I’m going to hunt them all… ohh so bloody. Every. Single. SAB. Skin. I LOVE SAB! :@
This is the most f**** awesome addition!! I’m about to wet my pants!
Runes are the suffix though, I’m talking about prefixes :p
It would imbalance imo… specially since trinkets give a lot of attributes.
Yellows have a chance of a precursor, because if they have a chance of exotic and since precursors ARE exotic quality, then there’s a chance for it to be a precursor.
I’d like to know from him: in your opinion, what area of the game needs more care and why?
There are already runes… what I’d like to see are class-specific buffs when applying “gems” to armor, it would add some extra coolness.
Character progression is in the gemstore. Have you purchased all it has to offer?
That’s mean… but it’s the bitter truth. Lol.
They could send this to newcomers… but we know cash shop exists, and we know what’s on sale in gemstore every now and then. It kinda ruins their image, I agree.
This community is getting pretty ridiculous, everything people ask for other people complain: housing, mounts, marriage system. It amazes me how close-minded you people are.
Ooo got it working. Second code must be newer than first, duh!
Hi, I installed Mobile Authenticator in the hopes of strengthening my acc security but sometimes the code I enter doesn’t validate… now I’m trying to unlink it so it does not bother me anymore and it says the first code is invalid… what is going on? I’m afraid someone may steal my account
I believe the intended price for precursors should be capped around 500g at the very maximum. The post above mine just shows how KITTENING messed up this thing is getting, to a point it becomes ridiculous.
You want an enforced cap on the Trading Post? No thank you. The only reason precursors are so bloody high on the market is because people are buying them at high prices.
Want them to go down? Okay, stop rewarding the high sellers. Don’t buy from them. Wait and let them suffer.
I didn’t mean to imply that. I meant the whole process should be worth that amount, like if we were to farm matts to craft the precursor it should be worth around 500g. I take for example the crude gold-to-item Icy Runestones requirement as a parameter (100g in total).
Let’s see if fixing aura bug lessens the desire of obtaining legendaries.
I still need my Blitz completions too, so I’ll be there for a while. I also plan on throwing myself against Liadri a lot over the weekend, so I’ll help out with Blitzes when I need a break before I smash something in frustration.
I beat her with condi. thief, regen when under stealth helps a lot as well as caltrops upon dodging (with food of 40% endurance regen). I wish you good luck!
What do you mean by “became”? Are you joking? It’s always been like this.
well, i blame the community a bit. I find it odd the community always tries to complain about bad loot and nerfed farmed farming spots. Other players complain about the challenge. What is left? Basically, I keep finding that people would want a grind to make themselves rich in game.
Errr…why cant we play for fun and skins?
Because skins are in gemstore (weapons/armor with every update).
sigh Nothing is ever good enough for some…..
Because those who don’t have Eternity will benefit from this, right?
Sheep mentality is amusing.
I completely agree with you. Sheep mentality IS amusing. For example: Sheep seem to think it takes ALL of ArenaNet staff to stop what they’re doing to fix one weapon. Always makes me laugh when non-developers talk about developer time.
Dare I ask you to educate yourself on such matters before you speak of them?
Gold.
Loot is a key part of the MMORPG genre.
Itemization* is. Guild Wars 2 lacks item depth a lot.
What do you mean by “became”? Are you joking? It’s always been like this.
Just wanna drop this here.
Seems like buying a precursor is starting to get meaningless. Better sell your mats and buy the finished legendary, huh..The last 58 Dusks sold for an average of 1152g (by 54 unique sellers).
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Dusk-2000g/first#post4048636
Edit: those 58 dusks sold within the last 60 hours.
Around 64k inflating the market even more. ’Cause balancing economy iz for teh weak!
As an elementalist, I find it fair enough. Thank you, ANet. u.u
I CAPS LOCK when I mean it, but yeah, since they replace the word I just type kitten.
Still, I’d like to see how testing happens behind the scenes.
I believe the intended price for precursors should be capped around 500g at the very maximum. The post above mine just shows how KITTENING messed up this thing is getting, to a point it becomes ridiculous.
“maybe one day we can do a podcast about that and I can explain how that works.”
I’m so looking forward to that.
They’ve exaggerated a bit on footstep effects, more of that and it’ll be on pair with rainbow-pooping unicorn particlefest.
I love SAB puzzles… that’s why I want it back, that’s the kind of content I personally like and it’s somehow rewarding (even repeating it wasn’t all that bad because it’s kitten hilarious!).
Soloing a dungeon is not an option, it’s 5-man content, but I agree with the others.
And now you see the result of cash shops vs subs.
I honestly think if this game was released with a sub – it would have went in a totally different direction.
So tired of the cash grabs and anet.
Such wasted potential with this game.
ArenaNet developed an awesome game. Pretty fast-paced and cool combat, a stunning art direction, a huge lore background they can work on, but… they simply does NOT know how to design itemisation and economy. We’ve seen it, no more proof needed, just hire someone who can design it better.
I think if every high level player that ran QD Champ Train goes to Orr, Anet’s goals will have been met. Note they did NOT nerf Champ Train rewards any farther, just removed all Champs from Starter Zones. It is a location specific change, not an activity/reward change.
Claiming that PvE is being “attacked” by the Devs is just another massive exaggeration that this forum is famous for….
I get that Orr is a lvl 80 zone, but isn’t the whole point of down-leveling in this game to encourage max levels players to play in all the zones, and not just lvl 80 zones?
True, but the WHOLE zone not just 5 little pieces of it and ignore the rest.
yeah, you’re right. I guess it would be unfair to let players figure out for themselves where they would like to spend their time.
I introduce you: the cosmetic progression and puzzle driven questlines to obtain various weapon/armor skins throughout zones, being locked to 80s. No wait…
I’ve been playing since head start and have yet to see any, even back then when precursors were worth a few golds… I understand how touching drop rates would imbalance economy, and I unfortunately have no idea besides increasing the chance if you have that Gift of <Weapon> in your bag, since it shows you’ve been dedicating your time to farm all the monstrous amount of stuff…
If precursors/legendaries weren’t sellable, the whole game would breathe a different economy. I mean, just look at other weapons such as Mjolnir and Xanthium being more desirable than most legendaries.
I do not understand why in the hell you would continue to play this game if you really feel the developers are this evil. I suspect most just want to whine but it paints a funny picture.
“This game is horrible! I’m only going to play 6 hours a day instead of 7!”
Until something worth playing comes out.
ArenaNet fails at item depth, ’nuff said. That is one thing I miss from WoW.
There you go, the pinnacle of the game: Gemstore Wars 2. Enjoy all skin progression (which is the only progression available in the game for PvE’rs) being stuck into the real money cash shop.
Open World= zergfest. By zerg I mean lots of people with particle effects crashing PCs all around, and 98% of the zerg events can be done by mindless people. And when it isn’t done by brainless zergs, you hit megaserver crap preventing you from doing a mega boss such as Teq/Wurms, so either way we’re cursed for the time being and got to pray for “The world you’re trying to join is full.” god.
Let me say my golden statement: So much for open world…

Man I mixed up stuff and ended up with a carrion thief with that dual-wield skill that applies torment (since she roams the room) as well as anything that could bring torment, it was quite effective!
Some necros told me it was hell easier with necro, might try that this time ’round.
Don’t change the difficulty. Don’t change the difficulty. Don’t change the difficulty. Don’t change the difficulty.!!
Seriously, it took me 4 characters and testing approximately 3 builds in each till I could beat her, why people want stuff easier?
I’d like to see something like Catacombs of Juneau (Allods Online) in GW2, but I think it’s against the phylosophy of cooperation… still an awesome feature, a big confusing labyrinth where players face each other in “warparties” to earn goodies in the end, and if they ever make it alive from the labyrinth there’s a chance to face a powerful boss at the end (suited for a warparty size, which implies a maximum of 10) which can drop tokens for exclusive wings.
Now that I look back, Catacombs of Juneau’s atmosphere resembles Plains of Ashford’s Guild Puzzle.
Sounds a lot like Lunatic Inquisition without the big payout at the end.
Now that you mention it, yes it does. But Catacombs of Juneau was more “closed”, not open skies, like a real dungeon by itself. There were ancient magic-empowered robots made out of stones and mystical bricks, assassins hidden in the shadows, etc. There were about 5 floors that would deceive you very easily, some doors would only open if certain switches were pressed making it very hard to proceed as the combinations were random. (yes, it was a pandemonium! and only once a week, making it a much frequented feature back then)
