While I’d like a non-trench coat option, I can’t say I don’t enjoy a good looking trench coat … But could we have one this time that actually looks good?
You know … Or maybe this … Or even this
While we do have some interesting medium armors, and even some decent trench coats… We have a lot of “lacking” ones as well… For example Conquest armor looks patently stupid, Studded armor makes any character look like an offspring of the michelin man, and Pirate armor has a nasty tendency to ruin any colour you use on it.
But then again this is a normal GW2 tendency when it comes to weapon and armor design. There’s so much concern with the overly exotic and flamboyant that the more “normal” stuff gets neglected.
Those are so beautiful!
… instead of time played? not like they’re hard, but fotm gives nothing, arah gives nothing, no automated spvp tourneys with enormous prizes for winners…
Funnily enough they had achievement like these in the Aeatherblade dungeon. And people raged like mad on these forums about it being “impossible”.
Hold on, Aetherblade was temporary content, people were desperate to get them achievements before it went away, why not have permanent decent challenges like Aetherblade? Even many people saying it was easy, it was not THAT easy just because some did it fast, compared to all the other content hp-based it was a more decent challenge.
I tried but couldn’t make it up to the top, very cool indeed!
I just hope they’re done with this, I’m finished here.
PS.: Not buying GW1.
philosophy they chose.
What philosophy?
Well, no gear treadmill and no sort of progression, many people like the way it is now (explore and redo stuff), but many others don’t.
I have the same problem in most MMOs. Leveling is usually fun for me and end game stuff usually isn’t.
However, I still think my guild has a lot to do with how entertained I am. There’s always someone that needs help in the open world and I go help them and boom, I find something I’ve either never seen before or an event that I’ve not entered from that point in time, or some detail that I either overlooked or perhaps forgot.
I still spend a lot of time in the open world doing events and enjoying them.
I guess the difference is, I really like some of the new stuff that’s come out.
Pretty much this… endgame in most MMOs nowadays is lacking, I can’t figure how it could be better for GW2 given the philosophy they chose.
I’m quite surprised this thread is still up. Didn’t imagine people would be kitten over 500 achievement points. And I don’t even have any from HoM!
Clearly devs are experimenting on new things, like giving out stuff for free! weee

What I’m aiming for.
What rare dye is that? It fits your character very nice!
As long as new legendaries have nothing to do with Achievement Points, because lately many people got screwed.
I would bet that the individuals who have a problem with HoM points have no problem with the infinite ceiling of AP earn-able from daily and monthlies.
I don’t have HoM, and yes, I have absolutely no problem, equality is gold.
Wow everybody is getting radiant here, guess ill be the hipster and get hellfire (oh irony). If only because the helm has a unique look on charr.
It’s not like that, I’m sure most will get Hellfire despite it being too obvious and overused themed everywhere in the game.
I’d like to see you make a sylvari look like that.
No, seriously, I can’t think of any way to get this armor to not look horrible and disproportionate on either my male or female sylvari.
Well I won’t use just because I’m a fan of having a sylvari look like a sylvari, with appropriate leaf armor not human armor.
A sylvari can look brightful, check attachment.
Funny thing is that I have friends who were planning to buy GW1 to get the titles, but then ANet put 500pts. so that you are left behind if you don’t have it, we’re just not buying the game anymore. For some the strategy failed.

What the hell. I think I’ll be going with hellfire…

Well, I think my character looks fabulous in white…
Just take off that monocle and he’ll look awesome!

That character is very ugly anyways hahah
My choice is radiant, enough with flame thingies.
So remove the points from both. I’m drawing benefit from having daily points, and I’m fine with their removal.
Fair.
Because unique skins, unique pets, and unique titles were not enough, greedy goes beyond acceptable levels, what a shame.
I’m not too fond of jump wars myself, especially the ones that kill you for screwing up. What is this? 1987?
Good memories…
I just hope they don’t come up with a lot of individuals absorbing dragons’ magic and forming an Evil Power Rangers group. I am serious.
Never saw anyone soloing Arah till the end.

/facepalm
Legit, now p4 please.
I personally don’t care about leaderboards, but then GW1 players already got skins and pets and titles all over the place, and now they’re ahead of us with this new skin progression introduced in the last patch, and the fact that’s most funny is all this talk about “games are linked through lore and world”. It does not matter. Perhaps they’re not profiting enough and now are trying to force people to buy their other game.
IMHO it’s not fair, but if that’s how they want to treat people who bought their game, feel free to do so…
If they implement this it’ll come inside a Black Lion Chest at a rare (0,01%) chance.
I’m all up for ANet giving more rewards to 50/50 Hom…in GW1, because that’s where you earned it.
Exactly². This thread is pure joke, I can’t take it seriously tbh.
Ugh
I mean, I guess it’s a neat idea, and I wouldn’t want to detract from you wanting something, but I picked it based on how it was ‘now’. It’ll be Rogue Mechanic shorts in TSW all over again (though they fixed that nicely, giving us two copies).
I’m using the staff now, and I can tell you if it glowed so much that it distracted from me getting to ‘see’ my character as I see my character now, that would be a bummer.
But, I guess if you get what you want, all is fair in love and war. I’ll have to burn a Crystal to use something else again, and burn a gold on some skin from the TP.
I believe you didn’t get me, it would glow only when casting skills… it can’t distract if it does a quick glow, also, there are a LOT OF staves without any effect in-game already.
Oh.
I thought you meant sheathed on the back.
Nevermind.
Does sound kinda fun. Extra glowy stuff while fighting is a plus.
I really like how it shrinks down small when it’s sheathed too, and then grows when you go into fighting mode. I wish the top part folded up even more, to be honest.
The reason I’m asking them to change is because when you draw the staff it pops a so beautiful yellowish glow, and it’s a shame it happens only when drawing the weapon, it doesn’t need to stay glowing strong permanently while in fight but when casting skills it would be very cool!
Ugh

Right now Pistol is kinda underwhelming. I think maybe they should do a visual and audio change, where it shoots lightning bolts.
I think that’s too much for these weapons, either add the lightning trail or glow.
Well, seeing as he daggers have no real animation either, I would have to request something for them as well if something for the staff is implemented.
I think lightning trail would fit well for the daggers (I chose daggers too!), the glow suits staff perfectly.
When you walk with shortbow it leaves a trail of lightning, pistols have a different smoke animation upon shooting, shortbows also glow on each attack. Staves only glow when drawing the weapon, would it be possible to at least have it glow on each attack like shortbow?

Okay, title just to attract the devs (let’s see if it works).
So, throughout these temporary updates we’ve been receiving items to remember about these updates (Mad King’s backpack, Marjorie’s Journal, and now an item that shows a view of Zephyr Sanctum), I’d like to suggest another tab in Hero Panel to keep track of these things like a memo pad so we could go over things that passed through the game, I’m aware there are many items to remember them but I think Marjorie’s Journal is an awesome example of memo and should be expanded in some way.
The memo could have the same layout as Personal Story, with tiny books of “stories that have gone”, just to remember Living Story chapters!
Time-gated content, but ANet is surely working this out, I’m looking forward to the future of this game.
Problem lies in challenges, not combat itself, I find combat very fluid and engaging but dungeons and most champions are faceroll.
i felt Adnul was a decent fight. tough, but you had to be very careful. my fight with him was really dragged out, and i got the one drink left achievement against him
was lucky enough to face him once. gonna try again for fun.
Maddie was the worst though! lol, her “wooohoooo” spam was crazy. for a while, i’d get rid of her stacks, waiting to heal up the next round and she’d spam it right away lol. fought her like 6 – 7 times before i beat her. never again. XDDD
Isn’t she as crazy? Hahah had so much fun with all the “wooohooo”
Just BUMPing in the hope some dev sees this, after the race you can’t leave PC to get a drink or stretch or catch fresh air, the game will kick you…
I only managed to beat him with Mango Pie… just don’t tune him down too much, quite a fight.
Jesus this is annoying “achievements in WvW??!?! achievements tied to mini games?!?!? achievements for dailies?!?!? achievements for breathing?!?!!?”, stop complaining about kitten nosenses for God’s sake. It is designed in a way to take part in every area of the game, or else one or another would be excluded from this new reward system, just stop.
This game lacks mechanics? WTF? Evade-System, Combo-System, Event-System … ok they aren’t perfect but they aren’t as usual in any kind of classic MMO (yet). Elder Scrolls Online will rip some of those features from GW2 (even tought I believe it wont succeed with it, but due to different reasons).
Why the hate? Chill out. I do love the game, actually I’m considering staying here depending on what ANet brings since I am a HARDCORE player, there are many solutions to bring hardcores together and they’re on ANet’s hands (suggestions forum hinthint).
Since you misinterpreted me I’ll be more clear, I’m talking about combat and BOSS fights mechanics that create an unique experience that you’ll never forget. For example, talking only about GW2, the dungeons are faceroll easy. AC got my love since update but the path to the end still needs investigation to become better (all the lack of reasons to actually fight trash mobs… skipping forever), the new dungeons (Molten and Aetherblade) got a big smile on my face with a mix of frustration, I laughed when I saw that quality content and brought a little faith in ANet.
All the casual stuff everywhere thrown at your face gets me BORED as 7 hells, I have faith they will do more decent stuff in the future.
Fire comes in more than red and orange, Anet.
That’s very important actually, just changing the color and adapting the particle effects can totally change the look and concept behind a certain armor set.
This game lacks more MECHANICS, this applies to 99% of content, enough said.
Mounts? Seeing people approving this is so contradictory… oh well.
How is it contradictory?
Well, back then I approved it because mounts are a cool feature IMO, but people yelled “lore does not allow, and will make waypoints useless!!!11 LEAVE THEM MOUNTS OUT OF THE GAME! Mounts? Ain’t nobody got time fo’ that!” and such…
Lol what is it’s a tengu, I’ve seen quite a few throughout the game already.
