can he group stealth? skip? reflect projectils for team? give teamate protection?place waterfield? blind field?
nop, non of these he can do. i’m not even talking about things that he can do but insanely “average” at.
he’s “average” at a very little few things hes already limited to do, except banner.

Thieves are most OP class in 1 vs 1 these days.
this really, if you roam as a thief in wvw, either you win, or no one wins
unless you are bad…and you will not get stomp by trains or zergs or teams either, you can even take on multiple enemies easier, or even stack stealth in enemy castle
i had a tons of fun staying in enemy castle and murdering afking enemies.
oh btw in dueling pvp server, easily half of the players are thieves.
and btw don’t say i dont know stuff, because im probably more experienced on thief then most of you here.

both Qs will be pretty dead if they seperate these two.
Energy is no more taken, because the meta is about bruisers, damage over time, huge burn, one dodge will not do big deal and people just have a lot of vigor.
which is also way doom is strong because people build for healing over time and poison is strong against, so if meta switched, no much people will take it imo
it’s mostly for classes who lack defensive mechanics.
but even so, i see less and less thieves take them, because they have nature defensive mechanics on their weapon skills.
I used it a lot on hambow, on zerker war, necro, mesmer zerker guardian etc.
We think 3 classes are good at celestial because is in their design to use all stats better than other, by comparison other profession can use certain stats, way better than the 3 celestial classes, makes sense?
which means it’s these classes skill should be tune down instead of amulet.
make sense right?
if you guys want things to be balanced you guys should start with skills and traits instead of equipment..
why you think theres only 3 classes who are good at celestial.
we will just be a bad version of necromancer without mobility.
Because devs don’t give a dam, warrior is a simple class.
so they want a simple class to be not as effective.
if warrior really dead, they will just buff passive stats on healing signet and call it a day like they did before.
learn your ele, it’s the best class right now.
it’s not hard, just blast some fire fields
…at low level, condition is the most effective way to kill.
get some condition damage and power..
get sword/axe longbow..
if you really want to stick with celestial and gs.
here’s some tips
use runes of strength or runes of hoalbrak.
use intelligence on greatsword, try to land 3 or 5 or f1, also get sigil of air or leeching instead of blood
use geomancy instead of earth..
you would probably want deep cut instead and get attack of oppotunity instead of destruction of the empowered

Thief will just be more effective and more powerful and more needed in TeamQ (so is mesmer) they already remove stab effectively with steal
now they can remove stab with simply headshot. gg
and people saying on crit sigils should be brought down, i mean, it’s not the sigils.

i rarely see people run energy now.
before with hambow i still run energy, but now with shoutheal i just go geo doom.
thieves don’t go energy anymore either, mesmer goes fire air on gs.
engis and ele don’t go energy either.
mostly used for not as great builds imo with no vigor up time or bad survive.
like i would use it on certain zerker war build, or necro

They did say in the blog that the Revenant has a lot of in-combat mobility but not without something targeted.
Seems a lot like Guardian. I don’t see the issue with that. Imo the game needless out of combat abusable mobility, not more.
targetless mobility is important for pvp/wvw.
You call it important, I call it toxic. I think the amount of targetless mobility thief/ele/warrior can get is way too high. I hate that some people can straight disengage and just be gone. Playing poorly should lead to death. Just a different view point. That’s why I said I’d rather less not more. It has already created a gross rift between the haves and the have nots.
actually, the mobility is necessary. that’s what make diversity, if not everybody will be like necro and guardian with superior standing fight ability and will be insanely boring.
targetless mobility is pretty much the only think that will allow warrior to beat a guardian in duel. just because guardian is so much better in face to face combat for the lack of run away.
wurm and SW are also really good at running away if you are good at using them.
Just taking a look at the PoI and I’m not as impressed yet. Still waiting to see more info on other weapons. A question I do have is, since they name off 3 traits so far, does that leave 2 left for just 2 more legends? So possibly Shiro and another? (Hopefully Master Togo, even if his trait line is healing. I’d just like a pure ritualist inspired trait line & legend).

“Using a legendary demon stance….” suggests that there will be something else outside of Mallyx. Maybe not at release but in future who knows..
Im curious if support will be a legend that focuses on cleaning conditions;
-X+Jalix combo for bunker builds
-Mallyx+X once you have to many conditions on yourself to get rid of them.
not sure why would you think that there will be other demon stance, using a legendary demon stance is a mallyx line trait which affects every mallyx skill, just like how elementalist traits work, when swap to air, damage increase, when swap to earth w/e you gain w/e.
or like use shout remove condition..use meditation gain fury.
ranged weapon is useless in every way.
not sure why people want that.
range weapon generally do bad damage most of the time, in pve people just stack and melee.
in pvp, blink and aoe poison and weakness will always be better with 2 for cleave, too much utility. (like no warrior will take rifle over longbow)
warhorn would be cool too, interesting indeed.

no.
berserker stance is outright immunity.
resistance can be corrupted/stripped, and you can still apply condis to the target, they just won’t work until the boon wears off.
but condition on you still have effect when you have berserker stance on. and such long CD for such short period of effect.
rev class isint that good, not sure if u guys noticed but the class had 0 mobility skills. sure its cool and stuff but if u cant escape from a fight its not that useful unless its super ttanky or has kiting abilities like an engi.
sword will have similar mobility as guardian sword 2.
im sure dagger will have some sort of evade as well.
hammer is super ranged like mesmer’s gs, and mace is generally not a mobility weapon and axe did have some nice stuff.
as revenant can’t weapon swap, once chosen a melee weapon i’m sure they need some superior combat mobility in order to be any viable without having melee and range weapon at the same time.
some guy said that they will have combat mobility like target required, similar to guardian i think? (which showed in axe 4) which is slow…lol but fast in combat..but slow…lol

is just as kittenaying signet condi ele…you know what im saying here, not serious viable. i can even run trip arcane for the lolz if i want to.
btw s/f double arcane is pretty good dueling build.
anyway, the guy has point, no serious mesmer not running portal, decoy, blink, no serious engi not running grenade, gear kit, every serious thief build run ss signet and SR.
turret and phantasm are only hotjoin level viable just like MM, it would be the same saying condi signet or frost bow lolz.
btw stances are bad for warrior now, either shout or die.
be4 it was either triple stance or die, now is shout or die. triple stance is so weak in current meta with DD ele and rifle engi.

Morsus, you reminded me to solve the mystery of Pop the revenant: I didn’t even see him/her at the time. When I saw everyone talking about it later I checked the timestamps on the chat that I was using to talk to the people behind the scenes. What I found was me saying “I can hear a kid outside”. Somebody’s little one was visiting the office and they were doing HAPPY SHOUTING! right outside the livestream room door. Oops.
I was so distracted by worrying that viewers could hear the yelling child that I totally missed Pop’s cameo.
Usually if I’m making a weird scrunchy face it’s because something is happening that you can’t see, but it needs my attention. So I’ll try to address whatever that thing is while still giving the devs enough of my ear that I don’t have to say “Sorry, what? I wasn’t listening.” if they talk to me right then. I’m giving my full attention to two things at the same time. This seems to turn into rageface is what I’m hearing. I’m considering a life-size photo of a Colin smile mounted on a stick that I can hold in front of my face at these moments. (Sorry Colin sorry sorry)
ANYWAY. There are several people behind the scenes helping out, and two different monitors in my view that they use to communicate with me. If a chat box in one of those lights up, it’s because someone needs to tell me something and I need to pay attention to it. Sometimes it’s because Jon opened the revenant trait panel and the chat room completely lost its collective mind convinced that the revenant was only ever going to get three trait lines ahem, so Josh let us know that that was a thing that was happening and to address it. I wish I could talk more to you all in chat after the show starts, but it’s impossible. Too much to pay attention to!
So there are a couple of general things that should help with some free-floating curiosities. Thanks for watching, Tyrians. As always, I appreciate it tons.

we have not see other weapons and utilities yet…
you can bolas fear me balanced stance for dueling with standard gs build
but it stays for fun build.
best bet is bullcharge with zerker stance and ofc balanced stance, but bull charge sucks, i would rather just take a third stance.
and generally, even hundred blade is use able, gs is still not an ideal weapon for conquest, it still does not surpass thief or mesmer in terms of roamer, lack of boon removal, and actual blink mobility.
and can not prevent decap, if you actually want to output damage or survive, you will get out of the node( for the node being so small) and enemy will decap you.
you don’t want to think hundred blade as your primal damage outpu, because it’s not, people who use whirling and arcing slice will do more reliable burst damage and have more survibility.
you can land your hundred blade whenever you land your pin down.
like i previously mentioned of bolas fear me, alternatively you can go zerker stance, fear me, balanced stance and fear me pin down with hundred blade either that, or just triple stance.
tldr : GS is just unrealistic in conquest for serious play, in stronghold perhaps.

Sword is unconfirmed, recall that Rytlock carried/used an off-hand pistol in his time as a warrior so the sword might just be is connection to his past.

My (and guild wars wiki) idea about Elites is “Elite skills are especially powerful skills designed to be used infrequently and have a dramatic effect on the tide of a battle. The last slot on the skill bar is reserved for elite skills. Elite skills typically have much longer recharge times compared to normal utility skills — very few recharge in less than 60 seconds, and some can take up to 4 minutes”.(i’m not english so forgive possible errors)
There are weapon skills with up to 50 seconds cooldown. there are class mechanics which go up to 90 seconds cooldown as well.
and it’s been proven that no elite in this game dramatically effect on the tide of a battle more then other utility skills.

nah, because it takes time to master a class, and people are so good with other classes.
it will be out of the meta for at least a month.
not sure, because i bet stab skills will have a high amount of stacks for them to be still good at 1v1 2v1. like 10-12 stacks for balanced stance

Im so curious about revenant
They can only have one set of weapon, so they have less attacking skill even then the warrior (healing skill will still be a healing skill even switched so 3+ elite, while warrior swap have a complete new set of 5 skills and a new burst skills)
and they not only have cool down but also have energy like thief..(basically thieves with short cooldowns) except for utilities. interesting
