i’m a horrible revenant. i got 0 matches on it ~10 rounds of 1v1 and some vale guardian kills (Kappa). still meenaged to kill my expert revenant mate several times gue to how broken and skilless this kitten is.

I’d even Revert the unblockable effect. This skill is over decent. Paired up with steal shadowstep etc. It becomes an instant heard cc.
Yes GW2 has several low cd skills that could be called “spam able” but they are low impact that add up in combination with each other. Skills like search and reduce, chilled to the bone, slick shoes, wash the pain away are all very high impact skills that can turn the tide of the fight.
Stuff like corrupt boon, inpacting disruption, gunflame, auraspam or Precision strike got low inpact indeed
working on the high dependency of landed steals due to mandatory trickery and mug would indeed allow more diversity.
I would not recomment to do so in the near future though, the pryority should be on this:

I dont say that Rev is balanced in general. I just say that its not allways a good idea to ask for nerfs. What is the point in bringing Rev down to a Warriors power? What will happen to the Meta? You can nerf Rev down. So maybe thiefs will take the spot. Then you have no Heavy Class that is good in higher game.
I think that the sustain from a full DPS Rev is to high. But the Damage can be countered.
a clacc with access to defensive boons with this variety and the endless count of evades wont ever get to warrior level.
this specific skill is beyond bad design and has to be changed.

After of a whole month of playing unranked w/o any complaynment about the matchmaking you grab the neck of the new competitive system any try to choke it to death in the first week.
Have you tryed to play unranked this season or you are just going to fail-tryhard a bit more and complayn about not being ranked up way faster than exponentially better players than you on the league system?! This mindset smells of avidity.
Coming up with ‘no more fun’, ‘loosing too much i quit’, ‘i was ruby last season’, ‘there is no more match balance’ are failed and/or irrelevant arguments, used by many forumers. Players who use these fail to see that the gamemode they used for nearly a month is still there, ready to use w/o harmful modifications for theyr game experience (fun factor not touched).
The before grind based sytems are finally uprooted and the MM has become competition focused. This means things have changed and ppl getting mediocre rankings last seson, should reconsider if they where worthy for theyr medals.
Sticking to ranked till you end up with a 10+ losing streak is completely (and i use this word seriously) stupid. People doing this should think about if playing the most competitive part of the game, in the season starting time which is obviously the hardest, for fun and failing so humiliatingly is worth, when you could hopp into the usual unrankeds and have actual FUN you came for.
For the people who want to overanxious massive tryhard regardless what i say w/o any mechanical skills, nor being master at a profession at the start of a competitive season i wish good luck and a strokeless next week, ’couse you gonna have close moments.

UC, Physical Supremacy and Endurance Thief paired up are better than the whole acro line all together.
Too bad devs had zero creativity in designing Dare Devil but butchering acro in last juni, then reselling a version of the previous one.

Little does this matter. To answer you, i play necro, ele but mainly thief. This trait being highly flawed by promoting dependency on predicting tremendous amount of instants being casted and carrying terrible players wont change no matter what you play. And that’s what i’m rallying against my good Sir!
Flanking strike has an activation time of 1/2 second and an evade duration of 1/2 second as far as i know.
What you experienced happens maybe 1 out of 100 times. He just got lucky or predicted really well what you are going to do.
Its like interupting the engie turret heal. Happens!

I do more damage with shadowstrike then with headshot
re read my post && watch video again. HS is ~instant, shadow shot is evadeable.
If I am on P/P I would much rather use an Unload then a headshot as I will do far more damage. the damage is not tied to an interrupt proc.

Your speaking out of both sides of your mouth defending a system that’s supposed to have skill as the sole determinate yet makes it faster for pvp players with the highest mmr from a terribly flawed last season to climb faster. why would i move along a badly designed addition that ruins the skill factor or the game? Also it’s ZERO fun to me to fight ppl running this. Actually it’s more fun to fight perplex condi engis in wvw than dueling a d/p running this aids.

the first part of the flanking strike ability is an evade. As you see here a randomly timed interrupt can still cancel it regardless, making you vulnerable for the next second + proccing impacting disruption. basicly if this happens duel is lost.
no idea if this happens due to server lag or it’s a bug but needs to look at.

Right now I maybe have 1 win per 3-5 matches.
It’s not fun to non-stop lose…
It’s not fun to play unfair matches if you had 55% win ratio in previous season.
It’s not fun to hear that you have to keep losing until your mmr or matchmaking will be balanced.Game has no point of playing or buying if it don’t give any type of fun or satisfaction for your effort.
For now as casual i can say that playing ranked is waste of time and a lot players will say the same. I love pvp but many ppl will just quit.

Back in time when i started pvp i havnt even touched ranked for a long time. i was thinking like: hmm ranked.. ranked means competition in every game and obviously i can feel i’m a beginner so lets get better and mby then i can show off some ranks later. Imo i’ve hit the 1k unrankeds way before i even started to think about ranked.
The thing is that the newly implemented MM algorythm NO LONGER supports grinding based progression like the previous ones. This means that progression is enchanced by the skill level of an individual and not the bare will to progress. League system was implemented to indicate one’s mad haxor PvP skills with a tiny icon next to his/her name so everyone can see how big his E-PENlS is. Now, becouse the smurfing and abusing has been (mostly)fixed and the league is skill based, a mediocre random player can no longer have the same E-PENlS icon as an ESL player
at least not as fast.
To get to the point. If someone is enduring a humilating 15lose streak or barely reaches 20% winning in this season should ask himself: “Am I prepared to play the most competitive part of the game? maybe not. Maybe wanting to be faster ranked up than way better players than me is a bit eager behaviour… Mby i should go practice a bit more so i can later suprise everyone with how good i am!”
for the two weeks leading up to ranked season, allow players to compete for placement in the actual league season, being placed in amber, emerald, or sapphire. This would prevent the majority of early-season stompings that happened this year, and it gives competitive pvpers something to do instead of hotjoins or unranked.
This would accomplish nothing, it would basically just be extending the season by two weeks.

Predicating more damage off a successful interrupt is much more a limitation on spam than is integrating that damage into the shot itself.

Either way you haven’t got the slightest idea what i’m talking about or you are carryed by the trait and are defending it.
Impacting disruption just takes 50% of the skill from before skill based duels. This trait proccing hits more than shadow shot or frontStab critting and has no icd. Before you had to consider if you want to use initiative on interrupting something and have waited for that particular animation. now you just try to interrupt anything you can find with steal, venom or a nearly instant spammable ability to deal more damage than any of your actual wapon skills and completely fuxkc up your opponent’s rotation. interrupting skills and combos where already giving an advantage before HoT if you knew when and what to rupt. now you just HS into someone’s autohit and laugh on the 3k proc…..NOW thell me this is good design.
it happens sometimes. it could be called ‘ok its not that big of a deal’ but till you fix imparing disruption this buggy behaviour is going to give me a stroke all the time.

What abot removing instapoc’s from the game?
Game would be much healthyer and i wouldnt getting a stroke every half an hour from random kiddos with zero mechanical skills winning matchups due to instant cc and invuln procks.
hint: you could start with reworking nightmare runes, eye for an eye, enduring recovery and Self-Regulating Defenses.
Then, after you realise that this change was good and healthy you could follow with the rest like chill of death, panic strike, Defy pain, heavy light, last refuge, Desperate Decoy, and who knows what.
PS: for the ppl who going to cry a river about XYZ class needs that passive to succeed: find another path than relying on passive cheese kkthx.
The problem is: Scrapper and Herald are both a mess in terms of what should be changed and what is okay. I’m not sure there is a “simple” answer to them, which is why I think they haven’t been touched yet.

Recovery Matrix: reworked. posibly to an offensive trait.
Acid Bomb: no more unblockable
Shock Shield: Damage lowered by 60%
Elixir B: replace retal with 2sec of resistance(~3 with boon runes. opens more place vs condi builds to clense)
Reve:
Eye for an Eye: reworked. posibly not to another passsive PROC.
Precision strike: cooldown 8 sec.
Enduring recovery: reworked. posibly not to another passsive PROC. no longer gives endurrance.
remove unblockabrle effect from teleport.

i mean i agree with you. fully. i did not ask for a slughterfest on low players really. dont missunderstand me. this is just the best ANet could offer in terms of competitive ladder system. they could have given people with higher season#1 ranks or MMR or no matter what a headstart to make the first 2-3 days lest harsh or literally anything that smooths the gap between the playerbase(didnt meant to offend anyone lol):

You’re all missing my point. I will be the first to admit that it was a good move and I plain missed it. I’m not running a full zerker build, I have 2450 armor which isn’t max but it isn’t paper either. My point is once a week a thief will come in and moan about how op necros are. When you’re hitting for 14k with a single hit you have nothing to complain about.
hmm so that thief had 25 stacks of might 25 bloodlust 10%dmg food&&utility and full zerker running d/d. You tell me you havnt seen him comming and you facetanked a backstab AND a c&d. reasonable.
Edit: you could have killd him with 1skill + deadly chill proc.

nah. if u run both thats completely fine, you just dropp the most broken trait of thief for it.
if you are playing s/d both are mandatory. Diversity starts when you run smth like d/p or s/p.
you can use Rune of the Traveler for 25% movement speed. Kinda sux but its still a way for having both bound and %speed
do NOT do this.
Edit: if u decide to run bound you should run scholar or some other burst amulet.
try to port combo someone or venom jump someone or invis venom port jump someone(lol) and you gonna understand why ppl hate staff.
if you are running Impacting Disruption there is less need to bound ’couse your damage will be high enough. the swiftness on dash and the condi clense are needed almost every game. bound makes you more vulnerable for example vs druids and thieves becouse of theyr immob procks, vs necros becouse of chill etc….
if you are really worried about a good thief or mesmer rupting your stealth combo all the time you can take bound but mehh….
PS: you should take Impacting Disruption with any build with offhand pistol. It’s just broken…
