I’d suggest they could be an amphibious pet but I think they’d be useless on land. In the water they could be amazing though.
In real life penguins are only found at the south pole. Maybe it’s the same in Tyria and we’ve never gotten far enough south to discover them? Yet…

Legendaries have never impressed me personally
I’ve never cared for them or made any effort to get one
Have it my way I would rename Legendary weapons to Epic Weapons
and add a new Weapon rank classed as Legendary and have them with uniqe skins
these Legendary weapons would be ultra rare drops and only obtainable via drops
Once Legendaries started showing up in game it was like oh wow nice
but as I knew back then everyone and I mean everyone would have them within a year
hell you cant run around a map without seeing 20 people with a legend anymore
calling them Legendary weapons is kind of stupid when nearly everyone has one lol
honestly They hold no unique value to me which is why I’ve not bothered going after one
My Mini Karka holds more Value to me than any legendary weapon would
because i’ve only ever seen one other person with one
You may want to try completing Dungeon explorable paths daily as well as completing each of the world bosses once a day and selling all rares you get from them
that will make you a significant amount of gold within a week

If you really want to level via fighting then check out the Queensdale champion farm
I see a lot of people doing that all the time
since its a series of events it should get you up a few levels in no time
people cant be doing it purely for the loot since champ drops are pathetic in gw2
Mystic Toilet is entirely luck based
one of my guildmates managed to get the Rifle precursor first time by combining 4 rares a few days ago
then another guildmate sunk 500g into exotics and got nothing out of it a few days later
honestly if you have the money it’s probably best to buy it from the trading post

This does apply to Ranger spirits and Elementalist summonable Elementals which I give some exception too due to decent duration/cooldown balance
but overall I believe that summon durations should be removed
Necromancers will still have significant benefits on Minions due to traits being able to power them up
as Blaeys.3102 said most of them are Racial skills but that does bring into question that if Racial skills are supposed to be underwhelming then what is the point of even having Racial skills or 5 Races for that matter..

but does anyone have any good reasons as to why every summon skill with the exception to the Necro Minions have such a pathetically small duration timeframes coupled with a stupidly long skill cooldown?
exceptions are Elementalist elementals and Norn Wurm which have good duration to cooldown imo
the combinations of such a small duration and long cooldown makes these skills utterly useless

Sylvan hound, 60 second duration 180 second cooldown costs 10sp
Druid Spirit, 60 second duration 240 second cooldown costs 30sp
Hounds of Balthazar, 30 second duration 240 second cooldown costs 30sp
Charr Warband, 30 second duration 240 second cooldown costs 10sp
7 Series golem, 40 second duration 180 second cooldown costs 10sp
and
D Series golem, 40 second dutation 180 second cooldown costs 30sp
I don’t know if I am alone thinking this but the cooldowns are not really the problem here
I would think that having perminant durations on all of these skills (like the Flesh Golem) would not be unresonable or OP
that also goes for the fair skills too like Elementals and Ranger spirits
why is it the Necromancer gets perminant minions and no other class does?
I say this as someone who mains Necromancer
many of these skills are totally useless in pretty much all builds
even more so against strong enemies like champions who even in the lowest level maps can kill a Mistfire wolf in as little as 2-3 hits.. sometimes completely one shot them..
I think the durations of these summons are way too short for them to be of much use
specially since they are so pathetically weak against most of the games mobs
so I suggest giving all summoned allies perminant summon duration until they die in combat or you do
no changes to the cooldowns are required as considering the HP, dps etc of some of these summons is fair
but the pathetic duration is what really ruines all of these skills and makes them completely useless

as a long time Gw1 player this brings a lot of familiar Gw1 elements into Gw2 regarding how you build your character
this greatly pleases me as Gw2 has been greatly lacking in its connection to Gw1 since launch
yes it’s obvious they are two entirely different games but they are connected by the same world same series factor
being too different isn’t always a good thing and this is definitly something that benefits the game giving a easier system for newer players and a more familiar system to older ones

Im loving the attention given to the laughably bad healing power stat which is giving supporting/healing builds far far more credability along with more benefits to personal healing as well giving healing power a bit more appeal

Dungeon content should not be soloable imo and I agree with the Youtuber Nemesis along with Drakent.9605 who posted about this in another discussion that Zerker builds are killing this game and making dungeon content very very dull

Gw2 was supposed to be all about anyone playing any class can play any role
and I am glad to see the new traits are going to improve this vision for Gw2 and bring around more build options and playstyles
something I think Gw2 has been long overdue
I am loving the Trait trainers and that training manuals are being thrown out
free trait unlocks and free trait resets are a blessing
something that made Gw1 such a epic game was being able to swap builds on the fly and it’s something I love
having this back in Gw2 is pure bliss for me
buying and unlocking Major traits through the Dungeon stories and personal stories etc only further adds to my joy
this again was something I loved about gw2
earning my skills through quests and buying them from still trainers
it brings a great deal of enjoyment back to Gw2 in having to return to trainers to purchase these new traits you can access and it gives a sense of enjoyment and purpose to replaying the dungeon storymodes and completing specific content that rewards you with these traits
this was a strong feature of Gw1 and im glad to see Gw2 getting similar content
hell the only thing we are missing now is the ability to store saved builds and swap builds with the click of a button lol
as for traits unlocking at higher levels..
im ok with this although I can see why some are not
personally I like that this will increase a bit of challenge for lower level players as it encourages them to team up to take on slightly harder content
it also encourages them to adopt every possible way of leveling up like crafting which is still something a great deal of people seem to avoid
perhaps a little overhaul in the future to make crafting a little simpler may help
but really keeping your gear in top shape is important in Gw2 and crafting is definitely something that you should be doing from the start
add to that if you are a few levels down or struggling to complete higher level maps then its probably best you go to other lower level maps and complete those first then come back at a higher level (this encourages exploration for newer players which is a good thing)
or as I said earlier team up with others doing the same map as you and help each other out
this is something I see very little of in Gw2 which is pretty much standard for MMORPG’s
and as all who have will know that teaming up with others and playing together is a great deal more fun than playing through almost the entire game alone
I have 4 level 80s one with 100% map completion and 1 close to it all done with the exception of dungeon content completely alone.. because nobody needed my help to complete specific content and vice versa
so yea having more of the games content encouraging teamwork will be a good thing in my opinion
so yes all in all I am very excited about these changes and I can not wait to start a few new characters after the patch
fingers crossed the demand for Tengu will be heard and more of us will have reason to make new characters anyway and try out these new systems from scratch

Teratus, thanks for clarifying. I see what you’re saying and I agree it can be frustrating. Still, I think it’s okay and fair for GW2 to give us some achievements that require a large group succeeding, and I also think it’s fair for some achievements to have a heavy luck component. The situations you are describing, where a large group of players must succeed, illustrate your point well that it is impractical (if not impossible) to fully organize the success of the achievement. Even so, I guess I just think that’s okay and only amounts to kind of difficulty. Personally, I WANT there to be content (including achievements) that is too difficult for me. I think there are a lot of people who would agree that that is a good or even vital thing in a game.
Would you be happier if achievements that required large-scale player coordination were listed separately in the achievements panel? That might not be such a bad idea since it would allow you to feel like you have personally achieved all of the solo (or all of the solo and small group) achievements. I would also be fine with this arrangement. What I’m NOT fine with is insisting that such content (including achievements associated with it) shouldn’t exist at all, since many people enjoy doing it (as well as getting the difficult or luck-heavy achievements associated with it).
I don’t mind Achievements being group related in a way like for example I am completely ok with achievements like defeating the three headed wurm which does require a big team based attack
I use the Marionette as an example for two reason
one is because of how it seperates your lane into 5 different groups that you have no control over and all all 5 of those groups must complete the events for everyone to get their achievement despite the achievement only being dodge the Marionette’s lightning or sword attack
I would expect simply dodging the attack once or dodging the attack over and over until your ring completes it’s tasks as sufficiant enough for your to earn your achievement
the second reason I choose the Marionette was because it was temporary content that is no longer playable
for someone like me who really enjoyed the boss and who didnt manage to complete all of the achievements it does make you disappointed when you miss out like that..
I did get the Meta thanks to the daily contribution but I would have liked to get all of the additional achievements as well
for the short time It was around I really enjoyed the Marionette boss
I just wish that my acheivements were not linked to the actions of such a uncontrollable situation as people being split into several groups that cannot be decided by the player
First, you have a choice of giving the Heirlooms back to the citizens which is Selfless or selling them which is Selfish. If you were searching for Heirlooms to return them that is not selfish.
But I did not bother with either potion because you have to keep activating it. I don’t bother with any of the cosmetic stuff that isn’t persistent in the world. I don’t spend any significant time in “town” so minis, this type of potion, town clothes, etc. are completely uninteresting to me. If they made all these things persistent (“town” clothes were worn over your regular armor, etc. ala LotRO), I would definitely be interested.

This is no different than the complaint that students have about group projects, only in that case participation is usually required and the argument might actually hold water. Here, it’s not required. If you don’t believe there is any merit to group activities, then don’t participate.

a group project may fail if one person fails to complete his part fo the work but that does not stop others from being credited for their work..
We are not talking about groups failing to take down a boss here we are talking about how our personal achievements are being denied because of other people screwing up
Have you considered that maybe your “effort” is not exerted in the way it needs to be? The task is for the GROUP to succeed. There is no individual success if the group fails, and that’s intentional. If you can’t teach or motivate the other players to succeed, you are also failing, not just them.
I will gladly use the Marionette boss here since it required several groups of people in several seperate rings attacking several champion bosses
and I can assure you that my ring always succeeded in taking down our boss
when I participate in boss events I take note of what my role is and I do my best to forfill it and for the most part I succeed since I am experienced with Gw2 and my playestyle
I can throw a few examples at you like on multiple occasions I have soloed Champion and even a legendary class bosses after my team has been slaughtered
You are talking about how a group needs to succeed in events where there are multiple groups that all need to succeed for everyone to earn achievements
that is entirely different from standard group based content like dungeons
And don’t even talk to me about teaching people
do you have any idea how irritating beyond words it is spending almost half an hour typing into the mapchat what everyone has to do only to have most of the people in the event completely ignore EVERYTHING!! you said and just stand there like idiots..
on the European servers we have a bigger problem in that a crapton of people play on the English servers and they don’t even speak English.. I cannot express enough how much this irritates us

Second phase Marionette Boss, Lure the Champion into it’s own mines to stun him and make him open to damage.
4/5 rings complete, 4 people in final ring, everyone on the map shouting LURE IT INTO ITS OWN MINES!!!! sometimes in upto 4 languages, end result 4 people running in a circle around the outside of the ring completely clueless to what they need to do..
when this happens to you several times a day on the same boss while trying to get achievements it makes you soo angry you want to break stuff
why should I have to loose my achievements because of people like that..
its unfair and it is beyond frustrating
Don’t you realize how contradictory this is? If the other players can’t affect the outcome, then it’s not a team based event.
We are not talking about the outcome here we are talking about personal Achievements

What it really is though is Dodge the Marionette’s Sword attack, defeat the Champion Mob, Destroy the control device, then stand around and wait for everyone else in the other rings to do the same
if one group fails you don’t get the achievement even though you completed all of the requirements you needed to earn it
that is what we are annoyed about here

some resistence to Toxic and Miasma perhaps

To some of us farming 10g isnt as easy as other people make it out to be
a lot of people can make that in a few hours through WvW

many of us Don’t play WvW and there are those like myself who actually hate WvW content even more so since you need wvw maps for 100% world completion but that’s a whole different rant
10g for me is a significant amount of money specially to put into something so simple as a devil horn animation..
I mean we are talking twice the price of an ascended earing here which is far more useful than a cosmetic potion
10g is way too much money to be spent on such a simple purely cosmetic potion
you may ask then why did I buy it and I will simply answer because I really wanted it and it’s a limited time item
in short I had no choice but to pay up the 10g
that doesn’t mean at all that I have to be happy about it
I simply like pricing to be fair
it costs around 1g for a functional costume brawl quaggan tonic on the trading post
but a little halo animation costs 10g and has no effects other than cosmetic
is that really a fair trade specially when it takes 7 days of running the rubble piles collecting Heirlooms..
unless of course you are one of those people who are willing to dedicated 50+ hours of constant farming in LA to get the Heirlooms instead

Underwater mechanics are not used as much as they should be in general in the game.
As for queensdale being changed, that’s not gonna happen. Anet have already stated that Orr will never be healed because they don’t want to take the zombies out for people who still are going through the PS. So by that logic queensdale will never undergo that dramatic of a change.

The Living world has had some great chapters where something has happend causing parts of maps to change here and there

I want to see more dramatic map changes like that in the future and not just as a finalie to a living world chapter
I thought the Mad Realm was just a realm somewhere in the Mists. Was it stated anywhere that it was located in the Underworld?

It states that the Mad Realm resides inside part of the Underworld
Although the Underworld itself is part of the Mists so technically you are right as well
This is not accurate. There were at least four other places to enter the Underworld in GW1. Chantry of Secrets, Tomb of the Primeval Kings, Lornar’s Pass and Zin Ku Corridor. Since Scarlet landed her Marionette in Lornar’s Pass, right next to the former entrance to the Underworld, and then moved to Lion’s Arch it is clear that she is not looking for a way into the Underworld…. or she’s really, REALLY blind.
My mistake on the locations, Upon reading up though entering the Underworld requires 1 thing
you must make an offering to a Voice of Grenth which can only be summoned from a Statue of Grenth
this shows that it is by Grenths will that you can travel there which supports that players need to be summoned to the Underworld by a powerful being that resides there much like I said with the Mad King Thorn who invites you there
Without this invite the Underworld is cut off from us
I think it may be a bit too early to say this conclusively.
Well the Karka were driven from the Depths by the Deep Sea Dragon that much we do know
out of all the Dragons besides Moredemoth the Deep Sea Dragon has had little to no impact on the GW2 world
it Drove the Krait, Quaggen and Largos to us but that all happened before the game launched
We’ve seen no minions nor and significant effects from that dragon
the Karka were a welcome sign that Anet have not forgotten about him
Zhaitans undead plague the Maguuma
Krals branded plauge Ascalon
Jormags Icebrood in the Shiverpeaks
Primordus Destroyers in Kryta and around other places too
Deep sea dragon didn’t have anything like that so by Driving the Karka to Lions Arch and southsun he has at least one significant effect on the world that we get to experience
the only Dragon left to make it’s mark is Mordemoth

personally I find the content to be more annoying than anything else and the rewards just don’t seem worth the time
still people seem to like it so hopefully SAB3 will be more rewarding to those who share my opinion on it
that way we’ll be more interested in playing it

Please do make achievements personal, not depending of the items you have no influence on. Like on Marionette dodging achievements – you can dodge as you wish but unless all circles succeeded – you will get no achieves. Triple Treat is an example of “bad achievement”. Heirloom – is perfect one, fulfilling events (Tequatl Slayer) is also ok because you are part of such task and can help whenever necessary. But Wurm’s Bane… It is nice, but you can only do your part with one wurm, and then hope that others did their job well.

as someone who commits time into achievement hunting I personally find these sorts of achievements to be utterly unfair
Why should my achievements be gimpped because a few people failed to complete their half of the achievement
it’s not fair on those of us who put that kind of effort in
team based events are fine hell I love them but don’t let other players dictate whether I earn my achievements or not.. that’s just cruel
It only takes one noob or just bad player to screw up and cost everyone else their achievement which then only leads to a barrage of abuse in the map chat which only makes that player feel bad

People are still farming bosses on seafarers I know that much
Im ok with how the Heirloom rewards are set up
250 Heirlooms takes a few days to farm but what really kills this reward is the 10g requirement on top of all that..
yes I like my horns but come on
after farming for several days to hit 250 Heirlooms throwing that 10g in there is a complete rip off
yes I paid it since I have an attraction towards demonic features much like I did with my Gw1 character who constantly work his Demon horns and Lich costume
but that 10g was a real unfair scam tbh
You forget that Scarlet has been communicating with this creature in her nightmares
and that all Sylvari are related to one future connected to this creature
Primordus doesn’t fit in this scenario
the only reason people are thinking Primordus is because Scarlet is drilling into the ground..
We know Scarlet is after the Laylines under Lions arch but her motives are unknown
the Dwarfs are also fighting the bulk of Primordus army underground so I think its very unlikely Primordus has anything to do with Scarlet and her plans
but hey anything is possible so who knows
You’re referring to the “epic” rank bosses. True, Rhendak the Crazed is only a champion. I think it would be cool to have a world boss that required coordinated attacks from both water and land at the same time.

as someone who does enjoy the Underwater content in the game I would like to see more of it
and some underwater Epic world bosses would be very welcome
My own idea for Behemoth would be a semi underwater boss
you would fight him on platforms floating in the water weakening him down to make him collapse
at that point you could either range him from the platforms or jump in the water and Melee him
it would work much like Teq having various phases to complete
and a stun phase in which he collapses and takes massive damage
it would also add for some fun mechanics to Behemoth like sending small waves to knock players into the water as well as smashing the platforms so they would need to be repaired before you can stand on them again
Portals would also spawn in water which would release a new Underworld Underwater Mob to occupy those fighting in the water
Mobs would aim to destroy the floating platforms so Water teams would need to destroy them
you could even add a player cap to the platforms so that they will sink if too many people stand on them :P
That said he would still be a lvl 15 Zone boss so he would in no way be super hard like Teq is
But I think most of the epic world bosses are far too easy
Fire Ele is a much bigger pain to take down than a lot of them thanks to the low level of the players and the sheer barrage of serious AOE dmg he creates
I’d like to see Behemoth get a upgrade because he is laughably weak compared to nearly all the Epic world bosses
My Idea of Flooding queensdale is just one scenario that would give the developers a opportunity to upgrade him
plus I love the idea of blowing up those Dams and drastically changing the map
of course preserving the starting area hearts and skill points etc is something that will need to be taken into account
they could change some of them without much trouble
the Living world is supposed to change the game world after all so changing the requirements of a few Skill points and heart quests now and again isn’t something that would bother me as a player
if anything I would like that a lot since maps would feel different when exploring them again
as someone with 10 Characters completing the maps over and over gets very boring so i’d welcome the change
Time Travel isn’t exactly something new to Guildwars
during the Asuran personal story it is possible to get a scenario in which you encounter yourself from an alternate future and defeat him/her
You also encounter your creations from the future in that mission which are the steam monsters hinting that your alternate future is the origin of these creatures
there are also several cases of looking into the past and future within Gw lore which more or less supports that time travel is a possible thing in the Gw universe

There’s already an underwater world boss, but people don’t play it very often because it takes some effort to get to. It’s at the end of Flame Temple Tombs and requires about 5 players to beat.

What Im thinking of though is something on the scale of Fire Elemental, Shadow Behemoth and the Dragon Champions etc

we don’t have anything like that in Gw2
She is after the Laylines that much we know
it’s more than likely she plans to harvest the magical energy in those laylines and use it for something
I have my own theory backed by what has been shown in game that she plans to use it to awaken Mordemoth
how I do not know but I am certain that the creature she has been in contact with in her nightmares is the Jungle Dragon Mordemoth
there is also the simple possibility that she just wants to make super weapons out of it
The dragon painted across the ceiling in her Lair was a significant hint at that Mordemoth is somehow connected to all this though so im more inclined to put my money on that
I have to agree with Mad Queen Malafide.7512 though that Abbadon is not coming back
he was completely destroyed and Komir used the gift the gods give her to absorb Abbadon’s unbound magic that broke free from his destroyed body and set out to destroy everything
Upon absorbing this Magic Komir became a God
If Abbadon somehow survived in any way he is no longer a god nor is he anywhere near as powerful as he once was
As for Dhuum little is know about him in Gw2
We know he has repeatedly tried to break out over the years but not whether he was successful
the fact that people can be revived supports that he was not
Dhuum was a big fan of perminant death after all
but we certainly can’t use that as evidence in Gw2 lol
My best guess is that he was successful once the gods fell silent
there has been no action from the gods in soo long that many think they have abandoned the world or that the awakening of the Elder Dragons has cut them off
the Dragons do predate the Gods and Im willing to bet that they are more powerful as well
I would think that thanks to Grenth’s absence from Tyria Dhuum would have managed to break free and take control of the Underworld
without heroes to fight and put him back to sleep there is nothing stopping him from breaking free
with the Gods silence access to the Underworld became very difficult despite the barriers between the Underworld and Tyria becoming so weak
my best guess is that Access to the underworld is being blocked by something in the underworld
and Dhuum is the only thing I could think of that would be powerful enough to do that
The only Area of the Underworld we can go to in Gw2 is the Mad Realm of Mad King Thorn
but that is only because we are invited to it for Good old pumpkin head’s amusement
since the only way to Access the Underworld was from the Temple of Ages I highly doubt that is what Scarlet is looking for in Lions Arch..
the Karka are little more than pests driven from the depths like the Krait and Quaggen by the Deep sea dragon
they have no relation to anything that’s going on besides reminding people that there is a Dragon swimming around the ocean up to no good
I have a R.A.T.7 Mouse that has two buttons for the thumb
I use them as my F1 and target nearest enemy buttons
I’ve also assigned my Mouse wheel burron as my dodge ^^
I’ve been playing with this control style for over a year now and I couldn’t imagine playing without it lol
I hope they don’t do another personal story. I’d love to see a living story where we hunt for the dragon in Magumma jungle. The idea of visiting strange new lands, meeting new people and killing them sounds delightful. It would be interesting if they could open a new region each month, bringing us closer and closer to the finale.
The problem with that is that once the living story is complete players can no longer play that content
The living world could contain elder Dragons but at most It will be limited to one of them with the very last Living world chaptor being a replayable final encounter with it
because of that the only way to fight the other dragons would be the personal story
If they kill off multiple Elder Dragons with the living world it would make newer players down the road feel very left out that they missed it
Actually, the tengu are a future playable race and they come from a
n expansionland where the level cap is 100, not 80. They also have a tier of gear that is two tiers higher than ascended, it’s calledMythicTrahearnded and it requiresyour first bornAether Damask which is made by combining 100 Damask, a Molten Jet Pack anda legendary rarity item called "Logan’s Courage15 Vision Crystals, all on a monthly timer. They also use a new stat combination more powerful than Berserker called Rurick, rumour is it’s the ultimate in recklessness and glass cannon, I’m not sure about the damage, the changes to dodge roll and enemy AI made content so challenging, no-one is able to live long enough to tell us about the damage.
In addition to 20 levels of moar power, the tengu get a damage bonus for firing down at a location. Drop a penny off of a tall building and it can kill a man (it’s a science fact, don’t question it), imagine what a fully Trahearned Rurick sniper (new class because rangers had to be removed when karka became tameable) can do with a gravity damage modifier (a new mechanic introduced when Scalret… oh yeah spoilers)?

Personally I Don’t think Scarlet is going to get killed off just yet
I got the Horns and I have gathered some Heirlooms since then
I have heard that there is a rumor floating about claiming there is going to be a Angel wing or Devil wing potion added in the next patch..
I have no idea if this is based on any facts or evidence but it is something I would really want
im going to stack another 250 Heirlooms just incase this does happen
if not then I’ll just get the Halo instead
It’s just a theory but Mordemoth has not even been confirmed to exist either and I only thought up this theory based on the evidence I’ve seen in game
Yes people I have spent a great deal of time there and it is my favorite map
but through all my time there I have noticed something and I just wanted to throw this idea out there as something that could happen in a Living Story update in the future
Wouldnt it just be terrible if those two Dam’s should happen to get destroyed…
tons of water smashing it’s way through Queensdale completely flooding it turning it into a mostly water based area..
I think this is definitely doable as many of the main parts of this map would survive
The eastern side of the map would suffer minimal damage since it’s mostly high ground so the dungeon would be fine
However the low lands in the western and South Western part of Queens would be utterly destroyed
but what really interests me about this is that the Swamp would also be flooded
This would lead to the Shadow Behemoth boss needing to be redesigned and the players would now have to battle him with their Underwater setups allowing for something that has not been done in GW2 yet
a Underwater or Semi- Underwater Wolrd Boss battle
could have a few floating platforms here and there with cannons on them that Behemoth can destroy or something like that
This also opens up the way for new areas of the game to be added
namely the Woodland Cascades by Swimming North through the destroyed Eastern Dam or perhaps even the Underworld once the New and improved Shadow Behemoth is destroyed he creates a Vortex upon death that pulls players into the Underworld if they go too close to it :P
Anyway this is just one idea I have for how the living world can effect such a dramatic change on a map
ever since the Toxic Nightmare content I’ve been very excited about the living world and how much it can change the entire face of the world map
the Escape from Lions Arch content is definitely the most dominant expression of this so it’s got me thinking about things that I could see possibly happening in the game so I just wanted to share my favorite one ^^

I have my own theory on this and it does follow many of the other theories about Mordemoth
I believe Mordemoth has been kept a tight lipped secret because he is going to be the main antaganist of the Living world
Scarlets Lair and Journal hint at the Creature that has been tormenting her in her nightmares is in fact Mordemoth
scarlet mentions seeing this creature and describes it by ‘soo much power’
she has also made several paintings around her secret lair
the most noticable one being the giant dragon painted accross the ceiling
What is Curious though is that All of the currently awakened Dragons share a common trait
they are all destroyers wielding elements of destruction
Jormag’s Ice
Primordus’s Fire
Zhaitan’s Death
Sea Dragon’s Water
Kralkatorrik’s Crystal and Lightning
Moredemoth However is a Dragon of Nature..and doesn’t quite fit
My Theory is that the Elder Dragons are Tyria’s natural form of a reset button
much like the Dragons in Reign of fire
once the races of the world start to have too much of an impact (Mostly seen with the Dredge, Charr and Asura)
the 5 Dragons of Destruction awaken and destroy the world then they go back to sleep
Moredemoth then awakens and replenishes the world with life destroying the remaining Minions of the other dragons before going back to sleep itself
I believe that Moredemoth is actually more powerful than all the other dragons which is one reason why Scarlet is soo interested in it
I believe that Scarlet is after the magical enegry in the Laylines under Lions arch and her plan is to use that energy to Awaken Moredemoth and use him to destroy the remaining Elder Dragons
Scarlet’s hints at how Tyria needs her tend to support this and bringing an end to this madness I believe she is talking about the world in general
When she entered Omadd’s device and before being driven insane by it she saw the insurmountable challenge of the future and her people’s part in it — the sylvari of the tree and the Nightmare Court, Caithe and Faolain — all part of a grand design
All Sylvari connected in one future.. which heavily suggest’s that the theory on Sylvari being Dragon Minions is actually true or close to it
Scarlets mission is to bring about the destruction of the world which includes the other Elder Dragons and create a Utopia for the Sylvari and only the Sylvari
Moredemoth being a Dragon of Nature (much like the Sylvari themselves) and if indeed he is the one that brings nature back to the world once it’s been destroyed would be something that if I am I correct about this theory
Scarlet would look upon as a God which would make her it’s champion or prophet in her eyes

I just wanted to give my thoughts on the future of the living story
to which has been quite boring but these last few updates have been epic

I’ve double checked it against most E-mails i’ve got for gem confirmation etc and it’s identical to all of them
if it’s a phishing e-mail they’ve managed to disguise the real sender address somehow which only makes this more dangerous
I have to admit that I do not care for scarlet at all
at first I really enjoyed the living story but over the year I found it to be getting rather dull
the concept of Living story is great but I feel the enjoyment of the new chapters vanishes quite quickly for me
all that is really left at the end is a bunch of achievements which feel a bit grindy for me
I still make a point of trying to complete the living story arc’s although for the most part I do it for the achievement points and nothing else
some of the rewards we’ve gotten are vile tbh
I loved the style of guildwars one and guildwars 2 at first but all this steampunk themed gear is really starting to get on my nerves
jetpacks, gas masks, Aetherblade skins.. I hate it and it looks utterly stupid.. it feels like trying to force Bioshock’s theme into the Elder Scrolls world so to speak..
Im doubt im alone in thinking this but to me the Living story feels more like work than fun most of the time
specially when the more group related content is not played as group related content
the Tower of nightmares for example is the most recent case of every man for himself content
groups of people running through the mobs to get to the top quicker thus always resorting in a few players being singled out and destroyed by mobs of npc’s
I do find it annoying when people play this way
group designed content being run through and if you fall behind you get left behind
this is not how this content was ment to be played and is partly why I dislike some of the living world content
Hey Guys I recieved a E-mail on 2nd January claiming that my GW2 account had been involved in the sale of in game items for real world cash and has been temporarily closed
I have not played Gw2 in the last week or so and to my knowledge only accessed the game once for about 10 minutes
I logged in today after discovering the E-mail to find my account active and my items/bank untouched
but I am now concerned about my account being hacked somehow as I cannot find anything to say the E-mail is fake
and since I have not played lately I cannot say for sure if my account was temporarily closed at some point in the last few days
I must note that I have never nor will I ever resort to selling stuff in MMO’s for cash and I always take the time to report those who do when I find them
if anyone else has had similar E-mails or if this e-mail is legit in anyway I’d just like some peace of mind knowing if it’s just a well constructed fake E-mail or a mistake on Anet’s part or if I was indeed hacked while on a temporarily break from playing the game
