New Megaserver make all location like a Shanghai. I dont like many people on one place and this game upldate make many people everywhere.
The best would be to limit the number of players in one location on 50 or cancel this Megaserver project

just noticed someone else posted a list. (the ones in bullet points are what anet posted on facebook. )
Only 10 daily achievements is complicated at the moment.
Today for example, “daily reviver” takes a lot of time : there are not enough NPC or players downed to revive, because there are so many players everywhere that downed NPC are becoming a “critial ressource”.
Just go in Thaumanova Reactor, where there are usually a lot of dead NPC : now, there are nearly always up and there is plenty of plenty running around, rezzing them continuously.
So the problem with so few achievements, is that they are shared by every players. As there are not a lot of achievements to do and everyone is willing to do 5 pve dailyes, it’s becoming problematic.
The solution is simple and easy.
Have a pool of a lot of dailies, just like before (10-12 PvE + 3 WvW + PvP ones).
Every players chose the 10 ones he wants in this pool : only the 10 first grants achievements points.
That way : on ANet side, the goal is the same, reduce AP points granted each day. And
players will have the choice of what they want to do each day, and there won’t be any difficulties to do some achivements that are now quite boring due to the fact that too many players are trying to do them at the same time.
I have a few personal stories that I havent completed. So for down, I go to one, let the npc’s die, res them, let them die again..and so on.
Takes awhile, which is one fo the reason why I’d rather choice on the daily.
Used to get the daily done in about 40min. now… not even close. \=

I’m looking over the list of requirements. It’s really not good. For starters, traits that unlock through wvw are extremely dependent on luck. Getting close to the Overgrown Grub, let alone killing it, is a problem if one is assigned to red or green. That grub is known for being insanely hard to kill, and now it has a big bullseye over it’s head so blue people may try to camp it and prevent others from earning their traits. It also appears that only blue has a wvw boss with a trait. That may cause additional strife in wvw due to the imbalance. .

They actually added a trait unlock in WvW??? What the hell?
As if it wasnt bad enough to have them locked behind world bosses.
anet, if we have to search traits we want to be able to solo them! and not be hindered by other players.
More forcing of pve &wvw again too.
You need more options for getting these traits. (and costing skill points, isnt one of them, as thats down right useless for newer players.)
I am wondering if there is some sort of manner rule in Europe that in multi-language countries that a common language like English be defaulted to when speaking in public.
Well, I only know of one multi-language country (a country with more than one official language) in Europe, which is Switzerland.
The default for speaking in public is the official language (example: German in Germany) of the Country. And it is some kind of “manner rule” to try to speak the language of the Country you stay at the moment, especially if you are a guest in another Country, is considered as politeness. (“When in rome, do as the romans do”).
However, this is only a short overview. The language and cultural diversity is very high in Europe, so there are a lot of “specialities” and also some “animosities” between some cultures/countries/languages.

Id say the majority of people in game speak English(if not fluently) so its generally easier for communicatio if everyone speaks English.
But anet really didnt consider EU and multi-languages in one region with their megaserver……

I’m looking for a guild (or guilds that dont require 100% rep) for;
I’ve started getting into WvW lately, and though I’m leveling my ele there atm, I’m planning to mostly use my necro for it.
I quite enjoy it and wouldnt mind hanging with guild when I’m there. As it is, I normally play with a friend or solo it.
I’m really enjoying fractals, and aim to do them once a day, or every 2nd day. I’m only lv11 atm. and I dislike pugging. (they tend to be rude/not patient even on lower level where it’s clear you’re learning >.> …). So it’d be nice if I could be part of guild who will play the lower levels while I’m leveling/earning money/working on ascended.
I mostly use my necro atm, being the only lv80 I have. Working on ele, and after that lv80 I may work on a heavy class.
Guild missions. I’m looking for a guild that does these multiple times a week. Or is ok with people repping another guild for them.
One of the issues with my last guild was that they only run them once a week, and I rarely got to do them because of time.
Another thing, I mostly play at any time between 12-9gmt. So a guild/guilds that are mostly active during that time would be excellent.
I;m not really looking for a social guild, just some that I can connect with for the various game modes.
Also I like buffs so I’d prefer main guild to be on Aurora.

Not anything to do with zerk.
They lowered mob difficulty because lower levels have less traits,…but they didnt increase the downscaling.
It’s good from some aspect, and bad from some aspect.
For example if you play for ap leaderboards and doing all achievements, you have less daily work now, it makes this easier.
Surely the better fix is not less dailies, but only count the first 5 for ap??
this is basically the “cross account slots” people have been asking for.

Especially in Europe, where he virtually 6 different languages??. This is a mess!This. If you don’t fix this quickly, you will lose players in droves.
Megaserver really should have split the EU into three regions; French/German/English.
We still have guesting options, so people who want to play in either region for whatever, can.
But today we had people asking at karka “why is this English”?
This will suck quite a bit for people who want to speak their own language.
Anet, you were decent enough to have other languages to English, so why do you insist on combining us altogether?.

To reply to OP, the thing I hate. Traits unlocking at higher levels, meaning it’s even more important to get to lv80 so you can have everything unlocked.
and leveling will suck for most classes. I really dont understand why they felt the need to unlock traits at a later level.
The could have had them start at lv15(5 points) , while still changing the other things they wanted (like having to explore to get traits ).
Why anet, why leave them locked to 30??

Judging from the new timers as posted somewhere by you folk at Anet, I won’t be able to attend Tequetl ever as the primetime will most likely put me in overflow anyway as long as the megaservers don’t extend that far, not to mention I usually am fixing dinner/eating at that time, the other 2 times are during the night for me.
I would have to guest everytime I want to do a fight and can’t do it on my own bloody server. This is a terrible letdown to me. What does strike me is that you’d do these times while megaserver system hasn’t reached the entire world yet which means the main zone will have people in it that have waited for a long time and thus are really committed to it, and the overflow(s) will have people looking for a quick snack so to speak and thus have lower chances imho. Why?
I’d request at least 2 more times ( well, 2 more times that would close the gaps overall so it would be more accessible. )

They should unlock automatically once you reach the proper level.
They did change the level the different tiers unlock, though. It used to be 11 for Adept, 40 for Master, and 60 for Grandmaster. Now its 30 for Adept, 60 for Master, and 80 for Grandmaster.
We’ll know in 10 levels, I suppose.
For some classes this really sucks though. I still think that was a terrible idea.
I’m mostly frustrated that my alts (those created before the patch) dont have access to all their traits because they’re below level.
I thought trait acquisition was supposed to stay the same for those? (I was leveling a mesmer… that will be challenging..and an ele.) (and they are locked, before anyone says otherwise.)

The dailies are also a disaster. I must say the necro changes/fixes are good though.
Huh, I hadn’t noticed that… I’ll miss being able to get about 10-12 AP every day, but on the plus side, since I don’t PvP, I guess this frees up more time for me to do other things.
No one forced you to chase ap.
plus a better fix would have been to not let dailies count for a after the first 5.
daily gatherer and daily activity … I loved having them constant. Could always count on those 2… and I’d easily get 3 others. Now dailies are going to feel more grindy as I cant pik the ones I like.
and pvp dailies do no count as a choice to me.

That would depend on what people like.
but imo, people spend enough time working they dont come to a game…just to work some more.

cultural armour, should stay cultural…or it will no longer matter ‘where’ that armour came from or that it’s “cultural”.
And while they have some of the best loot on the loot-tablein theory, ghe drop chances are ridiculously small. A player can kill them 100 times without getting anything, while the random pug that just happened to pass by and get in 3 hits at the very end gets his ascended weapon. Again, very frustrating and poorly implemented.
This is the real issue. I feel. These bosses should’ve been token based like dungeons for rewards.
Point being, a guildy took part in taking down wurm, luckily got an exotic and so the time “was totally worth it”. The problem is, how many players didnt get an exo?. Also, the chance of getting an exo, is much the same on any world boss. So why bother with wurm.
time/effort vs reward isnt there for these bosses.
(though I like taking part with teq, I got bored fairly quick with wurm and I wont waste time with it again.)
wurm was attempted last night in ag, and completed successfully as far as I know.
wurm and teq require more organisation, if you want to know when the server is attempting them, log on to ts voip.auroragla.de. And ask the commanders on. Most of them will know.
Teq is attempted every saturday on ag.
however if you want to complete each and every time its on, guest to Desolate, be warned, you need to be there an hour early.

I have no problem joining a squad if I want to..and following the squad. Neither do other players.
Those that dont, dont want to..and wont want to see some random colour pillar on the terrain.
people are trying to get as much as they can from champs before patch. prices on the tp have increased(…..because people pay absurd amounts… if nobody bought prices would drop…but anyway.)
Things will likely cool down on the champs after the update and once people start settling into the changes.
For now, go explore a different map.

I want a bank (or 5 slots or whatever) thats with you on the go.
“account” slots..give one free to everyone, then charge gems for more. Place it as a new ‘bag’ or something like that.
Having to go to the bank every time you’re about to switch alts and then with those alts when you switch, is extremely annoying ..and more often than not I dont bother.

you wont have to learn much “again”.
Things that are changing are how skins work(will be simple to understand/get used to the change).
and traits. They’re also changing to as simpler form, and you dont really have to worry about understanding them…..if you want to wait.

meh, I’ve seen people with 1k ap know they’re stuff in a dungeon…. and there’s people who farmed their ap through monthlies/dailies. Its a terrible indicator of “experience”.
I ignore and lfg ads asking for zerk only or over “x” amount of ap.
tend to stick to groupls that say lv80. Still skip and do fast clears but with none of the elitists and their attitude.
sure and you havent been lucky …. ….so how’d you get your gold? WvW drops are hit and miss, and for many servers a very very poor way to make money …
who wants to spend 2 hours a day for a year, earning gold, for 1!! weapon. There are other things to buy too, but one cant if they have to save everything for that 1 legendary.
in the end none of your points chagne the fact that they’re needs to be new ways to ger percursors (or new ‘legendary’ weapons’)
kill streak boosters, would love to trade them in…..I never ever ever use them.

theyre too easy and not legendary enough, they should be so hard it takes over a year to make one, its supposed to be the most elite skin for hardcores, and is the only “hardcore” item in game, people complaining that its too hard to get a pre havnt tried hard enough, 700-1000g is easy to get as long as you control your spending and dont keep wasting it

at 500 days, 2500 = 5 hours PER day. …. it then depends on what you do for those 5 hours. Whether you bought the percursor or got it in a lucky drop.
I dont think anything like this should take 6 months, nevermind a year. Especially when these are the ONLY weapons with stat swapping ability.
(doesnt matter that they werent origionally that way, they are now).
And because of that it shouldn’t take 5 hours a day for a year.
And I’m not saying change legendaries. Just percursors.
Increase its drop rate in the likes of higher level fractals. Hard dungeon paths like aether TA. Add some chance for it in WvW and PvP. But decent chances, There’s no need for it to be as rare as it is.
Just more ways to get the kitten thing. As it is. Its not challenging…its luck…complete luck.
More importantly, bring in new weapons with stat swapping that are plain/boring so that legendary can hold on to “being the fanciest out there…but thats all”
@Belzebu Of course the Moa chick was just an example, and the Legendary should be much harder. But it was given as an example for a better direction. Imagine a massive quest taking up to two years to get? But still on a non luck path. That would not only keep players on GW2 but find a fulling adventure.
I just loved the Black Moa Cick adventure and well yes Belzebu, your thoughts about making a black moa like adventure for a precursor is brilliant!

, the think is, there is no way a scavenger hunt make you take a long time to complete without time gating, and that sounds just cheap IMO. The black moa chick for example could be done in hours if you REALLY wanted, I can’t imagine a way of make it so hard that it would take 6 months, for example, to complete without using time gates.
I think that the current Legendary mechanic is good enough, makes you complete all the maps, do a bit of WvW, do some dungeons, learn about the Mystic Forge, requires a bit of farm, but the possibility of just buy from TP and the RNG of the precursor kills it.

I wouldnt mind, if they added stat swapping to another type of gear … so legendaries are truly just horizontal progression SKINS.

Also 6 months play time is arbituary number… for some people, thats 1 hour a week, for others it;s 8 hours a day… whats 6 months play time to you in hours?
I would welcome the components of a legendary to be locked behind something as difficult as Liadri.

I think kick system should require 3 not 2 people. Its not much better, but it’s a little. but sometimes kicks are necessary when they leave, when you state lv80 only(and some lv 50 or 60 keeps trying to enter…I would like if kicked…. they couldn’t re-enter your party, =.= ..)
Even if you could keep the chat….there’s no way to know who ‘kicked’ you. Who do you report?
So back to my original question. At the current conversion rate, how long would it take to grind enough gold for 800 gems? If I have the choice between working a fraction of an hour, x, in order to earn enough money to buy 800 gems and grinding in game for x+1 hours for the necessary gold, why would I do the latter?
I grinded out for 1000 gems in about 10 or so days. (my guild knows I was playing countdown XD …)
I aimed for about 8-10 a day.
I did world bosses(if they were up) and 4 dungeon pats( acp3/cofp1/sep1/anything else guild wanted to do).
I mostly played the game my way. I sold EVERY rare I got and the odd exotic. (I didnt sell any mats).

I played what I wanted. (with the add of fast clearing those 3 paths). ..
JUST those paths net you 4g (1g per path plus loot). They take about an hour.
80g =800gems
that would take you 20days… MAX!. you’ll likely play other parts of the game, maybe have mats to sell. etc etc.
Is saving for 20days really that hard? o0
I want to like this game, but honestly after buying it over a year ago my highest char is level 28 and I know absolutely the reason why too.
When I play a MMO I play as a tank or a healer as I like having responsibility in a group, I immediately hit LFG and start a dungeon group in whatever game I play because that is what I like doing. When I log on I usually get tells asking me to run something with people I have played with before and I like being known in game for my abilities in a group.
With GW2 no one even seemed to run dungeons when I first picked it up and there is no set tank or healer archtype either. That to me is just a total killer for the game. Its like saying my entire way of playing is invalid and only DPS are allowed to have a role. Yes I know DPS is the most common role in every single game but I like the challenge of leading groups and holding them together. This game just takes that ability and says pfft who needs you.
I still want to like the game because I like it being B2P (buy to play… you must buy box to play it, whereas FTP you can just download and start playing it) but after about 2 to 3 hours of doing a map to get all the hears and stupid vistas and all that crap and I am ready to /wrists. I know some of you love that stuff but for a person who loves running dungeons and group stuff, solo questing is just boring as crap and is totally against the MM part of a MMORPG. Maybe that would change at level 80 but honestly I doubt I will ever get there because I just cannot stomach the monotonous grind.

although still a dps race, they have support utilities which can be very important to a groups success, ele’s/mesmers/theifs all also help with support/control. Warriors have a bit..but meh, give me a guard over a war any day.
This game isnt about healing, but that doesnt mean there isnt support roles.

lv to 80 and you might have a better time.
also, no one is forcing you to go for vistas/hearts..you can craft yourself to lv80 should you want to.
personally what I’d like, is an option for aoe to go to target enemy and not be mouse control.
In some instances pve, you’re targeting an enemy anyway. or a mob and what to hit the lot. maybe have a button that if you hold it, aoe goes to target and not mouse.
this would be excellent in some cases. .. add another button (if people want) for aoe to reach furthest possible spot and only move side to side with mouse.
We need quicker control over aoe, and surely it’s not that hard to add a button click for various aoe options?
How about no look for legendary armor? BUT! U can apply any look on it without transmutation stones? And, combined with stat change….I would go for it ^^
Or they could even add some cool effect to any skin you wearing, if it is legendary. Like choosable color/form of glow/effects, or smth like that. No transmutation stones would be mayby to extreme, but this one might work.
they will never add free skin swapping like that ….people sink quite a bit of gold/cash changing skins.

well the plan with the megaserver, is EVERY zone will have people. Not to mention, dont have to do sp ‘right now’.
What I mean is, ..solo’ing? cant do it?…don’t. Walk on, there’s other things to do and other areas to see.
Some things are done in such a way that you’re really really meant to team up with others. dont have to. but they’re designed with teaming up in mind.
Also, try asking in gendarran for someone to explore ‘x’ map with you. I’m willing to bet my gold someone will say “sure”.

Yes, traits will be free, they’re also getting a look change, and new traits.
Legendaries are only for looks. The time and effort needed to make them now is nowhere around the same as before. Sucks to have to put all your time into one thing for weeks to get something that’s just a skin and provides no more damage than an ascended would. Nothing Legendary about Gw2 Legendaries. Plus you can buy them premade, which is a bust since people with money irl or no life can just 24/7 Gw2 or Convert money to gems. Blows. Might as well make all the account bound mats, IE clovers, buyable on TP too…Oh, and obsidian shards. Thanks.

I didn’t delete the Norn. I just want to transfer everything to the new character. Exp boost, Miniature rytlock, the legacy armor. How do i use the mistfire wolf skin?
You guys said that there will be a wardrobe update so I get the armor again but the one I chose is the one for thief and I don’t think warriors or any other class can equip it.
rytlock, is a “collectible” (as in you can deposit it from the character its on, and take it out on any charatcer)
mistfire wolf is a skill, not a skin.
Exp boost, move it into bank and then you can use it. banks are in any of the cities.
legacy armour, if you used it already, you have to wait til the 15th. That is when the wardrobe system is activated. And it depends, if the skin is specific to light armour, only light classes can wear it, heavy, only heavy classes..etc.
