We learned a lesson here guys, don’t get the enchanted armor if you got to pee.
It’s been like TWO weeks since I got ONE. I mean, really?
How many nodes does your guild have? How many charges do you expend per day? If (like one of my guilds), you only have access to two nodes (consuming 3 pick charges, 1 sickle), 0 in two weeks seems likely to me.
I can mine twice fully, and I go to two guild halls for that, so yeah… they screw up something.
I think raids might need some more serious lore “glue”, but overall I really like the raids.
Hi there!
I’m currently looking for a raid guild, or a PvE guild that offers raid runs, but don’t require 100% rep. My friend and I always play together and we’ve beaten VG thus far, with a few attempts at Gorse, so we’d both commit to raid runs considering our timezone (UTC-3). He can provide a Herald DPS, and I have a Condition Engineer. We’re currently working on alts (me Tempest DPS) so we can swap classes to fit the team needs.
We’re both veterans (my acc dates back closed beta, may, 2012). I’m also a member of Metabattle project.
We’d be more than happy to contribute with a raid team!
PS.: We’re available from 3pm PST on (8pm for us), but we pretty much prefer weekends for raids.
While you’re at it, please fix this same stuttering effect that occurs when watching an in-game cutscene from a third person perspective. The character also stutters up and down. Good time to fix everything as a whole! o>
Timers are the most common stuff, and I personally have no issue with it. Expected. Common. It is ok… move on.
what are you talking about? mordremoth isnt a metaphor hes an elder dragon
pertty muhc.
Though you’ve already talked about it, I’d like to know if you’re still considering putting the season 1 in the game? As far as I know, while you put that small summary, a dev has spoken you’d like to bring it to the game. Would you have permission to tell us if you’re, I dunno, working on it? At least slightly? We have fractals that takes slices of season 1 during two great events (Molten Alliance with Rox ‘n Braham joining forces, and the Aetherblades’ culminating in Mai Trin going to the jail). So it might be possible? There are open world story instances in personal story and living story already, so maybe the Marionette fight could be re-scaled to make it possible to solo? You could add NPCs that mimic the three lanes’ fight, and make the player participation one-lane-only, and make it easier during the platform’s phase…. solely for the purpose of story-telling.
I mean, I’m sure it will be plenty of work, but I’d pay for it even being there when it was first released. I love the ability to replay LS experiences, and a few friends of mine have always dreamed of knowing each step Scarlet made during her episode in the world of Tyria. The Tower of Nightmares is a grand ambient that particularly my guildies are very fans of!
I know that during the early years of GW2 folks complained about Scarlet arc, and that they were too anxious to know the mentor, and maybe at some points they outraged because the story didn’t feel like it progressed, but looking backwards it was (is!) a great story, and it holds much value for me as a player. I really hope you bring it back.
Clear you cache or something
HAHAHAHAH
I’m NA and I’d like an invite aswell: Avalon Code
Thank you!

Just check here. Might give you a notion.
Rebound: For the duration, send back all incoming conditions to their owner. With interests.
I know what you did there! haha
I talked about this very very long ago. IMO “Chaotic Release” from Herald’s Glint elite should be our elite, but alas we got this…
Here is a question to Rubi. What do you do with the question that are not related to the topic, the ones you said you skimmed over. Do you pass them over to the relevant people so that they can have a look at them or have you taken note of them so in future Q&A livestreams on other topics they will be asked? Or are they just Ignored all together?
They are absolutely correct do scrap all non-related questions, because they weren’t requested in the first place. When you are asked to question another specific part of the game, do so, until then all the non-related questions will be ignored. No dev has to pass any question to anyone while they’re off the topic.
So you play games not because they’re fun but because they have great graphics.
Playing a game that has great graphics is part of the fun for a lot of people.
I’d argue that gw2 is, in fact, quite beautiful.
In fact it is. Even its surrealism is quite beautiful at 4 fps.
But think about the beauty the artists could create with a much better graphics and game engine that has less limitations and more possibilities.
At least it’s cluttered with effects, not squishy addon windows. <3
While I love the new enemies and I think the pressure they put is very cool, I would like to know: to what extent is it feasible/possible to create intelligent creatures which respond to player actions? maybe in massive scenarios such as open world maps it could be too expensive, but what about instanced content? are you guys giving some love in the enemy AI department ever since HoT was released?
@Edit
By “respond to player actions” I mean take whatever combat variables are in place (such as player position, armor class, profession, current health, amount of damage dealt, number of dodges/evades, etc) and take action based on such information. A responsive/smarter AI that takes advantage from how the player is fighting.

Selling point for me was gameplay. There has yet to be an MMO that feels so free, and the animations are so well-sync’d. I could cite a few other points like graphics and ambience (this includes background music and effects), but mechanically it’s just so powerful.
What does make me sad is how they balance the whole game because of PvP, disregarding well-stablished PvE builds. This is a steel slap on the face that starts to make me tired.
Wow… I was one of the people who always complained about lack of stuff to do, and rewards, but now I just CAN’T decide what to do! So many achievements, items, titles, and there are raids and Wintersday, and I crafted Nightfury yesterday, now there’s Winter’s Presence… I am honestly overwhelmed, how can people complain about these stuff? Maybe it’s because I have a fulltime job so I can’t stay on the computer the whole day, but even so I still have so many things to do in the game. I think the game’s over for you, or it doesn’t suit your needs (anymore?).
Thank you so much, Khisanth! I’ll finally be able to play with my friends.
The skin isn’t for everyone. The event is wonderful, and I really enjoy the Infinirarium.
First of all, the API doesn’t use OAuth, but API keys. You can generate API keys on your account page.
Then you can access all authenticated endpoints with that, for example the some basic account info, by requesting “v2/account?access_token=YOUR-API-KEY-HERE” (example with my API key)
Same thing for guild data, but currently its limited to guild leaders. You can only access guild information of guilds, where the owner of the API key is the guild leader.
As an example, I can get all members of my test guild, but I can’t get the members of the ArenaNet guild.
So all you really need is the API key of the guild leader, and you can start making requests to the API with it
Sorry for the late reply, this was VERY useful! I managed to dump rank data. Thank you!
What bugs me the most isn’t the amount, but availability. It will be gone when Wintersday’s over.
Biggest problem is that, differently from Nightfury, this achievement will be tagged as historical and we won’t be able to complete it.
Hey guys, so the guild APIs are starting to show and I wanted to check some guild stuff but I don’t quite understand how this OAuth thing works. Does anyone have a quick dummy-like tutorial, or some small example on how I can retrieve data about my guild? The guild ranks for example.
Sorry if this has been asked before.
Thanks!
Tempest no longer has the 40% protection trait, it’s been replaced by Invigorating Torrents.
Auto-attacks suck balls. Please delete and let us have double focus.
Is condi damage good against the chak gerent? Does it have a special purpose or is it just bad?

The music players idea is simply genial. I’d love that! Specially Bash the Dragon ala GW2 instruments.
Is this the “Glint used Gust. It’s Super Effective!” skill that attacks my FPS?
Yah! The nerf to aura looks is really saddening… really REALLY. R-E-A-L-L-Y saddening. It’s one of those things they’ll never undo, and will still live on as a great failure on the graphics department. Oh well…
It was never intended for the Howler to have a day/night cycle. Thanks, ANet, for the addition.
Couldn’t agree more. “Oh well, since we can’t nerf the class… LET’S NERF THE EFFECTS INSTEAD!!” ?!?!?!
So… the way you created mastery system you have to do all adventure achievements to fully maximize your masteries. Is this intended? Because I have some really tough time with a lot of them. Do the gold ones need to be created giving one mastery point? Most of them are too much difficult.
I agree with silver because it’s doable (from a person who spent a week to finish most of them), but gold is overkill (I have a friend with vision problems who has a very hard time doing Shooting Gallery for example). Could you move them into silver (2 mastery points) or just spread them among the other non-adventure achievements?
Solar Beam change is outrageous. It’s the only auto-attack in-game that requires a target. I feel completely locked gameplay-wise. Change this back, seriously, you have mashed numbers and stuff but this doesn’t feel fluid/free, it feels as silly as can be.
I can’t enter the Mine in Guild Hall. It shows blocked. What the…
The mine is closed to me, but a friend can see it. I see as if it hasn’t been opened. The terrain is all rocks, like, it’s not there, but the NPCs are inside. My friend sees it normally, but I don’t. You can check my account and whatnot, what is going on???
PS.: I own this guild. We have Mine Excavation level 2…

Your signature says “PvE deserves harder content” and you’re complaining about the difficulty of the content. Sounds like you’ve got some experimenting to do.
What one thing has to do with another? I’m seeking help here so I can be a better elementalist in order to overcome the new difficulty. Actually, that’s the whole point of this topic: seeking advice.
Dunno, I don’t have a problem fully casting the overloads and I’m playing as a berz tempest, so I guess you’re just not fully accomodated to the change. Get the stability while overloading in the tempest specialization and it’ll be way better. Also, the range of air overload is larger than you seem to think. You have to run around the mobs, kite them until you fully casted it.
I’m a very visual guy, so maybe the actual radius went missing in my eyes. I’ll experiment more tonight, thanks!
I died a lot trying fire overload. But not to long. I learned fast when to do it, to move and if interruped to continue :-).
I use flash freeze right before the overload + the 40% protection helps a bit.
In cele gear it should work.
And its much harder to pull it solo.
I was trying to use Fresh Air build against Tangled Depths meta event’s Gerent. kitten… I wonder if such thing is possible for these kinds of bosses? If I stop DPS’ing it could be a huge loss of damage against him. I might aswell camp fire for this one.
