I wish NCSoft could legally negotiate with the copyright holders of a vast library of animations so they could then incorporate them into this game. The world lost a treasure when CoH was shut down.
It’s sad to see a good dev leave. It’s disheartening to know he was one of the champions of rangers. Next big patch will show the true colors of what happens there. If rangers get nerfed into oblivion, it’ll be clear just how much he was on our side.
How about a more detailed TP search function ?
The game has been out for a year… and we still can’t even do something as simple as search or sort by armor type – really now?
^This!^ omg I never really think about that until I’m wanting to buy new armor. Sifting past all the Heavy/Light sets with the same stats is just a pure annoyance.
There are only two reasons I can think of that they haven’t done this glaringly obvious step:
1) They profit too much from accidental purchases
2) They aren’t smart enough to do it
With what I’ve seen this past year, I’m betting on #1
If crafting from 400 to 500 involves making exotics, I can see the cost of certain materials going through the roof for a while. Good luck to you if you ever planned on buying your legendary materials.
Side trivia: Using the following rates of..
1s 10c per repair
and
$0.55US per gold (via gw2spidy as of today)
According to the number given by the GW2 article, Risen Thralls have been responsible for 1.24million dollars (US) worth of gold being removed from the GW2 economy over the past year.
Must be one of those things they added to the game to make it more challenging.
Last time they did something big that everyone disliked (changing the pew pew sound effect on Predator that everyone loved) there was a small revolt and they reverted it.
I don’t like Meteorologicus too much, but I agree that with stuff that takes this long to craft, they shouldn’t make changes that could annoy the players that took so much effort on crafting it.
Thanks. I personally LOVE Meteorlogicus. I NEVER thought I’d make a legendary in this game. I didn’t even have a character that could use a scepter effectively. In fact, there wasn’t one.
I then theory-crafted the hell out of Elementalists to see if Scepter could be a viable mainhand weapon, and it appeared that it could be. Then I leveled an Elementalist for the sole purpose of wielding Meteorlogicus.
And now Anet is making it purple.
If Arenanet follows through with this change, it should be taken to heart by everyone who wants to buy or craft a legendary, that Anet doesn’t care about the money, time, and effort you put into anything in this game, they are going to change it to however they see it making them money.
Best to worse for me…
Necro
Ranger (inspite of all their bugs and imbalance)
Warrior
Thief
Guardian
Engineer
Elementalist
Engineer
Mesmer
Easiest way to determine what Anet will do is to look at the impact a possible change would have on gold/gems/money. Will changing their ability to be transmuted increase or decrease the amount of gold spent on legendaries and their components? If the answer is “decrease” you can bet your gold that they won’t do it.
OP: off topic, but nice outfit! Very different for a Charr. I like.
I wanted to finish my balloon achievement, I had to visit like 2 more. But as always, they were closed and I had to kill a nearby champion.
It would be okay if there were people around to help me. But there was no one. Not a single person. On the entire map. I circled around, used chat and nothing.
Since I bought an MMO, I want to encounter others as well. Not only in Lion’s Arch and cof p1. The game is said to be casual, and you have to enjoy the little things, the exploration and stuff which I DO.
But doing it all alone. Events (group ones especially) are hard to complete and it just feels empty. Please come up with an idea to change this situation. So many wonderful maps created (best one so far in any mmo I’ve played), so why not use them? Why not enjoy them?
So I would like to ask for ideas on how to make the maps more populated.
My one would be the dailys: it should be more flexible. Like you have the Krytan killer, not it should reflect your lvl and become either Kessex/Gendarran/queensdale killer.
Or joint servers on less populated maps.
Or less waypoints.
Or more rewards for completing ordinary events.
Or just make events easier for solo.
Anything just not this empiness.
Any thoughts?
It’s pretty much empty if you don’t play the Living Story content, and since they release that stuff every two weeks with no break in between, you’re kinda out of luck if you can’t solo the champs or find some friends to help you with it. Scarlet will be old-hat in a short bit, but the new SAB stuff will be out, at which point even LA will seem empty depending on what server you are on.
Even if your concurrency figures are accurate (and I question those), you have no idea how many people play the game. Concurrency just means who’s online at the moment, not everyone who’s playing.
A game that has a conccurency of 300,000 probably has over a million players, because the odds of even half of them all logging in at the same time is pretty small. People live in different countries, different time zones, have different play schedules. Some of the guys in my guild who play only play a couple of times a week. Some are only on at odd hours.
Saying that less that 500k people play this game is unprovable.
In fact, you have no idea how many people are playing.
I think it’s a good indication that there are problems with concurrency and active accounts in that ArenaNet isn’t parading the numbers around like they do with other statistics. They are as arrogant as a pageant bird when it comes to strutting their number of copies sold, etc., but they are quite hushed up on how many people actively play the game. I would challenge Arenanet to release the concurrency numbers in an official release, but I think we all know why that won’t happen.
PSA: Put your Legendary weapons on the character you want them on before this patch hits.
They aren’t allowing you to swap around stats to be nice, they are doing it so you can no longer transmute Legendaries and move them between characters.
THIS^^^^^
I can’t imagine that ArenaNet would plan to make legendaries account bound and then not announce it ahead of time in order to build excitement for the whole patch. if Anet does kill the transmute ability of legendaries, I think it is a clear sign of just how much money they make off of TP tax and gem purchases related to legendaries. That in itself is cause for great caution with this company.
I think the Aetherblade issue in the invasions shows an imbalance on Arenanets side that they simply are trying to avoid fixing, perhaps because it is too much time/work. From the various LS events recently, it seems that the loot table info is tied directly to the group of mobs. Aetherblades are their own group of mobs, from bottom guy to top champion and they appear to have their own loot drop table, while Twisted machines have their own group and table. Same for the Molten alliance and steam creatures, and every other group in Tyria.
The problem is that the loot tables are imbalanced, and so when the LS team goes and selects groups of mobs to present the challenge in a dynamic event, you wind up with what we have now, where one group is far more profitable than another. The results at that point are predictable.
IF I’m anywhere close to correct about this, Arenanet has balance issues that need to be resolved before this sort of thing is going to go away. The loot tables can be different for drop types (certain lodestones, certain exotics, etc.), but they need to be leveled out in quality and value, otherwise you’re going to continue seeing large groups prioritizing specific mob types while ignoring others, even if it fails the event.
Being social doesn’t mean making friends.
Do you say “hello, good morning” to the bus driver or just speak out the destination? That difference is key here. Instead of “ty” you can say “thanks mate”, not that it will take whole lotta extra second out of your gaming time.
To use a current example, a LOT can happen in an extra second when you are in the middle of 20 to 30 Aetherblades, some of which are champions.
I rez people without the expectation of being thanked at all. Many people do so anyway, and I find “ty” to be appropriate considering the pace of the situation. If I rez someone after a battle, or if I rez someone I come across that’s dead or downed for whatever reason, they will often type out the full words, but to expect people to take the time to write a full response during a battle is self centered. On top of that there are several things that can happen to add to that second of time. Switching channels, is one. Proper spelling is another (my guess is that if people were commonly writing “Thnaks”, you’d be complaining about how they don’t take the time to spell properly either). This is a video game on the anonymous internet, perhaps try and appreciate that people make any effort at all to show their appreciation. If they don’t thank you, don’t assume they are being kittens about it either, because the message suppression system is being a kitten with chat in the large events.
Could also be that so many times when people say something in map, the replies they get usually start with things like “your mom…”
I expect that the “reveal” will not be much more than confirmation of things we already knew were in the works. Ascended gear related stuff, etc.
Or new blingy gem-store stuff (this would not surprise me at all as being qualified as a “reveal” by Anet management)
Probably around 15 developers, and 285 employees dedicated exclusively to monetization.
I’ve had messages suppressed when typing “ty” a good 10 minutes apart (hey, I get downed a lot).
If I’d typed “ty” twice in a row within a minute, I could understand it, but 10minutes apart? The suppression is pathetic.
Also: Why the kitten is the Plural Form of Staff …. being filtered on this stupid Forum?
Stakitten

Because the 3 letters it censors are a common abreviation of “for * sake”
Also, isn’t the plural actually Staves?
I don’t really understand why the mats are account bound but the item isn’t.
I agree that they should be account bound.
Would be awful getting a legendary for your “main” character and later finding out you end up playing a different one instead most of the time and that legendary is going to waste.
Legendaries are soul-bound for one simple reason: it forces players to pay a minimum of 100gold straight up in order to get another one. That’s a month’s fee cash-wise if you were to buy gems.
It’s all about the money people, no other reason.
Having never played GW1, I don’t have any sort of reference to judge the weapons by, but I said “to heck with hit” in regards to getting a dumb drop, I just bought the Longbow skin outright. Absolutely the best, in my opinion, longbow skin in the game, and it fits perfectly with my Ranger, color and all.
The rest of the skins I’m somewhat indifferent to, they are nice, but the longbow is “that one weapon” that just fits with my main.
No, I didn’t change her outfit colors to fit the weapon, it’s just, in my opinion, a perfect match. Even the birds are great because I use birds as my primary pets.
Imagine if you’ve never played a single mmorpg in your entire life. Now imagine buying GW2 and logging in for the first time. You’re going to be extremely confused and turned-around when it comes to certain aspects of this game. You shouldn’t have to google crap for answers, it makes you lose that “immersive” feeling, if GW2 can even give that to you in the first place. I know I don’t want to be minimizing my game every 5 minutes when I have a question. Sometimes it’s just simpler to ask questions in guild chat or listen to a tutorial.
I remember quite clearly the first MMO I ever played. Vanguard, Saga of Heroes. I thank the day a friend of mine decades ago got me into playing table top D&D, because I at least had some inclination of what hit points were and things like that, but to be honest, if you’re starting from the ground floor, GW2 is one of the best places to start. You don’t have the confusion of having 10 to 20 different weapon skills, buffs, debuffs, food items, etc. that you have to organize onto one bar (because let’s face it, not many MMO’s are right up front about “this is how you make another toolbar”).
With the skills and such limited to 5 skills and 5 utilities, there’s no messing with where they go, or arranging UI elements. As a long time gamer, I hate the static nature of the GW2 UI, but for beginners it is a great start because it’s extra stuff they don’t have to learn right off the bat.
The lack of information, in some ways, is good. Yes, there could be some stuff in the starter zone where they teach you the importance of dodging, and they could be a bit more elaborate with the tool-tips in game such as when you get a utility slot for the first time (have extensive in game info in the hints window that they can “read further” when the hint pops up), but as much as I complain about a number of things in GW2, I can’t really think of a better game for someone brand new to MMOs.
The most extensive “how to” in-game training I’ve seen in the limited number of games I’ve played has been Eve Online. Yes, it would be great if GW2 had something similar to career path agents like Eve has, only you could have them be “class path trainers” or something, but that is a huge undertaking in itself to create what would essentially be an entire zone just for teaching people how to play when at the same time they want to encourage interaction between players.
In reality, the community could do with a kitten-ton less “L2P Noob!” and a lot more “Hey, here’s how it’s done”. That would solve a lot of these issues while not breaking immersion.
Inspite of all the kittening I do about the crafting process, I have actually been working on mine.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to build, but the new Zodiac Longbow skin is absolute perfection for my main (Ranger, uses birds primarily, and the blue in her outfit matches the bow), so Kudzu is out. As a result I’m going for The Dreamer, mostly because it’s so over-the-top it makes me smile when I see people using it.
That being said, I now have:
The gift of mastery
100 icy runestones (thanks Crown Pavillion!)
The gift of Wood
68 Mystic clovers
100 Opal Orbs
100 Chrysocola Orbs
And again, thanks to the Crown Pavillion, I hit 250 on my first T6 mat (vicous claws)
Still sitting at around 40 to 50 of the other T6 mats, and no-one on my server seems to run TA anymore, so the gift of thorns is going to take a while.
Quite a long way to go. Not going to gamble for the precursor, so that’s likely my final purchase.
I’ll get there some day.
Update: 250 Crystalline dust now, and got my Mystic Clovers too after a brutal fight with Zomorros.
(edited by Neural.1824)
1. Go to the TP
2. Check the price of item you have (mithril, silk, etc.)
3. Check the price of dust.
4. Check the price of item you want.
5. Multiply price from 2 above by 250.
6. Multiply price from 3 above by 5.
7. Add 5 & 6 above together.
8. Multiply price from 4 above by 17
9. If 7 is greater than 8, do not convert. If 8 is greater than 7, convert. You can put together a quick spreadsheet that uses the method above in formula form so that you only need to do steps 1-4 each time and the math will be done for you.
Oh god, you said the ‘s’ word. LOL.
I’m beginning to think that Excel and other similar spreadsheet software programs are starting to see more use in MMO’s than business.
If it’s something that you enjoy though, then do it. It’s a game after all. Have fun
This is why I harvest. I quite enjoy exploring the world and gathering everything myself.
Yes, but are you harvesting to build a legendary weapon? And, no offense, but do Anet employees have the luxury of no Diminishing Returns and higher drop rates? I’m not pulling numbers out of the air when it comes to the amount, or lack of, T6 mats that drop when trying to gather materials under the iron fist of DR.
I’ve said it before, and I’ve detailed it on my blog. Legendaries need to take a long time to make, but they need a defined path as well, including some time gating. It could be argued that Diminishing Returns is time gating, but combined with several other issues involved, it’s over the top. Again, in your spare time when you get the chance to explore and harvest stuff, how often do you get an Opal orb? You need 100 of them, and 100 Chrysocola orbs to craft something like The Dreamer, and they don’t drop from nearly as many sources as things like Crystalline Dust.
They need some UBER high end area (like Fissure of Woe or Underworld) where the % drop for Precursors is x10 (or maybe x100) higher…they are Account Bound and that’s the only way to get them.
I think re-organizing the account-bound status on many of the legendary materials, plus the weapons themselves would go far in freeing up Anet to change loot drops.
As with many of the seemingly insane things they do, I suspect it’s all about money. Anet seems obsessed with the economy right down to the copper.
More titles would be nice. Unless the original programmers really did something silly, I would think it would be relatively simple to add them. It’s not like they require new models or graphics.
I don’t know that they should be any easier to earn, but more options would be welcomed. I’d like to have more crafting related titles, especially since they are talking about increasing the top end on crafting levels.
While there may be a seemingly limited amount of tutorials in game on things, the wiki and youtube contain some of the most extensive amounts of data I’ve come across on an MMO.
I agree that there seems to be a lot missing, and perhaps the wiki could be much more elaborate, but that’s up to the players (if I recall the wiki is written by players, not the devs).
Youtube has a lot of great information as well, though perhaps a lot of it is geared towards the hardcore playerbase. Many videos do assume you know the basics.
@OP directly: Perhaps this is an opportunity
I find it interesting that an account bound item like that can be made tradeable via stacking. That sounds unintended on Anets part. Be careful using that method.
If you kill champions for their loot (whether casually or farming), is it because….
A) You want gold or materials because you are after a legendary
B) you want gold for non-legendary reasons
C) you are after exotic skins, but you want to use them, not sell them.
D) you are after materials
E) other (please comment)
Mostly I’m interested in how many are after champion loot due to A, but I suspect a lot of people are after the skins as well.
Still trying to picture exactly how an Elementalist would use a rifle.
Unless… shooting elementally powered spheres of energy that have various results. That’s 20 brand new skills they could toy around with. Would love to see an air skill with the rifle that is basically ball lightning that bounces between foes causing damage and stunning.
They shouldn’t be removed. They are useful. Anet should, however, allow users to show their support for specific commanders, and to affiliate themselves with a specific commander while said commander has his tag active.
For example, if Smooth Penguin was a commander and I agreed with his/her methods of leading, I would be able to somehow upvote their leadership abilities by adding my name to the list of supporters. Alternatively, if Penguin started to lose favor, I could remove my support (not picking on you Penguin, just an example).
Also being able to team up with a commander in WvW would be helpful. Give commanders different tag colors. This would allow for larger groups to follow orders from a commander based on their tag color, allowing for multiple groups. Sure, you can mouse-over a commanders tag now, but with two or three on the map, it’s much faster to just look for the green tag and go to it. (To work properly, this would need to be invisible to opposing servers in WvW, and would add some difficulty for spies in communicating to the enemy).
The fact that anyone with plastic can go and buy a commander tag automatically defeats the purpose of it. I could go and buy a commander tag, but everyone knows pretty kitten well I’d be a horrific leader, if not the worst ever. Being able to show support for your commander would give a small amount of viability to the persons trustworthyness (even though this could on some levels be gamed). Having multiple colors for tags would allow for WvW and PvE groups to split up and work more effectively.
tl;dr: they shouldn’t be removed, but improved
But if you weren’t so anxious to prove me wrong,…
…So far, in an attempt to prove your point, you’ve managed to seem unreasonable and attack what I’m saying…trying to make it about me. Maybe you should read the posts by other people like me, and reconsider your response.
Just imagine how he’d act if dueling were to be implemented. He’s a perfect example of why it shouldn’t be put in.
Excuse me? You don’t know how I play, or pretty much anything about me. Try adding something constructive to the conversation before taking shots at me, acting like you know something you don’t.
No-one needs to know you. Your acidic commentary and attitude in this thread speak volumes about you.
each loadstone drops off there respectebale mobs go kill them enough.
same with T6 mats,
if you have problems with ectos then go do fractals, dungoens or dragons;)as i have not done it yet i cant say how long it will take but yes it will take a long time and thats what the gold is buying you(time)
In bold is the part that invalidates a lot of what you’ve said.
Your opinions don’t include issues with Farming Punishment (DR), and the low drop rates.
Have you even looked at the required components for a legendary? 250 of each T6 mat (more for for a few of them because things like The Bitfrost actually require 750 Crystaline Dust total). The Dreamer requires 100 Opal orbs and 100 Chrysicola orbs, which as far as open world PvE goes, pretty much only drop from orichalcum nodes and the occasional chest (which are both time gated items).
If I go farming for half an hour in Cursed Shore, and half an hour in Frostgorge, I get roughly 12 T6 mats on average (this was after a week of “farming” tests).
Gathering the materials for The Bitfrost would take 208 days if you are a “casual” player who only has the focus to farm an hour a day.
But those aren’t the only materials needed.
That doesn’t even touch on issues of certain mats costing more on the tp but dropping less in world. Or the fact that RNG plays such a huge part in two of the main components. The only bonus you get is that when you make mystic clovers, a failed clover recipe might get you some of the T6 mats (it also might net you a single ancient wood plank).
I don’t mind some of the time gating. I think a legendary should take a while to make, but it should also be a set path.
The RNG crap is just ArenaNet making money, nothing more.
I prefer to gather my own materials, however ArenaNet has made it impossible to do so for crafting things such as legendaries and other exotic (meaning the weapon, not the stats) items (i.e. Mystic Crescent).
The Crown Pavillion was the first time I’ve had the opportunity to collect 250 of any T6 mat, and that was just the vicious claws which were dropping like crazy (which I find suspicious, since Anet is planning to remove one of the 3 stats that claws provide).
Outside of the CP, after a week of “farming” half an hour in a zone, in order to account for Farming Punishment (a.k.a. DR), the number of T6 mats I recieved in that time would equate to 2 years+ of farming in order to get all the T6 required for a legendary. This doesn’t include the rarity of orb drops when mining Orichalcum.
ArenaNet hates the few of us who do find enjoyment in crafting from the ground up.
People need commanders to help them out in PvE? You just clump up and spam 1-5 like a pianist. Reckon there should be Login commanders to complement the PvE ones.
THIS. I rarely set foot outside of WvW but when I do and show up at an event and there are 5 tags up……GRRRR. PvE is faceroll there is no reason to tag up unless you are running a guild bounty.
Please post video link of yourself soloing Scarlet. I’m quite interested in seeing this face-rolling you’re talking about.
Armchair commanders, for the most part, are the worst. There are very few good commanders who can’t afford the money, but the majority are people who are simply too lazy to get the tag and think that “leadership” is comprised of yelling in map and insulting anyone that misunderstands or makes a mistake.
Tag up, or shut up. Let the commanders prove themselves to be good leaders.
I play for the rewards, because I know the fun comes with the journey to receive them. Just wish the rewards were less RNG based, and more skill based!
Which is a nice idealistic way of viewing it. The problem is that if the rewards are your ultimate driving factor, then your playstyle is molded to be one that is most loot efficient. Which means you’re just another 1 in the zerg train running through the Paillion or Scarlet’s army or in a COF speed run. IF rewards drive you, then that’s where you’ll be. And if that happens to be your idea of fun, well then lucky you. Me? I get bored in there. And the shinies don’t mean a thing when I’m covered by 40 other players’ particle effects.
If fun is your driving factor, then you determine your playstyle and the loot (whatever it may be) follows you.
And what if getting gear together (rewards) is what makes it fun for you? Have you ever considered that fun could be different things for people?
If you can do the same events or dungeons or whatever 30 times and still think they are fun to do, more power to you…but for other people who like building up a character and getting gear together etc and call the fun, you might agree that this games has very little to offer….guess it depends on what you consider “fun”.
You don’t understand. Dungeons, raids, fractals, and such are the ONLY WAY to have fun. If you are not doing those things, you are not playing the game right, and therefore have no voice in the matter because you are “you’re just another 1 in the zerg train running through the Paillion or Scarlet’s army or in a COF speed run.”
It’s the same attitude that’s slowly been choking the community, dragging it to the sewers. “Play my way or you suck and need to go play something else.”
I derive my enjoyment from games in a number of ways, but one of them which is most relative to both this thread as well as a reason I choose a specific game is based on both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards.
Intrinsicly, the built in rewards, or whatever you choose to call it, is not “I killed that monster”, or “I finished that dungeon”.
This is where the loot haters never “get it”. You can have fun in a game like GW2 that doesn’t involve a boss fight.
For me, it’s the legendaries. The fight isn’t hitting 1,2,3,4,5, etc., it’s following a set path and gathering the materials required to meet that goal.
Yet somehow this automatically qualifies me as someone who should “go play something else”.
This community is seriously starting to act just like the Eve community.
I would think that just browsing the TP would be a good indication of which ones are the “most prestigious” which can be resold.
Mini-Karka comes to mind.
Crazy women make history, bland ones just walk around DR without shoes
It’s the ones who aren’t obvious that are the most dangerous. :P
PVE – Zergfest.
This. A thousand times.
This latest patch caters only to the elite “hardcore” players. If you are not one of the people who have map completion, voice software (in any of god knows how many flavors), and top end gear, you can pretty much forget these map events. You will break your bank trying to teleport to waypoints (if you are lucky enough to have all of them) and if you aren’t within melee range of the person leading the zerg, you will miss out on a huge percentage of the loot.
Three times now I’ve lost champ loot because I arrived about 10 seconds after the main group did and spent another 15 trying to get the kittening targeting system to actually target the champ, which it never did.
The last Scarlet event I never even made it to because I was stuck “in combat” with a champion that everyone just up and left to go kill Scarlett.
If you aren’t “uber” at GW2, this patch will net you nothing but loss.
How do they want us to play?..with our wallets of course.
Bingo! It’s all about the money folks.
I’m pretty much new to dungeons. I think I’ve run CM and CoE in story mode, and AC as the only Explorable one that I’ve completed.
I am wanting to run TA, but really don’t know where to start beyond the guides I’ve watched on youtube.
I have 4 choices for characters to run the dungeon with, hopefully in a manner that is reliable so I can be an asset to whatever party I’m with. I’m looking to run it several times as I need the blossoms for a legendary.
My level 80 characters listed are with the weapons I am most familiar with. I’d like to avoid complete changes if at all possible.
-Warrior with GS/hammer and rifle in bag. Knights armor, rage runes, and ruby trinkets
- Ranger with LB/BS and SB in bag. pow/pre/con-dmg with Ranger runes and Beryl trinkets
- Thief with SB/sword-pistol and 2nd pistol in bag. Pow/Pre/crit-dmg, afflicted runes and ruby trinkets
- Necro staff/scepter-dagger. pow/pre/crit-dmg with Undead runes and topaz trinkets
I’m open to advice on improving them, but to start I’d like to know which would best suit the dungeon with their current gear.
OP, it’s not competive. You’re not competing with other people to get the top score. As others said, you simply need to meet a minimum threshold of damage. It does help a lot if you’re in a party, because the damage threshold is lower.
Vayne, do you happen to have a link on that one? I’ve been hearing conflicting statements on the validity of being in a group while in the Crown Pavillion area. Some seem to think that the advantage of grouping was removed, while others say it is still part of the game mechanics.
ArenaNet needs to add about 100 pieces of clothing for each gender in order for town clothing to be of any use, and I don’t mean $10 a piece gemstore stuff. Expanding the availability of free town clothing would make a change in the right direction. Right now, if you choose not to pay any money, everyone has the exact same outfits. As limited as town clothing has been since release, I’m surprised we even have the option to color them.
@ OP If people are being verbally abusive, then report them. That’s not cool and isn’t tolerated by A-net. Report them.
ArenaNet won’t do anything about verbal abuse. It’s there on the “report” item as a feel good feature. I recently had a friend deal with an all out threat from another player, and all Arenanet would do via support is make excuses as to why the report wasn’t filed correctly.
the problem is all A-net mails have to be removed and 10+ player mails are needed.
I wish it was that simple. I’ve had 10/10 player mails in my box for a while and at one point had 2 “on hold”.
If I buy from the gem store, I delete player mail until I get the item, then have guildmates send me a couple. Still haven’t managed to force the hint completion. :/
