+1, I very much enjoy your vids. Makes me wish we were on Ehmory. Carrying last place for 7 weeks in a row was not the best thing for my server.

Most of our roamers have given up on the zergging and general promotion of that playstyle, to the point it is hard to find anyone that wants to roam (including myself). At least SPVP has welcomed me with open arms.

We had some good times during the season, it is just a shame the development team seems intent to cater to to the blob rather than the smaller group.

It can be frustrating at times no matter which tier you are in, but I’m sure the ratio of fun nights to suck nights goes down a lot in the Gold leagues. Things should be better for you guys now though.

I remember running around in WvW last year when first leveling up my necro with 35K HP.

There is currently only one known way of exploiting that tower and it requires six people working in coordination over teamspeak and the sacrifice of a live child (or puppy) to do it.

I really don’t know what builds they are running as those aren’t their mains (except for Styliii, I think). I suspect they are running balanced builds though. I’m tanky to power-based damage due to dire, of course.

We get zerged all the time. The only thing that changes is the number of zerglings doing it. My intent was to show how lame people are. And, for the most part, they are extremely lame in this game.

We still don’t care about PPT or who wins these matchups. The only thing that matters are the quality of fights. Zergballing does not lead to quality fights. Excuse me for wanting more from this game than that. The game would be better if more people thought that way and took some pride in their individual gameplay.

I’m not even sure why you are getting so worked up about who is winning this matchup. You aren’t a zergling and you are a longtime SBI vet, not a fairweather type.

I like to point out silliness in bragging about things.

Bragging about winning a 2v1 is lame, even on a Server vs Server scale. Its smart thing to do, But pretending afterwards that some how a big strategy was employed to win makes me laugh.

Anyway, you can ignore me all ya want when I tell you future matches won’t be fun for you, I probably won’t even bother logging in for those matches cause I won’t find anything out.

We will always be out. And, the reason you are saying that you might not come out is exactly the reason you will never find us on the servers that dominate their tiers due to population and coverage. Part of the reason why we moved to EBay is because we recognized it as being one of the weakest servers in the upper half of the tier that was only rated as high as it was due to getting horrible RNG rolls in the pre-league system (that is, getting pounded week after week but still gaining rating due to playing much higher rated servers).

Being overwhelmed by numbers isn’t a lot of fun, but running around finding nobody to fight is much worse.

And, bragging about winning any of these matchups for any reason is silly.

Which is cheaper? Winning a match based solely off of superior population and coverage or winning a match by coordinating the two weaker servers to fight the stronger server (in terms of population and coverage).

Answer: They are both equally cheap.

The PPT game is an absolute joke, people. You should have all realized this months ago when people who care about balance were having their suggestions to fix the coverage issue locked and/or deleted by the forum mods.

I’m amazed so many people actually still care who wins these meaningless matchups. The only thing that matters are the fights.

But now you are on day 6 of being kitten ed off about getting zerged away from a mission critical camp on reset night. smoke a joint or something. Our 4 man havok has had both YB and EB call 20+ on us probably once every night this week. It’s because the point we were hitting mattered and the first 5-10 they had sent to fix the problem died. Take it as a compliment that you warranted a large response.

All 3 of the servers in this matchup are terrible and they know it. But we’ve all had some good fights, and arguably the best pvf of the whole season.

This has nothing to do with reset night. I just don’t want to hear some guy from SBI claiming to be outnumbered in all of their fights. Four getting chased by 15-20 is really common from all of the servers (including EBay when we used to fight them). Getting chased by 40-50? I can honestly only recall one server doing that consistently. What a waste of resources and manpower.

Individually we would smash them but together its like facing a T1 server, the numbers are overwhelming. When there are 10-15 people dedicated to preventing yaks from going to keeps, a 20-30 man zerg from the other server hitting bay and another 20-30 man zerg hitting the keep on the other side of the map, you know the ppt isn’t going to be in your favor.

That being said, I have not been in a group that has lost to either server in open field unless we were vastly outnumbered and even then we held out for a long time ( and we have been outnumbered, group vs group, pretty much the entire matchup). Screenshot below is one such example,

You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension.

Let’s see if we can get things straightened out then.

You claim EB and YB are bad in the open field and you have won every fight against them even when outnumbered. The only times you have lost is when you are facing “overwhelming” numbers. Oh yes, and you have been outnumbered in all of your open fields fights. Almost forgot about that gem.

You then post a screenshot with around 15 of you cowering in a tower from a staggering number of Yak’s which appears to be less than 25 people. Our group would consider that a manageable fight with fairly good odds of winning. You obviously don’t have a clue what overwhelming numbers really are.

Overwhelming numbers are things like 4v40 or 10v60.

Coming to Silver league has given us the opportunity to bring a taste of the upper tiers to the lower tiers. The result was many tears.

So, do all of the “upper tier” guilds lose to half their number while fighting outside their tower with siege support? Tears of laughter, maybe.

Honestly, if they took away burning, I feel that Necro’s wouldn’t deal enough damage to compete with other professions. We could give up some defensive stats for more crit, but we don’t have stability either so we need our high armor/HP to survive.

When people complain about Necro burst, what they are really complaining about is that they are CC’d during this burst, because in reality, the damage is nothing compared to power builds.

Personally, I don’t think burning fits a Necromancer, but I would at least want more access to Torment in place of Dumbfire.

As for the idea of making Dumbfire an AE burning in Deathshroud… do you realize how much more OP that would be? lol.

I have never ran dumbfire and I have had 0 (zero) issues with my damage.

there where no nerfs before dumbfire. all the nerfs came after it was introduced in game.
Also I dont feel I need burning to keep my dmg high, like I said in my first responce. you need to learn when and how to condi burst ppl down instead of spamming which is what most necro’s after the dumbfire patch have been doing.

Unfortunately, we will continue to see nerfs come our way because of dhuumfire spite fear combos.

Maybe zerg rushing with 50 to defend a camp isn’t the best strategy. In the matchup we had a few weeks back, SBI did the same thing with their North camp in their BL.

It was predictable. We would hit the North camp with less than 10. SBI would respond with 40-50. So, we took advantage of that and contacted the EBay commanders to let them know what SBI was doing and they ended up taking hills.

Again, if this was a well-designed game and map, wasting manpower and resources like that should be punished heavily. But, unfortunately the maps are too small. Between the waypoints and zergs travelling with swiftness there isn’t enough punishment for zerging with respect to either open field fighting or with respect to PPT.

Necros are underpowered! They can’t sustain or survive if a rabbit looks at them. They need a buff. /whistles

You know, he gets downed a lot in this movie (which is to be expected for the fights shown). The point of the movie is that necros can survive focus for a period of time using DS and plague but once that is depleted you will get caught in an unavoidable downed cycle against a team that is focusing you.

At that point you require teammates to cover for your weaknesses. I’m not sure how that translates to necros are fine at surviving team focus. Generally speaking, it’s best to try to keep good positioning to avoid being focused to begin with if at all possible. Getting caught in a focus train death spiral puts a lot of pressure on your team.
