Personally..The condi weapons are just bad for the job of condi application and also still nerfed for no reason. the damage comes, transferred condis, DS and corrupting boons. its not the actual weapons doing an amazing job.

cele signets and power still outpreform a rabid condi necro and would be a bad match up for rabid to boot because of lf generation and sustained pressure while in DS to soak the damage

Lets diminish the value of making a choice further and also hand out a baseline third weapon to swap to so it goes well with fast hands. A true master of arms should surely utilize 3 weapons in combat.

Personally, I’d say it isn’t OP aside from Blinding Dissipation going through evades and PU synergy with torch trait

its just that mesmer traits and synergy are beautiful. almost everything is useful and a viable choice. other class need to be brought up to that level, that kind of synergy in their builds.

I find it strange that Necromancers did not turn out that way as well considering it is the same dev working on both

if you put a skillful [insert class] against a skillful necro, the other class would lose. Necro only falls short when there are more than 2 people or is taking ranged damage and cant gap close.

The whole kill them them before they kill you in dungeons, ive seen fail quite a few times so I wouldn’t say heal is irreleivant.

If thief is blind spamming i dont see how he can be bursting at the same time with the amount of initiative BP and Shadowshot costs.

Anet has mentioned Necros support is mostly through conditions and heals instead of boon application, considering necros can also rip boons and apply a lot of conditions, which ever is better when competing with guardians is up for debate.

just kittening stop with your unfounded garbage. STOP! you obviously have no kittening clue what you are talking about. we are only “good” in PvP if we are being attacked by condis and can TRANSFER them back, we suck for damage in PvE more so since the recent patch, yes we are worse than before damage wise, and we are only really decent in WvW zerging and lack the sustain, mobility and damage for solo roaming. and just to show you just how clueless you are watch the video below.

Making players waste time jumping on pebbles while they wait for a match is absolutely horrendous

at least I enjoyed watching people duel in 1 vs 1 servers or going for a hotjoin match while waiting for a queue pop but now I get to stare into empty dull space while waiting for the queue pop instead

Have you ever played a Mesmer? Our condi removal sucks too. Every class needs its weakness.

The real difference is mesmer is too slippery for conditions to stick and accumulate with traited blinds, invulnerability, stealth and in combat mobility. plus the bag of cc they pack to stop a condi user from continuing their condi stacking.
besides if a mesmer chooses to spec for condition remove and slot in utilities to deal with conditions they suddenly have no problem clearing conditions given they give up offensive utilities and traits.
so far revenant cant spec for good condition removal and condition cleanse skills cost both energy and have a cooldown so…its a bad combo for a front line heavy class

going with the theme of the trait, my version would be
Remove ICD
Make Axe 3 a blast finisher
Cripple effects you apply last 50% longer. Foes under effect of cripple expend extra endurance to dodge
While under the effects of Retaliation, Foes striking you lose endurance for each skill used on you.

tbh this trait cant be saved since it competes with 2 far superior traits.

Mesmer is just…kitten , everything is viable and FUN no matter the choices. Did you see the synergy between traits and weapon and how playstyle changes depending on choice and how its does not bore you in a few mins of playing….it is indeed a thing beauty those traits are and the revenant could be the same. if only the necromancer got more out of Robert Gee but this new class could be pretty engaging and fun if it were to be built from sctarch with a clear mind set and vision on what it is supposed to do.

what kind of conclusion are people drawing? the traits follow the old system in concept and were not updated and likely need a rework to compensate

its a beta for a reason the class is not even half way finished!

look for servers on tiers 4 and 5 to join.
anything else takes too much time to find a fight unless that is of no concern

tbh 11k for the lowest hp tiers is indeed just too low for the current stat of the game in general

Since the further reduction in lich duration you really need to be wary of which skills you use since they all have long lousy cast times

waste no time wasting the target with 1 spam nothing else is worth it at all with such a short 15 duration at the moment

they did on power builds pre patch when plague sending did not exist and after until now. turning plague and well of darkness to a chill pulsing machine helps bomb people in large scale fight in wvw. curses now doesnt enhance the powermancer much aside from defensive gimmicks

to be honest/no hate kind sir you were no better than an idle practice golem in your own recording

so you likely have a marauder amulet, heard a shadow refuge being dropped by fellow thief, had d/p could have tried to stealth up and relocate to prevent a burst, had no stun breaks slotted, just ran around asking for it and came here to complain. open on an unsuspecting player? you were already in combat and were aware of the danger for sure.
