PvE & WvW being balanced around sPvP.
A lot of nerfs well good for sPvP are just uncalled for and not needed in PvE & WvW.
One basic rule is if you find both your pets dieing fast and ending up on cooldown, switch to ranged pets…they may well survive longer…another alternative is the bear/drakes who will last longer in melee.
Also, guard utility skill works best with a flying pet.
Pets with F2 skills that effect allies are good whenever you are in a group or around loads of other players WvW for example…
I have had a level 80 Ranger since month1 of the game and YES they are a BAD main…
They underperform in WvW, PvE dungeons, fractals, bosses and anywhere you have to be precise where you stand. Its basically endgame/harder content they are bad at…mainly because your pet ends up dead and on permanent cooldown or your pet goes to the wrong place/is hard to control.
Rangers can seriously fool the beginning player because they are great/easy street in open world PvE, which is mainly where you level. Also, they are good in sPvP because your pet can stay alive longer (other players damage is balanced) and the only enemies are opposition players so your pet can’t go wrong in who to attack. Plus Rangers can ‘bunker’ exceptionally well. But the ‘bunker’ mechanic is by and large only good in sPvP…
Its DEVESTATING in WvW, far, far, far worse then Mesmer confusion ever was and that was nerfed…
Warriors are getting 25 stacks of confusion and maintaining it no problem…
Will 100% certain get nerfed…
Last time I looked a set cost 20g…I wonder if people will get enough ‘use’ out of it to be worthwhile before its nerfed?
If I mained a Mesmer I would be RAGING now after there confusion was nerfed a few months back, when it was no were near as bad as this…

Anet are undisputed no. 1 when it comes to nerfing…
Anet seem to be overlooking/ignoring WvW lately…
They seem to think we are happy to get another passive skill once a month and this is enough for us to keep playing/interested…90% of players can’t even make use of the new passive skill because they are still maxing out there 1st or 2nd one…so the new passive skill is pointless…
Need to give WvW some ‘love’ in the next few months or the number of people playing WvW will plummet…
If out and out dps is the only way…
Why doing the pavilion events as my mage do, I after spend loads of time in water attunement to keep the zerg alive? As soon as I stop being in water attunement, I end up surrounded by 20-30, no doubt zerkers crying to be rezzed…
They have annoyed me so much that I have started, when the boss is on 10% health, letting them all die and not rezzing one of them, I am hoping they get the message…
Also, in sPvP, why does my non-zerker Guardian hardly ever die and can still take out 2-3 (probably zerkers) with ease…indeed in sPvP ‘tanky’ bunkers = RULEZ…

I thought I saw/read something that this would be a baseline and they’d revisit it when they see who’s running what. I could be wrong though, because I’m too lazy to look for it.

Yes, you are correct this is exactly what they have said…
Its still very lazy to start 80% of dungeons at 1g thou…
Just a hour or less looking at the group finder site for dungeons would have given them a good idea on the gold amount for each dungeon…
Also, the 1.5g for AC was a obvious ploy of trying to lure players back to it after putting off 80% of the players who were running it by there failed revamp a few months ago.
Anet do listen to there playerbase and often where possible give them what they want but also they are completely stubborn in that if they introduce something that completely fails such as the AC dungeon revamp there is not a chance of them ever reverting it back to how it was. They would prefer to lose players rather than change something back to how it was, I suspect they don’t want to hurt the ‘feelings’ of which ever members of staff did the changes…
You know what I think Anet do?
I think over the entire game they have a fixed limit of rewards they want players to be able to achieve, this is to protect the games economy which in turn protects gem sales…
So what they do every so often is mix up the rewards, so it seems the game is more rewarding but what they actually do is nerf rewards somewhere else to pay for better rewards elsewhere…
So this latest patch gives better rewards for champions for example but its dungeon runners who pay for it…and so on…
I don’t think its a accident that Anet have a economist on the payroll whose job it is to manage the economy…
Are the champion drops a permanent addition to the game?
So why bother buying off the TP?
Just farm them at your leisure or wait till price hits the floor…
WvW, LS and anything that rewards a laurel…

Yes, its very poor…80% of dungeon paths are 1g, 10% 1.5g and 3 paths of Arah are 3g.
Overall, when you do the math, dungeons have had a gold nerf haven’t they?
So, its actually less worthwhile doing dungeons now then before when you factor time it takes to do them and are you restricted to each path 1/day?
Its been totally NERFED now, you can’t get even near a gold per hour, not worth doing at all…
Just blues/greens + 6s and rubbish gauntlet tickets…

This is silly, it encourages / rewards players who do not take part…
The remaining representation token should be sellable for double what the unused support tokens are sellable for, so participation is encouraged not discouraged…
If it remains as it is in future all players are just going to hoard tokens expecting a payoff at the end of the event…Anet have shot themselves in the foot…

So 16m votes, means the average votes cast was 32…
The average forum user will be much higher than that however, cause on average they play way more than average…

The Guardian was awesome at soloing (was easily soloing veterans 3 – 4 levels above my own), but slow as hell.
What do you mean by slow?
Slow to kill opponents or slow moving around?
Guardians have access to loads of swiftness…so there not slow at moving around…
Warriors kill faster and are more durable then the thief…
OP: I am voting Kiel because I am generally interested in Thaumanova. I don’t give a rat’s hoo-hah about Abaddon. I know what I am voting for. Happy?

Anet have boosted loot dropped by champions at least twice before and everyone still thinks champions drop rubbish loot…
So, don’t get too excited by this…the chances are after patch everyone is massively disappointed by champion drops…
I like dailies personally, you can complete them often by just playing the game without even trying to get them…
I don’t think there is anything wrong with them at all…
I have often missed some and it doesn’t bother me at all…
Its only a ‘job’ if you get into that mindset and think that way…

1. Stop balancing the entire game around sPvP. A lot of nerfs applied to PvE & WvW were not needed…they could have just applied to sPvP only.
2. Start working on a traditional expansion, if Anet want to continue on the LS fine, but really, work on a standard expansion as well.
3. If Anet have a way of telling how often certain skills/traits are used by players, then start to give minor boosts/change the skills/traits that are least used. Anet seem to be making changes to the meta on a monthly basis, so they can do it then.
I am having a no.4…
4. More WvW content/updates. Well the passive skills are welcome, Anet are getting into a rut in WvW of just giving 1 new passive skill a month and not doing anything else WvW related. Time to brainstorm abit more on WvW to keep it interesting…

I play a lot of other games hardcore so yes I am hard to impress…would love a true hardcore server in GW2 but never going to happen…

The new update is looking AWESOME with new solo queue, better loot from champions, better reward system for dungeons, wallet to hold all currencies and some harder solo content, that players themselves can adjust to make even harder.

GW2 is really a great game…
There is still no way I can duel casually without purchasing gems to buy an arena
So why don’t you hire a arena? Or form/look for a duelling guild to share the cost?

I would like to see this in the future as well…
Just make it so you have 2 picks of each tier, instead of 1 now and put the 5/15/25 traits in the respective tiers.

Apparently, traits are being worked on in the next few months or so…the devs have already said so…
Ele’s sure do after play the keyboard fast constantly moving through the attunements…
Its a real nightmare when you get skill lag and can’t switch attunements or do any other skill than 1…
Skills as a means of progression is better than what we have now which is ZERO progression.
You are still very limited with just 3 utility, 1 healing and 1 elite skills however. Will be interesting if we are having new weapon types with all new skills, however.
On traits I hope they get rid of or merge all the useless ones that exist now, especially the ones that you have no choice to have if you invest 30 points in a line…
