Season 4 Ranked Matchmaking Change

Its AVERAGE MMR of your Team AVERAGE of enemy team MMR. From a pool of 10 people taken within a certain PIP range. So yeah you can have high MMR players and low MMR players. The MM will try and create 2 teams with an even chance of winning.

Exactly! why do I have to try harder because the low mmr players don’t want to get good?

It’s almost as if ANET is attempting a mmr reset by forcing all players to win / lose at insane rates for next year.

You do realise right that if you have high MMR and are getting low MMR people put on your team the EXACT same thing is a happening on the other team. So it’s an even fight (or should be in theory). So when you come up against those low MMR people on the other team you should be blowing them out of the water. However when you face the high MMR on their team, well the better player will stand victorious it’s just a matter if it’s you or him…..

No one could or should expect to win every time, that would be saying you think you deserve easy (free) wins or are the best player out there. Which by the way, even the best players (and this even goes for real life sports people and such, chess masters etc included) still have losses or a bad day.

I wouldn’t say a bug but possibly one way gold sellers can get around the person to person trading system. If people are actually buying these items for these prices it should send alarm bells to Anet.

How would gold sellers be getting around person to person trading with 1 million silver ore buy orders? I’m not seeing it and would appreciate an explanation of how that works.

What’s more likely to me is people buying silver ore cheap at large volume to refine into ingots to sell. Buying volumes of cheap mats to make a few gold is what I suspect is happening.

Buy orders? I thought sell, my bad. Oh and btw we are talking a “single” ore here for vast amounts of cash not bulk amounts (or so I thought).

I don’t get the storage thing either, why would someone take the risk of doing that and then someone come along and sell them that item and take all their cash? Makes no sense….

Season 4 Ranked Matchmaking Change

I’m loving this season! I missed season 1 due to my computer dying just before Christmas. And so I started season 2 and it was really bad for me, that continued into 3. Now finally I am breaking out of my bad MMR thanks to the more balanced fights. Last 2 seasons if you were on the bad side of MMR you were doomed to stay there due to always being placed on the losing team (or so some say and I assumed/experienced as well).

Most of my games have been pretty fair so far. Only a handful of steamrolls if I recall. But I am seeing the same players I recognise now and they are not ALWAYS on my side or the team like last season. They are getting nice spread on both mine and the other team. So I can easily see how this is working “correctly” now, or better at least.

Yes please for PvP…..

Every time I get the map with the Trebs I have to ask my team at start to please wipe it if someone is on it as I am a Cond Ele and take far too long to wipe it due to that….

I believe this falls under the “balance” category.

I know this COULD go into the PvP forum but I am not sure that it “should”. It does feature PvP in the subject but I think this is more of an “achievement” thing and as such I am not sure the PvP mods/Gms/what have you – can do anything about this.

With that said, on to the topic at hand lol:

So right now we need 150 Game wins for the Champion “insert class here” title and 200 for the regular “insert class here” achievement. Huh wait did I just read that right? 150 for Champion and 200 for regular? Yes you did just read that.

Okay I know that this DID make sense in the old PvP system. Being that you could and would in theory get the first 50 wins playing in unranked while you learn to get good with the class for PvP. It just made sense. So then once you have that you could go into ranked and get the last 150 wins and have both achievements finish up nice and neat together.

It made sense that way. But now unless I am missing something (and please do correct me if I am wrong!) it does not. Simply because both unranked and ranked now count for both achievements. So now it is pretty much impossible to get the regular title before the Champion version. So if I am correct and this is the case should we not discuss a change to this? It just makes no sense to me to get the champion before the regular and have to play and win another 50 games after getting the champion title before I get the regular title.

Possible fix? Well I could suggest switching the win amounts around but tbh it’s not much of a difference to be honest. Should the Champion be tied back to ranked only? Not sure what I think about that but I do look forward to comments!

Daily Event Etiquette

Posted by: Paulytnz.7619

Paulytnz.7619

To Paulytnz, I don’t think there is anything wrong with porting in and first asking if any events are active. After all, I may go into the map with the intention of doing the daily, but literally have no idea what is going on where/when. So therefore, I need to ask, to get me pointed in the right direction, otherwise I’ll be wandering around aimlessly. The people who do list off events are obviously willing to let people know. I mostly ask “Events?” when I have WP’d in blind. Events get done so fast when it’s a Daily, you never know what will be next.

But yes, people should at least say thank-you for being directed towards an event. But if people don’t ask if an event is going on or not, they may never know. So that’s not he problem.

The worst offenders are the ones who gather together and kill a boss without giving other people time to arrive. That one frustrates me the most, but I don’t get angry or petty over it.

Usually this does not bother me much but it can get spammy after a while. Actually I think I may get annoyed after a while because you can see some people come into the map and ask for an event, fair enough. But then once one is called and you can clearly see that said person at it what do you think happens once that event ends? Yup, same person will just stand there and ask “events?” again right away. I mean come on dude, we are probably all right here with you…..

I think it’s these people that give everyone else a bad rep or negative view towards those porting in and asking right away. To those people who just stand there after an event I again would and do say “use your initiative, go and look for one, go and gather mats, sooner or later you will come across an event or someone will call one out”. Tbh it’s not rocket science. People like me will always call out events because as I said earlier it does benefit both others as well as myself.

Gaile,
I am asking the following question just out of curiosity :
Can’t things like this be taken to Court to shut down the site? Fighting it at the source sounds like the most efficiënt option.

(I’m assuming it’s not easily done, otherwise it would have happend, but I’m just wondering how that works)

the most famous gold sellers move to china because china gets paid so they dont care who gets scammed.

Not only that even their government gets accused of hacking into business’s and such of other nations. So you would imagine they may even hire people to do so.

Seems kinda racist, without any data to back that up. Could just as easily be US personnel operating on US soil. And are we forgetting all the bad stuff the NSA, CIA and FBI does? Probably best not to try and attribute any of this to a particular country.

Hey it’s not me making the claims, you only need to search in google and you see certain governments/organisations blaming others for these things. I was not really pointing my finger at any certain country as such. But the point remains, if governments (and this could be any government) have a hand in this sort of behaviour towards other nations businesses it’s not likely you can stop it legally.

You best protection is prevention.

He will if he purchases LS2. Same with HoT and Season 3 (and any gliding whatsoever), which he said he had no problem purchasing. He won’t get ‘1’, if you mean Season 1, but, of course, will have access to the Personal Story (if that’s what you mean by ‘1’).

I think this is a bit of putting the cart before the horse. One probably should not worry about all the added content before experiencing the Core, for a smoother gaming experience. There’s no rush; several months until we even get another (major) update to the story/game.

But essentially he doesn’t get 3/4th of the game… And he bought it! He’s at F2P level!

Three/fourths of the game? You must be a big proponent of Heart of Thorns if you feel those 4, now 5 maps encompass 3/4 of the game. Glad to hear you enjoy it so much, and appreciate the Devs’ hard work.

The truth is that those elite trait lines, many of the start options, a of the gear and skills, and massive chunks of the story are locked behind HoT or simply unavailable anymore.

One entire class is simply unaccessible entirely.
An entire game mode Raids is locked off.
Much of the gear options are locked off.
Most skills are locked off which makes the lvl 80 mastery thing a permanent problem I think since harder core content greatly benefits from elite specs.

Etc.

HoT was bigger than 4 maps. In entirely it’s unfurled into something huge.

Almost all endgame content lies in HoT.
Legendary armor? Same.

Almost all endgame? Ummm no, not unless you like excellent farming. Outside of HOT for endgame we have:

World Complete
Achievements (yes I know there are also HOT achieves, think of them as a bonus :P)
WvW
PvP
Fractals
Legendaries
JPs
Mini Dungeons
Dungeons

That is a lot there so let’s see what HOT brings:

Raids
New legendaries (only 3)
More achivements
A new class – Not exactly end game but something else to explore.
Adventures – Not really end game as such but something else to do.

Masteries – Only the core tyria can really count here as the HOT ones are for the HOT maps except for gliding but it was originally.

On paper it may look similar but imo there is more end game in core tyria being things like PvP and WvW can go on and on forever due to how fun you find them.

Great advice Acapela. I have a few things to say about your tips or to add to them:

1/2 – Not only is it helpful to others to share the event by calling it out but in most events you also upscale it which usually equals more loot bags for everyone. So it also benefits you.

3 – If you have a tag use it when calling these events and as acapela said always give a direction. However no need to keep your tag up after the event unless (filter) it chains into other events. It’s always good to tag down after an event.

4 – I like to use PVT on my main and do my daily on him as the PVT keeps me alive a bit longer (always good for a commander tag) and the other benefit is I do less damage than your typical zerker which means more people have a chance to tag the events. Consider tapping just a mob here or there and then kite around so others may turn up if it was called or wear some other gear like I do. Again the more people that turn up the more loot you usually get due to upscaling.

Now for a couple of my own:

5 – Always think twice about calling out events that are a simple kill vet or any other very quick ending type. People get upset when these types are usually called if they can’t make it due to the event going so quickly.

6 – Learn the maps and get to know the areas where events can happen often or where the best chain events start.

7 – Never port into a map and expect others to do all the calling. I’m sure we all know the type lol. Person teleports to map and “events?” comes from them. Nothing else and not even a ty if 1 is called, nobody likes that guy lol.

8 – Added to number 7. Use your initiative/time – instead of sitting around waiting for events to be called you have 3 options for something else you could do instead:

A – Go and look for events and call them out (this can tie in well with my number 6 above).

B – Learn where the “Garden” or “farm” spot is for that map and always teleport near there and gather from it while you wait for calls. Usually by the time you get to it and gather from it a call is made by someone. By garden/farm I mean the dedicated herb gather spots. Example Queensdale is the lettuce near Beetletun.

C – Roam around and gather wood/ore/herbs while waiting for calls and looking for events. Like above you can get to know where the good spots are and teleport near there. Example in Snowden Drifts I usually port in to the South of the map. From there I run East to the strawberry patch and then I usually go a little North to the bear cave as there is always a rich Iron spot. A lot of the maps have dedicated rich mining nodes. For those that don’t they have spots where they tend to appear often enough.

Hope some of that gives people some ideas and thanks Acapela for starting the thread!

Thank you, I appreciate all your opinion’s.

I have lots to catch up. I don’t think I can do it, But I bet will be fun playing, I don’t mine to buy the expansion, I just don’t have much time to play everyday max I can play per day is 3 hours, Other thing is right now I feel like a small fish in a big ocean. I don’t know nothing about the game nothing about characters, skills and so on…

WB Lord, your 3 hours will be perfectly fine. Not only that I am seeing a lot of new players all the time asking questions and such so you wont be alone in that department. Don’t be shy (filter, seriously lol?) to ask for info in the maps, people are usually all too eager to give helpful info.

If you have the time to play then yes it’s worth coming back. There would be a ton of content for you even if you don’t buy the expansion so why not?

Most newer and more intense content de facto demands the new classes. Raiding as “core” classes will be significantly more difficult for example.

Well being that the player only played 2 days after buying the game I would say raiding would be far off for him/her. Besides that fact, there would still be a ton he/she could do even without the expansion as I stated.

But to reply specifically to what you wrote I have to say that would be a matter of personal choice as well. I have all classes at 80 with world complete and all stories done. Of course I have HOT and it’s only on about 4 or 5 of the classes that I use the Elite Specs.

I main Engi and don’t use it for if I do I lose either survivability or mobility/speed just for a small bonus of extra damage (+6 might basically on top of my typical +6 might before procs enter play). So on that class, for me not worth the loss. But like I said – player personal choice and the game is perfectly playable without HOT.

Without HoT he doesn’t even get the option to play Revenant.
Without HoT he doesn’t get any of the new ascended combinations.
Without HoT he will not have suitable endgame since that lies in HoT and slightly beyond for LS3 right now.

HoT brings a lot to the table. Not that jumping in again is impossible but you won’t get the most out of the game without really doing so since Core suffers from many of the limitations it did 4 years ago only now there are nerfs that really don’t jive well with someone who has any previous experience since the whole system has literally been revamped from the ground up and plays completely differently from it’s previous iterations.

Basically if would be like he bought it all over again. <3

Well he/she has plenty of time to decide later if he/she wants to buy HOT, It’s not like there’s a limited time to buy it. I think you are thinking too far ahead here tbh. :P

Oh I thought up another QOL thing I just posted on another thread:

Placeholders on our UI on both ours and our target’s for Boons/Conds. Sometimes you want to read the description but by the time you hover your mouse over it the list shuffles along as other Boons/Conds are added or removed. This can be so annoying at times and can feel like you are playing a game of musical chairs.

I think this change would be very helpful especially for new players and vets as well if/when any new conds/boons enter the game or just trying to refresh our memory on some of the less seen conds/boons.

This actually reminds me how much tooltips can be annoying at times, maybe the tooltips should get a little delay in appearing? Seems especially bothersome when crafting or mystic forging.

I’m pretty sure you can disable the tooltips or delay the time they display, check your settings options.

Are we talking about what shows above our char’s/enemy’s head or what is shown on the ui for ourselves/enemies?

Personally one change I would like is that Conds and Boons would have their own place holders on the UI for both ourselves and our targets. Sometimes you want to hover your mouse of the Cond/Boon to see the description of it for whatever reason. But by the time your mouse gets there it might have shuffled along simply because other Conds/Boons have been added to or removed from the list. This is especially the case at world bosses/champions when zergs are present. I find this SOOOO annoying at times lol.

Summary: Anet, please give our UI Cond/Boon placeholders! TY.

I don’t think most players find it a problem. At least, I’ve not seen too many people commenting on the feature negatively.

Which is what I’m trying to figure out. Like if you’re going to have a level down system that doesn’t actually level players down, then why even have it at all? Why not just get rid of it, and let higher level players into lower level zones, and do all the killing for lower level players. Since this is how it is anyway, it can be done without a level down system.

Well I think Anet didn’t want to go too far one way or the other. If they are too OP and have all their stats then you would not only see them 1 hitting everything in the starter zones but every other zone between starter and 80. More people would start to see it and post about it like you are.

There is a HUGE difference with the level down compared to the starter zones and the others. You can go to a starter zone and 1-2 hit most things even in PVT gear. But each map after that, as they get higher you will notice your power slowly weakens depending of course on what stats you are running and I think this is a good thing.

If they go the other way and truly even out the power of the higher levels down to the levels of those of the zone then you will have people complain they levelled up for nothing and feel it was a waste of time. These posts have been made already in the past a few times so just imagine how much that would be magnified if it was like this.

I think they made the safe bet and I also think it works pretty well. It’s only now and then I think it can be a problem. Such as during events for daily when everyone is on those maps doing the events and it can be hard to reach the event in time or get your hits in because the zergs are there. Of course this is usually made worse because most either use Zerkers gear or some other high damage. So yeah I’m not sure if it’s more a level issue or builds tbh in these cases.

I think most players are just happy to have other people around helping them do events so they just don’t see any “problem” that you are seeing. If higher level players are there helping to kill everything faster and complete the event sooner rather than later it benefits them because “more loot” and “easier loot” at that.

I guess it would not be seen as a problem unless a pretty big chunk of the player base starts to feel this way about it like you do and thus also posts. But like I said people just want to log in, kill some things for a while and make as much coin as they can with the limited time they have. That or get out of the game whatever it is they get out of it. I think you would be in a very small minority here.

I am not saying this to say there is no problem or “too bad” or whatever. I guess it’s just the way the game is designed. And if you think about it, it is designed better than most with the fact there is no kill stealing and such. So again why would people worry that others are helping to kill things faster? Nothing is taken from them, in fact (like I said above) the events are going faster so they can move on to the next.

Now what it seems you are saying is you like a good challenge to your gameplay and playing with friends who also like that same challenge. If you are looking for that in open world, you wont find it sadly. Oh there might be the odd rare case perhaps such as an out of the way champion that most people don’t bother to kill. A good example could be the champ ooze in Frostgorge, you can go there and find it up pretty often.

Perhaps what you are looking for is in the dungeons, Fractals or even Raids?

Yeah I usually don’t have problems finding names for my chars, I usually come up with some pretty cool puns or strange takes on famous chars/people.

But I had this same issue this morning when creating a new Norn Ele. And funny the OP asked the question, but no, no I don’t usually come up with names in bed I usually don’t even think about GW there lol. But strangely enough about a week ago I had just woken up and for some reason I did think of a name. I thought to myself, hmm Gandalfini could be a cool Ele name. A hybrid of sorts of Gandalf of course (and yes I know that name is used too much!) and a mix of Houdini. So I had that name in the back of my head for the past week or so.

Back to my story, I created a new Norn Ele this morning and thought the name would suit him perfectly since it sounds both silly and cool at the same time. Being he is a Norn Ele that is silly in itself so it would just add to the silliness even more. But alas it was taken. Doh, 1 of the few times I try names and it was taken. So whoever took it I say to you – Well played sir lol!

So I sat there for a second and had to think up a new silly name. Didn’t take long and one came to me and yay it was available lol. That being El Nornino. A clever mix of El Nino and Norn, since he’s a fire ele it suits him perfectly. :P

So in summary, you just have got to get clever and mix words/names/ideas etc together. Good luck everybody!

Hmmm fair enough so I wonder why this person in map chat said otherwise. Might have been a bug at their end or trolling.

I don’t mind not getting them. However the gear we did get was not wanted and not really a replacement. Exotic PVT? No ty, I played 7 chars in PVT I’m so over those slow kills lol. So I had to delete it all, can’t salvage, can’t Mystic Forge so yeah what a waste, should have let us chose our stats tbh……

So I used my booster on a new char today and did not get any lvl up rewards. Is this working as intended?

I helped a new player in map chat today who was asking questions about the game in general. I then advised him not to use his booster on his first char as he wont get the lvl up rewards. But then another player in map chat said she got hers. So which case is bugged?

have fun with your report tool. in neart future u will realize ur the reason for the small playerbase

So you call people who quit matches, afk or generally sell wins to other teams players? Yeah no ty I would rather they were gone.

Real players can actually stop playing pvp BECAUSE there are such players as these so it could be argued the small playerbase is because of all the bad apples. Either way I know which I would prefer on my team and the enemy team for that matter.

Oh boy my friend just told me the place is over run by low lvl new players. And they get direct access to HOT maps? Is this true? Are low lvl players buying this and not realizing if they leave the place they will be smack bang in the middle of a lvl 80 area?

Is this even purchasable for players who do not own HOT?

So many questions lol.

I mostly stick with defaults, but I like Shift+R to enable/disable walking speed. I already associate R with movement from the autorun command, so that was a really easy binding to get my head around.

I’m curious what other people did for the special action command, or whatever it’s called, that’s used for the new mastery against bloodstone magic. I used Numpad0, since it’s out of my normal way and relatively easy to bash when it comes up, but I’m sure there’s something better/closer I could be using.

I will probably change my “C” for this new pop up skill. But probably not until I finally unlock Auto Loot in WvW lol…

Paulytnz.7619

Oh boy I have a lot changed so I don’t know where to start lol….

W = Auto Run
A = Strafe Left
D = Strafe Right
S = Walk Back/Stop walking on a quick tap.

Caps Lock = Nearest Target – I have Sharpkeys2 installed and set to work as Right Shift so no annoying caps ever.

E = Next Target
Q – Skill 1
Tab = Heal
R = Engi Elite Toolbelt SKill
C – Auto loot (only needed in WvW)
X = Look behind (helps a lot in WvW & PvP)
Z = About turn 180 degree turn.
~ = Change Weapon
Insert = Stow Weapon
Home = Open Map
Page Up = Toggle Walk (for roleplay during those slow escort events)
F1 = Engi Toolbelt Heal/Ranger pet attack etc
F2 = Engi Toolbelt Utility 1
F3 = Toolbelt Utility 2
F4 = Toolbelt Utility 3
F5 = Open Inventory
F6 = Open Hero Page
F7 = Open Pet Panel
F8 = I forget lol.
F9 = Open Char Select
Up Arrow = Glide Forward
Mouse Wheel Click = Dodge
Mouse 1 (left side of mouse) = Utility 1
Mouse 2 =( left side of mouse 2) Utility 2
Mouse 3 = (right side of mouse) Utility 3
Mouse 4 = (right side of mouse 2) Elite
Mouse 5 = (just south of mouse wheel) Toggle Action Cam
Mouse 6 = (just south of the button south of the wheel lol) I can’t change this action but it gives me the option to cycle through 2 more mouse button changes so I can turn those buttons into a possible other 10 more actions. This may come in use in the future but I try not to mess with it.

And I think that’s it lol, a lot more than I have for GW but pretty similar. I wanted it to be similar to GW so I could switch between the 2 and not be too confused. However there I have Spacebar for attack. Which of course is jump here so that takes some getting used to….

Ley Line Gliding

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Paulytnz.7619

Paulytnz.7619

When the update for living world three happened, it was easy to see that ley line gliding was important.

I was saving my mastery points not knowing what ones would be most beneficial to me. I thought, ok it was time to spend my precious points on this….So I did.

I later found out you could buy this with out much of an effort. I understand that the Ley Line that can be bought is for only in Bloodstone Fen. Still, had I know this, I may have well spent my few points that I had on something else.

Not really a big complaint, but I wish I had all the facts before I spent 16 points.

The best part of the gliding line is the advanced for that unlimited gliding so you still have that. That’s not to say the Ley Line is useless because it’s not. Even in Bloodstone Fen it helps to have it. One good example is going for the SW Mastry Point. If you fail and have to give it another shot you can WP back to the nearest WP sure. But with the Ley Line you have the extra option of running back about halfway and using the Ley Line to get back up.

This is also handy if you are gliding around above for the Bloodstone rocks and drop too low or out of reach of one. NP just hit that Ley Line and you are back up there in a jiffy! No need to waste 1 silver and opening your map to use that WP every time.

Trust me, in time you will get plenty more mastery points and will not miss the 16 you spent. In fact from what I read on this forum that map brought in something between 7-11 so that’s not too far off the 16.

Time to reconsider rewards

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Paulytnz.7619

Paulytnz.7619

i knew gw2 would suffer like this from the beginning, you cant build an mmo on purely cosmetic rewards

thats why runescape and wow are still going strong after 10+ years and gw2 is struggling after 2, there is nothing to reward us with,

we will need something to LEVEL UP, if not main level then atleast something to work towards that ISNT COSMETIC

15 year Vet here from Runescape and from what I hear it is doing very badly right now. I mean come on they have a subscription AND microtransactions talk about getting greedy….

What keeps people playing that game is a numerous amout of things such as:

1 – The massive grind (I have most skills at 99 and a lot of them were done way back in classic which was a lot harder). Even tho the current RS is a lot easier than it used to be, the grind is still real due to how many skills there are and the share amount of exp/time you need to level them. People are addicted to that grind and delude themselves that its fun, believe me I used to be one of them. I mean hey it’s the game you play while doing other stuff to take the boredom away right? Such as watch TV or movies while sitting there for 2-10 hours smithing for no where near close to just 1 level.

2 – Variety in things to do. It’s not just combat, sure most of the other things are in the skills and levelling those skills such as fishing, mining, crafting etc. But they also have a lot more mini games than here. Not only that but a lot of them are pretty fun to play and can be regarded as their own games in their own right. Castle wars being one (well it was back in the day) there was also that army one which I forget the name of now. I was addicted to that for a while and it’s probably the only thing I miss about that game tbh.

3 – Loot. That game has a pretty good loot system. I would not say better or worse than here because it’s just too different. But in a lot of ways it is better. Not purely because you get more as such but more in the fact in the variety. It’s not linier like here as in all mobs drop weps/armours. There are also nice rare drops that particular mobs drop that keep you killing those or give you the incentive to.

4 – No Diminished Returns. You can park your char in a spot for hours and keep on killing. You are not punished for it, in fact this is how you level in that game. The quests are bad for exp and rewards, they are more for the “fun” or to tell the story that previously did not exist in that game.

There are probably more reasons that keep people playing that game such as it’s free and had low comp spec requirements for a long time. Heck it was a Java game after all and totally playable just in a browser for the longest time but that has only just changed now.

You can’t compare this game to that and seriously we do NOT want this game to turn in to that believe me lol. Well besides the fact that this game could do with more gameplay modes besides combat/story all the time….oh and I would like a similar loot system but that is not to say the loot system here is bad or too good. It’s just…….boring.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

If the loot was too good and we were all swimming in wealth don’t you think we would ALL be swimming in legendary’s by now? That’s not the case.

If prices on things such as silk, ectos etc are a bit on the low side don’t stress about it. Save them or use them. You don’t have to worry about not making as much cash off them as you usually do. Why do I say this? Well because if what you say is true and drops are far too good now, we are all swimming in cash now right? So why even bother about the prices of things, get out there and bash things!

I found the easiest way to beat the last boss is to get the buff, activate it and run right at him, through him to the other side. Stand there as long as the skill lasts and you should be right next to another bloodstone. Rinse and repeat, just keep running through him with the buff (it will constantly damage him) and you can also attack with your weapons/skills to kill him even faster.

Nodes on L80 maps

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Paulytnz.7619

I see 1 problem with your idea, that being tools. Sure it won’t be an issue for people with the unlimited tools. However those without will have to carry multiple sets and have to switch to the right ones all the time or waste their Mith/Ori tools on the lower tier nodes.

It was a pain for me before I bought my unlimited tools. I got sick of swapping Mith to Ori even when I came up to the Ancient/Ori Nodes so in the end I just stuck with Ori tools, yes I know such a waste but convenience…
Not so sure I (or others) would want to use their Mith or Ori tools on lower lvl nodes even if those materials are worth more than Mith/etc. It’s just a mindset I guess lol.

I wish they would just give us some sort of a fair trading system so we can make greater use of all the Mith/Elder we get. Example – a NPC who trades us xx amount of Iron ore for xxx amount of Mith etc. Something like this could be more simple to add and less of a headache for the players.

That or something I have suggested before – let us downgrade materials in the mystic forge. At the moment we can upgrade them so why not a downgrade?

I feel the gliding battle now likes playing Kraken of Evolve Stage 2.XD
Maybe remove gliding skill 4(skill 5 owned dodge effect) , and add a new skill that have stun effect will be fine.

Better yet, add a skill to keep us in the air longer – almost no dropping. Air combat in Perfectworld was pretty good, It was basically just the same as land being that you could hover.
