of pressure ANY time they want. U know … SPAMM THE AURASSS!!!!→ the timed phys burst of lets say carryon builds are irrelevant compared to the constant healing effects.
conclusion: if you lover the ridiculous healing of eles (this should happen anyways) would lead to the situation where diamond skin could not be mentained 24/7

It’s simple.

League is based off MMR. You get daily or weekly tickets on login, with higher leagues having higher ticket gain rates.

Bye bye MMR abuse, bye bye Ruby hell, bye bye AFKing. Hello people logging in, and actually playing with people on your skill level. Wins all round, except for PvE’rs. They already have their shinies.

Even better if MMR becomes per-character with the highest overall MMR defining your regular reward.

+1. it’s time to bring this suggestion up again, however noothing is going to happen, becouse Anet loves it’s precious work on pip system to much so it newer going to get dropped. just like stronghold or new borderlands or any other utter failure they made.

In Clerics it heals to full, in Cele its about a 10-14k heal(?). Cant get the exact numbers because I cant be kitten d to play right now.

Expect a fix next patch, Druid/Ranger rarely keeps beneficial bugs for long.

Up to 7/8 if I remember right, you can use it to blast 25 might alone too

The only reason D2 is so high is the occasional random streamer that picked up the game to play. Otherwise, it’s mainly RyuQuezacotl, a D2 speed runner. His stream is awesome (totally not promoting his channel on an irrelevant game……. heheh…….. heh….).

should i start streaming again or what? srsly the high pop of streaming is due to recent ladder reset thats true.

Oh no don’t worry druids start popping everywhere.

11-12k pet damage while standing still with a stick up your kitten throwing full heals every now and then does that to people.

Another brilliant design by ArenaNet™.

druid are the strongest 1v1 class by far, but they fall off pretty heavily the bigger the teamfights are, because of various reasons…

i’ve gone back to Diablo 2 (last Patch 1.13c was released on 23 March 2010)
i’d say there are many questionable setups, but it’s the heaven of balance compared to gw2
also i’m having more fun on a game released in 2000 than on gw2! :’) this should indicate something imo!

it’s setup dependent.
if opponent got necros, eles and no gua thief can carry hard.
if opponent has no necro but got plenty scrappers, druids or guas you better reroll to something else.

For next season they clearly, and I mean 100% crystal, need to remove mmr from the matchmaking, have a soloq, or completely redo matchmaking so it doesn’t match based on the 50% win ratio (which is probably too hard). The interaction between divisions and mmr matchmaking with the mixing of premades and soloq is just completely kittened up at this point.
