I bumped into Overflow on a dark and stormy evening just as the bells from the clock tower began to chime their one note echoing song, signaling to the small townsfolk that we were all one hour closer to death. So to seek death Overflow and I went. Fortunately is wasn’t ours we found.
lol. I just assumed her lips weren’t supposed to move.
I have to do some more investigation, but I think it’s a bug that’s tied to how the game generates lip flap at runtime. It’s possible that the way in which she was implemented during the flythrough bypassed that system. I think it’s safe to say that her mouth should have moved during that cinematic.
AH, so that’s why she was flapping her lips without flapping her lips!
I think Skrittman would probably drive some old broken down piece of skritt. (<— This is why Skrittman would be a bad idea… people like me with childish minds.)
Glad you liked it.
So, if I may ask Mr. Stein, … more to come? (Regarding this incident…)
I don’t believe we’ve seen the last of Hobo-Tron.
How about a Hobo-tron plushie in the BLTP?
Good news is welcome, looking forwards to more Hobo-tron! (Amazing the following the little guy is developing, isn’t it?)
Glad you liked it.

As Vayne stated, nothing you’re getting from Living Story content is making you more powerful (therefore required to progress) in GW2. Basically, the big difference is this: In GW2, you’re rewarded if you do. In treadmill games, you’re punished if you don’t.
There will be no GW3 from what I hear. At least… there are no plans for it.
Anyone who claims to have seen the meaning of life would be mentally unstable.
I saw it… thought it was rather funny. Like this skit here.

I don’t chase the zerg.
I give them intelligent escort for no additional charge.
She is Buggy the Clown’s sister.
The truth is out there.
No. You’re all alone.
I think I figured out why some player are getting lots of spam (and phishing) from the email address noreply@guildwars.com (and not from guildwars2.com).
The spf of the domain ‘guildwars.com’ is invalid:
- “v=spf1” “include:mailgun.org” “?all”
should be
- “v=spf1 include:mailgun.org ~all”
(like guildwars2.com)
Cheers
PS: Please notify me upon fixing. That’s interesting. I’m not sure if we can make the changes suggested, but I’ve passed it along to the team responsible for sending out our emails. Thanks!
Well someone has fixed it already.
guildwars2.com. 428 IN TXT “v=spf1 include:mailgun.org ~all”
Yep, thanks to Uman’s report, we got on that right away. This is an example of how great it is to have forums and to have such helpful players! ~major props~
Don’t forget having an amazing support liaison that’s paying attention and in communications with the community as well.
Not a bad gig for a frog, eh?
None of these are real issues. There are more important things to apply resources to.
I did it twice, it was ok, but there are more fun things to do.
better solution:
Don’t tie the event to Arah…. Then we know that there won’t be any legitimate progressionists that are completing the event. Easy to tell the griefers from the players that way.
As I said…griefing is griefing. Doesn’t matter which side you’re on.
Completing an event that is intended to be completed is never going to be taken as griefing. Insulting players, however, that are trying to complete the event could get you in trouble.
Griefers like you make the community a very hostile place. I can only hope Anet will see these responses and properly ban those who are harassing farmers for no other reason then trying to make people mad.
Griefers like me? I only made a simple statement of fact without offering any personal opinions one way or the other.
Masculinity is obviously best shown by the size of ones ears. The larger the better of course. That, and a superior intellect when compared to not only the bookahs roaming the world but among your own kind as well. Brains will always trump brawn, but it is nice to have laborer species about.
Oh, and nothing, and I mean nothing, screams masculinity like a well-stocked lab.

I manage to have fun on trebs, especially when firing on an enemy building counter-siege or open field siege and being able to turn quickly and take it out, crushing their hopes and dreams. It does get a bit monotonous against a wall from a safe position, but there are times it can also be a blast.
So here we are, a year later, and not only have they not had to merge or close servers, they’re actually still having to raise the caps on the existing ones. I could be wrong, but I imagine it’s a very exclusive list of MMOs that have lasted this long and still had to deal with the phenomena of more people instead of less.
Seems more they just want to lay in the sun and eat magic than anything else.
Not really. We know Primordus wants to destroy everything, and Zhaitan wants to rule Orr. He has clearly raised it from the depths as his empire, where he rests on top of it as a sort of throne. Zhaitan is a conquerer, Primordus a destroyer, Jormag a corrupter.
Primordus doesn’t want to destroy everything, he simply doesn’t care if everything gets destroyed. Zhaitan doesn’t want to rule Orr, the Orrians happened to build on top of him so it’s a matter of convenience.
We can’t help failing an event if it’s too hard.
Came across this event for the first time since the changes last night and wasn’t aware of the whole “farming” thing there yet. So the embers come up and finally a named champion comes up. Then, oddly enough, everyone starts yelling to stop dpsing the Champion. They were very clear, fail the event and you can farm the champions again, succeed and you’ll have to wait for hours. It wouldn’t have been difficult at all to succeed. As a matter of fact, as soon as the event failed message appeared everyone burned him down in seconds.
So no. Be honest. No one is failing because of difficulty, they’re deliberately failing because of the farming and giving people a ton of grief if they try to succeed. (I was called a troll for not knowing to stop dps at that point.)
Last week I think it was we had four servers hitting full and at least most of the rest very high, but now it’s six very high and the rest high. Was there a bump in server cap that anyone’s aware of? (There is that free weekend coming up…)
It would be nice for someone from ANet to come in and take a well-deserved bow… <hint>
I know that what happens in the Mystic Forge is all mysterious and such, but this is not where babies come from. :-P
- Takes shopping cart full of stuffed animals, turns, and slowly walks away…
Stop asking guys. Just wait. Its only 2 weeks away.
This is Guild Wars 2. You can miss a lot in two weeks.
Meanwhile… in Hoelbrak…
Somewhat related, if you’re even thinking of being in the Seattle are this year during PAX: you absolutely will not want to miss our ArenaNet PAX event. Not only will it include our PvP championship live on stage, we’ll have some other reveals you’re not going to want to miss…stay tuned! (and no the reveal is not an expansion!)
Finally you get to reveal to the world that Necromancers are getting jetpacks. Right?
This was so random I cracked up. Made my day, thanks!
Seven, with six 80s that all get time in WvW.
This is great news.
I also dont get when people say the game is a ghost town thought. Sure some players have left, always happens in MMOs, but on my server (SoR) i find there to be just as many people playing now, as there was throughout September. They are in different zones now, or in WvW (which almost always has a que) but even the low to mid level zones i aways see people running around, and the Metas usually draw a pretty big crowd.
You’re on SoR so you’ve seen this too (JQ here), but look at the server populations after they’ve raised the cap a few times already… we have at least four hitting Full again. The population is quite healthy.
That trailer they have… gorgeous, is it not? I love it, especially where the guardian is about to be hit…
Colin had mentioned not terribly too long ago that they were close to releasing another sales milestone once they hit a specific target… I wonder what that target is and how that’s going?
For being part of the fastest selling western MMO in history.
Where there’s Mursaat, there’s Agony.
We have agony resist. Hmm…
Whoever built the golem should have the option to eject someone if they took the golem if they wish. Yes, it should probably be a simple they’re out, you’re in thing… but some nice eject animations would be interesting…
That’s actually my fault, sorry everyone, sorry. Little baby quaggan wanted to borrow my paintbrush, how could I say no? I turned around, turned back… well, there you go. Now this Scarlett chick is trying to ride my coattails… sheesh.
Anyone else get Dr. Who vibes reading that?
Tick tock, goes the clock
Even for the Doctor.Scarlet is a Time Lord. Calling it now.
Wouldn’t that make all Sylvari Time Lords? Which means Trahearne is also
.
Could be a title as opposed to a race if the major surprise were to be the release of the Chronomancer… which would be an amazingly well kept secret. Imagine if they actually snuck a new profession in, after saying a new profession would be the least likely thing we’d see in the near future? It’s unlikely I think, but the wow factor would be off the charts.
Anyone else get Dr. Who vibes reading that?

OK, if that’s what they called the head of the Chronomancers my inner geek would explode all over the internet. In a good way of course.
Anyone else get Dr. Who vibes reading that?
Tick tock, goes the clock
Even for the Doctor.
Logan sends his thanks, and a Ferrari.
Where is this “zerg down the orb” info coming from if I may ask?
His imagination.
Oh… I don’t think I want to see more then. <shudder>
Where is this “zerg down the orb” info coming from if I may ask?
..but i’d like something earth shattering to happen …
Oh dude… be careful what you wish for.
It’s quite simple:
A PR takes care of public relations by trying to simply inform the WvW community of Arenanet’s projects in the most ‘’omg look at how much we’re doing’’ way possible.
A coordinator relates the dev’s views on main WvW issues and the community’s views on the same issues. I feel that the WvW team is highly unaware of what we ACTUALLY want, and that’s what we expect from you, Devon, I could care less if I see results but I’d like to know that the game is headed in a direction which WE want, and I simply don’t feel that the devs are doing it right. Contrarily to most, I don’t want to see deadlines, I just want the changes to reflect what the WvW community wants, and that starts with you actually TELLING your team and COMMUNICATING, asking for CLARIFICATIONS from the community, rather then decide everything by yourselves (the devs). THAT is the job of a coordinator. What we are seeing; supply mastery and trebuchet mastery, and simply STATING things without really COMMUICATING back and forth with the community, is what PR is.
You’re inflated sense of self-worth is borderline amusing. Also the way you assume a vocal minority of forum posters speak for everyone, absolutely adorable. Now hush while I bask in this warm glow.
By the way… does anyone else recall a different game where the devs have been as communicative as this one? I can’t. Wah, they didn’t say what I demanded them to say. Please.
Sounds like a crazy, sadistic villain (like the Joker).
I can’t wait! So, the one who opposes the self absorbed megalomaniac monarch with a knack for bloodsports, who erected a gigantic colosseum over the burnt down homes of canthan refugees is the crazy sadistic villain?
Not for initially opposing, no, but for sending this kind of aggressive message, sure. She does sound crazy and sadistic. Scarlet seems to think that killing people and spreading chaos is a lot of fun. Also, villains that act like if our days were numbered by using the sounds of a clock for that, like if it was a joke, usually are pretty sadistic. Also, the rhymes.
But maybe I’m biased because Dr. Seuss’s stories used to creep me out when I was little.
She sounds a lot like a member of the Nightmare Court, no?
Scarlett has it out for Jenna because of her secret crush on Logan. It’s not Jenna that’s going to be captured, but Logan instead. At the end, however, Logan will escape and a broken Scarlett will be crying “Logan, Logan, if you leave, where will I go? What will I do?” To which he’ll reply “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a dam.”
Can people please stop talking about Jenna dieing, its not gonna happen! it would ruin the personal story, remember?
Logan, stop posting on an alt account, ’k?
“I regret nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Tick tock goes the clock
Even for Queen Jenna…
