Just laugh, thank them for the free kill. If you are in sPvP, harass them endlessly, force them to leave the room so REAL PvPers will join and fight. Mesmers are great for messing with the “duelers” in sPvP.

Dueling is not PvP…it is phalus waving ego boosting only. If they held dueling tournaments it would actually mean something, as it stands…it is pointless. Join the team and fight.

Rangers have more room (lore wise) for crossbows.

Id like too see a rifle on my thief though, gw2 is lacking a long range single target dps weapon set – ie a sniper!

Warrior rifle = long range single target dps weapon set. There is your sniper.

Ranger doesn’t need any new weapons for anys pecific reason, as has beens tated already…axe is med range multi-target, shortbow is flanking and condition based dps, and longbow is long range (using axe and lb and swapping abck and forth is one way to just trash people or mobs by knowing your skills and using what you need for the time rather than what you want to use for looks).

Everyone arguing for rifle is doign so for the looks of it, not to solve any missing function…which is the primary reason it will NEVER happen. Stop arguing for rifles…argue to fix the longbow instead.

Champion count as a Veteran in daily

How about they make it so champs always drop something decent first…champs aren’t worth the trouble as it is…it’s a tough fight (or simply a long/tedious one) when the drop rates from a champ are the same as a normal mob. Why waste the time/effort when you can kill 20-25 normal mobs for the same chance at loot you get from the champ?

Than there is another irony, it is easier to find champs than it is veterans in some maps. Which may be why it is specified.

Unfortunately they designed the thief improperly and culling is making it worse. Any clase with stealth should have no means of increasing their speed (stealth is your defensive measure, runnign away froma fight should not be an option, stealthing and losing your pursuer should be, not flat out running). Due to culling, their initiative based stealth skills need the cost increased (8 initiative should do nicely to prevent spam of it, don’t want this touched? demand they fix culling so it is impossible to exploit).

Then there is another problem of the fact that they test their changes on a private server, not a public one. You don’t experience culling when you have a hundred employees on a private server on the level we experience when a wvw map is near full.

Sure, thieves are working fine in sPvP…there is no room to run away and no culling. In WvW there is room to run (which every thief does the moment you interupt them once) and culling causes them to have free stealth.

Honestly the best change they can do is that if anyone stealths, they cannot stealth again for 20 seconds. Make thieves use stealth more tactically rather than spamming it as most of them do now.

Yes I have a thief, P/P and SB, don’t need stealth to win my battles. People truly facepalm when they die to a thief that doesn’t touch or have a single stealth skill on their bar.

Any thief that needs stealth, or uses stealth, is using a crutch. You aren’t good at the class if you rely on a broken mechanic…any thief that doesn’t admit that stealth is broken right now is just trying to keep their ability to grief those hwo literally cannot see them due to culling. Any thief saying “well aoe spam” is also just an idiot, ANet is nerfing aoe across the board.

Making underpopulated Maps more attractive

They need to reduce the gold flow in dungeouns, and increase it in open world.
They also need to make everything that is in fractals…in the openw orld. Fractals is one of the largest reasons maps feel so dead.

You will never get the ability to change skill color, they are goign for e-sport status which means abilities need to be easily identified by the class…the classes are very obviously color coded to help wih this.

3rd Soldier - Reaper

Chances are they will add new utility skills or races before a new class.

That said, a soldier wears heavy armor, a scythe requires one be free to move to even attempt to weild properly, this rather cancels each other out.

Also, branks/marks and enchantments do not function properly for this style of game. Take a look at current mechanics, no AoE buff or debuff lasts that long. Most stacks of might you can give others and not attack? guardian channel (rooted in place, unable to defend themselves) 12 stacks if allies stay in range. Instant stacks? 3. Your aoe mark to give might stacks while on your attack would have to last 10 seconds tops and only work with attack 1 no other skills. Also of note, no buffs in the game follow the player unless traited, thus your enchantments owuld need to be ground targetted and you must stay in that area. Buffs on players? Limited duration and limited numbers, especially if you use large numbers for the damage or healing.

Next issue, ANet has made a point to state that only soldiers can use mace/hammer…thus this class needs to use it as well. Give up on melee staff, they designs staff for purely magical fighting. No scythes in game and if they add the scythe expect it to show up on other classes (warrior, necro, maybe ranger too) so design a class with the weapons available, it makes it more likely to be taken seriously…and yes I get you are trying to do this as a revamp for the GW1 class but really, nigh everythign it could do is already covered.

Next, the stance swapping is already covered by current proffessions, only you added in far too powerfull of buffs ontop of it (really? giving the stance the warrior utility skill “fear me!” as an activation?). Seriously if you wanted to make a dervish style of profesion skill than having it be an adrenaline style bar but it only fills up when you dodge attacks or are advancing (moving forward, strafing doesn’t count) and decreases as you stand still with certain bonuses depending on where the bar is (higher attack if its full, higher defenses if it’s empty for example).

The idea here is to be unique, be obviously balanced, and be within current gameplay (no buffs last all that long unless it is an elite skill or elite trait, 30 points deep, and is built on fast responsive/reflexive combat).
Also do not stray into another profesion’s area, the ranger is about pets/beasts, warrior is heavy melee, thief is about stealth, mesmer is about misdirection, necro undeath, guardian buffs, ele is elemental magic, engineer is mechanical weapons.

Want some hints for new areas to stray into? Time magic, psionics, poison based (miasmic, aka a pure debuffer rather than misdirection as the mesmer does), druidic nature magic that is plant focused rather than the beast focused ranger style, fate based (which your vows do rather well I might add, I was intruiged and impressed by that idea), lay lines, a magic/power based as an antithis of the crystal branded, pure wind based magic that doesn’t involve lightning…as some examples that aren’t covered at all or very well in current professions.

The dervish is, more or less just a weapon specialist (warrior) with some divine/faith based magic (guardian). It is not likely to show up again even remotely like it was due to design philosophies this time around and the need for every skill to be active/reflexive in nature.

Equip “shake it off” take the trait that auto uses “shake it off”.
Warriors are damage machines, tanks, and even healers WHILE being damage machines and/or tanks.
Conditions are our weakness, our achilles heal. Rely on others to take care of what shake it off doesn’t.

Realistically it should not be discipline if it is added into a trait line. It should be defense or tactics as they are defensive lines (removing conditions is a purely defensive action and all other condition removal traights are linked to the toughness line for other classes).

WTF with p/p advices? I’m using THREE exo pistols and shield, also rifle too at the same time (changing it depends on situation), so leave your LOL-advices to noobs, OK?
I’m playing Engi since pre-release, playing massive battles mostly.

I’m talking about WvW only, I dont care about “cutted game for fun under beer” (sPvP), I’m absolutely didnt care about “game for carebears” (PvE).
Only WvW, only massive PvP that’s a real game.

And I’m wondering why ppls from “cultural countries” loving so much to put their useless advices everywhere, didnt even read nicks and signs and no trying to think – “Hey, maybe he is experienced Engi? I will not posting my lol-advices here!”

Elem able to deal 3-5k damage with one click? in one second. After that – another “3-5k click” and so on. And for 5 targets with ONE hit to each.
And what Engi? 3k damage with all buffs/stacks and only after 2,5 sec? Only to 3 targets with billion hits to each?

Whare is youyr brain guys? If you didnt ever plays another classes – do not think that all around are same and playing only one class, ok?

I use the flamethrower in WvW mate, and I’m pattentedly saying that I do just fine as is racking up kills and surviving. Nothing to brag about (people bragging in WvW are basically like being 1st in the special olympics, at the end of the day you are still very very slow…it is zerg on zerg combat in any meaningful battle in WvW) but also nothing to complain about.

You’ve been playing engi how long and only manage 3k damage with all buffs? Every class can crank 5k hits if you build glass cannon while using the weapon designed for it(here’s a hint, to do that with an engineer you DON’T use flamethrower). The problem here must be that the fire belching weapon you like the looks of just isn’t built around spike damage, it is built around consistent damage. Use the weapons for what they are built for…this is like guardian or warrior complaining that hammers don’t attack fast enough.

Also a hint, I didn’t attack you. You just tried (while failing miserably) to attack me, virtually ensuring that the devs never take you seriously.

I however do agree with the other poster that flamethrower should not be so easy to dodge, the spray either needs to be wider, or have increased damage to compensate for how easily dodged it is currently. Barring that, it needs better tracking.

You are also quite right, the engineer is incredibly powerful when in the right hands.

Put your turrets in interesting locations and people don’t look for them even though they are being taken out by them (rocket turrets and rifle turrets are great for keeping a downed player from self healing).

Elixer specialists, and the elixer gun itself, can be used to support any build…or can even be your focus and you can increase the abilities of your entire team (mind you the effects being rather random) or you can even opt to not use the elixer gun for favor of the healing kit to help your allies even farther.

It is even possible to build for both the flamethrower and the elixer gun, swapping between the two of them as needed with NO COOLDOWN. This gives you 3 weapon loadouts with no cooldown to swap between them, allowing the engineer to have flexability in fitting to any situation that an elementalist can only dream of. Usually I run the world with my flamethrower, charr shout, and elixer heal/elixer buffs acting like a warrior setting fire to the world. If I know ahead of time I am walking into a rough situation, I dump the elixer buff and grab the elixer gun so I can swap between damage burn and support ont he fly at any time with no cooldown (which is what ele’s suffer from).

Sure, engi damage is not as burst as others, it is however consistent (especially with the flamethrower) and our support capability is impressive, especially if you know when to use what.

If you run with a flamethrower, than equip a pistol and shield (you will get shield bonus to armor in your stats even while holding the flamethrower). As the flamethrower is a tanker style of play, they just assumed you would actually equip the shield it seems.
Right or not, it is just what I notice din the stat spread.

The “we earned it this way” people forget something big, this is an MMO, it must change if what it reflects is not what it should be.

Should those of us that finished the original glitched HotW dungeoun demand everyone else have their rewards removed for getting to play the “easy” version? (if you did not know, the first month the game was live p2 and p3 of HotW had the underwater bosses doing double the damage they do now per hit)

Seriously people, you are basically saying that anything that any individual has accomplished should never be changed even if it is broken and should be fixed or be made more obtainable. Which is everything in the game before the 4th patch went live almost.

Those complaining about uniqueness, grow up and look around…you are only unique if you mix/match your armor in a unique way. Wearing an entire set of the armor…you are one of the crowd. This isn’t prestigious armor by any means…all it shows is you were willing to grind yourself silly to afford it. At any point in LA you will see 10+ people wearing T3 (usually much more honestly)…if this was prestigious armor you would be lucky to see one. Prestigious armor would have a number limit in place, only so many people can get it before it will no longer be available…anything else and it is no longer prestigious, it is nigh always a grind or luck based (precursors for legendaries fit this deffinition perfectly too).

As for the “I want to be a special snowflake” crowd…how you dye the armor will be more unique than the armor itself unless you mix and match peices from multiple sets, and anyone mix and matching will admit to seeing people copy them if they get a good look after a few days of running around.

"Guild Wars" 2

One inherent problem, guild structure has been undermined witht he way guilds are handled in this game. You can belong to more than one. What is stopping people from repping one guild that is attacking another they belong to, and that guild offers them something in tells mid fight to get them to swap reps and thus swap sides? (yes you can switch what guild you rep in the middle of combat if you did not know)

Guild loyalty in this game is far lower than in other games because you never have to really “leave” a guild, you just swap who you rep and never rep them again. You don’t have to leave and be guildless for a period of time, or stick it out with that guild and “play nice” untill you find a new guild to take you right away, because if you don’t “play nice” the guild is likely to boot you and thus leave you guildless.

They need to remove the ability to jump between guilds before they verhaul the system that would make true guild wars possible.

Question:

If you put a cap on crit damage achievable (Some suggestions of 60% or 5% per piece of armour in this thread) then what stop everyone and their cat hitting the cap with glass cannon gear and then using the REST of their gearslots to put in tanky stats?

As doing this would mean that Glass Cannons would be doing max damage without having to lose out on defences (They’d remove the Glass out of the “Glass Cannon” while your capping of the Crit bonus is removing the Cannon)

However, ArenaNet has said more than once infact that glass cannon builds are out of hand.
My suggestion was the pvp suggestion, allow toughness to be able to be stacked enough to make a glass cannon worthless. Toughness still gives the weakness to condition damage making it a choice on who you wish to be weak to. This also creates a niche for balanced builds, being neither worthless against any specialty build while also not having any huge advantages.

I love how the OP is like “this isn’t a toughness thread” no it is about trying to create a balance.

We do NOT want a pvp stat in this game, yet zerker builds I see ruining pvp fun with various 2-3 shot mechanics. So have toughness (NOT armor, this is specifically toughness) reduce crit chance on enemies. Have vitality reduce enemy crit bonus damage. This allows people who opt to play tanky to do so without any artificially increased stats.

Pve…zerkers is not a problem, my balanced build does equivilant damage to them over the course of a dungeoun/fight, and I have had many zerker warriors watch as I just let enemies and heavy boss attacks hit me on occasion and walk away with a laugh while that same enemy puts them a hair from death, after a run usually get asked questions on my build and stat spread by zerker wars. A balanced build that hits hard is not hard to do for some proffessions. Yet these same builds are impossible to pull off in spvp due to limitations of stats (yet, amusingly, a near perfect copy of zerker stats is available in runes).

Bifrost Effect Animation needs Repair

It must be a culling issue then, or…are the people you’ve talked to all elementalists? Remember that yoru class gives you an aura effect already (around your hands) that may be clashing witht he effect of bifrost as each aura tries to sit ontop of the other one. Certain elementalist skills also act as an aura. Play around with skills to see if you can force the aura to flicker, it could help them in fixing it.

Legendary Dye

Any “midnight” dye reflects the colors of those around it, though it can be hard to notice depending on the color of the midnight dye.
Abyss and Celestial dyes reflect the colors around them more cleanly, abyss looks like molten lava when you are near lava, looks like the armor is frosted over with ice when you walk around snowy areas. Celestial totally changes colors as you walk through forests and can be absolutly amazing to see the color shifts while underwater.

These dyes are already in the game. No reason to be a walking texture WoW clone of molten armor that is always bubbling and the like (the flame legion armor is bad enough).

Fairly sure that has less to do with the dye and more to do with the material of your armor. Metal materials are shiny and reflect lighting. Putting on celestial on leather and walking through ambient lighting doesn’t get you these effects.

Works on metal armor and light armor just fine. Works on leather armor with less of an effect, but this too depends on the leather armor in question as many have a texture layer upont he surface that dulls colors. The popular “duelist” leathers being one of those that dulls color lighting.

What makes them powerful IS the crit damage boost, the only way to limit them is to severely limit that damage boost. Realistically it should be capped at 25% (5 armor peices, 5% per peice). This creates a need to build more balanced, especially if you increase toughness’ ability to reduce damage.

A larger problem is the fact that bezerker build increases damage far more than direct power builds can ever achieve. In a balanced game, rely on straight damage should always have a larger net damage yeild, yet with current state of GW2…it is far more beneficial to be zerker build with raw crit damage being your primary source of damage.

Increase toughness so that people can actually tank a few large hits if need be, give us any other option than glass cannon to be noticable and people will build in other ways. Right now, zerkers is capable of TOO much damage for hardly any negatives.

Seriously, go full out toughness build, run some dungeouns, go full zerkers, run some dungeouns. The amount of damage mitigated in full toughness is not nearly enough for the amount of damage potential lost.

Bifrost Effect Animation needs Repair

All legendary auras turn off when you aren’t actually holding it. It is a combat only effect.

Bifrost is glowing raw light, of course it is less noticable in bright light…that is the point. The bifrost is the name of the rainbow bridge in norse mythology…a bridge of pure light, so it makes sense that something of pure light is harder to notice while in bright light conditions.

You want to hurt glass cannons?

Make toughness have a bigger effect on the ability to mitigate damage, lower boss hp totals, keep boss damage.

Cap bonus crit damage at 15% anything over that is wasted, no benefit from it AT ALL.

There you go, glass cannon is now properly in line with everyone else.

agreed. i was just looking onthe wiki to see if there was a “mists” dagger (with the purple glow like whisperblade) but it doesn’t look like there is

i’m working on incinerator and want a cool looking flaming dagger for my offhand as well.

Falling Damage Onto Water

I think the problem is that there are a lot of very very high up areas that are specifically designed so you can jump down into a body of water below. Areas that even with 1/2 the damage of a ground fall would still kill you.

I do wish they would add a diving animation though. I hate that my character belly flops onto the water and then magically submerges.

There is a diving animation (well, I have never seen an asura or charr do one yet, though I refuse to play Asura as they come across as a race full of brats…being I hate kids…well…there you go) the animation only plays however if your weapon is sheathed and you run intto the water off a beach…and event hen it’s like a 1 out of 5 times thing.

It is a “prestige” to buy something now?
You did not earn it, you did not do some amazing skill challenge, you simply grinded away on something, or got lucky with a precursor drop and got your money.

They need to make dungeouns so you cannot skip things, really money is not hard to come by with the AC skip runs being so prevelent. I refuse to do them, so yes I have less cash, but there is a serious problem with dungeouns being this rewarding and there beign no time-equivilent method of gaining that money int he open world. If you can ear 2g/half hour in a dungeoun, that must be obtainable int he open world for the same ammount of effort (hint, dungeouns arent that hard if you simply run easy paths).

Why can nobody in MMO’s anymore put in any kind of effort for rewards. They are priced that high for a reason, they are the “legendary” armor, the “hardest” set to get. It is done that way so you don’t see hundreds of players running around in it like you saw with CoF back towards release. I’m a casual player, I have played the game for 708 hours since release and I’ve got myself a full T3 set and 170g left over (I admit I got lucky and got a precursor which I sold), but that was after I brought my T3 and spent around 35g on buying enough gems to purchase 3 more character slots and no I don’t play the TP or anything like that.

As for the stats, they are not designed to have the best stats, they are for looks, they are the some of the best armor looks in the game and that’s why they cost so much, not because of their stats.

Besides it’s too late to change them now as a lot of people have already spent near 120g getting their set, so for Anet to turn around now and lower the price isn’t fair on the people that’s already brought it for a higher price.

If you want the best looking rewards, be prepared to work for them! I’m not trying to be mean, but can you not see that some things are suppose to be worked for? I farmed the money for T3, I didn’t moan about it, I got on with it and felt so much more enjoyment and reward when I reached enough money to purchase it.

I always laugh when people use the argument that it would be unfair for those who already have done the work.

In that case MMO’s should never be updated, ever. Really, listen to that argument. If it is suddenly easier to make money, that means it is now easier to get the T3. Are you going to cry that people aren’t putting forth as much effort as you?
What about the fact that I completed several solo champ kills that have now been nerfed? Should I now look at everyone else finally killing these events as lessers that aren’t “putting fortht he work” that I had to do?

You did the work, you got your armor before everyone else, that is your reward. Don’t cry if they somehow make it easier on others. You’ve enjoyed the armor for awhile now.

By use of your logic, the game should never have any bug fixed if even a single player managed to accomplish the event/feat/puzzle/whatever while it was bugged as it now makes what that person accomplished somehow lesser.

Adopting Diablo 3’s Rune System into GW2

In short, no.

They are after e-sport status. This means attacks must be broadcast and identifyable at a near glance. An orb of light will always be the same, have the same effect, have the same visual.

If you alter a skill, the skill would need a different visual to signify immediately to anyone that sees it exactly what you have done to it. You also cannot alter the primary function of a weapon. A mace is survivability, swords are for mobility, etc. You cannot give control to the mace and alter it’s designated role…a mace is for survivability, you can do nothing to it that alters this role or allows it farther capability.
E-sports is very simplified, when you see a weapon you know what basic tenants the individual will have…a mace user is outlasting you, trying to block your big attacks while wearing you down. A greatsword user is trying to kill you before you can kill them. Axe users are trying to deal with large numbers and high crit damage.

You cannot change this, you cannot alter this. Any customization or alteration of the weapons defeats the very purpose they are for.

And, quite honestly, it is BETTER this way. Balance can happen faster and be maintained when players do not have the ability to mess with the direct damaging abilities.

Change How Weapons Effect Skills

The set skills for a weapon makes people make choices based on how they want to play rather than pure aesthetics. I also laugh as many people pick their weapons for looks rather than how they want to play.

If you want to be tanky, don’t grab a sword or axe, grab a mace and shield. Stop trying to build for aesthetics with your weapons. Build for your playstyle.

Bosses SHOULD be able to be stunned and dazed, knocked around. They are bloody HP sponges right now. Let us have some laughs by stun locking the boss for 15 seconds if we co-ordinate well enough.

Heres a hint, if you have to spend 5 minutes fighting a boss…then the designers failed at the fight design. Optimally fighting a boss should guarentee the boss is down in 3 minutes. Long fights are not hard, only a hassle. If the fight lasts longer it is 99% likely that it is only because of the hp the boss has is at rediculous levels. All bosses need a weakness that if one can exploit knocks them down hard and fast. Like allowing a heavy attack to hit you so you get charged by the attack by the bosses power, hit the boss before the charge wears off and you do a guarenteed 10% of the bosses health in damage (this supports toughness/vit builds thus getting us away from glass cannon builds).

ANYTHING to change current dungeouns into less of a kitten slugfest of boring.

Have you ever lite a sword on fire and swung it? It sounds like wind with a slight crackle…pretty much like what it does now. Technically the sword would go out with skill one (aka hundred blades) due to the speed of the swings.

Create a build that is flexable, not a build for a single fight.

Having to change skills and such on a fight by fight basis will-kill-the-game.
If they give us the ability to change traits on the fly, they have to create fights that force you to do so. Thus adding a level of craptastic tot he game that they got away from by not continuing it from GW1 in the first place.

Choice: Disable Traits to get Stats.

Not going to work.

The Warrior Tactics minor traits are widely considered useless. Disabling all of them would give a Warrior up to 45% Boon Duration and 450 Vitality, which is obviously broken.

Were useless.

With the changes to dungeouns and the need to revive people…Warriors now need to stop going “I’m here for damage” and start thinking “I’m here for damage and to pick people off the ground”.

That said, the might to everyone after reviving needs boosted…it is a single stack for 25 points into the line…VERY lackluster.

1stly, if this is a problem for you, thent he solution is to carry condition remal utility skills. If that makes youw hine about takign longer to kill things…guess what? It take you FAR longer to kill things when you keep dying or nearly dying due to conditions. This is about efficiency. Use proper utilities that are DEFENSIVE in nature to keep down time to a minimum and you will be surprised how much FASTER you kill things. Thus, efficiency.

Also, MilitiaMasterV…I run with shake it off utility slotted, banner cd, empower allies, banner regen, and just keep a single banner around (if you drop the banner every time it is off cd you only don’t have the banner up for 4 seconds) thus the primary buff you give out is the constant heal that is stronger than healing turret. You can run with 2 banners and offset their uses by 30 seconds if you are determined to keep the heal up 24/7 though. No real need for 3 banners, it’s like being a buffer in any other game, switch out your banner skills to fit the party or the fight, if you use nothign but buffs you end up hampering yourself in a significant way.

I’ve never seen a war build without shake it off slotted on the utility bar that didn’t have a weakness against conditions.

Fun doesn't have to be hard

The speed at which players and enemies are killed affect the “fun” or engagement factor but it doesn’t make it. Better scaling is the first step in making is the first step, the next and probably most difficult one is revamping enemy encounters so that they’re actually interesting and “fun” to fight.

Case in point, GW1 instances were very well designed and scaled (technically power plateaus early on), so people naturally had “fun” running them continuously.

Speak for yourself, for every person who had “fun” there was another who thought it was nothing but a tedious grind and totally “un-fun”.

Increasing the challenge does not increase the fun. Case in point…the dungeoun changes. MANY new players to dungeouns are being kicked simply because people “can’t bother to explain a fight” and it takes too bloody long to get a downed person on their feet. If they wanted to stop the glass cannon builds than they could have made toughness have a marked improvement in damage reduction. When is the last time anyone has seen a full toughness build (every peice of gear had toughness as the top stat)?

Enemies in general need hp cut across the board. It is not fun sitting and having to dodge like crazy an enemy when they do not have to do the exact same thing to survive OUR attack. It would be far more enguaging and fun if npcs went down as fast as us (yes this includes champs) and instead had to rely ont heir own ability to dodge/mitigate damage pro-actively instead of just being walking hp sponges.

SPvP skins for PvE use

There actually are sets in sPvP that at this moment are completely unavailable in PvE.
Note there are specific peices of armor in sPvP that also are glitched and looking like a copy of another peice of gear (several medium helmets come to mind as having the exact same hat where as they should be different).

That oily shine is 1 of 2 things, the light of the area you are in (the oily sheen in the dye window tends to not show up in the active world remember) or the color of your skin, do remember that sylvari armor uses the skin tone of the sylvari as a non-changable color in the armor.

People bounced servers too often, the fact it bit some people is a good thing.

It should be gem store based however on paying to swap servers…at which point it is a small matter to farm some gold to buy gems to swap servers.

Hell just let us use our skills while midair, andyone that’s drilled to swing a sword or an axe would be able to do it while falling too. Just have it deal less damage.

The black market in LA should sell cultural armor of other races at increased cost (so a set of T3 not of your race would be around 150g instead of 120g for example).

No problem exists? I beg to differ… Norn Tier 2 Medium for Males is bare chested… Tier 1 Heavy is a bit inappropriate for a female as well.

I take it you’ve never played or seen a female Asura/Charr wear the barbarian armor have you? or pitfighter? They wear the male version …which is bare chested! The female charr just shows fur, the asura female had an extra peice of cloth around the midsection, that is it.

Any other problems? They already saw the issues from other bare chested male armors and just allowed an extra peice to exist for the asura while the charr has fur and isn’t a problem.

Not sure why it matters? People can join guilds from other servers, play on 2 other servers for 24 hours at a time. For PvE, servers really do not matter, so knowing someone is a guest doesn’t matter either.

On top of this, you can do dungeouns with people from other servers…servers really only matter when it comes to low population zones in PvE.

You’re kidding right? Anet has a blog post up every 5 days communicating about changes and ideas in development.

You call that communication?

When a patch happens, have you ever read ANets patch notes? They are pathetic!
Rift, WoW, Aion, hell go back to DAoC, EQ, UO…every patch notes contained EVERY change to the game. If the math changed on an attack, the change was given, if an attack was increased in speed, it was stated.
Can you list every single change of the last patch? Bet you can’t.
The patch notes ANet releases are barely the surface of what changes. The Wiki is rarely correct either, I routinely find changes not mentioned in either location.

Then there is another large problem, ANet routinely posts to facebook and twitter things that should show up upon the main website first. Nothing that is posted anywhere, should be left off the main website, that is what having a website is for. I should not have to check other locations to figure out what is going on with the game, ever.

Anet has proven they cans et limits for items (can’t sell items for less than they are worth) why not forcably limit the top end as well? THAT would slow the run away economy right down.

Lowering the cost of things like T3 also would be a good idea.

Unique Skills for Legendary and Named Weapons

Why would I choose a skillset I like and want it altered in any way?

The ONLY thing that should happen is the visual appearance changes. Example…as an axe warrior, using the legendary axe should cause my skills (including the offhand unless it is anothe rlegendary IMO) to have ice trails and the like instead of the orange effects, the whirlwind leaving behind ice, etc.
If you have the legendary dagger (which is essentially a butane lighter) than your attacks already cause a purely cosmetic fire on the enemy. This kind of thing should be extended to all legendaries.
