I’d like SAB back, I’d absolutely LOVE a harder Tribulation Mode.

Tee-hee…
Welcome to post-2000. We’re in 2014, and this is an *M*MORPG.
Maturing weapons got to be the funniest thing I’ve ever done in old MMORPGs.
“funniest”?
I worded it wrongly, I meant like cool, not “funny” (as in stupid)… what I mean is that I really enjoyed maturing weapons so they would acquire “power” to become a fine ultimate weapon.
I am also available on JQ if u need it.
I currently have:
- Krait Obelisk
- Candy Corn
- Quartz Crystal
- Watchwork Sprockets
- Copper
- Silver
- Gold.
I’m thinking about buying that basic ore node pack, but I never remember to mine these things.

I’ve suggested it long ago but got buried under pile of not very interesting threads… I suggested what I named “cosmetic progression”, average hard to craft recipes that would require very rare drops from each dungeon.
Say, I have AC greatsword, a plain model, with a bit of crafting I could apply effects to it, and the same would go for every piece of armor, but that would take time (specially since dungeons got time-gated reward-wise). They could make a large rock with inscriptions carved and name it something cool like “Enchantment Tablet”, in a cool RPG-themed crafting system (apart from the original one).
Game needs moar magic!

The only way to unlock a skin is to
- Salvage
- Destroy
- Throw into Mystic Forge
- Right click on item and select “unlock skin” (this account binds the item)
- Equip
Just crafting the item does not unlock the skin.
Thank you, completely forgot about account binding.
Reviewing EotM patch + Feature Pack, I must admit I’m having fun with the game again, I kindly thank ANet for their effort while I wait the next LS Season.
PS.: Please, do a badkitten Elder Dragon if it has to come (I could wait a bit more while the devs develop the world better, but since people want EDs so much…).
Simply put: I have already crafted these items through discovery, but they appear as locked skin, will I have to spend more gold to craft them again to unlock them?
7/10, it’s kind of exotic and I prefer single names!
Mine’s Kallyah, a sylvari elementalist so white she blinds everyone around whenever the sun touches her… skin?
PS.: No rules for the name, I just prefer single names.
Sylvari are more original than all currently available races: human (rofl), norn (big human), charr (kitties), asura (short people that resembles ETs), etc.
YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS OF MY FABULOUS GLOW THAT BLINDS YOUR ENVY! u.u
Ele S/D 30 fire 30 arcana= 25xmight all the time with perma 1min.+ fury, both AoE. Excuse me? Oh forgot we got a aoe heal+cond. removal+regeneration.
I find it laughable that ANet puts more chance to earn good loot and legendaries (cough tournament of legends cough) into sPvP to drag people into it, instead of actually polishing it.
The cumulative success/fails is a good idea, but could be expanded upon not to become so simplistic by mixing in a few more elements like inter-relationship among a set of event-based conditions, average players’ levels, average players’ classes, etc. In case of long chains that end up with a boss, tune it to become real mad according to a very specific condition that needs to be unveiled by the community (even if it’s a kittene that could take time, or would be weekly) that could have a more reasonable chance of dropping good stuff (maybe it’s time to introduce cosmetic progression with a token- or material-based + crafting layout).
Assemblying conditions based on events, cumulative successes/fails, players’ data, time-gating (not long though, weekly is fine), and rare elements would turn the events more worth doing and engaging in a sense of exploration and risk vs. reward.
Thoughts?
I vaguely remember that it was said this will only affect PvP chests.
If it does not it should only effect PvP chests.
Why?
Revamp the challenge/IA so that it fits the finely crafted combat to engage us into CHALLENGING content, instead of zerged stuff or HP chesters. (hint: this could be easily solved with instances)
We’re getting close to May, there was a statement they’d release new information about Scavenger Hunter at some point in this year (2014). Let’s see.
Make it only for PvE/WvW, and falling off cliffs doesn’t count. If they “farm” it somehow then whatever, because people can trick into getting many achievements, not a big deal considering how things are as of now.
Grenth’s Servant!
@Edit
Make it different depending on race! lol
I used to regularly play 2-6 levels above my char level prior to patch. If memory serves, what you’re describing was always the case.
Pretty much this, and they’ve also said they made mobs easier to kill (check AC for instance).
They won’t be acknowledging flaws every kitten time because they can spend that time fixing stuff and it’s not good speech for the company as a whole, I just wish the next Feature Pack gets renamed to “Bug-fixing Pack”, I’ll be wholeheartedly grateful for that.
Convince? They can’t even be persuaded lol! And no, this doesn’t make sense, I don’t want heavies wearing our glorious light armors.
Fondest memory? Missing the November 2012 Karka chest due to disconnect while watching the laughable drop rate of precursors for like more than half of GW2’s population.
PS.: Yeah, bitter feelings.
hehehe.
Placed a buy order of 843 Gold on “the Legend”
Decided to withdraw that one cuz well..it took too long (yes..I am impatient)
Bought 20 Monsoons and 20 bramblethone for the insane amount of around 3G each
At the Mystic toilet on the 4th try…I got The Legend…so now I was overjoyed and salvaged the rest..
one happy bugger here!
I hate you so badly. :’(
You know, the thread title is funny because “ele” means “he/him” in my language, and it’s like “Ele (he) healing herself”. lol
They waited for the reset to roll out before applying the fix, that’s genious man, I’m genuinely astonished.
It’s been 4-5 days that Spool of Thick Elonian Cord’s timer doesn’t reset, it keeps auto-refreshing and I can’t craft the component needed to craft my backpiece… I’d appreciate if you guys could look into it, thank you so much.
Pay-to-win… hahaha, not really, it just makes it easier to retry stuff and it’s acc-bound.
Since Sayeh al’Rajihd I’m totally in love, I’ve read about them in the wiki and checked all Kotaki’s arts. When do you guys predict we’ll see them? Only in Bubbles patch? I hope that some day we will be able to play as largos, I think of many many customization options for them and their lore is strong and mysterious.
What do you guys enjoy the most about them? What appearances already in the game really ticked your curiosity about them?
Getting a precursor… never had that feeling. Still waiting on the promise of scavenger hunt, all other gifts are finished (even with all that mystic clover RNG).
It’s funny when you see these PvP tournaments giving free legendaries, things must be really bad in this area.
I have my clovers and gifts done as well. In retrospect I’d have skipped it all and not water my time money and effort.
From a programming standpoint, a computer cannot give a truly random number so I’d like to know exactly how they determine who gets a golden ticket.
Nah, they can download True Random Numbers from a generator server, or use Mersenne Twister that advanced a bit about the randomness (just google it, not too old).
True random using the noise from the universe because it’s unpredictable would give the best results. The drops don’t appear random so I doubt that’s in use.
For some areas maybe… I still think that at least champion loot bags rolls the table from a true random generated number.
Guild Wars 2: Too Little, Too Late
Hey that’s a song from my beloved bostonian JoJo. <3
I’d like an event fairy.
One that shouts “Hey! Listen!” every time a World boss is going to come up.
Maaan! I remember from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, you could have a Fairie Familiar who would say there’s something “funny about this wall” (or something) whenever you were close to a secret passage hidden by a breakable wall.
+1 for the Fairy!
They could give us some kind of easter event… but they are to busy ruining game for some players =)
They bring new features as a manner to polish, but it turns out this polish will need to be polished even further… that’s way too much polish-fix-polish-fix-polish-fix-polish…
It will, I love SAB, it’s one of the kinds of challenge that makes me happy. Josh is the man!
Hopefully at least MF does impact drops better than before to compensate, they’re slowly turning farming methods scarce as if no one was noticing. I simply hate with a passion having to TP, I don’t enjoy it, I know other people like but I do not, I don’t want to feel forced to play the way they want me to in order to progress towards my legendary that’s totally kittened in the first place.
Sincerely, a CBT pre-purchaser player.
