My only question I have about these is how do the horns work when you are wearing an item with the Dragon Bash helmet skin that has horns?
Well, the issue I see with this is crafting…
Medium armor tends to salvage into leather, Light into cloth, Heavy into ore.
Medium armor wearers would thus get shafted, while Light armor wearers would profit the most.
I don’t understand your concern. I am not saying that weapons or armours would drop for this idea. In fact if you think about it pretty much 99% if not 100% of mob drops are all CRAFTING related and my idea covers EVERY mat that can be dropped. If anything this would only help people to get what they need easier.
I’m not sure how rare they are but I just got one from one of those bags and yes it was the black one. I’m loving it, another endless to my collection, that makes 4-5 now lol.
Yup another ANNOYING bug from this patch.
1)Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlett’s Armies causes you to take PLUS 10% damage from said armies.
2)You now must purchase an airship ticket to use the crafting stations that moved from LA to Vigil Keep.
You can also add that the new armours for male Medium and Light seem incorrect. Medium should be Light and vice versa.
To me as a Male char the Medium armours look more wizardy and the Light looks more steampunkish. This a bug or oversight guys? If so this is a big boo boo! :P
Pic enclosed is for “medium”
(edited by Paulytnz.7619)
I bought the medium armor, and I hate it. It just looks ridiculous. This is the first armor that I have bought from the gem store that I have not been happy with.
The armor doesn’t have a lot of detail to it – certainly not when compared to other gem store armors. The blue is preposterous, and the smurf boobage is embarrassing.
Actually if you are male I think they have mixed up the Medium and Light armours. Light looks like engi steampunk and Medium looks like wiz gear……
Actually I change my mind on this issue with THESE sets in particular after just seeing them in preview. They look absolutely horrid for any settings under high. I play on auto detect because of my comp and these look real bad. The “blue” looks like lycra (perhaps I am thinking spandex? Dunno lol) as you see next to no muscle definition, you only see that on high res.
I wouldn’t be seen in this gear or wouldn’t even get paid to wear it. The rest apart from the blue is just……..yeah enough said about that. The only part I would ever consider wearing would be the Light helmet and even then it looks more suited for a medium or heavy class.

Edit – sorry wrong post lol.
only pve updates
Not so, they addressed the issue with retaliation on the new mists map which was a HUGE oversight. If you meant anything NEW well WvW got it 2 weeks ago, PvP is still in the works for great things to come so don’t worry too much.
Honestly people how many sets can you wear at any given time anyway!? I don’t know which game, or who/where it was ever said that MMO’s HAVE to periodically bring in new wep/armour skins. Even having 7 alts and my main I can’t see myself using ALL of what was made available at the start of the game. Mind you I understand how most of what there are does not look so great, but still…
All the new armor sets are only available in the gem store, that’s the problem.
I don’t see it as a problem. They need desirable things in the gem shop to entice people to spend money and these are obviously one of the better ideas for that end.
PS, not ALL new armour sets are gem store only – ascended is an example that comes to mind.
Do you have any characters in the Order of Whispers? The Chantry of Secrets counts and is only gotten if in the Order as I recall.
This map POI counts for everyone and everyone needs it for world complete. Your order and personal story has nothing to do with it. However you ask a very good question because 99% of the time this is the exact cause which holds people up from completing their world maps.
lol, for some reason, after reading the whole thing, I come to conclusion OP must hate ranger.
Umm actually I love the ranger and use him as my farmer if and whenever I feel like farming. Heck I just soloed 2 champs (quaggin/broodmother) in Frostgorge with him while roaming since no one is there and everyone is in LA.
Interesting, then I assume you didn’t give your own idea much thought, because the way I see:
Thief: borderline broken, almost equivalent to guarantee loot bag per kill
Ranger: higher chance/guarantee leather(that’s what skin/hide turn into), meat
Ele: higher chance for gem/dust/wood, and maybe even ores.
Engi: down right broken, it’s not even a drop bonus, since you can farm vendor trash on a different character, and give them to engi for the conversion.(so everyone will just make an engi alt)
All other “afterthought” classes: higher chance of ores/clothes<—-basically a lesser version of ele, but still better than ranger.
You may not have noticed that I said Anet would balance this so all classes are/were fair and that this was all off the top of my head.
Thief, this was the point, you realise some bags have junk like apples etc right and I also did say they could adjust this particular loot bag pool of items.
Some cases you need leather and that’s the whole point of this! If your concern is that leather/hides are worthless then Anet could bring in more uses for them like we saw with T5 cloths which shot their value up.
Engi is not broken as those “trophy” items like all others are soulbound so you would/could not farm these on other alts to pass to engi.
Thanks for input.

Making it required to have certain professions for running certain content to max out the profit of loot drops sounds like a bad idea.
it is an “in addition too” regular loot drops.
OP, as an off the top of the head idea I can see where it might be an interesting dynamic. Could be fun. if nothing else that you get a small bonus drop for even just the armor tier you wear. little things. but if anything, a even slightly better drop rate of ANYTHING would not be amiss. Even if it was class specific.
That would be dumbing down my already dumbed down idea but I get what you mean and thanks for the input.
Tbh tho I think the drop system in this game is pretty bad, one of the worst I have ever seen and seriously think it needs to be looked at. Not just to be more rewarding but seem more rewarding every time you kill something. Having said that tho that is not the focus of this thread but I feel it had to be touched on slightly.
In a game I came from you get a drop 99% of the time and that 1% you miss out on is sort of an anomaly as it is a missing out on a rare drop. Works like this – you kill something you get a random item from a drop list. On this list is a chance for “rare items” if you get this roll you roll another “wheel” or drop list. On this second drop list you get a roll which has various valuable items placed on it. This second list has “empty slots” for rewards that the devs may want to add to the game in the future. If you roll an empty slot you get a “no drop”.
That game you got a drop pretty much every kill and it really made it seem worth your effort/time. Here you can go 10 kills and nothing. Most of the drops in that game are coin drops mind you and would be equal to say anything from 1 copper – maybe 1 silver here. It’s not a lot but it sure looks nice to see it drop on the ground (which happens there then you have to pick up) and then over time it all adds up.
Have you done your personal story? Claw Island at lvl50ish counts for 4 pois, doesnt it?
No this is not needed at all. On all 7 of my alts I have got 100% world map BEFORE I even touched the story. It makes it far easier to do the story since you have all waypoints open and you can view the entire thing in a day or two depending on your patience so it all seems together and not spread out.
Also, Lion’s arch is emptying in Europe. Many people, that where lost, came back. People that lost trust in Arenanet. Hopeing this patch would give them a sign off recovery. a reason to come back. This has been extremely hyped up. Those people will be gone forever now.
I know it is an American Company. But given past experience I have been telling my friends they had to check this out. No way I’ll ever going to convince them to spent any minute in this game.
You do realise that YOU have ben helping to hype this up right? Perhaps even to yourself too much? TBH you should ALWAYS wait and see how things turn out and THEN hype them up to people….well that’s just my thoughts.
Yes. I love this game, and I have been using this as an argument to try it again.
But I have been trying that for ages. The thing that helped was the announcement, made by Arenanet. but they wont come back now.
Well that’s sad to hear, maybe in time they will come back, you just never know what the future holds…
Nope.
Doesn’t even make sense in the world. Why should your profession dictate anything other than your combat style ?
Doesn’t make sense? So a thief tief that does not actually steal things to actually keep or profit off makes sense? Not being able to skin animals for their hides rather than HOPE the RNG Gods will be kind to you for them makes more sense?
Also why should ones class NOT dictate anything other than combat style? Some already do to a degree, Mesmers with portals, Engi’s with jumpshot for JP’s etc. To answer your question tho for variety and fun (refer to paragraph 2 again).
lol, for some reason, after reading the whole thing, I come to conclusion OP must hate ranger.

Recheck some of the recent maps that have been changed, Kessex may be one.

Wow 90 odd views and no one has an opinion on this at all? O.O
Perhaps I wrote too much…….
I think the problem here is that the OP thinks this is going to be a 1 time event thing and a specific time perhaps like the Karka was or last time something happened in LA when the statue was destroyed. I don’t think it will be like this but more just a regular LS update where things happen when WE log in and last the full 2 weeks. If I am correct talk about blowing this slight delay in patching right up into something much more than what it is.
Hey at least they didn’t just say “when it’s ready”. :P
You get these from various karma (heart vendors) in the Charr starter zone/map.
I like the idea that we could get new rewards from them but then again there are people like me who have 100% on pretty much all of our alts. What then would there be for us since we would already have all the way points unlocked lol? We need more ideas people.
Before I go into the idea part of this post I would first like to say that I do NOT hope to change the current loot/drop system. I think that is far too complex for me to go into and would be best looked at from Anet when it comes to that. I would also like to say that this idea is in it’s very basic form and is more of a “off the top of my head” thing. I would of course think if implemented that Anet would do so in such a way that would be balanced for all classes involved and game balance and not being such a big impact on the current economy.
Now that I have got the “not’s” out of the way I will say what I hope to achieve with this idea. Basically add a bonus drop system to the current drop system which would be seen as a bonus. Why would I like such a thing? Well, I think it would be a fun/cool new way to obtain current in game items as well as possibly give players an incentive to get out there and kill regular monsters again. Another bonus would be an incentive to play other classes and possibly get players into “alting” more. Also it would help with those complaints people have had before about reality/immersion (brief example – why can’t I skin animals?). Lastly it will make killing regular creatures feel MORE REWARDING being that it pretty much assures you a drop 100% of the time or per kill depending on the situations of course. Now to the idea in itself.
Basically each and every class will get a “bonus drop” per kill depending on what class they are and what creature they are killing. I had at first thought this would be a new “skill” that we could use after or during each fight or kill. In the end I dumbed it downed. However if Anet feels this idea is too “powerful” or rewarding they could have it as a skill that we have to perform per battle (for ele/thief) or after battle (for everyone else besides engi) which may even have it’s own cooldown and skill slot on the UI. That or the drop itself has an internal cool down and requires no action on our part. Anywho onto which classes get what:
Thief – Can actually “steal” and gain reward TO KEEP and profit from. Their targets would be any mob (I will use the term mob to mean monster :P) that drops loot bags. They would get one random item from loot bag per kill. Anet could adjust the contents of loot bags for this if they feel they have to.
Rangers – They can FINALLY skin any creature that drops hides/skins. One per kill. There could also be a chance of gaining instead “meat” from those that drop meat or it could be an extra bonus on top of the skin/hide. Again up to Anet.
Ele’s – Use the power of the elements to absorb Gems/Dust from elementals, wood from Oakhearts and other wooden creatures. Perhaps ores from dredge as well.
Engi – The power of repairing goes to them. Basically they can turn all those “vendor trash” “trophy” drop damaged “fine mats” such as broken claws, fangs, teeth etc into the actual “good” versions of them. I would not suggest 1 for 1 and would leave the actual ratio up to Anet. I would think maybe 5 to 1 or perhaps 10 to one would be fair. Not totally sure, but then again that means they are not getting an assured drop every turn but instead gain the bonus from pretty much every creature so this would need major thinking/number crunching here.
Before I move on to the last four remaining classes keep in mind I kind of got stuck for ideas here and just went with what was left over.
Warrior/Guardian: These heavy armour using people can salvage (get as drop) ores from dredge and leather from any creature that drops leather (usually humanoids that drop loot bags – example centaurs/ettins).
Necro/Mesmer: Similar to Warrior/Guardian but instead these light wearing classes can salvage cloths from creatures that drop them (again usually humanoids that drop loot bags – example bandits).
And there we have it. Remember I do not wish to change the current system or have this be too much of a problem with regards to the economy. However I feel something like this could do wonders for the game in it’s current situation (see above – paragraph 2).
Please if you like this idea don’t just think “cool” and then move on. Please post something, it does not have to be a whole book (like me :P) or a lot, even if just “cool idea bro” or “I like this”. We need a lot of support (replies) to get something like this to happen and to all those who read all of this, ty good work!

Besides that you CAN make games like this controller viable/friendly, FF14 is a good example and so was 11. Wake up and get out of the stone age already dude. :P
It can be controller friendly, but the controller users will still be at a HUGE disadvantage. Honestly, if they end up porting it I’d rather see separate servers. I don’t really want to play with people hugely gimping themselves because they chose to use a controller over a proper KB/M, especially in PvP.
Also, the rather weak CPUs of the next gen consoles could present a rather significant barrier to getting the game on them as well.
Like I said, players can always plug in a keyboard and mouse. Right now you may be teaming with people in GW2 who are using a controller and “gimping themselves” and you might not even know it.
No.
you want a reason why not, beside the part where everything needs to be adjusted to fit on a tiny controller, this is why.
what GW2 needs to be able to use all the features:

what a controller has:

what a controller needs to pull this of:
i really can’t put it any easier…..
These days technology has come so far you can plug a mouse and keyboard INTO gaming consoles, funny enough you can ALSO plug controllers into a PC.
Besides that you CAN make games like this controller viable/friendly, FF14 is a good example and so was 11. Wake up and get out of the stone age already dude. :P
Personally I think that this might be something they might look at further down the road, far, far down (maybe a year or few). I say this because they are still trying to launch the game in other places such as china for example. They are doing this while also getting through the teething stages of mastering this game to get it where they want it (as well as us the player base finally understanding as they do and “getting it” and accepting it).
Prepare to face all the console haters coming to flame this thread because they exist on these forums I have seen it before lol. Having said that I think that GW2 was designed with consoles being in mind as a possible thing later if they ever wanted to. You only need to see the smaller skill bars and other things to see this.
So for right now I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Also another thing PS4 is still very new out, they would want to see stats from that side too as well I would assume before they commited to anything, as well as how other games offer their services via it etc.
I think at this stage of the game for those of us who have been an engi since launch or for so long it would totally throw us off the Engi class. We are just too used to the engi class been seen as the “shot gun” class. Even the other skills for the rifle seem more like a shotgun feel than a traditional rifle. Skill 5 where you blast the ground and it forces you up while weakening the enemy seems like a shotty thing to me. Also the other skills with a powerful shotty blast skill 3 and of course 4 a similar skill (in animation and concept) just with less power but a knockback.
I think that what they NEED to do is give engi’s MORE shotgun skins. Keep the warrior as the traditional looking rifle user and if ranger ever gets to use rifles have them more the “sniper” variety.
Well that’s my opinion anyways for what it’s worth.
Def agree with this. Also there are some monsters that you do not see too often, they may only appear in one or two maps and I think that’s a crime. I can’t remember what they are called but I think one is sort of like a mini dinosaur. We need more dinosaur type creatures! Give us a T-Rex now that would be scary-cool.
I have all 8 classes all with world complete and all have finished their stories. It’s pretty much what you said, I have all 7 alts parked up in Frostgorge at the North Eastern most WP and I scout just that area once per day to find any Ori/Ancient wood and gather it on each of them. That 25-ish of just one of them or both sure adds up each day over time.
That’s all they are good for until/if expansions with more stories come to beat and/or more lands with hearts/explores come to do all over again.
However I do have my ranger set as my farmer if I ever feel like doing that, as I find they are great in PvE for farming (stalker cat takes one enemy, I take the other and they both go down in a matter of seconds).
Oh yeah, and if anymore classes/races come you know I WILL make new chars and complete the world explores and stories on those too lol.
(edited by Paulytnz.7619)
Here you go!
Yup, this is the only thing that is acceptable to me, of course I think it would be more similar to the Charr tank but you get the idea! Also the underwater version would be the Sub.
(edited by Paulytnz.7619)
Confusion is the same as hex in gw1? ok go and fight a g5 mesmer in gw1 then come back and tell us its the same.
well yes Confusion does the same thing as visions of regret except its just much weaker and way more situational. in gw1 good mesmers could really mess with you’re head so much you couldn’t use any skills at all.
As much as i loved mesmer in gw1 it couldent work here the same way.
Its because of rock/scissor/paper concept.
I think it could work here, but it would need to be done properly of course and not some rush job. Also with your rock, papers, scissor concept there can ALWAYS be more things thrown in to the mix and still have the balance there.
That would require a totally new game mechanic, new skills, new stats, mobs would need to be redesigned to use/defend hexes and so one.
I would love to have “Panic” and “Ineptitude” in game, but in GW1 you could get heroes build them to complement your build, in GW2 you would need to rely 100% in another players to cover your lack of cond removal or hex removal.
I am def not saying that it would be an easy or small job, something like this would def take a lot of work. The question that would need to be asked is would it be worth it? I think PvPers and those who are always asking for more roles to be added would say so.
Also I would think it wouldn’t have to be a new mechanic added as such. They could just tweak a lot of the current skills to be either a cond or a hex. In my mind hexes would mainly be with the Mesmer class and we can think of necros and others as being conds, but that’s not to say that the other classes wouldn’t be able to dabble in hexs or build into it.
Further to this I believe conds such as cripple, paralyze etc should also be separated from the “condition” label and have them as a new label as “control” and again we would need other ways of removing these.
Oh also if they REALLY had to they could always add in consumables that we could use that could remove hexs, conds, etc at the time. That could also be a game changer right there. These consumables would not be the same as the current ones where the buffs remain for a certain time limit (nor would they effect them or mess with them in any way). These could be situational and thought of as a skill in their own right, you click, food or potion or whatever would remove the effect and if you are hit again with that or another effect (hex, cond or control etc) you would have to use another etc. That’s just another idea of course…
(edited by Paulytnz.7619)
You know I actually like this idea or would like something similar to it. I think with something like this it could get players back to some of the older maps again. I mean if a map is in peril, the roleplayers would def go just for the sake of feeling like a hero and doing something for the good.
Does your idea extend to every map and not just the current ones with world bosses?
Why you feel the need of Hex if it have the exactly same effect than confusion (in the case of the ones you showed), sure it would give more option for damage, but it seems only a new obstacle for a good class balance.
The thing is they dumbed the whole system down. They made it too simple to remove everything. In GW1 most builds you would only consider taking one or the other, hex or cond removal and you relied on your allies to help cover the other usually.
Build to do damage with one or the other as well as building to remove one or the other here (or even both if you wish to at the expense of another utility slot wasted) could do a lot for strats as well as having others have roles to help cover your weaknesses if you don’t build to remove yousrelf.
Perhaps Anet it’s time you give us more benefit of the doubt and not have so much stuff dumbed down? Changeable weapon skills would also be another good place to start!
This has been discussed before, they can easily split the maps. A cleansed Orr for those who have completed the game and one for those who havn’t yet.
The problem with that solution is that “oldschool” Orr would be underpopulated and new players trying to get through it would have an even harder time.
I guess if they really had to they could have an option to go back or in the least make it possible if in a party with someone who has not completed the game yet. Where there’s a will there’s always a way.
Yes I like to do weird things in game lol….
Now I know the game is in for a bunch of changed and what I’m about to say doesn’t have to affect it but in a Living World, doesn’t thing usually get better? I mean we can have stuff that permanently changes the world but I don’t remember a lot of good things happening, like maybe with Orr? We “cleansed” it but nothing changed. But with Scarlet, things actually changes, like we got a tower, then blew it up. The land wasn’t ruined forever but there was damage. Are we ever going to see good things actually happen to the world instead of “Oh you beat Scarlet, Good job.”? And is a Living World just concerned with Living Story like if the Living Story doesn’t affect it, it shouldn’t do anything (like with the cleansing of Orr)? I’m just kind of curious.
Well, for the personal story, it would be kinda weird to change the entire area of Orr just for the first person to ever complete the personal story, so I can accept that we haven’t seen changes yet for the sake of gameplay, as other people need those things to stay the same so they can do the current personal story.
This has been discussed before, they can easily split the maps. A cleansed Orr for those who have completed the game and one for those who havn’t yet.
I guess if there was a cap they may as well just remove them right? What would be the point once you reached max to do most of the stuff over and over? Also you would then just have a ton of people sitting at the number one spot on the highscores list thingy. Again, pointless having AP and that list etc.
That is not exactly true. Well developed and expanded AP system with a finite cap can still have large spread of scores, even at the top edge. The higher you get, the harder it gets to grab those still remaining to unlock. An example which uses considerably larger players pool from GW2 can be found here http://www.wowprogress.com/apoints/ This of course assumes that achievements would be expanded periodically in batches (like with expansions or large content patches). But even if they would not, we are still talking about a monumental effort to unlock them all. I mean, think about how long would it take to max out Legendary Champion. 14,973,500 rank points? Or those 1,000,000 dolyaks in WvW? Good luck!
Yeah better compare it with a achievement system of a completely different game instead of just comparing it with the predecessor of GW2 ;D
That’s funny I was under the impression that GW1 was the predecessor to this game? Also, WoW is a completely different game too. My point was in the game I mentioned that’s how it all turned out. So I am now guessing your point is that it can turn out another way perhaps as in the example above. I guess that makes both examples even and it would all come down to how Anet dealt with it right? That is unless my logic is totally up the shoot of course…
If Scarlett or her minions get to close to the Tengu they will all just do the bird dance and confuse her messed up mind even more. She wont be able to handle it and just decide to leave them WELL alone and move on.
What kind of limit do you mean?
A limit on the amount of APs you can get via Daily Achievements?
Honestly, I don’t feel the need for any limit on the amount of Achievement Points a person can earn in a given time.
What would such a limit achieve?
Truthfully, if I happen to have a good day, where I managed to get a lot of the Achievements on my Daily list done (beyond the 5 it takes to get the Daily Achievement done…) then darn it, I want all my extra Achievement Points!
I’m not a rabid AP chaser, and I don’t feel compelled to try and do /all/ the Daily or Monthly Achievements. They happen on their own for me through normal gameplay. But I see little benefit to effectively throttling back the amount of AP’s anyone can get over the course of a certain time period.
I think he/she meant a “total cap” so that once you did everything and reached that cap you get the sence you have “beaten” the game and can relax some and not worry about hunting down those new APs every 2 week patch.
I guess if there was a cap they may as well just remove them right? What would be the point once you reached max to do most of the stuff over and over? Also you would then just have a ton of people sitting at the number one spot on the highscores list thingy. Again, pointless having AP and that list etc.

I was mainly posting from experience of seeing how it all worked out in Runescape when I played there. They have a cap on “skill Points” which basically cover all skills (which go up to 99 in each) as well as combat levels. In that game it is VERY VERY grindy and takes YEARS to reach max lvls (unless you cheat some how which some people do). Even then we saw the problem of people all sharing the number one spot so in the end they just made it the first person who reached there stayed there. Of course this changed each time they bring out a new skill and the gold rush starts all over again…
Very unhealthy playstyle believe me.
They did this already. It’s called Southsun, just not underground.
It worked out so well.
The problem with Southsun is it is totally a lvl 80 area and even then it is more created for groups. If we are talking all zones that we have thus far with let’s say one new map coming each 2-3 months or so (which I would be happy with) then just think of the current zone lvls. All starter zones dungeons would be aimed with those levels in mind with possibly some areas in them for the higher lvls or small groups of said levels.
Levels and difficulty aside (again mainly referring to Southsun) there should also be more incentives to go there. Really where Southsun is concerned all that springs to mind are karka shells and those passionfruit things. Surely they can come up with more than that with a little bit of thought.
The mobs there are not exactly fun to fight either, sure they might be a challenge the first few times you fight them but how long does that fun really last?
To everyone else who have read and replied ty let’s keep this going for a little bit longer.
So…you want a map that is for individuals. That has better rewards. And you want enemies that are “fun”, and you want it to be easy too.
Gotcha.
Way to try and put words into someone’s mouth. I am suggesting that that some of us might like “new maps” to tie some of us over that are fun to explore, no major lore addition to the game which can be fun to go to and fight in which includes ALL LEVELS. What’s wrong with that, you got something against low lvls or having fun?
As for rewards, Anet likes to reward players they have said so in the past, besides we ALL play games for reward in some way or another. Weather it’s that next level up, that map explore done, killing that “newb” in wvw or finding new monsters to slay that oh just hey might have a new wep/armour skin or some other fun item reward why not?
…I wasn’t putting words in anyone’s mouth, sounds unsanitary.
Just trying to make it clear to myself, and others, what you suggested.
Aha, ok then, carry on.
This was a great non-instanded dungeon

Yeah this is more what I’m talking about and looks a lot more like a GW2 style I could imagine, however with a bit more rooms and bigger areas here and there. But the narrow corridors here and there and wall styles are about right. Oh and just wow at all those skill bars! O.O
Oh it gets even better, direct quote from an article a few of the devs had:
“You might have survived Tequatl. You might have escaped from Orr. But this is L.A.”
You can find it here:
Now if that does not sound like a movie trailer quote I don’t know what does!
Edit: Actually after looking that article over again it might have been that site that made that up, if so you dropped the ball Anet, doh!
I guess if there was a cap they may as well just remove them right? What would be the point once you reached max to do most of the stuff over and over? Also you would then just have a ton of people sitting at the number one spot on the highscores list thingy. Again, pointless having AP and that list etc.
I agree, I’ve been wanting an open world dungeon as well. Reminds me of Avalon City, as well as many other dungeons in daoc.
I thought we were going to get one when that spire or whatever it was called was previewed in a past LS, but it turned out not to be.
I watched the video you linked, tbh not sure what I was watching there but I get the idea, your group in a dungeon or something fighting off waves of bad guys. I think we really do need something like this and as I said they would be treated as “new maps” to tie us over until the big expansions come.
Thanks for your support.
tbh, that video didn’t really do it any justice, the place is huge, I couldn’t find any decent videos though, just short vids of people camping spots grinding, or raids killing the main boss in the dungeon.
This video gives a better view of the place.
Wow that was pretty well open for what I would normally see as a dungeon. Mind you that’s probably what we would need here for the camera to be workable and such. Did I really see an underground Stonehenge type place?
Thanks for the vids, I hope it gives some people more of an example of what could be possible here.
