Because bugs should be fixed. Big or small, breaking or no. Not every bug warrants the effort and cost, but ideally all SHOULD be fixed.

Maybe you can’t be counted for the achievement if you hang back from the room. There is probably a trigger here involving you entering an area and staying there, or getting involved in combat (less likely)

It is better to target the furthest mob. The engine draws a line straight from the center of your character to the center of the target and continues to entend out from there. A hit counts on any enemy that the line passes through. When an enemy is close, it projects as a target over a wider angle of fire than one that is further away, so you are likely to hit it even if you aren’t aiming directly at it. The same is not true when one is distant.

Historically, we’re approaching the time of the Bazaar of the Four Winds, where we trade in a ton of trash items to get something hopefully better. That trash used to be candy corn. Right now, tiny snowflakes are the ridiculously oversupplied commodities. So I expect a bunch of players are making a bet on whether or not the Bazaar returns this year, which is looking increasingly good with Lions Arch finally getting back on its feet.

This is already happening. The Embroidered Coin Purse (darling of the Silverwastes farm) has a proclivity for dropping five particular weapon skins:

• Arc
• Bonetti’s Rapier
• Rockweed Spire
• Cutthroat Caller
• Impaler

Bonetti’s shows it best, but they all follow a basic pattern: a spike in price around September followed by a hard drop by November. Bonetti’s in particular is tied to the ever popular Superior Sigil of Bloodlust , which also took a dive around November. The increase in supply of Bonetti’s Rapiers was quickly counterbalanced by players salvaging them for the Sigil. Supply increased, demand and prices fell.

The niche of the GW1 green is “named weapon, max stats with interesting skin, dropped by one particular boss (or set of creatures in DoA)”. Exotic weapon drops are the GW2 equivalent.

Unfortunately, the combat system actually encourages stacking, or at the very least staying in a fairly tight formation while you move. Support skills tend to have short ranges.

Average GW1 run loot: 8 worthless whites, 4 different types of worthless trophies, and maybe 2 blues and a purple if you were lucky. Yeah. Absolutely nothing like what we have now.

To me, “good loot” is any drop that is useful to my character(s). Unfortunately, 90% of the loot in GW2 is either:

Merchant fodder
Salvage fodder

Crafting materials are about the most useful things monsters drop, but without a reliable method of farming specific materials, it becomes more efficient to farm gold, and buy the materials/finished item from the trading post.

Funny thing, is that this was how GW1 played out.

This is because there are no skins for those weapons in that set. It’s incomplete. The only existing skin that is missing from that vendor is the Guild Speargun.

There’s 3 “guild” shields:

• Guild Shield (from guild weaponsmith)
• Guild Tower Shield (from commendation vendor)
• Guild Defender (random drop)

That one is a little weird. There are shields from two different sets, plus the exotic shield that also shows your guild logo. Overall, I don’t think there’s anything there that needs fixed. :/

With only 5 legends, the interactions might be manageable. However, as
you add Legends (and there should be more coming down the road), you have to acccount for interactions with all the prior ones. This grows exponentially, and makes the work unfeasible in the long run if you don’t plan extensively.

Which sucks, because I really like this idea.

Last time I saw Final Rest it was only about 4-5g. I don’t know why there is a big deal about it. It’s a pretty nifty skin, but not terribly rare.

2. There isn’t much incentive for the casual player to go after the Treks, but it does behoove a guild leader to do so. These are relatively easy to accomplish and give Guild Merits, which let you unlock better things. Think of them as an intermediate level task.

Last night about 3:30 AM, we were severely short in our FGS map; had maybe 20-30 players compared to the usual full map army. We killed him with 20 seconds to go. No unnecessary champ farming; no ignoring attacks because you’ve got more players than the Claw can hurt at once. Apparently ol’ Jormag just doesn’t scale.

Pretty sure you’ve hit it on the head. The devs have been strongly hinting at Sylvari-exclusive content since announcing HoT, and the image shows Ventari standing firm amidst the vines of Mordremoth. I think we’re going to hear about things happening on a psychological front with the Sylvari.

I was going to say that not much of LS1 was structured in a way that would work as a 5-man instance. I got through the chapters up to Dragon Bash listing out the things that would work before I realized there actually is quite a bit that can be isolated off for single-use/5-man parties. You’d still have to miss out on a lot of overworld events and tasks that wouldn’t feel right in isolation, but you could still do a lot of the early story fights.

The problem comes in during the last 3-5 chapters of the first season, where everything was full-map and simultaneous, on the level of Triple Trouble or harder. These fights and events weren’t designed with single parties in mind and cannot be readily downscaled without gutting them and reworking them completely, which defeats the purpose of making them available again.
