You take it for all I care. It’s not really to help mesmers so much as the other classes.
Just remember that the next time you want a portal.
I’d love a solo mode for everything. Especially fractals.
It seems strange that the devs would go through all the trouble to add ascended gear to the game to only use it in one dungeon. Are there rumblings of implementing agony in any other areas of the game? Progressing in fractals has been rewarding for me so far, but I wonder what the future holds. I wouldn’t mind seeing agony in all the new dungeons they add. Perhaps it they could create an agony mode for the existing dungeons and add ascended gear there? Either way, I hope its in many of the new dungeons.
^^lot of users have wasted 300-400g+ on mystic forge and got 0 precursor..
OT: Price won’t drop till Anet does something about it.
It’s so bland..some people really hard working towards Legendary and don’t have precursor..and some people just throw few rare/exotic and gets precursor within few tries.
Make it available for everyone..for xxx amounts of mats, gifts, etc..
Yep, after the gift of mastery you could just toss crap into the forge the rest of the way. Get two of any of the great sword, staff, Long Bow precursors and you’re basically done with your legendary. Just a modest amount of gold left to grind.
So epic.
The gem store and investors, I think.
From what I’ve seen, most of the people complaining about the suspensions probably deserved them. You can tell by the way the complain. I’m not speaking of you specifically, that’s why I said most and not all. Point is, 72 hours is nothing in the long run. It’s annoying, but just try to carry on afterwards like nothing happened. Nothing you say or do will change this policy so why stay mad?
Just make one in the Mystic Forge. It’s not that hard. Just keep throwing lv 80 Rares of the weapon type you want, and a Precursor will pop out eventually.
Not necessarily true at all.
RNG is RNG, I threw in 40g worth of rare greatswords and got back Dusk AND Dawn, almost back to back
That explains your perspective on precursors.
I don’t see why they don’t even have casual duels?
Like between two people in environment. I guess it’s because we don’t have down time with the new LFG tool they’ve put into the game. No more time to kill while looking for a dungeon group…. oh wait.
You don’t have one.
You have no idea when you’re going to get one.
You’re chucking rares like there’s no tomorrow.
Working as intended.
Just implement the quest and make the precursors SoA. Everyone is happy.
Oh please, zerg fights are pure AoE spam. Thieves and mesmers would be dead meat. Stealth and clones don’t do too much when everywhere you’re standing is in a meteor shower. All the classes you mentioned are roaming, duelist classes, which the exception of a elementalist.
AoE spam only gets people on low health, after that they move to the back of the zerg and recover. A thief can do very well lurking behind the enemy zerg and ganking anyone who runs to the back with 20% health. Mesmers can AoE spam effectively with the right build.
Apparently GS4, Staff5 and two shatters are AoE spam now. Mesmer has very few AoE options. You could consider sword AoE but it CQ, so I don’t think that’s what you were talking about. Anyway, mesmer “AoE spam” would look nothing like an elem.
I saw a mesmer take down like 6-7 enemies (with a little help of my), but in any case, 7, SEVEN, come on man, i left the game 6 weeks, and now im back and see that, is just wtf
Was probably 2-7 upleveled noobs. Nothing to see here.

What’s your main?
class choice and personality? I have. (No insults intended. :])For example, warriors tend to be more brash. Elementalists seem to be more reserved and more likely to go with the group. Mesmers tend to be snarky and arrogant. (I’m a mesmer btw.)
Of course, I know there are always exceptions. But has anyone else noticed a trend with classes/personalities or is it just my experience? It could be my server, we are an RP server. Maybe this is how most people think their professions would behave?
Please, keep it friendly and polite. This discussion is just for fun. Let’s not offend anyone.
I kill all the trash in fractals. If you compare loot drops there with all the other dungeons, you’ll see why.
Every dungeon needs fractal level loot drops.
Lol, people still bandwagon even after the paid transfers.
John im pretty sure he already used his item and cannot sell in game. He wants an option to transfer his used commander title to another character
I know, it was a joke because that is the cost of buying a new commander tome. I should stop making jokes
Aw, you’re making me feel bad for laying into you.
Doesn’t matter, lol. We used to be able to do it with no issue. We concluded it was bugged and went to do fractals.
Probably just a one off bug, we’ll see tomorrow.
Did they make changes to this guy? I’m running with a group that I’ve done this dungeon with before many times, yet we can’t damage him at all. We’re doing 2000+ damage each, yet he’s taking no damage. The only way to harm him is if we kill ALL the regen crystals. If he has a single stack of regen he heals up in seconds.
Is this working as intended or is it a bug?
… when I choose to close to desktop. The .exe continues to run until I manually stop the process via the task manager. I started noticing this when I’d try to start GW2 and the application would appear to hang. I checked in the task manager and noticed two instances of GW2.exe. I’m not sure how to go about remedying the situation beyond a reinstall. I didn’t know if it was a known issue or something new. I thought I’d check first to be safe and, perhaps, save myself some time.
This is a bit unbecoming of a developer, I think.
You’d think the exotic route, but idk. That’s where I lost all my cash on. The chance for either one is so minute, I wonder if it even matters.
Yeah, I lost 100g in the forge trying for the legend with cap level exotics. You get a dusk accidentally. Pretty much why the whole process is terrible design summed up nicely. Thanks!
I normally find your posts whiny and obnoxious but this is truth.
I don’t even know who you are, but thanks for the insult!
Lol, this is perfectly normal. Your endgame experience is in the hands of the lucky few and the uber rich. Just get used to it.
Also, Sunreva you seem to completely misunderstand probability.
You people need to learn how to do Arah exp
Why would that even help?
Also, to the guy asking if it would be legendary if everyone had one? If everyone had a precursor? Yeah. There’s still an kitten left to do after that.
Still a brainless class with too much “I messed up” buttons, map control, and team fight presence. Seriously a godly Mesmer will be a trash Warrior or Ranger, that’s just how the skill relation is between the Mesmer and those two other classes are.
Ha, this post sounds like you’re mad. Mesmer requires a great deal of strategy, quick reflexes, and great positional awareness. You have to monitor your health and the the health of three clones/phantasams. You’re squishy as hell so you need to be fast to distortion/clone/dodge or else you fall quickly. It takes a bit more than just sicking a pet on the target and firing away or popping quickness and lunging into combat.
It requires thinking.
Lol, it’s so funny trying to hear the folks that got their precursor on the first 100g of pitching or for 20g around launch try to defend precursor prices. It’s really really funny.
One time I dropped 100g on exotics trying for the legend. Got craftable staves in return. >.>
Such a waste. The mystic forge is a terrible game mechanic. Devs should be ashamed.
I’ll kill all trash mobs when they have 60% less health and a 100% better drop rate.
Killed it yesterday on lv 10 with a pug and 5 AR. You have to spread out for the fight. Group kiting isn’t going to work as he’ll faceroll you. The agony is basically not dodgeable, but you can avoid the ice AoE. Still, it’s far harder than it used to be and just plain annoying.
I can’t imagine it at higher levels.
Yeah, I lost 100g in the forge trying for the legend with cap level exotics. You get a dusk accidentally. Pretty much why the whole process is terrible design summed up nicely. Thanks!
Wish I’d known this before we started our run. Yeah, it’s hella hard. Way harder than most players can handle. You’d need a very very well organized group familiar with all their class mechanics to survive. Even then, I don’t know how they expect lv 10 no AR pugs to do this.
Power/Toughness/Prec is an awesome spread. But sadly, it seems that there is no ascended version of that spread. (Unless I missed it. :P) Are there any plans to add it in the future? It really limits my build and I imagine I’m not the only one that likes knight’s gear.
I’m pretty sure a price ceiling would just make the problem worse. The result would be a shortage caused by increased demand for an already under supplied item.
That’s just my initial assessment of the move. I could be mistaken.
If Anet made the odds in the Forge become dependent rather than independent everyone would be happier.
So if the odds of getting what you want are 1/500 then the second time it becomes 1/499 and so on. You still have the chance to get it on first hit but the longer you keep dumping stuff in the better your chance. If you are really unlucky you will still get it on the 500th flush.
Now, now. Good ideas aren’t allowed. Something this simple to implement is not acceptable. The process must be complicated and annoying.
WoW throwaways, I think. Most of them come to the game with the same mentality that makes WoW and games like it so unfun.
Not to overly generalize, I’ve met many nice former WoW players. But even more not so nice.
Yeah, that’s how it’ll work. You get rewards on par with your level.
Selling siege is a mutually beneficial arrangement. Nothing wrong with it. It helps the server and it’s players. Technical limitations are the only reason it’s not on the TP atm.
They won’t be adding it to SPvP. Pretty sure I read that somewhere, but I don’t have a source. I’m not worried about that ever happening. SPvP is supposed to be about skill not stats. (Granted it’s mainly a merry-go-round atm.) But anyway, there will be no gear grind in SPvP.
SPvP is still boring. Ascended gear is annoying, but not a big deal if they don’t add anymore ranks. They said they won’t. So, nothing has changed for your view.
Guards have a tele too iirc.
Mesmer stealth has nothing on thief. Nothing.
Only a WvW player would think hiding in a zerg and spamming 1 was PvP.
Anet has no problems with this. Anet guys have camped jumping puzzles as well.
You’re supposed to have to pvp in order to get the Gift of BATTLE. Legendary weapons are to show that you have mastered all aspects of the game…..
I would have agreed with you before they were put for sale on the TP.
Ah, I see. Never knew about that.
Blessings? Do you mean a potion buff and a food buff? Maybe I’m missing something.
GW1 has an awesome soundtrack. I feel like it had more variety than GW2. Jeremy Soule is good at what he does. Very good.
Mesmer hasn’t been nerfed enough? Thing is, when they do determine a remedy to culling, they won’t take it away. So, no. Bad idea.
Or maybe we should just have thieves become stunned like that every time they leave stealth. For the culling bug….
You don’t have enough cash to cover the posting fee.
